Abstract

Desa Kuranji Dalang adalah salah satu desa yang berada di Kecamatan Labuapi, Kabupaten Lombok Barat, Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat. Potensi terbesar yang dimiliki oleh Desa Kuranji Dalang memiliki lahan pesisir yang luas tetapi belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal dalam bidang perikanan. Udang vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei) merupakan salah satu komoditi perikanan yang dapat dibudidayakan oleh masyarakat Desa Kuranji Dalang. Udang dapat dibudidayakan pada kolam terpal dengan mengaplikasikan teknologi seperti bioflok. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini ialah mengimplementasikan budidaya udang vaname di desa kuranji dalang. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan ialah dengan sosialisasi, demplot, pendampingan, pemasaran. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa wawasan masyarakat meningkat mengenai budidaya udang vaname yang didampingi oleh mahasiswa. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan budidaya udang vaname dengan kolam terpal dapat diimplementasikan di desa kuranji dalang

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan bersih pantai di Lingkungan Pondok Prasi, Kelurahan Bintaro Kota Mataram adalah untuh menjaga kebersihan Kawasan pesisir, serta menagajak ikut serta masyarakat pesisir untuk menjaga lingkungannya dan berperilaku hidup bersih dan sehat. Kegiatan Bersih Pantai Ini juga mendukung program pemerintah Nomor 83 Tahun 2018 tentang penanganan sampah laut. Kegiatan bersih pantai ini sudah dilaksanakan denngan melibatkan pihak mahasiswa, dosen Program Studi Budidaya Perairan Universitas Mataram serta masyarakat Lingkungan Pondok Prasi untuk membersihkan Pesisir Pantai. Sampah-sampah yang dibersihkan didominasi olek plastik kemasan, popok bayi dan kayu yang diduga sampah tersebut berasal dari muara dan daratan yang terakumulasi didaerah pantai Kawasan Lingkungan Pondok Prasi. Sampah plastik dan popok bayi tersebut sulit terurai dan bila dibiarkan terbuang kelautan akan membahayakan organisme dan kehidupan laut dari komoponen mikroplastik tersebut. Kegiatan Pengabdian  Pengelolaan Lingkungan Pesisir Melalui Gerakan Bersih Pantai upaya mengurangi sampah Lingkungan Pondok Prasi, Kelurahan Bintaro, Kota Mataram sudah berhasil dilaksanakan dengan baik.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengembangan budidaya rumput laut Eucheuma cottonii saat ini telah berhasil mengembangkan bibit hasil kultur jaringan untuk mengoptimalisasikan penyediaan bibit rumput laut, sehingga para pembudidaya tidak hanya mengandalkan penggunaan bibit lokal yang berulang sajaPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pertumbuhan dan kandungan pigmen rumput laut E.cottonii yang dibudidayakan menggunakan bibit lokal dan kultur jaringan. Penelitian dilakukan di Balai Perikanan Budidaya Laut (BPBL), Gerupuk, Lombok Tengah, Nusa Tenggara Barat selama 42 hari dengan metode patok dasar. Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimen dengan rancangan acak lengkap yang terdiri dari 2 perlakuan jenis bibit, yaitu A ( bibit lokal) dan B (bibit kuljar) dengan 30 ulangan. Parameter yang diukur adalah berat mutlak, laju pertumbuhan harian, produksi rumput laut, kandungan klrofil dan fikoeritrin serta kualitas air. Data dinalisa menggunakan uji statistik non-parametrik (Uji t) t-Student menggunakan program SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan bibit hasil kultur jaringan dan bibit lokal memberikan pertumbuhan dan produksi yang berbeda. Penggunaan bibit hasil kultur jaringan merupakan perlakuan terbaik karena dapat memberikan bobot mutlak rumput laut E. cottonii sebesar 201,17 g, laju pertumbuhan harian sebesar 2.62% / hari dan produksi rumput laut sebesar 609,60 g/m, didukung oleh kandungan pigmen klorofil-a dan fikoeritrin yang tinggi yaitu berturut-turut 1,60 mg/L dan 6,13 mg/L Hubungan kandungan pigmen dan laju pertumbuhan rumput laut secara umum memiliki korelasi yang kuat baik pada penggunaan bibit hasil kultur jaringan maupun bibit lokal dengan nilai koefisien korelasinya (R2) diatas 50%. Penggunaan bibit hasil kultur jaringan dapat meningkatkan produktivitas yang lebih baik dalam budidaya E.cottonii.   Eucheuma cottonii seaweed cultivation development activities have now succeeded in developing tissue culture seeds to optimize the supply of seaweed seeds, so that cultivators do not rely solely on the repeated use of local seeds.This study aimed to analyze the growth and pigment content of E. cottonii seaweed cultivated using local seeds and tissue culture. The study was conducted at the Marine Cultivation Fisheries Center (BPBL), Gerupuk, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara for 42 days using the baseline method. This study was an experiment with a completely randomized design consisting of 2 treatments of seed types, namely A (local seeds) and B (tissue culture seeds) with 30 replications. Parameters measured were absolute weight, daily growth rate, seaweed production, chlorophyll and phycoerythrin content and water quality. Data were analyzed using non-parametric statistical test (t-test) t-Student using SPSS program. The results showed that the use of tissue cultured seeds and local seeds gave different growth and production. The use of tissue culture seedlings is the best treatment because it can provide an absolute weight of E. cottonii seaweed of 201.17 g, daily growth of 2.62% / day and seaweed production of 609.60 g/m, supported by the high content of chlorophyll-a and phycoerythrin pigments, 1.60 mg/L and 6.13 mg/L, respectively. In general, the relationship between pigment content and growth rate of seaweed has a strong correlation both in the use of tissue culture seeds and local seeds with a correlation coefficient (R2) above 50%. The use of tissue cultured seedlings can increase better productivity in the cultivation of E. cottoni

