Abstract

This study aims to describe and explore the achievement of competencies in information literacy and collaboration skills as part of 21st century competency in accounting education students at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS). The respondents of this study were 207 students with a mixed method approach through convergent parallel design. The results of the study showed that most students had information literacy skills but were still relatively low. This can be seen from students who had mostly used the internet, but did not use trusted sources. This condition is exacerbated by students not filtering and validating the information so that the information submitted tends to be biased, only a few used credible journals as a reference while the rest used sources whose information credibility was still doubtful. In collaboration skills, the achievement of this competency varies between students who are active in campus organizations, non-campus organizations, and do not follow any organization. Those who were active in the organization seem to be better at mastering this competency. This can be seen in the aspect of contributions in groups and accepting responsibility. Courage to accept new responsibilities was not fully owned, some were still hesitant to accept the responsibility given to him for various reasons, especially those classified as inactive organizations. In this aspect, it appears that students who were active in non-campus organizations considered a mandatory task to be disliked. Whereas in the aspect of collective responsibility, students both active and non-active in organizations had the same competencies where they wanted and were able to work together in teams.

Abstract

One of the national heroes who fought for education in Indonesia was Ki Hajar Dewantara. The various thoughts that Ki Hajar Dewantara contributed brought progress to education in Indonesia. The five basics of education, according to Ki Hajar Dewantara, encompass guiding, the nature of nature, the nature of the times, manners, and the among system. Many previous studies have discussed the “among system.” Therefore, in this study, the researchers aim to outline Ki Hajar Dewantara's "guiding" basics of education at elementary school. The method used in this research was qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection was carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques employed the Milles and Huberman model, including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The research findings demonstrated that Ki Hajar Dewantara’s educational concept of "guiding" at Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari Elementary School could be seen from (a) the learning objectives, namely guiding the nature of students to become human beings with character by teaching honesty, good manners, and leadership; (b) the learning process, which guides each student to learn optimally according to each student's readiness, learning profile, and diverse interests by using various methods, media, and scaffolding in learning; and (c) habituation activities before learning, such as reading Qur’an, stretching, praying Dhuha in the congregation, and praying together.

Abstract

The New Student Admission Program (PPDB) is currently carried out by the government through a zoning system with the aim of achieving equitable distribution of education quickly and with quality. The zoning system takes into account the distance between the student's house and the school. The existence of a zoning system also has an impact on the emergence of competition in educational institutions. During the Covid-19 pandemic, many parents chose to send their children to the nearest public school and this had an impact on private schools. SMP Al Qolam Muhammadiyah Gemolong was not affected by the policy and even got an increase in registrants. Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of the HU-Model used in corruption detection efforts. The increasing number of corruption cases shows that the tools to detect corruption are not yet available. With the mode of corruption that is increasingly developing and complex, the existence of a corruption detection tool is a must. The focus of this research is on the causes of fraud star corruption which shows that the cause is due to abuse of power or the authority being exercised is not by the mandate. The characteristics of corruption in Indonesia are very complex, involving various elements from the government / private sector, State / Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMN / D) as well as public officials from the center to the regions. This article discusses the corruption detection model as one of the contributions to fight corruption in Indonesia. As one of the efforts to make Indonesia free from corruption outbreaks, the HU model consists of the variable lack of integrity (lack of integrity), opportunity (opportunity), pressure (pressure), rationalization (rationalization), and the ability (capability) to provide hope and answers. The HU-Model proves that despite the amount of pressure, the number of opportunities, the ease of justification, and the high position and authority will not encourage acts of corruption if there is still strong integrity. The results show that the indications of corruption are divided into three clusters, namely those with indications of corruption (red), gray (gray), and no indications of corruption (green).

It is hypothesized in several research that that times of crisis and turbulence can lead to considerable changes in how organizations, especially those in the inherently volatile tourism industry, manage their strategies. This research primarily aimed to investigate the relationship between self-efficacy and employee performance, with an emphasis on the intermediary role of motivation in a hospitality companies located in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. To fulfil this aim, a quantitative approach was adopted, involving a survey distributed to a group of 100 employees. The gathered data was then examined using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Model (PLS_SEM) to determine the effect of each variable. The results of the study indicated that Self-Efficacy had significant influence on Motivation and Performance. Also, the results that the indirect path of self-efficacy, motivation and performance is significant and positive and classified as partial mediation. This research offers practical implications for the tourism industry particularly in terms of how effective the management of tourism companies, as business stakeholders maintain their employee’s performance effectively through real implementation particularly during periods of crisis.
