Abstract

Education serves as a fundamental pillar in shaping high-quality human resources capable of facing global challenges. This study aims to analyze the influence of a religion-based school environment on the quality of education at MI Muhammadiyah Cekel. The research employs a quantitative approach with a correlational research design, involving students selected randomly as the sample. The research instrument consisted of a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The findings indicate that a religion-based school environment, encompassing physical facilities, social interactions, and the application of religious and disciplinary values, has a significant impact on students' educational quality. Physical aspects such as comfortable classrooms and adequate library facilities, along with harmonious social relationships between students and teachers, contribute significantly to creating an effective learning atmosphere. The implementation of character values within the school environment also supports the development of more independent and high-achieving students. This study emphasizes the importance of optimizing school environment management through improving facilities, strengthening social interactions, and integrating character values to holistically support educational success at MI Muhammadiyah Cekel.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of gadget usage intensity on the learning motivation of elementary school students. The background of this research stems from concerns over the increasing use of gadgets among children, which may potentially decrease their focus and enthusiasm for learning. This study employs a quantitative approach with a correlational design to examine the relationship between gadget usage intensity as the independent variable and learning motivation as the dependent variable. The research subjects consisted of fifth and sixth-grade students from several private elementary schools under the Dabin Yos Sudarso cluster, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire covering frequency and duration of gadget use, as well as learning motivation indicators based on Uno’s theory. The instrument was tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using Pearson Product Moment correlation with the help of SPSS version 26. The results show a significant influence between gadget usage intensity and learning motivation, with a regression coefficient value of 0.675 and a significance level of 0.000 (< 0.05). The higher the intensity of gadget use—especially for entertainment and social media—the lower the students’ learning motivation. Learning activities through gadgets tend to be minimal and are unable to compensate for the distractions from non-educational content. The findings highlight the importance of supervision and guidance from parents and teachers in directing gadget usage appropriately, so that technology serves as a learning support rather than a hindrance.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the work environment, leadership, and organizational culture on the performance of Musi Rawas Resort Police Members. This type of research is associative; the variables used in this research are work environment, leadership, and organizational culture. The objects of this research are all members of the Musi Rawas Police Department. The population in this study consisted of 188 members, and the sample size was determined using the Slovin formula with a 5% error rate, resulting in a total sample of 128 members. The sampling method used was cluster sampling. The primary data used in this research were collected through a questionnaire. The analysis technique employed is multiple linear regression, utilizing the SPSS application. The research results demonstrate that 1) the work environment, leadership, and organizational culture have a positive and significant influence on the performance of members of the Musi Rawas Resort Police. 2) The work environment has a positive and significant influence on the performance of members of the Musi Rawas Resort Police. 3) Leadership has a positive and significant influence on the performance of members of the Musi Rawas Resort Police. 4) Organizational culture has a positive and significant influence on the performance of members of the Musi Rawas Resort Police. The coefficient of determination obtained indicates that the work environment, leadership, and organizational culture contribute 69.5% to performance; the remaining 30.5% is influenced by other variables not studied

