Abstract

This research was motivated by the low entrepreneurial intentions of beauty training graduates at BPVP Padang City. This is because of the low level of social support received by beauty training graduates. This research aims to see a picture of social support, a picture of entrepreneurial intentions, and determine the relationship between social support and entrepreneurial intentions for beauty training graduates.This type of research is quantitative research with a correlational type. The population in this study were beauty training graduates with a total population of 64 beauty training graduates and the sample in this study was 48 beauty training graduates. The sampling technique uses Stratified Random Sampling. Data collection techniques using questionnaires are distributed via g-form. For data analysis techniques, use the percentage formula and product moment correlation formula.The results of this research show that: (1) Social support is categorized as low, (2) Entrepreneurial intentions are categorized as low, (3) There is a significant relationship between social support and entrepreneurial intentions for Padang City BPVP beauty training graduates. Recommended to: (1) BPVP Padang City can provide support and assistance in entrepreneurship. (2) To Educators or Instructors to further increase social support and entrepreneurial intentions which are not yet high. (3) To other researchers so they can look for other variables that can influence entrepreneurial intentions.Keywords: Social Support, Entrepreneurial Intentions.

Abstract

The Relationship Between Emotional Intelligence and Learning Discipline of Students at Extracurricular Surau at Baiturrahmah Middle School, Padang City. Thesis. Faculty of Science Education. Padang State University. This research was motivated by the low level of student learning discipline in the extracurricular surau at Baiturrahmah Middle School, Padang City. This is presumably due to the relationship between emotional intelligence and students' learning discipline. This study aims to look at the description of emotional intelligence, the description of learning discipline, and to know the relationship between emotional intelligence and students' learning discipline. This study uses a quantitative method with a correlational type. The population in this study were students with a total population of 58 students and the sample in this study totaled 36 students. The sampling technique used proportionate stratified random sampling. Data collection techniques using questionnaires or questionnaires. And for data analysis techniques using the percentage formula and product moment correlation formula.The results showed that: (1) Emotional intelligence is categorized as low, (2) Learning discipline is categorized as low, (3) There is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and student learning discipline in the extracurricular surau at Baiturrahmah Middle School, Padang City. It is recommended to: (1) Students are able to manage their emotions well, (2) Schools can work together with parents of students to help improve children's emotional intelligence, (3) It is hoped that future researchers can identify other factors or other variables.

