Abstract

Abstract: This study describes: (1) the role of the principal in the implementation of character education in schools; (2) the involvement of "tri pusat pendidikan" in supporting the implementation of strengthening character education in schools; (3) the importance of strengthening character education in schools. This study aims to determine the role of the principal in maximizing the strengthening of character education in schools by involving the role of the "tri center of education" to obtain maximum results. Character education cannot be separated from the role of the family environment and the community environment so that the roles of the three environments are interrelated. Character education applied in schools is carried out using the concept of self-discipline which will shape the personality of students through habituation. Schools in implementing character education also involve the role of the community and parents to participate in character education in schools. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach and the type of case study research. Abstract

Efforts to realize Pancasila Student Profiles based on the local culture of the Tengger tribe are a process of realizing students with character based on the values and culture that develop in a tribe. This study aimed to explain the phenomena that occur at SD di Atas Awan Jarak Ijo to realize the Pancasila Student Profile based on the local culture of the Tengger tribe. This study uses a qualitative approach with a type of research design through case studies. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observations, and documentary studies with snowball sampling. The research showed that SD di Atas Awan Jarak Ijo Malang Regency embodies the Pancasila Student Profile based on the local cultural values of the Tengger tribe by adopting the local culture of the Tengger tribe, namely Kasada, and Karo. The school adopted Kasada and Karo’s activities with a permit/dispensation strategy and went home early. Efforts to realize the Pancasila Student Profile are supported by internal driving factors, namely domicile teachers, culturally strong school members, and student awareness, and there are also external driving factors, namely support from parents, society, and technological developments. However, there are also internal inhibiting factors, namely students playing on mobile phones, and facilities, while external inhibiting factors, namely globalization, community environment, and per capita income.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe (1) the policies in planning, implementing, and supervising the special job, (2) Strategies and cooperation implemented by the special job fair with work partners, and (3) the usefulness of special job fair in developing the carrier of SMK Negeri 4 Malang students. The research method used is a qualitative research method using a case study design. Data collection techniques used are interviews, documentation, and observation. The subjects of this research are the chairman of a special job fair, member of a special job fair, head of public relations, admin of public relations, three students, and three graduates. Data analysis is used with data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing or verification. The results of this study are, (1) The supervision of BKK activities was conducted directly and indirectly by Public relations. BKK evaluated and reported the result of graduate search result viii and the report of work program to internal and external schools; (2) Strategies and cooperation implemented by the special job fair with work partners in Covid-19 Pandemic were done by applying two approaches namely BKK targeting or aiming the industries or the industries requesting to cooperate with BKK, and (3) The usefulness of the special job fair in developing the carrier of SMKN 4 Malang students was done through educative webinar implementation during Covid-19 Pandemic is increasing their knowledge and preparation to continue the next carrier they desire, through working, building a business, or continuing their study. Keywords: The management of special job fair, Covid-19 pandemic, a workforce of the vocational school graduates, role in public relations and partnership, the world of business and industry

Abstract

This research explores methods for integrating religious values in scouting, focusing on interaction dynamics, challenges, and solutions at SDIT Al-Mumtaz. Using a case study and qualitative methods (Miles, M.B, Huberman, A.M, Saldana, 2014), it condenses data stages, emphasizing diverse tailored methods aligned with scouting levels, integration goals, and student needs. Collaborative mentor efforts, flexibility, and adaptability are crucial. Intensive participant-facilitator interaction significantly impacts religious character values implementation. Facilitators, as "mothers" and "leaders," act as instructors and role models, fostering two-way communication for skill development and understanding. Challenges include fear management, student understanding variations, designing entertaining and educational scouting activities, social pressure, and differing participant skills. Despite challenges, SDIT Al-Mumtaz mentors successfully employ planned approaches and high commitment

Abstract

The study investigates the performance of students in constructing Concept Maps (CM) related to environmental pollution material during the COVID-19 pandemic. The data reveals that the overall achievement in CM construction was suboptimal, with no component reaching more than half of its maximum potential. The highest achievement was recorded in the valid relationship component, which attained 9.75% of its maximum possible score. This was followed by the hierarchy component, achieving 7.34%, and the branching component at 3.42%. The pattern component ranked fourth with 1.31%, closely followed by the example component at 1.30%. The lowest performance was observed in the crosslink component, with an achievement of 0.00%. The analysis suggests that students struggled significantly with constructing comprehensive and complex CM, indicating a need for further instructional support. The low scores, particularly in critical components such as crosslinks and examples, highlight gaps in students’ ability to synthesize and analyze information, which are vital for developing more advanced CM. These findings point to the importance of enhancing students’ conceptual understanding and analytical skills to improve their learning outcomes, especially in the context of environmental pollution education during the challenges posed by the pandemic.DOI: 10.17977/jps.v12i42024p141