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi pemerolehan kosakata pada siswa kelas awal sekolah dasar di wilayah pedesaan serta mengevaluasi jenis kosakata yang berhasil dikuasai siswa. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap guru dan siswa kelas I di SD Negeri Tanjung 4 Pademawu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penguasaan kosakata siswa didominasi oleh kata benda (53%), disusul oleh kata keterangan (26%) dan kata kerja (13%), sementara jenis kata lain seperti kata sifat, kata hubung, bilangan, dan seru masih minim atau tidak ditemukan. Ketimpangan ini disebabkan oleh tiga faktor utama, yaitu minimnya keterlibatan orang tua, kurangnya stimulasi bahasa sejak usia dini oleh guru TK, serta rendahnya motivasi belajar anak akibat terbatasnya dukungan lingkungan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya pendekatan holistik dalam pengajaran kosakata melalui integrasi aktivitas literasi kontekstual, pembelajaran berbasis permainan digital, serta pelibatan aktif keluarga. Selain itu, pemanfaatan teknologi seperti augmented reality dan media interaktif diyakini mampu memperkaya perbendaharaan kata anak serta mengatasi hambatan motivasional. Studi ini memberikan kontribusi empiris terhadap pengembangan strategi pembelajaran kosakata yang adaptif dan relevan bagi konteks sekolah dasar di daerah tertinggal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan profil kognitif anak dengan disleksia dalam pemahaman teks bacaan serta menelaah berbagai pendekatan intervensi yang digunakan dalam pendidikan untuk anak dengan kesulitan belajar, khususnya disleksia. Studi ini mengkaji berbagai sumber pustaka, baik dari penelitian nasional maupun internasional, yang membahas aspek kognitif, perilaku, serta strategi pembelajaran yang efektif bagi anak dengan gangguan membaca. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa anak dengan disleksia memiliki profil kognitif yang beragam, yang memengaruhi kemampuan mereka dalam memahami teks, melafalkan kata, serta mengintegrasikan informasi bacaan. Berbagai faktor seperti latar belakang sosial-ekonomi, metode pengajaran, serta dukungan teknologi turut memengaruhi hasil belajar mereka. Pendekatan intervensi seperti metode reading aloud, rehabilitasi kognitif berbasis komputer, serta dukungan guru kelas terbukti memberikan dampak positif dalam membantu siswa meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya asesmen profil kognitif secara komprehensif dan perlunya pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran yang adaptif bagi siswa dengan disleksia.

Abstract

Accounting learning has entered a new transformation with the intensive use of artificial intelligence. This study analyzes student behavior in using artificial intelligence in accounting lectures. The Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) framework is used to understand student behavior by adding the construct of experience and competence of information and communication technology. This study contributes to the extended application of UTAUT. This survey took a sample of accounting and accounting education students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Semarang, totaling 124 students. The questionnaire distributed via Google Forms was used as a data collection technique. The data analysis technique used was SEM-PLS. The results of the analysis show moderate student behavior in using artificial intelligence in accounting lectures, there is 2.48 of an average score. ChatGPT and Canva are the types of AI most frequently used by students in accounting courses. SEM-PLS analysis indicates that students' intentions to use artificial intelligence in their accounting lectures are more determined by performance and effort expectancy. The coefficients are 0.519 and 0.382 at a P-value of 0.000. Social influence does not have a significant effect on student intentions, with a P-value of 0.104. Student intentions, ICT experience, and ICT competence significantly influence student behavior to use AI. The coefficients are 0.382, 0.241, and 0.214 at a P-value less than 0.05. Facilitating conditions do not have a substantial effect on actual behavior, with a P-value of 0.210. The practical implication of this study is the importance of highlighting students' ICT experiences and competencies that determine the use of AI for lecture purposes.

