Abstract

This article discusses strategies to improve career planning for middle high school students. Currently, some of the IX middle high school students are having problems in planning their careers. There are still students who don't know where they will go after graduation. There are students who after graduation choose schools at random, based on the choice of their parents or with friends. Here it can be seen that there is no contribution from the student's interests, talents, and desires. Therefore, it is very necessary to have career planning as a process of choosing a career direction, taking into account the opportunities, constraints, and options to achieve the desired career goals according to the potential of students such as talents, interests, intelligence with consultations between counseling teachers, students, and parents or in the form of an instrument. So, it is hoped that counseling teachers at schools have strategies in improving, developing, and directing junior high school students in career planning, and there is nothing wrong in choosing a career for their future.

Abstract

This article discusses efforts to increase students' career maturity using Holland's theory where we know at this time students are difficult to determine the career choice they will go to and also because low career maturity will result in students making wrong career decisions in the future. The method used is a literature review by critically analyzing current research on a particular topic. This article also discusses about 1.) the basic concepts of Holland's theory. 2.) characteristics of Holland's theory 3.) Strengths and weaknesses of Holland's theory. 4.) career maturity. Holland's theory discusses how to choose a career based on personality type. Holland's typological theory establishes the relationship between personality and environment by categorizing between interests and personal characteristics in a combination of six types of work: RIASEC.

Abstract

Pemilihan karir merupakan proses yang sangat penting dalam perjalanan hidup seseorang. Di mana, setiap individu harus menentukan arah pilihan karirnya dengan baik agar kehidupannya dapat berkembang sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. Akan tetapi, beberapa remaja dari keluarga broken home mengalami kesulitan dalam menentukan arah pilihan karirnya karena beberapa hal. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana arah pemilihan karir remaja yang berasal dari keluarga broken home. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah studi literatur, yaitu menghimpun berbagai referensi teori dari artikel, jurnal, dan buku yang relevan dengan kasus atau permasalahan yang ditemukan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang ditemukan remaja dari keluarga broken home cenderung sulit untuk menentukan arah pemilihan karirnya dengan baik. Namun, beberapa hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa remaja dari keluarga broken home mampu menentukan pemilihan karirnya dengan menghadirkan faktor-faktor pendukung lainnya. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa remaja dari keluarga broken home dapat menentukan arah pemilihan karirnya jika dibarengi dengan beberapa faktor pendukung.

Abstract

We can reduce the psychological phenomenon of thanatophobia in clients by carrying out spiritual counseling and religious beliefs. This study discusses the urgency of spiritual counseling for drug addicts who experience the psychological phenomenon of thanatophobia. The research method is qualitative with the following stages: determining questions, collecting informant data, getting data, and reporting. The informants comprised two counselors, three residents of the Tampan Mental Hospital, Drug Installation, and three experts. The results showed that spiritual counseling could reduce anxiety about death in clients, but in terms of its implementation it was still not optimal because implementing spiritual counseling at the Tampan Mental Hospital with Drug Installation was carried out by the help of ustad/religious leaders in collaboration with counselors.

Abstract

Keberhasilan individu pada tahap tugas pengembangan karir dasar menentukan keberhasilan dalam tahap perkembangan selanjutnya Tujuan dari  artikel ini adalah untuk menganalisis kesadaran karir di sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian studi literatur. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berasal dari hasil-hasil penelitian yang sudah dilakukan dan diterbitkan dalam jurnal online nasional dan internasional. Dimulai dengan kerangka teori, diberikan alasan  intervensi dini oleh konselor sekolah dasar. Kajian yang menjelaskan praktik konseling di sekolah dasar yang masih minim.

Abstract

Setiap pasangan pernikahan tentunya berharap sekali seumur hidup, akan berbagi suka dan duka bersama, akan berusaha bersama-sama menjalin rumah tangga yang sakinah bahkan akan menghadapi bersama keadaan sulit sekalipun. Namun sesuai Universitas Negeri Padang perkembangan zaman, pernikahan menjadi persoalan yang sangat rumit karena tingginya tingkat perceraian. Perceraian ini rentan terjadi pada pernikahan pasangan usia dini. Masa remaja merupakan masa topan badainya dan gejolaknya stress individu. Oleh sebab itu pengaplikasian terapi naratif secara aktif dan sensitif menyesuaikan praktik dengan mempertimbangkan perbedaan lintas budaya atau konselor yang menerapkan terapi naratif harus memodifikasi dan bahkan terkadang menciptakan bentuk narasi sesuai budaya kliennya.

