Abstract

Feedback is crucial in the writing learning process, as it enables students to enhance the quality of their work after receiving input from their teacher. Nonetheless, lecturers do not completely grasp the essence of writing education. This study seeks to explore lecturer' beliefs about teaching writing through feedback, describe how these beliefs are applied in teaching practices, and identify any discrepancies between these beliefs and what occurs in the classroom. This research employs a qualitative methodology through a case study. Data were collected via interviews with teachers and students, along with learning observations, and were then analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative methods through descriptive statistics. The findings of the study suggest that feedback plays a vital role in teaching writing, particularly when complemented by Merdeka curriculum centered on outcome-based learning. The different types of feedback used in learning include written feedback, conferencing, and peer feedback. The roles that lecturers take on include facilitator, provider of feedback, and coordinator. The disparity that arises pertains solely to the lecturer's role in providing feedback, without taking any corrective measures. This research suggests that implementing corrective feedback can enhance students' writing skills.

Abstract

This research is significant because critical thinking and scientific writing abilities are crucial for student success. The study aims to investigate the impact of using BMKII instructional materials on students' critical thinking skills in scientific writing. The research methodology involves quantitative analysis (pretest and posttest) and qualitative methods (semi-structured interviews and reflective journals). Findings indicate a significant improvement in scientific writing skills post-intervention, with the average posttest score (78.72) significantly higher than the pretest score (53.36), supported by Paired Samples T-Test statistical analysis. Interviews and reflective journals provide insights into students' perceptions of the inquiry-based approach to scientific writing, a crucial stage in BMKII. Triangulation of quantitative and qualitative findings strengthens the conclusion regarding the effectiveness of BMKII. The study suggests practical implications for instructors and acknowledges limitations, such as instructor readiness and strategies for effective research-based learning implementation. Additionally, the article outlines the stages of critical thinking involved in scientific writing, emphasizing that each stage demonstrates critical thinking abilities. This research presents strong evidence that the use of BMKII contributes to enhancing students' critical thinking skills in scientific writing and preparing students to meet the demands of the 21st-century

Abstract

The intention to engage in entrepreneurship among students needs to be examined starting from now to understand students' careers after graduating from school. This research aims to analyze and identify the influence of entrepreneurship education, peer influence through self-efficacy on students' entrepreneurial intentions. The research method employs a quantitative approach with data collection through distributing questionnaires via Google Forms, measuring four variables: entrepreneurship education, peer influence, self-efficacy, and entrepreneurial intentions. The population in this research consists of students majoring in Financial Accounting at State Vocational High School 1 Surakarta, and the research sample is obtained using purposive sampling with a total of 100 students from class X1 Financial Accounting as respondents. Hypotheses are tested using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) approach based on Partial Least Square (PLS) using SmartPLS 4.0 software. This research yields results indicating that entrepreneurship education, mediated by self-efficacy, significantly influences students' entrepreneurial intentions. However, peer influence does not have a significant effect on students' entrepreneurial intentions.

Abstract

The 4D model—Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate—is a widely recognized framework for research and development (R&D), particularly in educational innovation. This systematic literature review (SLR) examines the implementation trends, challenges, and opportunities of the 4D model across various fields, analyzing 50 peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2013 and 2023 using PRISMA guidelines. Results indicate that the 4D model is predominantly applied in educational contexts, such as curriculum design and instructional material development, with limited adoption in non-educational sectors. Major challenges include a lack of empirical validation and difficulties in adapting the model to multidisciplinary applications. Opportunities for enhancing the 4D model include integration with contemporary methodologies, such as agile approaches and artificial intelligence. This study provides recommendations for future research and practical insights to broaden the applicability and impact of the 4D model.
