Abstract

Classroom management is one of the important skills that a teacher must have to understand, analyze, make decisions, and take action to create a dynamic and conducive classroom atmosphere. Learning model planning is one of the indicators to support the success of a learning goal by analyzing student needs. For students, physics is a complicated lesson, often they avoid or fear this lesson. The Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is the most appropriate model to apply because this learning approach by implementing an authentic problem (real experience with what students often encounter or find in life) to students. This research is based on the literature review method by collecting data from various journals and previous scientific sources. The process in this method includes searching for literature relevant to the topic. The results show that physics learning using the PBL method shows very significant results, the PBL method students are able to understand concepts in depth compared to conventional learning or lectures.

Abstract

This article discusses various efforts and strategies in classroom management that aim to improve students' motivation, discipline and learning effectiveness. Using descriptive qualitative research methods and literature studies, this article analyzes recent studies that show that good classroom management can significantly contribute to improving students' learning abilities. Various approaches, such as the use of learning through play, teachers' creativity in creating a dynamic learning environment, and students' involvement in school policy-making, are identified as key factors in creating a positive learning atmosphere. This research also highlights the importance of classroom climate management and the role of teachers in building good interactions between students. The results of this study are expected to provide insights for educators and education managers in designing more effective classroom management strategies.

Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness and challenges of implementing the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model in multicultural classrooms, particularly focusing on its impact on interpersonal skills development. The primary aim is to investigate how the CTL model enhances student engagement by connecting academic content to real-world contexts and to identify the barriers that impede its effective application. This research utilized a qualitative approach with a case study method to examine the application of the CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) model in building inclusive learning communities and fostering interpersonal skills in multicultural classrooms. The data collection techniques used in this study included interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that while the CTL model significantly enhances student engagement and fosters the development of interpersonal skills, its implementation is fraught with challenges. Key obstacles include insufficient teacher training, misalignment with existing curriculum standards, limited resources, and institutional barriers such as rigid schedules and lack of administrative support. Despite these challenges, the research highlights the importance of sustained professional development and a supportive learning community to overcome these barriers. By addressing these issues, educators can better leverage the CTL model to create inclusive and effective learning environments. Overall, this study underscores the potential of the CTL model to transform teaching practices and improve student outcomes in multicultural settings. It calls for a concerted effort to provide the necessary support and resources for educators to implement the CTL model successfully, thereby enhancing educational experiences and fostering inclusive learning communities.

Abstract

This research aims to develop teaching materials based on local wisdom to improve the interpersonal skills of prospective elementary school teachers. The background of this research is based on the low interpersonal skills of prospective students of Elementary School Teachers at the Faculty of Teacher Training (FKIP) Cenderawasih University (Uncen) Papua. The strategy used to improve students' interpersonal skills is to integrate Khombouw into the teaching materials of the Basic Concepts of Science Elementary School. Khombouw is a local wisdom made of bark from red khombow trees (Ficus nodosa teijsm & Binn) and white khombow (Ficus variegata Blume), which grow in Sentani, Papua. This research is a research development (R&D) of the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation) design model. The results of student self-assessment on the implementation of teaching materials based on Khombouw Local Wisdom Model Guided Inquiry on interpersonal skills were 69.5% in the "good" criterion, 28.2% in the "very good" criterion, and 5.1% in the "quite good" criterion. Lecturers' observations of interpersonal skills showed results that were not much different, namely 74.3% on the good criteria, 25.6% on the very good criteria, and 7.6% on the good criteria. The value of N < g> obtained was 0.27 and was included in the low criteria. A thorough evaluation and in-depth analysis of the factors that affect the low N-Gain value is required.

Abstract

Orang tua memainkan peran yang signifikan dalam perkembangan kepribadian anak sebagai fondasi masa depan mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran orang tua dalam pembentukan karakter anak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur dari berbagai sumber terpercaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa orang tua memiliki peran signifikan sebagai teladan utama melalui pemberian contoh perilaku positif, dialog terbuka, pembiasaan nilai-nilai moral, dan pengawasan yang konsisten. Selain itu, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi orang tua, seperti kurangnya waktu akibat kesibukan pekerjaan dan pengaruh lingkungan negatif. Namun, sinergi antara ayah dan ibu dalam pengasuhan mampu memperkuat pembentukan karakter anak secara lebih holistik. Kesimpulannya, keterlibatan aktif orang tua dengan pendekatan yang tepat dapat menciptakan generasi yang berkarakter kuat, religius, dan bertanggung jawab. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan praktis dan rekomendasi yang relevan untuk mendukung pendidikan karakter di keluarga. Penelitian ini juga memberikan wawasan tentang pentingnya sinergi antara ayah dan ibu dalam pengasuhan, mengubah paradigma dari "motherhood" menjadi "parenthood" yang inklusif

Abstract

Classroom management is one of the key elements in achieving effective and efficient learning goals, especially in physics subjects. The aim of this article is to analyze the impact of classroom management on student learning outcomes and the factors that influence its effectiveness. This research was conducted using a literature research method which involved analysis of various relevant literature. Analysis shows that good classroom management, including classroom layout, attention to individual student needs, and use of supporting equipment, significantly increases student motivation and achievement of learning outcomes. The biggest challenge in classroom management is the diversity of student characteristics and limited choices. Therefore, teachers need to develop adaptive and creative management skills to create a conducive learning environment. The conclusion of this article confirms that effective classroom management not only supports the physics learning process but also contributes to the overall quality of education.

Abstract

Manajemen kelas merupakan kemampuan yang dimiliki oleh guru atau tenaga pendidik untuk mengatur serta mengelola kondisi kelas agar peserta didik dapat belajar dengan nyaman. Sebuah keberhasilan dalam manajemen kelas dapat berdasarkan seberapa baiknya guru dapat mengelola kelas dan menerapkan indikatornya Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi pengelolaan kelas yang efektif untuk meningkatkan partisipasi peserta didik dalam pembelajaran aktif. Partisipasi aktif peserta didik tidak hanya meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, tetapi juga mendukung pengembangan potensi peserta didik secara keseluruhan, termasuk keterampilan sosial, berpikir kritis, dan keterampilan kepemimpinan.

Abstract

Student learning outcomes are influenced by the PBL approach assisted by Nearpod media. This research methodology is quantitative with an experimental strategy. This study used a nonequivalent control group design pattern in a quasi-experimental research approach. Researchers chose this design in order to use Nearpod media to implement PBL principles. There are two groups, namely the control group that uses the learning model and classroom media as a comparison, and the experimental group that uses Nearpod media as a complement to the PBL paradigm. 50 fifth-grade children from Citrodiwangsan 2 Lumajang Elementary School made up the study's population. They were divided into two classes. There are 25 pupils in class 5A and 25 students in class 5B. Probability sampling combined with random sampling was the method used for sampling in this investigation. The three phases of the research process were the planning phase, the research implementation phase, and the research completion phase. Tests, observations, documentation, and interviews were the approaches used to acquire data for this study. Using the SPSS Version 26 software, the data analysis methods employed in this study included t-tests, homogeneity tests, and normality tests. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used to perform the normalcy test. To ascertain the extent to which the PBL paradigm, aided by Nearpod media, impacted the Civics learning outcomes of grade V students at SD Citrodiwangsan 2 Lumajang, the Shomogeneity test using Leven's statistics, and the t-test employed the independent sample t-test.
