Abstract

(General Background) The alignment of science assessment with students’ socio-cultural contexts is essential to ensure fairness and meaningful measurement of learning outcomes. (Specific Background) However, most contextualized assessments in science education emphasize content validity without empirically confirming their construct structure, limiting their interpretive strength. (Knowledge Gap) There remains a lack of studies that integrate content, empirical, and construct validity evidence in culturally responsive instruments, particularly those designed in parallel pre–post forms. (Aims) This study aimed to develop and validate an ethnoscience-based pre–post instrument by linking Aiken’s Content Validity Ratio (CVR, 4-point scale) with Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA, CR/AVE). (Results) Findings from five expert reviews showed 22 of 40 items exceeded the conservative threshold (Aiken’s V ≥ 0.80; CVR = 1.00). Field trials (N = 50) demonstrated moderate difficulty and positive discrimination, while CFA confirmed a three-factor structure with good fit (χ² = 34.203, df = 24, p = 0.083; CFI = 0.94; TLI = 0.92; RMSEA = 0.065). Composite reliability ranged from 0.718–0.797, and AVE was adequate for two factors (0.506; 0.568) and marginal for one (0.459). (Novelty) The study presents a transparent “content–empirical–construct” decision trail rarely reported in ethnoscience assessment. (Implications) This integrative validation framework demonstrates that cultural responsiveness and psychometric rigor can coexist, guiding fair and contextual science learning evaluations. Highlights: Integrates Aiken–CVR and CFA for comprehensive validity evidence. Confirms three-factor model with strong reliability and moderate AVE. Demonstrates synergy between cultural relevance and measurement rigor. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap pengaruh kemampuan profesional dan disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja guru. Dalam penelitian ini kemampuan profesional dan disiplin kerja menjadi faktor kunci yang mempengaruhi kinerja guru. Kompetensi profesional mengacu pada pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang dimiliki guru dalam bidang ilmu yang diajarkannya, serta dalam bidang pendidikan pada umumnya. Guru harus memiliki pemahaman yang mendalam tentang isi mata pelajaran dan menyadari perkembangan terkini dalam pendidikan dan teknologi. Selain itu, disiplin kerja juga menjadi faktor yang sangat penting yang tidak bisa diabaikan. Disiplin memegang peranan penting dalam perkembangan lembaga dan organisasi, mendorong seluruh anggotanya untuk memenuhi berbagai peraturan yang telah ditetapkan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur. Jenis sumber data atau objek kajian yang digunakan ialah artikel-artikel ilmiah dari jurnal nasional dengan tema serupa yang diterbitkan mulai pada tahun 2018 sampai 2023. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan secara terpisah (parsial) maupun bersamaan (simultan) antara kompetensi profesional dan disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja guru.

Abstract

Teknologi informasi dan komunikasi akan terus bergulir dan mengalami perkembangan yang sangat cepat. Teknologi memiliki peran yang sangat penting di bidang pendidikan dalam ilmu pengetahuan. Perkembangan teknologi yang sangat pesat menyebabkan perubahan nilai masyarakat. Nilai baru yang diciptakan oleh perkembangan teknologi disebut industry 4.0 dan society 5.0. Tuntutan global menuntut dunia pendidikan untuk selalu memperbarui teknologi dan senantiasa menyesuaikan untuk menyesuaikan sekolah dengan perkembangan teknologi. teknologi pendidikan sangat membantu dalam pembelrian pelatihan pendidikan kepada guru atau mahasiswa supaya ketika terjun ke perkerjaan ia bisa bekerja secara profesional, dan dapat menggunakan fasilitas belajar yang ada dalam perkembangan teknologi.