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the addition of fermented E cottoni seaweed flour with the EM-4 fermenter in commercial tilapia feed. This research was conducted for 50 days at the Fish Production and Reproduction Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Mataram, while for proximate analysis it was carried out at the Laboratory of Nutrition and Animal Feed Sciences, University of Mataram. The research method used was an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD), consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications with the addition of seaweed flour 0%/kg, 10%/kg, 20%/kg, and 30%/kg of commercial feed. Parameters measured were absolute length absolute weight, specific growth rate, feed utilization efficiency ratio (EPP), feed conversion ratio (FCR), survival rate, and water quality. Data were analyzed using the ANOVA test at the 5% level. Then proceed with Duncan's test level of 5%. The results showed that the addition of different concentrations of EM-4 fermented E. cottoni seaweed flour to commercial feeds could affect growth, EPP, and FCR, but did not affect the survival rate of tilapia. The addition of E. cottoni seaweed powder fermented by EM4 at a concentration of 20% could increase the absolute weight, absolute length, specific growth rate, EPP, and FCR of tilapia which were better than the control treatment, which were respectively 7.44 g, 3, 48 cm, 2.31%/day, 93% and 1.2.

Several techniques have been developed to accelerate the molting of mud crabs, namely ablation, mutilation, and supplementation. One form of supplementation is through the use of fermented mulberry leaves in mud crab feed. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the effect of adding fermented mulberry leaves (Morus spp.) in feed to stimulate the molting of mud crabs (S. serrata). This research was carried out in traditional ponds in Bugis Village, Sape District, Bima Regency, for 60 days. The method used was an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of five treatments and three replications, namely control treatment/trash fish (P1), 20% Mulberry Leaf Fermentation (P2), 25% (P3), 30% (P4), and 40% (P5). Research parameters comprise frequency and percentage of molting, absolute growth, specific growth rate, feed utilization efficiency, feed conversion ratio, survival rate, and water quality. The results showed that the combination test feed of fermented mulberry leaf (Morus spp.) in the mud crab (S. serrata) diet did not affect all the parameters measured. The provision of mangrove crab feed formulation with a concentration of 25% mulberry leaf fermentation (P3) and control treatment (P1) gave a faster initial molting, which was the first 10 days of the rearing period with the highest average frequency and percentage of molting of 37 and 41%, respectively.

Abstract

Kegiatan sosialisasi dan diseminasi protokol kesehatan pencegahan COVID-19 hingga ke tingkat desa diseluruh wilayah nusantara terus digencarkan oleh berbagai pihak terkait. Salah satunya adalah dengansosialiasasi pemakaian masker karena masih rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat dalam tertib bermasker. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk sosialisai penggunaan masker serta pembagian maskernon medis secara gratis sehingga diharapkan dapat meningkatkaan ketaatan penggunaan masker. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Desa Suralaga, Kabupaten Lombok Timur, Nusa Tengara Barat (NTB). Masyarakat sasaran berjumlah 15 rumah/kepala keluarga (KK) dengan jumlah total masker sebanyak50 buah. Masker diperoleh dari bantuan KODEPENA (Komunitas Dosen, Penulis dan Peneliti Indonesia)Pusat yang dikirimkan beberapa hari sebelum kegiatan ini dilaksanakan. Metode yang digunakan adalahmelalui pendekatan secara door to door (dari rumah ke rumah) selama 1 hari. Adapun tahapanpelaksanaan terdiri atas : (1) Tahap perencanaan dan persiapan ; (2) Tahap pelaksanaan; (3) Tahapevaluasi dan penyususnan luaran. Berdasarkan kegiatan yang telah dilakukan, dapat diketahui bahwapermasalahan yang ada di lingkungan masyarakat adalah kurangnya kesadaran dan pengetahunterkait penggunaan masker. Namun secara keseluruhan kegiatan ini berjalan dengan baik dan semuapeserta menunjukkan sikap senang dan sangat antusias untuk menerima kegiatan pengabdian ini. Selainitu, mereka sangat terbuka dalam mengungkapkan permasalahan-permasalahan yang dihadapi sertamengungkapkan keinginan-keinginanya terkait kegiatan pengabdian ini.