Abstract

Abstract: The aims of this research are: (1) to describe the level of activeness in student organizations at SMAN in Kebumen Regency; (2) describe the ability to manage time for SMAN students in Kebumen Regency; (3) knowing the effect of being active in an organization on the ability to manage the time of high school students in Kebumen Regency. This research is a correlational descriptive research. The sampling technique using proportional stratified random sampling was used in each school with a total sample of 379 students. The analysis technique used is descriptive analysis, correlational, and hypothesis testing with the help of IBM SPSS statistics 25. The results of this study are: (1) the level of activeness in the organization of high school students in Kebumen Regency belongs to the high category; (2) the ability to manage time for high school students throughout Kebumen Regency is in the high category; (3) there is a significant and positive influence between organizational activity on the ability to manage time for high school students in Kebumen Regency.Keywords: organizational activity; time management; skills Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini yakni: (1) mendeskripsikan tingkat keaktifan berorganisasi siswa SMAN se-Kabupaten Kebumen; (2) mendeskripsikan kemampuan mengelola waktu siswa SMAN se-Kabupaten Kebumen; (3) mengetahui pengaruh keaktifan berorganisasi terhadap kemampuan mengelola waktu siswa SMAN se-Kabupaten Kebumen. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif korelasional. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Proporsionate Stratified Random Sampling digunakan di masing-masing sekolah dengan jumlah sampel total sebanyak 379 siswa. Teknik analisis yang digunakan yakni teknik analisis deskriptif, regresi, dan uji hipotesis dengan bantuan IBM SPSS Statistic 25. Hasil penelitian ini yakni: (1) tingkat keaktifan berorganisasi siswa SMAN se-Kabupaten Kebumen tergolong dalam kategori tinggi; (2) kemampuan mengelola waktu siwa SMAN se-Kabupaten Kebumen tergolong dalam kategori tinggi; (3) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan positif antara keaktifan berorganisasi terhadap kemampuan mengelola waktu siswa SMAN se-Kabupaten Kebumen.Kata kunci: keaktifan berorganisasi; kemampuan mengelola waktu; skills

Abstract

Abstract: Character education that is instilled in students can be related to local cultural wisdom so that it is not eroded by the increasingly advanced era of globalization. The purpose of this study is to review in depth the management of character education based on local cultural wisdom of the Samin community starting from planning, implementation, monitoring, and the inhibiting and supporting factors of character education management activities. This research method uses a qualitative approach to the type of research design through case studies. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews, observation, and documentary studies. Data analysis was carried out by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The result of the research is that SDN Margomulyo II Margomulyo Sub-District holds an Annual School Work Plan which produces the P5 teaching module. The activities carried out to implement character education based on the local cultural wisdom of the Samin people are through bazaars (market day) which is held on Fridays and the Samin festival, namely poetry reading and writing competitions. There are inhibiting factors, namely the lack of discipline of students, ignoring teacher advice, and at home there are still those who do not obey their parents' orders, while the supporting factors are the native residents of Kampung Samin who have been taught aboutGreat Advice, "Margomulyo Inspires" activities that can help students with good character are appropriateGreat Advice Samin's teachings, as well as good examples from parents, school principals, teachers, and community leaders.Keywords: education management, character education, local culture, Samin society, globalization era. Abstrak: Pendidikan karakter yang ditanamkan kepada peserta didik dapat berkaitan dengan kearifan budaya lokal agar tidak tergerus dengan era globalisasi yang semakin maju. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengulas secara mendalam mengenai manajemen pendidikan karakter berbasis kearifan budaya lokal masyarakat Samin yang dimulai dari perencanaan, implementasi, pengawasan, dan faktor penghambat dan pendukung dari kegiatan manajemen pendidikan karakter. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis rancangan penelitian melalui studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumenter. Analisis data dilakukan dengan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian adalah SDN Margomulyo II Kecamatan Margomulyo mengadakan Rencana Kerja Tahunan Sekolah yang menghasilkan modul ajar P5. Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan untuk mengimplementasikan pendidikan karakter berbasis kearifan budaya lokal masyarakat Samin adalah melalui bazar (market day) yang dilaksanakan di hari Jum’at dan festival Samin yaitu lomba baca dan cipta puisi. Terdapat faktor penghambat yaitu kurang displinnya peserta didik, tidak menghiraukan nasihat guru, dan saat di rumah masih ada yang tidak menuruti perintah orang tua, sedangkan faktor pendukungnya yaitu warga asli Kampung Samin yang sedari kecil telah diajarkan tentang Pitutur Luhur, kegiatan “Margomulyo Menginspirasi” yang dapat membantu peserta didik berkarakter baik sesuai Pitutur Luhur ajaran Samin, serta adanya teladan baik dari orang tua, kepala sekolah, guru, dan tokoh masyarakat.Kata kunci: manajemen pendidikan, pendidikan karakter, budaya lokal, masyarakat Samin, era globalisasi.