Abstract

Motivation in the learning process is very important for students to have as a driving force for enthusiasm in learning. Low motivation in learning can have a negative impact on decreasing student interest and learning outcomes. this study aims to investigate the factors that contribute to low student learning motivation at Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Iman. The research method used is a qualitative approach by applying a single case study method. All students of Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Iman, totaling 73 students, became the research subjects. Data collection was conducted through direct observation, direct interviews, and documentation. The results revealed four main factors that influence students' low learning motivation. First, the inadequate condition of the school environment plays a role in reducing students' enthusiasm for learning. Second, students' lack of self-responsibility is also a factor that affects learning motivation. Third, parents' motivational support regarding the importance of education is insufficient, having a negative impact on students' enthusiasm for learning. Fourth, effective cooperation agreements between parents, school and pesantren in creating discipline for students also play a role. Thus, it can be concluded that there are four main factors that contribute to low student motivation at Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Iman.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi digital dan kecerdasan buatan (AI) telah membawa transformasi besar dalam dunia pendidikan. Digitalisasi memungkinkan akses informasi yang lebih luas, pembelajaran yang lebih personal melalui sistem berbasis AI, serta efisiensi dalam pengelolaan pendidikan. Teknologi ini juga membuka peluang bagi siswa dan pendidik untuk mengembangkan keterampilan abad ke-21, seperti berpikir kritis, kolaborasi, dan kreativitas. Namun, di balik manfaatnya, terdapat sejumlah tantangan dan kekhawatiran yang perlu diperhatikan. Ketergantungan pada teknologi dapat mengurangi interaksi manusia, memperlebar kesenjangan digital antara kelompok sosial, serta menimbulkan isu privasi data siswa. Selain itu, penerapan AI dalam pendidikan menghadirkan tantangan etika, seperti potensi bias algoritma dan penggantian peran guru. Artikel ini mengeksplorasi faktor positif dan negatif dari digitalisasi dan penggunaan AI dalam pendidikan, dengan tujuan memberikan gambaran yang seimbang mengenai dampaknya. Harapan besar terhadap teknologi ini harus diimbangi dengan pengelolaan yang bijak untuk memastikan bahwa transformasi pendidikan dapat memberikan manfaat yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Abstrak Fenomena bullying di sekolah menengah atas merupakan tantangan serius yang dapat memengaruhi kesejahteraan siswa dan kualitas pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan merumuskan strategi manajemen kesiswaan yang efektif dalam menghadapi tantangan bullying di sekolah menengah atas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur untuk mengidentifikasi berbagai strategi manajemen kesiswaan dalam menghadapi bullying termasuk kebijakan anti-bullying, program edukasi, dan dukungan psikologis bagi korban dan pelaku bullying. Data bersumber dari pengumpulan melalui google scholar, garba rujukan digital, researchgate, dan semanthic scholar. Sumber pustaka yang didapatkan terdiri atas 30 sumber dan 12 literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen kesiswaan dan keterlibatan aktif guru, orang tua, dan masyarakat berperan penting dalam mencegah dan menangani kasus bullying. Strategi dalam menghadapi bullying yang dapat dilakukan meliputi identifikasi kasus, mediasi, pemberian dukungan psikologis, serta penerapan sanksi edukatif bagi pelaku.  Selain itu, penyusunan kebijakan anti-bullying yang komprehensif, pelatihan rutin bagi tenaga pendidik, penyediaan layanan konseling, dan evaluasi program secara berkala. Dengan demikian, manajemen kesiswaan yang responsif dan komprehensif diharapkan dapat menurunkan angka bullying dan mendukung pembentukan karakter siswa yang positif.   Abstract The phenomenon of bullying in high schools is a serious challenge that can affect student welfare and the quality of education. This study aims to examine and formulate effective student management strategies in dealing with the challenges of bullying in high schools. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method to identify various student management strategies in dealing with bullying including anti-bullying policies, educational programs, and psychological support for victims and perpetrators of bullying. Data sourced from collection through Google Scholar, digital reference garba, researchgate, and semantic scholar. The library sources obtained consisted of 30 sources and 12 literatures. The results of the study indicate that student management and the active involvement of teachers, parents, and the community play an important role in preventing and handling bullying cases. Strategies in dealing with bullying that can be done include case identification, mediation, providing psychological support, and implementing educational sanctions for perpetrators. In addition, the preparation of comprehensive anti-bullying policies, routine training for educators, provision of counseling services, and periodic program evaluations. Thus, responsive and comprehensive student management is expected to reduce bullying rates and support the formation of positive student character.

