Abstract

Teaching is widely recognized as a high-stress profession, significantly impacting educators' well-being and professional performance. This study explores the relationship between stress, mindfulness, and emotional resilience among educators, with a focus on readiness for emotional management training. Using a quantitative methodology, the research collected data from 30 educators in Cimahi, Indonesia, employing structured questionnaires to measure stress levels, mindfulness awareness, emotional challenges, and training readiness, establishing a clear baseline for intervention. The findings highlight pervasive stress levels, mainly attributed to workload and classroom pressures, negatively affecting teaching quality and relationships. Foundational mindfulness skills were evident, yet significant gaps in emotional regulation, particularly in managing impulsive reactions, persisted. Importantly, educators displayed high readiness for emotional management training, especially those under greater stress, underscoring the potential for targeted, impactful professional development. The interplay between stress, mindfulness, and readiness for training points to the need for holistic, integrated interventions. This research advances the understanding of educator well-being by bridging local insights with global evidence. It advocates systemic reforms to alleviate workload and improve access to emotional support resources.

Abstract

The research aimed to evaluate the impact of community waste management education on waste handling and disposal practices among the residents of RW 08 in Kecamatan Binong, Kota Bandung. It sought to investigate how participation in education programs influenced community awareness and attitudes towards waste management, as well as to assess the long-term effects of these educational initiatives on the environment and the overall well-being of the community The chosen research methodology was a qualitative case study design, employing semi-structured interviews and participant observation. Thematic analysis and triangulation were utilized to examine the data. The findings underscore the transformative potential of community-driven waste management education programs. Participants not only improved waste management practices but also experienced a mindset shift, perceiving waste as an economic opportunity. Community involvement, hands-on learning, behavior change campaigns, collaboration with local authorities, and incentives were key factors contributing to the program's success. These findings not only advance waste management practices but also demonstrate the potential of community-based initiatives to drive positive change in both environmental and economic dimensions.

Abstract

Parent-child communication is a cornerstone of family relationships and child development, fostering emotional bonds, trust, and social skills. However, modern family life introduces challenges, including emotional mismatches, time constraints, and the pervasive influence of technology. This study explores the barriers, strategies, and influences shaping parent-child communication within Kelurahan Linggajaya, Kecamatan Mangkubumi, Kota Tasikmalaya. The research focuses on parents with children aged 7-12 years, a critical developmental period marked by increasing autonomy and exposure to external influences. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and document studies involving 20 parents. Thematic analysis revealed significant barriers, including emotional mismatches that lead to misunderstandings, time constraints that limit meaningful interactions, and technological distractions that reduce engagement. Despite these challenges, parents demonstrated resilience through strategies such as emotional awareness, active listening, and leveraging structured routines like mealtimes for communication. The study also highlights the dual role of technology, which facilitates remote connectivity but often disrupts face-to-face interactions, requiring parents to strike a delicate balance. These findings underscore the importance of adaptive communication strategies and the need for practical parenting resources to address the complexities of modern family life. The study contributes to the literature by offering insights into the intersection of emotional, technological, and developmental factors in a specific cultural context. Future research should explore children’s perspectives and long-term impacts on family cohesion and child development.

Abstract

In the digital era of Industry 4.0, technology-enabled service innovation and social media marketing have become essential strategies for businesses seeking to enhance customer loyalty and drive revenue growth. This study aims to systematically review existing literature to understand how these digital strategies individually and synergistically influence customer retention and financial performance. Using a comprehensive literature review method, peer-reviewed journal articles and conference proceedings published between 2000 and 2025 from the Scopus database were analyzed. The analysis focused on key themes, trends, and research gaps related to the adoption of digital service innovations and social media marketing approaches. The findings reveal that technological innovations such as artificial intelligence-powered chatbots, mobile applications, and digital payment systems significantly improve customer experience through increased convenience, personalization, and service efficiency, thereby fostering loyalty across various sectors. Simultaneously, social media marketing enhances customer engagement via interactive and personalized content, influencer collaborations, and user-generated media, strengthening emotional connections and brand loyalty. The integration of technology-enabled service innovation with social media marketing generates synergistic effects, leading to sustained repurchase behavior and enhanced revenue generation. Challenges remain in effectively measuring financial impacts, developing organizational capabilities, and addressing ethical considerations related to data privacy and digital trust. Overall, this review highlights the critical role of integrated, customer-centric digital strategies in sustaining competitive advantage and financial success in the evolving digital marketplace. Future research should focus on emerging technologies and contextual factors influencing digital innovation effectiveness. This study provides valuable insights for practitioners and researchers aiming to harness digital transformation for customer loyalty and business growth.

Abstract

This study analyzes the role of the Read Aloud Community Bandung in advancing community-based literacy culture through parent-led reading practices. Using a qualitative, phenomenological approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with nine parents participants and one community founder along with direct observation and documents study. Thematic analysis revealed seven key domains. First, literacy is viewed as a form of cultural capital, yet constrained by structural barriers including cost, time, and societal perceptions. Second, participants’ initial reading aloud experiences were marked by emotional engagement and improved cognitive stimulation. Third, the practice of reading aloud was found to enhance vocabulary, comprehension, and school readiness. Fourth, significant challenges were identified, including digital distractions, parental isolation, and myths about book ownership. Fifth, the initiative fostered confidence, peer learning, and a renewed sense of purpose among participants. Sixth, while the organization thrives on volunteerism, it faces limitations in scalability and continuity. Lastly, the community proposed practical strategies for expansion, such as local coordinators and inclusive outreach. These findings suggest that the Read Aloud Community Bandung effectively repositions literacy as a relational, accessible, and community-driven practice, contributing valuable insights to the discourse on grassroots literacy development in under-resourced urban contexts.