Abstract

Abstract. Fish meal, corn, and rice bran are feed ingredient which easily obtained. Different of quality and amount of each ingredients in fish feed result a various respons on fish.  The aim of this study were to determine respon of growth and feed consumption of walking cat fish (Clarias sp.) which fed feed made of fish meal, rice bran, and corn. The experimental diets containing fish meal, corn meal, and rice bran meal, respectively A. 70;10:19,5.; B. 60;25;14,5 C=60,19,75:19,75; D=60:9,5:30, and the other diets, E and F, were commersial diets. Daily growth rate, feed consumption, feed eficiency, and feed conversion ratio showed significant differences (p0,05) among the treatments. In general, feed consumption rate, daily growth rate, feed efficiency, and feed conversion rate were best obtained on commercial feed, while feed made from local ingredients showed lower performance than commercial feed. The low quality of feed local ingredients were caused by used low quality of local ingredients which caused the level minimum of fibre and ash were high in 17,9% and 23,5%, respectively. The utilization of Local fish meal 60-70%, corn meal 9,5-19,75%, and rice bran meal 14,5-30% in fish diet did not result better growth performance than commercial diet, however the best formulation for local ingredients of fish meal, corn meal, rice bran meal were 60%; 19,75%; 19,75% and 60%; 9,5%;30 % respectively Keywords : Corn meal; diets; feed consumption; fish meal; growth; rice bran; walking catfish (Clarias sp.)Abstrak.  Tepung ikan, jagung dan dedak padi adalah merupakan bahan baku yang mudah diperoleh dan dapat digunakan sebagai bahan baku pakan ikan, meskipun demikian perbedaan kualitas setiap jenis bahan baku dan jumlah pengggunaan setiap bahan baku dalam pakan dapat menghasilkan respon yang berbeda terhadap ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon pertumbuhan dan konsumsi pakan ikan lele (Clarias sp.) yang diberikan pakan berbahan tepung ikan, tepung dedak padi, dan tepung jagung. Pakan uji yang dicobakan adalah pakan dengan komposisi tepung ikan: tepung jagung, dan: tepung dedak yang berbeda yaitu masing-masing A=70:10:19,5; B=60:25:14,5; C=60:19,75:19,75; D=60:9,5:30, serta dua pakan komersial yaitu E dan F Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pakan dengan komposisi bahan baku yang berbeda berpengaruh (p0,05) terhadap laju pertumbuhan harian, tingkat konsumsi pakan, efisiensi pakan dan rasio konversi pakan. Tingkat konsumsi pakan, laju pertumbuhan harian, efisiensi pakan dan rasio konversi pakan yang terbaik diperoleh pada pakan komersial sedangkan pakan yang berbahan baku lokal menunjukkan tampilan yang lebih rendah dibandingkan pakan komersial. Rendahnya kualitas pakan berbahan baku lokal diduga disebabkan oleh bahan baku lokal  yang digunakan memiliki kualitas yang rendah sehingga menghasilkan pakan dengan kandungan serat kasar dan abu yang tinggi masing-masing minimal 17,9% dan 23,5%. Penggunaan bahan baku local yaitu tepung ikan 60-70%, tepung jagung 9,5-19,75% dan dedak 14,5 – 30% belum dapat menghasilkan tampilan pertumbuhan yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan pakan komersial, meskipun demikian formulasi terbaik  pakan berbahan baku lokal diperolah pada komposisi tepung ikan; jagung; dedak adalah 60%; 19,75%; 19,75% dan 60%; 9,5%;30 %.Kata kunci    : Ikan lele (Clarias sp.); konsumsi pakan; pakan; pertumbuhan; tepung dedak; tepung ikan; tepung jagung