Abstract

Learning Props are teaching aids designed to accompany project-based learning activities. This community service is motivated by the problems faced by educators when implementing project-based learning models. Therefore an innovation is needed for these problems. SMP PGRI 1 Tempurejo is a target school in Jember district that is still less educated about the use of teaching aids in project-based learning models to support the implementation of an independent learning curriculum. This service activity is carried out in three stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation and reporting stage. The activities carried out in this community service are conducting training on the use of teaching aids media in project-based learning models to support the implementation of an independent learning curriculum for teachers and students at SMP PGRI 1 Tempurejo Jember. PhET media is an interactive simulation media that is given to students to facilitate practicum that cannot be done directly or real but uses a virtual laboratory that is effective in learning. In the training activities, teachers and students responded quite well, this was indicated by the response of teachers and students who stated that they knew about PhET media in the project-based learning model after conducting training. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the participants who took part in the training increased their insight, knowledge and skills about the use of teaching aids in the project-based learning model as a support for the implementation of an independent learning curriculum.

Abstract

One of the fundamental skills in science learning is concept understanding and critical thinking. However, science learning in schools has not focused on developing these two abilities. The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of the PODE learning model assisted by a digital pop-up book on the understanding of science concepts and critical thinking skills of elementary school students. The method applied in this study is experimental with a quasi-experimental design through a post-test-only non-equivalent control group approach. Based on the data analysis, it was found that PODE learning assisted by digital pop-up book media has a significant effect on concept understanding and critical thinking skills. Multivariate analysis showed a significant difference simultaneously on both dependent variables with a significance value of 0.000. Referring to the data obtained in this study, researchers suggest using the PODE model assisted by digital pop-up book media to improve students' understanding of science concepts and critical thinking skills. For future researchers, it is recommended to conduct longitudinal research on the PODE model and digital pop-up book media, as well as examine its effect on other variables such as creative thinking skills, higher-order thinking skills (HOTS), science process skills, and others.        Keywords: PODE learning model, digital pop-up book, science concept understanding, critical thinking skills, elementary school students.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v25i4.pp1961-1975

Abstract

The Influence of the 7E Learning Cycle Learning Model assisted by the Physics Monopoly Game on High School Students' Physics Learning Activities and Results on the Subject of Gas Kinetic Theory. Objective: knowing the effect of the Learning Cycle 7E learning model assisted by the monopoly physics game on the activities and learning outcomes of high school students. Methods: Using quasi-experimental research with a quantitative approach and posttest-only control design. The population is class XI IPA SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Jember and the sample is class XI IPA 1 (control) using the discussion and question and answer method then XI IPA 3 (experiment) using the 7E Learning Cycle model assisted by a monopoly physics game. Finding: The results of the activity t-test and student learning outcomes at SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Genteng obtained sig. (2-tailed) smaller than 0.05. Abstract

The low physics learning outcomes of students are influenced by several factors, namely the selection of learning models and media that are less supportive so students are less responsive to learning. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the Flipped Classroom model assisted by Google Classroom on student learning outcomes and describe student responses to the Flipped Classroom model assisted by Google Classroom on straight-motion dynamics material. This research is an experimental research using a posttest-only control group design. The sample selection was done by cluster random sampling method. Data collection methods consist of observation, interviews, documentation, written tests, and questionnaires. The data analysis technique of learning outcomes used an independent sample t-test, while student responses used score criteria. The results showed that the Sig. (2-tailed) in the t-test using SPSS is 0.000 (? 0.05). Then, for the results of experimental class student responses, the results of the response aspect were 82.58% and the reaction aspect was 83.44%, both of which were in the interval 80 ? P ? 100 with a very good category. The conclusion obtained is that there is a significant effect of the application of the Flipped Classroom model assisted by Google Classroom on the learning outcomes of students of SMAN 3 Jember on the material of the dynamics of straight motion. Then, the results of student responses to the application of the Flipped Classroom model assisted by Google Classroom on the material of the dynamics of straight motion obtained positive responses and reactions and included in the very good criteria.
