Abstract

The development of the 21st century is marked by the increasing quality of human resources, especially in the field of science and technology. Conceptual understanding is very important to be improved in the 21st century, this is supported by the goal of an independent curriculum, namely students are able to deepen concepts and strengthen competence. In the independent curriculum, the available teaching materials are still limited, one alternative solution is to develop teaching materials based on cognitive conflict models integrated with Augmented Reality technology on global warming material in order to increase students' conceptual understanding and remediate student misconceptions. This type of research is preliminary research. The instrument used was a questionnaire which was given to 3 teachers at Padang City High School to analyze the implementation of physics learning at school. Then the questionnaire instrument was also given to 130 class X students in two different high schools in Padang City, the aim was to analyze the needs of physics learning devices at school. In addition to the questionnaire, journal analysis was also carried out to analyze high school students' conceptual understanding of global warming material. Data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. Students' conceptual understanding is still low and there are misconceptions about global warming material, which is the result of an analysis of several published journals. In addition, learning in schools is still teacher-centered, teaching materials are still limited, and technology-integrated learning media is also limited. Therefore, from the results of preliminary research it is necessary to develop cognitive conflict-based physics teaching materials that are integrated with augmented reality technology.

Abstract

Achieving 21st century skills is anticipated by managing learning based on scientific literacy. This literacy is the life skills of students, so they can solve existing problems by collaborating in thinking scientifically. Scientific literacy is defined as an understanding of the characteristics of science as a form of knowledge, awareness, intellect, and culture that involves science. Low science learning can be indicated by students' low scientific literacy. To increase students' scientific literacy, a learning model that supports this is needed. One learning model that can be used is the cognitive conflict-based learning model. Considering the phenomena and demands of students, researchers want to develop an e-module based on cognitive conflict integrated with augmented reality to increase students' physical literacy in physics materials. The type of research conducted was Design Research (Design Research). The development model used in this study was the Plomp model. The data analysis technique used a validation sheet questionnaire, analyzed using presentation techniques, and the V-Aiken formula. The results of data analysis obtained a validity value of 0.93 with the valid category, this was obtained because the e-module developed was in accordance with material substance, learning design, visual communication display, and software utilization.

Abstract

Research related to ethnoscience from culture, local wisdom, and local potential in Indonesia in the last seven years has developed, but there are still few studies conducted in Physics Education. This study aims to identify and review ethnophysics research from various cultures in Indonesia. A systematic literature review method was used with four stages: identification, selection, eligibility, and inclusion. Of the 695 journal articles screened through Mendeley and Google Scholar applications, 12 were selected as research samples because they met the research criteria. The literature review shows that the cultural aspects studied are still limited to traditional dances, games, and houses. The research is also limited to several regions such as Jayapura, Demak, East Java, West Java, Jambi, West Sumatra, Aceh, South Sulawesi, and South Central Timor in a regional or ethnic context. The physics materials studied include measurement, waves, sound, reflection and refraction of light, lunar and solar eclipses, the concept of energy and its transformation, heat, density, gravity, Newton's law, balance, work, force, motion, magnetic fields, and electric fields. Further research can be done through cultural studies, local wisdom, or local potential from unreached areas in Indonesia. The findings of this study indicate the need for a broader and deeper exploration of ethnoscience in physics education through culture, local wisdom, and other local potential in Indonesia as a learning resource for students in the classroom.