Abstract

Challenges and changes in the 21st century require students to have 4C skills (Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Communication, and Creativity). These 4C skills are closely related to HOTS or higher-order thinking skills. Familiarizing students with HOTS skills in making decisions will be able to act quickly and efficiently compared to students who are less trained in HOTS thinking. These HOTS skills should be loaded into RADEC-based teaching materials. However, its application is still not optimal at the SD level. This study aimed to develop teaching materials based on the RADEC model (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain and Create) to improve the good high-order thinking skills of fifth-grade elementary school students. The model used in this development research is the 4-D development model. It is a model that defines, designs, develop, and distributes information. Sixty-one fifth-grade students from SDN 35 Payakumbuh, SDN 13 Payakumbuh and SDN 07 Payakumbuh participated in this study. The products developed are tested for validity using validation sheets from material experts, linguists, and media experts. This validation sheet is used to determine the validity of their answers. Material expert validation scored 94% in the "very valid" category. For linguists, it was 95% in the "very valid" category, and media experts got 93% in the "very valid" category. This proves that RADEC Model-Based Teaching Materials To Increase Student HOTS Class V SD should properly be used as teaching materials in elementary schools. Tantangan dan perubahan pada abad ke 21 ini mengaharuskan siswa memiliki keterampilan 4C (Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Communication, dan Creativity). Keterampilan 4C ini sangat erat kaitannya dengan HOTS atau kemampuan berfikir tingkat tinggi. Membiasakan siswa untuk memiliki keterampilan HOTS dalam mengambil keputusan maka akan dapat bertindak cepat dan efisiensi jika dibandingkan siswa yang kurang dilatih dalam berpikir secara HOTS. Keterampilan HOTS ini harusnya dapat dimuat kedalam bahan ajar berbasis RADEC. Namun, penerapannya masih belum optimal pada jenjang SD. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis model RADEC (Read,Answer,Disscuss,Explain and Create) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa siswa kelas V sekolah dasar yang valid. Model yang digunakan dalam penelitian pengembangan ini adalah model pengembangan 4-D. Ini adalah model yang mendefinisikan, merancang, mengembangkan, dan mendistribusikan informasi. Sebanyak 61 siswa kelas V dari SDN 35 Payakumbuh, SDN 13 Payakumbuh dan SDN 07 Payakumbuh berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Produk yang dikembangkan diuji validitasnya dengan menggunakan lembar validasi ahli materi, ahli bahasa dan ahli media. Lembar validasi ini digunakan untuk menentukan validitas jawaban mereka. Validasi ahli materi mendapat skor 94% kategori “sangat valid”, dari ahli bahasa adalah 95% kategori “sangat valid” dan ahli media mendapat skor 93% kategori “sangat valid”, Hal ini membuktikan bahwa Bahan Ajar Berbasis Model RADEC Untuk Meningkatkan HOTS Siswa Kelas V SD sudah selayaknya digunakan sebagai bahan ajar di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand the implementation of character education in the formation of students' holistic personality. The method used is qualitative research carried out at SMAN 1 Enam Lingkung. To obtain information, direct observation activities were carried out to the school and then searched for various literature and conducted interviews with key informants consisting of the principal, vice principals, homeroom teachers, teachers and students. After the interview activity was carried out, the researcher processed the data using inductive techniques with steps consisting of data reduction activities, data presentation and data verification. The results of this study are: (1) there are two strategies in the implementation of character education in SMAN 1 Enam Lingkung, namely internal and external; (2) the form of internal strategy can be pursued through five pillars, namely teaching and learning activities in the classroom, self-development activities before entering the lesson time at start, daily activities at school, habituation activities, co-curricular activities, and extra-curricular activities; and (3) external strategies can be implemented by cooperating with parents or guardians of students and the community.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of Stoic philosophy into guidance and counseling practices, specifically focusing on its application in managing stress among adolescents. It examines the philosophical underpinnings of guidance and counseling through the lenses of ontology, epistemology, and axiology, highlighting their interconnectedness in shaping the practice. The research utilizes a qualitative descriptive approach, employing a literature review methodology to analyze relevant scholarly works and texts. The study reveals that Stoic philosophy, with its emphasis on self-control, acceptance, and focusing on what is within one's control, offers a valuable framework for addressing stress. The core principles of Stoicism, particularly the "dichotomy of control," are presented as a practical tool for counselors to guide adolescents in navigating stressful situations. The study concludes that incorporating Stoic philosophy into guidance and counseling practices can empower adolescents to develop resilience, manage emotions effectively, and cultivate a more balanced and fulfilling life. The findings suggest that Stoicism's emphasis on self-awareness, rational thinking, and acceptance can serve as a valuable intervention strategy for counselors working with adolescents experiencing stress.

Abstract

This research is motivated by success of embroidery skills training program which was marked by the success of the embroidery training participants at the UPTD Social Institution for Youth Development in Padang Pnajang City who were absorbed in the world of work market. This is allegedly due to the management of the implementation of the training program. This study aims to describe the management of the embroidery skills program in terms of planning, evaluation and implementation. It is type research a quantitative descriptive research. The subjects of this study were embroidery training participants at the UPTD Center for Community Development in Padang Panjang City. The samples taken were 50 training participants. The collection data technique used by researchers is a questionnaire. Data collection instrument used by researchers is a questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses the percentage formula. The results of the research show that the management of embroidery skills Training Program at the UPTD Social Institution for Bina Adolescents in Padang Panjang City, from a planning perspective, was categorized as a planned program according to needs. Second, in terms of implementation, the material provided is categorized as needed. Third, in terms of evaluation, it is categorized as training participants who are able to understand the theory and practice provided well.Keywords: Program management, training institusion

