Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan sebuah usaha distro yang dijalankan oleh penulis, Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode ekonomi teknik yaitu  menganalisa semua biaya dari modal awal hingga pendapatan dengan menggunakan NPV, AE, PBP, BCR, dan IRR. Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan metode ekonomi teknik menghasilkan nilai NPV sebesar sebesar Rp. 439.955.627 dan AE sebesar Rp.12.924.107 nilai ini jauh lebih besar dari nol, dengan demikian rencana inevstasi membuka toko / distro pakaian & sepatu ini direkomendasikan layak (feasible) secara ekonomis. Hal ini didukung pula hasil perhitungan dengan metode payback period (PBP) dengan nilai k= 3,565 nilai k ini lebih kecil dari periode investasi yang direncanakan 12 bulan dan diperkuat juga dengan nilai IRR lebih besar dari MARR yaitu 23,37% dengan IRR 18%, hal ini semakin memperkuat bahwa rencana investasi membuka toko / distro pakaian & sepatu inidirekomendasikan untuk diterapkan. Tapi pada metodeBenefit Cost Ratio (BCR) nilai BCR= 3,41 lebih besar dari 1 dan ini menunjukan investasi layak untuk di terapkan.kunci :Kelayakan Usaha Distro, NPV, AE, IRR

Abstract

The accessibility of learning media is one of the determining factors of student skills in dealing with the 21st-century demands. This study aimed at developing the online-discussion-forum-based Gen-21cs application.  This Research and Development (R&D) used the Ellis and Levy Model which comprised of six phases, namely, 1) identifying the problem by determining learning indicators and supporting literature, 2) determining the purpose of development, 3) making the design and development of tools 4 ) approve device testing, 5) try device test results and 6) communicate device test results. The data gained were analyzed using descriptive qualitative. The development results showed that the Gen-21cs application can be used in learning process and facilitated students to conduct online discussion. Furthermore, the validation results indicated that the media was feasible to use with ?very good? category.

Abstract

Microalgae are photosynthetic microorganisms that have potential to produce some useful chemical substances such as carbohydrates, proteins, and lipids. Microalgae are also known exhibited ability as a bioremediation agent. This report is emphasized on analyzing the growth rate and nutritional content of microalgae including carbohydrate, protein and lipid from selected isolates LIPI11-2-AL002 that treated with sago waste. Microalgae were cultivated into hydrolysed sago ?ampas? at the concentration of 0,50, 500,5000 ppm, and medium AF-6 (as control culture) respectively.Therefore selected microalgae isolate was cultivated in series of cultivation volume start from 100 mL until 5 Liter media gradually. Observed parameters were covered cell viability (growth) and proximate content of biomass including carbohydrate,lipid and protein content. The results showed that the carbohydrate and protein content in the algal biomass was increase along the addition of series sago ?-ampas? concentration.The highest concentration of addition the sago ampas is 5000 ppm which is limit for the algal survival. In the highest treatment of sago waste the alga l proximate contents were 261.09 ppm of carbohydrate, 5.12 ppm of protein and 3.61% per of lipid dry weight respectively. In addition, the toxicity effect of fermentation product was not appeared in a toxicity test using gold fish komet(Carassius auratus).

Abstract

Learning for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) must specifically cater to their specific characteristics, but learning media specifically tailored for children with ASD is unfortunately still limited. We designed and implemented interactive multimedia adopting the syntax of PECS for reading and counting in children with ASD. Students’ improvement was evaluated after learning and their behavior while learning was documented. Results showed some improvement in students' learning achievement, and all students showed an improvement in terms of behavior when learning.

Abstract

Tree thinking is a platform of thinking for interpreting phylogenetic tree. This study analyzed correlation between pre-service biology teachers’ tree thinking ability and their acceptance of evolution. Subjects were 41 pre-service biology teachers from two universities in West Java. Research instruments were TTCI (Tree Thinking Concept Inventory) and MATE (Measure of Acceptance of the Theory Evolution). Data was analyzed statistically. Result indicated that pre-service biology teachers’ tree thinking ability and their acceptance of evolution were categorized as moderate. Difference between gender as well as correlation between tree thinking ability and acceptance of evolution are discussed.

Abstract

The critical thinking skills are needed by biology teacher candidates to deal with the nowadays ethical issues arisen among society. The aim of this research was to observe the critical thinking skills of biology teacher candidates toward the ethical issues especially in genetic field through online discussion. The subjects of this experimental research were 104 biology teacher candidates who took the Genetics Course in an institution in West Java.  The subject were devided into three groups consisted of two experimental groups and one control group which conducted online discussion by using Gen-21cs application. The experimental groups discussed the topics given by the both instructor and students, while the control group only discussed the topics given by the instructor. The topics discussed were cell cloning, Genetically Engineered Products, stemcell and inbreeding. The online discussions have been done for four weeks. The biology teacher candidate responses were measured using the critica thinking measurement developed by Facione.The critical thinking scores gained were analyzed using descriptive statistic in term of mean. The results showed that the critical thinking skills of the biology teacher candidates tended to increase in each discussion sessions. Online discussion can be used to ensure the other thinking skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan soal tes tertulis berbasis STEM disertai analisisnya menggunakan pemodelan Rasch. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode focus group discussion (FGD). Rendahnya keterampilan siswa dalam berpikir tingkat tinggi diketahui berdasarkan hasil capaian Indonesia dalam ajang TIMSS dan PISA. Siswa di Indonesia tidak terbiasa dengan soal yang memiliki karakteristik HOTS. Selain itu, berdasarkan studi lapangan masih jarang ditemukan soal tes tertulis yang mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Sehingga, memunculkan kebutuhan atas pengembangan soal tes tertulis HOTS. Soal HOTS dikembangkan memperhatikan salah satu bagian dari keterampilan abad 21 yaitu berpikir kritis. Hasil penelitian berupa 10 butir soal tes tertulis berbasis STEM yang dikembangkan berdasarkan indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis pada "Assessing 21st Century Skills for Teachers and Students". Soal tes tertulis disertai analisis menggunakan pemodelan Rasch berbantuan aplikasi winstep Rasch versi 4.4.6 yang hasilnya dapat menjelaskan kualitas dari setiap soal berdasarkan tingkat kesulitan dan kesesuaian butir soal, serta tingkat abilitas dan tingkat kesesuaian siswa.