Abstract

Salah satu upaya dalam pengelolaan ikan gulamah (Jhonius trachycephalus) yaitu dengan mengetahui aspek reproduksi ikan. Aspek reproduksi harus dilakukan karena sebagai dasar dalam pengelolaan ikan agar tetap lestari. Reproduksi ikan merupakan kemampuan suatu individu dalam menjaga kelangsungan hidup suatu ikan. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian adalah agar mendapat pengetahuan tentang segala hal yang berhubungan dengan reproduksi ikan gulamah (Jhonius trachycephalus). Teknik pengambilan data ikan menggunakan metode survei. Analisis aspek reproduksi yang ingin diketahui antara lain nisbah kelamin, indeks kematangan gonad (IKG) dan tingkat kematangan gonad (TKG). Hasil penelitian nisbah kelamin ikan gulamah (Jhonius trachycephalus) bulan Maret menunjukkan pola seimbang (0,6 : 1), sedangkan pada bulan April hingga Mei menunjukkan pola tidak seimbang (0,4 : 1). Tingkat kematangan gonad ikan gulamah (Jhonius trachycephalus) yang ditemukan pada Maret hingga Mei paling banyak adalah pada TKG I. Nilai IKG ikan gulamah (Jhonius trachycephalus) paling banyak ditemukan pada bulan April dengan nilai 1,22%.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: (1) to assess the strategies used in improving public image; (2) assessing the suitability of organizational goals with the strategies used; (3) assessing the effectiveness of the organization in implementing the strategy; and (4) provide recommendations to leaders in improving the weaknesses of the strategies used. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach, with interview and observation data collection techniques. The research was conducted at SMA Panjura Malang City with the key informant, namely the principal, with the teacher as additional informants. The results of this study indicate that to improve the public image of the school is to publish about the excellence of the school. The strategy used by the school is also very suitable for the purpose of publication to attract enthusiasts to attend SMA Panjura Malang City. In addition, the strategy used for the publication program was very effective. This can be proven by the progress of the number of interested students. The community in implementing the public relations program at SMA Panjura Malang City also provides criticism and suggestions to the school so that this program can be carried out effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Abstract All management activities in schools require letters in their operational activities. Management of letters and archives does not always run smoothly and often encounters problems. Problems in managing letters and archives in the era of technological development can be overcome by using various systems and applications. This study aims to analyze existing problems and help to use applications and systems that can ease the management process. This study uses a qualitative method. Data were obtained through direct interviews which were then analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of this study are the problems that arise, namely the absence of a system to manage archives. The researcher then created an archive system called E-Patr to overcome this problem. Abstrak Segala kegiatan manajemen di sekolah membutuhkan surat dalam kegiatan operasionalnya. Pengelolaan surat dan arsip tidak senantiasa berjalan mulus dan seringkali menemui permasalahan. Permasalahan dalam pengelolaan surat dan arsip di zaman berkembangnya teknologi dapat diatasi dengan menggunakan berbagai sistem dan aplikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis permasalahan yang ada serta membantu untuk menggunakan aplikasi maupun sistem yang mampu meringankan proses pengelolaan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara secara langsung yang kemudian dianalisis secara dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah permasalahan yang muncul yakni tidak adanya sistem untuk mengelola kearsipan. Peneliti kemudian membuat sistem arsip bernama E-Patr untuk menanggulangi masalah tersebut.