Abstract

This research is motivated by the role of extension workers in increasing business success. The aim is to find out how the role of extension workers is in educating members so that later they will achieve better results so that later they can improve the economy and the community's knowledge in raising livestock. improve skills and increase community knowledge. The purpose of this study was to see the role of extension workers in the learning process in the cross-expectation livestock business group. research is based on a qualitative approach with case study research. Data sources in this case are extension workers, chairmen, secretaries, treasurers, and members of the Cross-Hope Livestock Business Group. Data collection techniques used in this study were observations, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.  Data validation technique uses triangulation. Research result shows that the role of extension workers here is as a facilitator, innovator, and motivator. With this group of women farmers, the community should be aware that we need to take advantage of our yards by planting something that is healthy and able to help with household needs and increase family income.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya perilaku prososial warga belajar di Rumah Tahfidz Qur’an Hidayatullah Jorong Balai Belo Kabupaten Agam. Kondisi ini diduga disebabkan oleh faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi rendahnya perilaku prososial, salah satu faktor yang diduga sangat mempengaruhi adalah kurangnya media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peningkatan perilaku prososial warga belajar di Rumah Tahfidz dengan penggunaan media pembelajaran berupa permainan tradisional galah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu (Quasi Experiment). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah warga belajar di Rumah Tahfidz Qur’an Hidayatullah sebanyak 30 orang warga belajar yang semuanya menjadi sampel penelitian. Dengan menggunakan analisis data menggunakan rumus uji paired sample t-test. Dari pengolahan data dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara perilaku prososial warga belajar sebelum diberikan tindakan (pretest) dan setelah diberikan tindakan (posttest) menggunakan permainan tradisional galah di Rumah Tahfidz Qur’an Hidayatullah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi kurangnya hasil belajar santri yang diduga disebabkan oleh kurangnya pendampingan orang tua yang diterima santri TPQ Al-Hidayah Nagari Sungai Duo Kecamatan Sitiung.Tujuan penelitian ini yakni 1. Mengetahui gambaran pendampingan orang tua santri TPQ Al-Hidayah Nagari Sungai Duo Kecamatan Sitiung. 2. Mengetahui gambaran hasil belajar santri TPQ Al-Hidayah Nagari Sungai Duo Kecamatan Sitiung. 3. Mengetahui hubungan antara pendampingan orang tua dengan hasil belajar santri TPQ Al-Hidayah Nagari Sungai Duo Kecamatan Sitiung. Penelitian dilakukan secara pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis korelasional. Populasi penelitian yaitu 45 santri TPQ Al-Hidayah Nagari Sungai Duo Kecamatan Sitiung. Sementara sampel penelitian yakni teknik simple random sampling, dengan mengambil 70% populasi yaitu 32 santri. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan persentase serta product moment. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: (1) Pendampingan orang tua santri TPQ Al-Hidayah Nagari Sungai Duo Kecamatan Sitiung masih kurang dalam aspek indikator memenuhi kebutuhan belajar, memberi nasihat, pemberian bimbingan, memberi motivasi serta penghargaan, serta pengawasan (2) Hasil belajar santri TPQ Al-Hidayah Nagari Sungai Duo Kecamatan Sitiung masih dalam kategori kurang. Ini dibuktikan dengan hasil UAS dari santri yang menunjukkan masih banyak santri yang mendapat nilai dalam kategori kurang. (3). Pendampingan orang tua mempunyai hubungan yang signifikan dengan hasil belajar santri TPQ Al-Hidayah Nagari Sungai Duo Kecamatan Sitiung.

Abstract

Studi ini dilatarbelakangi dari rendahnya partisipasi ibu balita dalam kegiatan posyandu di Desa Tampat Durian, yang diakibatkan oleh minimnya dukungan sosial dari komunitas setempat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: 1) menggambarkan dukungan sosial bagi ibu balita dalam mengikuti posyandu di Desa Tampat Durian; 2) menggambarkan tingkat partisipasi ibu balita dalam posyandu di Desa Tampat Durian; dan 3) menganalisis hubungan antara dukungan sosial dan partisipasi ibu balita dalam kegiatan posyandu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasi. Populasi penelitian adalah ibu-ibu yang memiliki balita di Desa Tampat Durian tahun 2023/2024. Teknik stratified random sampling digunakan untuk menentukan sampel, sehingga diperoleh 44 ibu balita dari Desa Tampat Durian. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan persentase serta rumus korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) Dukungan sosial bagi ibu balita dalam mengikuti posyandu di Desa Tampat Durian tergolong rendah. 2) Partisipasi ibu balita dalam kegiatan posyandu di Desa Tampat Durian juga rendah. 3) Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara dukungan sosial dan partisipasi ibu balita dalam kegiatan posyandu.