Abstract

Abstrak   Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai hubungan kekerabatan pada delapan kultivar talas (Colocasia esculenta) berdasarkan karakter morfologi organ vegetatif. Kultivar-kultivar tersebut yakni talas kaliurang, burkok, bentul, bogor, sutra, kudo, lampung dan semir. Total karakter yang diamati berjumlah 35 karakter. Karakter-karakter tersebut kemudian dibuat skoring. Hasil skoring dianalisis dengan metode UPGMA (Unwight Pair Group Method with Arithmetic Average) menggunakan program komputer PAUP versi 4.0b10 sehingga terbentuk fenogram. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variasi morfologi organ vegetatif yang cukup tinggi. Dari seluruh karakter, hanya lima karakter yang tidak menunjukkan adanya perbedaan. Karakter tersebut yaitu bentuk daun dan ujung daun, rasio panjang terhadap lebar daun, pola tepi pelepah dan posisi dominan bentuk helai daun tua. Dari fenogram diketahui bahwa seluruh kultivar yang diamati membentuk dua kelompok utama. Kelompok pertama terdiri dari kaliurang, burkok, bentul, bogor, lampung dan sutra, yang membentuk tiga subkelompok. Kelompok kedua terdiri dari kudo dan semir. Hasil analisis fenetik menunjukkan kultivar bogor dan lampung merupakan dua kultivar yang sangat dekat hubungan kekerabatannya dengan nilai kesamaan sebesar 80%. Kata kunci : Colocasia esculenta, fenetik, kultivar, organ vegetatif Abstract This research was conducted to find out relationship on eight cultivars of taro (Colocasia esculanta) based on vegetative morphological characters. They were kaliurang, burkok, bentul, bogor, sutra, kudo, lampung and semir. Total characters observed were 35 characters and the scoring  was also performed. In order to form a phenogram, the scoring then were analyzed using computer software PAUP version 4.0b10, the UPGMA method (Unwight Pair Group Method with Arithmetic Average). Results showed that morphological variation of vegetative characters are quite high. Of all the characters, only five characters that indicated any significant differences. These characters were leaves shape, leaves tip shape, length-width leaves ratio, midrib leaves, and dominant position of the old leaves. From the phenogram, it was known that all cultivars observed were form into two main groups. The first group consists of kaliurang, burkok, bentul, bogor, lampung and sutra, which formed three subgroups. The second group consists of kudo and semir. The results of the phenetic analysis showed the cultivar bogor and lampung are two cultivars that are very close relationship ties with the similarity value of 80%. Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of effectiveness in the learning process in receiving and processing information to acquire reasoning abilities as students still had cognitive load. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of learning for two stay two stray on Spermatophyta material to decrease the intrinsic cognitive load corresponding student's learning style. The method used is a quasi-experimental design with posttest only. The subjects were high school students of class X IPA at SMAN 7 Bandung. Control class (34 students) using conventional pembalajaran strategies and experimental classes (33 students) teaching methods two stay two stray. The research instrument used in the form of essay that describes the students' reasoning ability and task complexity are arranged in the form of questions in worksheet students to determine the ability to receive and process information. Data were analyzed by using a different test average and correlation test. The results of the calculation of average ability to receive and process information on the audio learning styles experimental class is higher than the control class. In the experiment class decline intrinsic cognitive load correlated with increased learning outcomes for students with learning style audio. These results illustrate that the use of learning strategies two stay two stray has lowered the intrinsic cognitive load of students who have learning style audio.Keywords: cognitive load, learning styles and learning methods two stay two stray

Abstract

This study was conducted to reduce the cognitive load of high school students in a classification plant laboratory. The subjects were students of class X  IPA one of  private high school Favorite in Bandung, divided into experimental class (36 students) and control class (36 students). The  experimental class  used Framing for practical activities providing dikotomous key scheme, while the control class practical activities carried out in accordance  used worksheet conventionally . Cognitive load was measured by looking at differences in the students' ability to receive and process information (information processing), mental effort and learning outcomes in the form of reasoning ability of students in the classification of plants. Data ability to receive and process information captured by task complexity combined worksheet on the worksheet students. Data captured by the mental effort of subjective rating scale questionnaire Likert scale-based, while the data captured using the reasoning ability of students to write test questions based on indicators describing complex thinking. Data were analyzed by using a different test and the average correlation between the three components of cognitive load. The analysis showed both the experimental class and the control class relationship between the ability to accept the reasoning ability showed a positive correlation, while the relationship between mental effort with reasoning abilities showed a negative correlation. These results illustrate the cognitive load balancing character students in practical activities in both classes of plant classification research. However, students in the experimental class has the ability to receive and process information that is higher and significantly different than the control class. Instead the experimental class mental effort value lower than the control class, showed that the cognitive load of students in the experimental class lower than the cognitive load control class. In other words, the use of framing the practical activities of classification of plants in the experimental class has been able to decrease the cognitive load of students.Kata kunci: beban kognitif, praktikum klasifikasi tumbuhan, framing