Abstract

Berdasarkan fenomena yang ada, masih banyak calon pengantin yang belum baik dalam penyelesaian konflik. Jika syarat tersebut diabaikan, maka akan berdampak pada perceraian. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah calon pengantin di Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota dengan jumlah sampel 50 orang.. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah cluster random sampling dengan alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa Instrumen Resolusi Konflik. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa resolusi konflik pengantin berada pada kategori cukup tinggi dengan capaian persentase 68,9% , Aspek keterampilan resolusi konflik dengan tingkat tertinggi adalah aspek kemampuan persepsi dengan skor rata-rata 24,8 dan aspek dengan tingkat terendah adalah aspek kemampuan orientasi konflik perkawinan dengan skor rata-rata 16,9. Hasil penelitian ini dijadikan dasar pembuatan modul bimbingan dan konseling bagi pasangan suami istri untuk meningkatkan keterampilan resolusi konflik, dengan tujuan agar calon pengantin mampu memahami resolusi konflik dalam keluarga dengan baik dan menurunkan angka perceraian.

Abstract

Research shows that Bullying is one of the problems experienced by individuals in many countries, including Indonesia. In this study, cases were discussed in college; we intervened with clients who were victims of Bullying to reduce their anxiety by using the Solution-Focused Brief Counseling approach. This study is a type of case report that presents a case report of a client who is a victim of Bullying. This client is 20 years old and is a college student at college X. Data is revealed through counselling interviews and analyzed using the success assessment of Solution-Focused Brief Counseling. The findings reveal that clients experience anxiety after being bullied by their seniors at welcoming freshman activities. After the counselling process, clients feel relieved and calm without excessive anxiety. This proves that clients benefit from the counselling process with the Solution-Focused Brief Counseling approach that has been carried out. Researchers should then try the Solution-Focused Brief Counseling approach with different problems.

Abstract

Homosexuality is defined as romantic attraction, sexual attraction, or sexual behavior between the same sex or gender. Gay is one of the sexual disorders where man is attracted to other straight or gay man. Mostly, teenagers are unaware of this current emerging phenomenon. So, some may get involved or even dragged into this crisis which will lead them to miserable mental state. Their lack of knowledge about the concept and detrimental effect of gay behavior is also the main concern. Hence, a preventive approach should be taken to hinder teenagers, especially male students, from the negative outcome of gay behavior through guidance and counselling program. The paper followed the procedure in descriptive research design. The research population was all public high school students in Padang and there were 100 respondents which was chosen through purposive sampling. Based on the research findings, 15 students (15%) responded in the highest scale, extremely concerned. 23 students (23) were moderately concerned. 58 students (58%) seemed in uncertainty. 4 students (4%) were at loss or slightly concerned facing this crisis. In brief, most students had low awareness of this crisis. Thus, their understanding in gay behavior must be enhanced. The aid offered to help them protect themselves is providing information about the concept of gay behavior, gay characteristics, the causes of gay behavior, the impact of being a homosexual man and how they find a sexual partner through guidance and counseling program.

Abstract

At present, students are not only required to master basic knowledge but also to develop creative thinking skills to face complex global challenges. Creativity in learning is defined as the ability to generate original, useful, and contextually relevant ideas. This study aims to describe the concept of creativity in learning, analyze its role in enhancing motivation and learning outcomes, identify the factors influencing creativity development, and formulate strategies that can be applied by teachers, schools, and external environments. The research method used is a library research approach with content analysis, focusing on primary and secondary literature related to creativity, learning, and development strategies. The findings indicate that creativity plays a significant role in fostering intrinsic motivation, deepening conceptual understanding, and improving academic achievement. Internal factors (cognitive ability, personality, motivation), external factors (classroom climate, teacher-student interaction), and contextual factors (culture, technology) influence students’ creativity development. In conclusion, fostering creativity is essential to improving the quality of education, requiring collaboration among schools, teachers, families, and communities to create an innovative and adaptive learning ecosystem.