Abstract

Community service in the form of cultural learning using digital technology represents a significant innovation in education, especially in the modern era where teaching methods must adapt to technological advancements. This program was implemented at SMA Karangpandan, Karanganyar, to address the issue of student disengagement and boredom with traditional, monotonous learning methods. The community service team, consisting of lecturers from various academic backgrounds such as culture, language, elementary education, and health, provided training and guidance to teachers to enhance their digital teaching skills. The program introduced various digital learning methods, including podcasts, online community-based learning, adaptive learning, e-learning platforms, webinars, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and digital resources such as e-books. The results showed a significant improvement: prior to the program, only 20% of teachers utilized digital methods, but this increased to 75% after the intervention. The pre-test and post-test results demonstrated a marked increase in teachers’ abilities to integrate digital technology into their teaching. This community service initiative successfully contributed to the advancement of digital-based learning, making the educational process more engaging and relevant to the needs of today’s students.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of the interaction of industrial work practice and career guidance on students' work preparation with work motivation as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative survey design, data were collected through a Google Forms questionnaire on 85 students of class XII SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta who were selected by proportional random sampling. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach through SmartPLS 4.0 shows that industrial work practice and career guidance significantly improve students' work readiness. Work motivation acts as a full mediator, strengthening the relationship between the two independent variables and the ability of students to face the demands of the labor market. The results of this study indicate that the success of vocational education is highly dependent on the synergy between hands-on experience in the world of work and structured career guidance support. Work motivation is an important psychological factor in connecting the learning process with actual readiness in the workplace. The findings confirm the importance of integrating industrial internship programs and motivation-based career counseling in the vocational education curriculum to improve graduate competitiveness. This research provides a practical contribution to the development of learning strategies that are responsive to industry dynamics.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Stunting prevention is essential to reducing the incidence of stunting, which has long-term impacts on the quality of future generations. The active participation of residents is a crucial component in determining the success of the intervention. This community service activity aims to increase residents' understanding of stunting, its causes, and prevention efforts through an educational approach and the use of information technology. The activity method began with a survey and coordination with the Tambakaji neighborhood association (RT) to obtain baseline data and obtain permits. Next, outreach activities were conducted, including the delivery of material on the definition of stunting, risk factors, long-term impacts, and family-based prevention measures. Innovations were implemented by introducing credible information sources and an Android application that can help parents monitor their children's growth and development independently. Discussions accompanying this activity revealed a social stigma against stunting and a lack of public understanding regarding the limits of normal child growth. Furthermore, residents also expressed concerns regarding the accuracy of the application used. This activity successfully raised public awareness of the importance of early stunting prevention and encouraged the use of technology as a tool in monitoring child growth and development. ABSTRAK Pencegahan stunting sangat diperlukan untuk menurunkan angka kejadian stunting, yang berdampak jangka panjang terhadap kualitas generasi mendatang. Peran serta dan partisipasi aktif warga menjadi komponen penting yang menentukan keberhasilan intervensi. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman warga mengenai stunting, penyebabnya, serta upaya pencegahannya melalui pendekatan edukatif dan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi. Metode kegiatan diawali dengan survei dan koordinasi dengan RT Tambakaji untuk memperoleh data awal dan perizinan. Selanjutnya, dilakukan sosialisasi yang mencakup penyampaian materi tentang definisi stunting, faktor risiko, dampak jangka panjang, serta langkah-langkah pencegahan berbasis keluarga. Inovasi dilakukan dengan mengenalkan sumber informasi yang kredibel serta aplikasi Android yang dapat membantu orang tua memantau tumbuh kembang anak secara mandiri. Diskusi yang menyertai kegiatan ini mengungkap adanya stigma sosial terhadap stunting serta kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat mengenai batasan pertumbuhan normal anak. Selain itu, warga juga menyampaikan kekhawatiran terkait keakuratan aplikasi yang digunakan. Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran warga akan pentingnya pencegahan stunting sejak dini serta mendorong pemanfaatan teknologi sebagai alat bantu dalam pemantauan tumbuh kembang anak.

Abstract

Ruwatan is a self-cleansing method in Javanese society for those considered sukerta (spiritually unclean person). To prevent a misfortune in life, the sukerta people must be ritually cleaned. The Murwakala performance is led by a dhalang ruwat in this ruwatan ceremonial procession, therefore a dhalang plays an important role. However, several qualifications must be met before being ordained as a dhalang ruwat and trusted to lead the ruwatan sukerta procession. The objective of the study is to explore the concept of old-aged (sepuh) in becoming a dhalang ruwat. The descriptive qualitative model was used to develop this study, the results of which were descriptions of field notes in the form of interviews with dhalang ruwat, observations, and documentation. The results showed that in order to become a dhalang ruwat, one must be descended from a dhalang ruwat, be a role model, and have married their offspring. The notion of sepuh (old-aged) in becoming a dhalang ruwat includes being psychologically mature in terms of age, as well as being spiritually capable in terms of social position.