Abstract

Stunting is a health issue that impacts children on a local, national, and international scale. High rates of early marriage are directly associated to the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia. Children in early childhood who marry and become pregnant without the knowledge, mental and financial readiness to become good mothers pose a grave threat to the quality of the future human resources. The problem of stunting is influenced not only by a single element, but also by multiple factors, the most significant of which is the fulfillment of nutrient needs, particularly protein, in this case through fish consumption. This community service project aims to provide counseling or instruction on the significance of fish nutrition in preventing stunting, as well as teach participants how to make cookies from wet anchovies. This method of community service is counseling, which consists of multiple stages, including preparation, distribution of materials, pre- and post-testing, explanation of method to make anchovy cookies, and tasting fish-based processed foods together. From the findings of the pretest given by the speaker to the respondents, 50% of the respondents consumed around 200 g of fish on the day of counseling, and 100% of the respondents were motivated to consume fish following the counseling. In addition to emphasizing the significance of consuming fish on a regular basis for proper nutrition, the presenters demonstrated how to make anchovy cookies as an alternative snack for children. The outcome of this service activity is that the respondents are enthusiastic and inspired by the knowledge offered by the presenters, and are interested in preparing anchovy-based cookies at home.

Abstract

Abstract. Fish meal, corn, and rice bran are feed ingredient which easily obtained. Different of quality and amount of each ingredients in fish feed result a various respons on fish.  The aim of this study were to determine respon of growth and feed consumption of walking cat fish (Clarias sp.) which fed feed made of fish meal, rice bran, and corn. The experimental diets containing fish meal, corn meal, and rice bran meal, respectively A. 70;10:19,5.; B. 60;25;14,5 C=60,19,75:19,75; D=60:9,5:30, and the other diets, E and F, were commersial diets. Daily growth rate, feed consumption, feed eficiency, and feed conversion ratio showed significant differences (p0,05) among the treatments. In general, feed consumption rate, daily growth rate, feed efficiency, and feed conversion rate were best obtained on commercial feed, while feed made from local ingredients showed lower performance than commercial feed. The low quality of feed local ingredients were caused by used low quality of local ingredients which caused the level minimum of fibre and ash were high in 17,9% and 23,5%, respectively. The utilization of Local fish meal 60-70%, corn meal 9,5-19,75%, and rice bran meal 14,5-30% in fish diet did not result better growth performance than commercial diet, however the best formulation for local ingredients of fish meal, corn meal, rice bran meal were 60%; 19,75%; 19,75% and 60%; 9,5%;30 % respectively Keywords : Corn meal; diets; feed consumption; fish meal; growth; rice bran; walking catfish (Clarias sp.)Abstrak.  Tepung ikan, jagung dan dedak padi adalah merupakan bahan baku yang mudah diperoleh dan dapat digunakan sebagai bahan baku pakan ikan, meskipun demikian perbedaan kualitas setiap jenis bahan baku dan jumlah pengggunaan setiap bahan baku dalam pakan dapat menghasilkan respon yang berbeda terhadap ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon pertumbuhan dan konsumsi pakan ikan lele (Clarias sp.) yang diberikan pakan berbahan tepung ikan, tepung dedak padi, dan tepung jagung. Pakan uji yang dicobakan adalah pakan dengan komposisi tepung ikan: tepung jagung, dan: tepung dedak yang berbeda yaitu masing-masing A=70:10:19,5; B=60:25:14,5; C=60:19,75:19,75; D=60:9,5:30, serta dua pakan komersial yaitu E dan F Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pakan dengan komposisi bahan baku yang berbeda berpengaruh (p0,05) terhadap laju pertumbuhan harian, tingkat konsumsi pakan, efisiensi pakan dan rasio konversi pakan. Tingkat konsumsi pakan, laju pertumbuhan harian, efisiensi pakan dan rasio konversi pakan yang terbaik diperoleh pada pakan komersial sedangkan pakan yang berbahan baku lokal menunjukkan tampilan yang lebih rendah dibandingkan pakan komersial. Rendahnya kualitas pakan berbahan baku lokal diduga disebabkan oleh bahan baku lokal  yang digunakan memiliki kualitas yang rendah sehingga menghasilkan pakan dengan kandungan serat kasar dan abu yang tinggi masing-masing minimal 17,9% dan 23,5%. Penggunaan bahan baku local yaitu tepung ikan 60-70%, tepung jagung 9,5-19,75% dan dedak 14,5 – 30% belum dapat menghasilkan tampilan pertumbuhan yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan pakan komersial, meskipun demikian formulasi terbaik  pakan berbahan baku lokal diperolah pada komposisi tepung ikan; jagung; dedak adalah 60%; 19,75%; 19,75% dan 60%; 9,5%;30 %.Kata kunci    : Ikan lele (Clarias sp.); konsumsi pakan; pakan; pertumbuhan; tepung dedak; tepung ikan; tepung jagung
