Abstract

Abstract Escherichia coli is a species of pathogen bacteria in human body. Lantana camara L. is a plant which used emprically to cure swelling and diarrhoea. The research on the inhibition of extracts of leaf of Lantana camara L was conducted to determine the effect of the inhibition of leaf extract of Lantana camara L on the growth of Escherichia coli and to determine the concentration of leaf extract of Lantana Camara L which has the best inhibitory effects on the growth of Escherichia coli bacteria. And as a contribution to the world of education, research results made ​​in the medium of learning in the form of posters. The method used is disk difussion method, thinning method and calculation of colony. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) followed by smallest reality difference. The results showed that the leaf extract of Lantana camara L has inhibitory effects on the growth of Escherichia coli bacteria. Inhibition zone formed at a concentration of 50% which is 17.635 mm, a concentration of 25% inhibition zone is 21.732 mm, inhibition zone concentration of 12.5% which is 24.294 mm and 6.25% concentration of inhibition zone is 28.401 mm. Best concentration of leaf extract of Lantana camara L which can inhibit the growth of bacteria Escherichia coli is 50%. F value is calculated on the bacteria Escherichia coli is 757, 817, the value of F table at the level of 5% is 3.06 and at the level of 1% is 4.89. Thus, hypothesis of research of Lantana camara L leaf extract had no inhibitory effects on the growth of Escherichia coli was rejected and research hypothesis Lantana camara L leaf extract has inhibitory effects on the growth of Escherichia coli bacteria is received. Key words: Inhibition, ekstract, Lantana camara L., Escherichia coli. Abstrak Escherichia coli merupakan salah satu bakteri yang bersifat patogen pada tubuh manusia. Lantana camara L. merupakan salah satu tumbuhan yang secara empiris digunakan untuk mengobati penyakit kulit dan diare. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui daya hambat ekstrak daun Lantana camara L. terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri Escherichia coli dan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi ekstrak daun Lantana camara L. yang memiliki daya hambat terbaik pada pertumbuhan bakteri Escherichia coli. Hasil penelitian dibuat dalam suatu media pembelajaran dalam bentuk poster sebagai sumbangsih pada dunia pendidikan. Penelitian menggunakan teknik sumur, teknik pengenceran dan teknik perhitungan koloni. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), yang dilanjutkan dengan uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ekstrak daun Lantana camara L. memilki daya hambat pada pertumbuhan bakteri Escherichia coli. Zona hambat yang terbentuk pada konsentrasi 6,25% yaitu 17,635 mm, zona hambat konsentrasi 12,5% yaitu 21,732 mm, zona hambat konsentrasi 25% yaitu 24,294 dan zona hambat konsentrasi 50% yaitu 28,401 mm. Konsentrasi terbaik ekstrak daun lantana camara L. yang dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Escherichia coli yaitu 50%. Hasil analisis statistik diperoleh bahwa nilai F hating pada bakteri Eschercia coli adalah 757, 817, nilai F tabel pada taraf 5% yaitu: 3,06 dengan demikian hipotesis penelitian H1 diterima. Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan persepsi guru IPA SMP/ MTs se Kota Palu mengenai penerapan Kurikulum 2013. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah guru IPA SMP/MTs se Kota Palu yang berjumlah 142 orang. Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 73,9 %. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pembagian angket kepada responden. Hasil yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan rumus jumlah skor rata-rata jawaban respondendan dipresentasekan dengan rumus (%). Hasil presentase diinterpretasikan berdasarkan kriteria. Hasilpenelitian menunjukan bahwa penerapan Kurikulum 2013 direspon baik oleh guru IPA SMP/MTs se Kota Palu, dimana presentase menunjukan 22,85% responden menilai sangat baik, 71,42% baik, 4,76% cukup baik, dan 0,95% kurang baik.Hal ini juga dapat dilihat dari presentase berdasarkan indikator. Presentase pengetahuan guru tentang Kurikulum 2013 sebanyak 4,76% responden menilai sangat baik, 58,09% baik, 26,66% cukup baik dan 10,47 % kurang baik. Standar Kompetensi lulusan diperoleh 4,76% responden menilai sangat baik, 58,09% baik, 30,47% cukup baik, 6,66% kurang baik. Standar isi diperoleh presentase 29,52% responden menilai sangat baik, 65,71% baik, 4,76% cukup baik. Standar proses diperoleh presentase 54,28% responden menilai sangat baik, 43,80% baik, 1,9% cukup baik. Standar penilaian 53,33% responden menjawab sangat baik, 43,80 baik, dan 2,85% cukup baik.Kata Kunci :   Persepsi, Kurikulum 2013 AbstractThe study aims to describe the perception of  science junior high school teachers in Palu city by implementation of Curriculum-2013. The method using is descriptive. The study population was a science-teachers Junior High School in Palu city by some 142 people. Samples were sampled as much as 73.9%  = 105 people. Data was collected through a questionnaire to the respondent. Questionnaire data were analyzed by using formula percent then interpreted by using Likert scale. The results showed that the implementation of Curriculum-2013 was responded well by teachers’s science, which shows the percentage of respondents 22.85% rate as a best, 71.42% as a better, 4.76% as a good, and 0.95% as unfavorable.This case can be seen on the percentage related to indicator. The percentage of respondents' knowledge of the curriculum 2013 as follows: as much as 4.76% rate as a best, 58.09% as a better, 26.66%  as a good, and 10.47% is unfavorable. Competency Standard of graduates earned 4.76% of respondents rated best, 58.09% as a better, 30.47% as a good, and 6.66% is unfavorable. The percentage of content standard as follows 29.52% of respondents rate best, 65.71% as a better, 4.76% is good. Standard of processes which percentage are 54.28% of respondents rated best, 43.80% as a better, 1.9% is good. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMPN 21 Palu, yang bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh pemberian tugas rumah yang “dikombinasi dengan pendekatan jigsaw terhadap hasil belajar IPA Biologi pada siswa SMP Negeri 21 Palu. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi dengan uji t. Hasil analisis data  menunjukkan bahwa thitung sebesar 14,705 dan ttabel dengan (dk=48; α =0,05) adalah 2,021. Jadi thitung > ttabel, maka H0 : ditolak dan H1 : diterima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara pemberian tugas rumah terhadap hasil belajar biologi. Indeks determinasi (R2) sebesar 0,818, artinya bahwa sumbangan pengaruh variable X terhadap variable Y sebesar 81,8%. Sedangkan sisanya 18,2% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Dengan demikian dapat dikemukakan bahwa pemberian tugas rumah dikombinasikan dengan pendekatan Jigsaw memberikan sumbangan yang berarti terhadap hasil belajar IPA biologi.

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kandungan Pb di udara dengan Pb dalam talus lichen X.  xanthofarinosa. Penelitian dilakukan di kota Malang. Hipotesis yang diajukan terdapat hubungan kandungan Pb di udara dengan Pb dalam X. xanthofarinosa. Lichen X. xanthofarinosa diambil dari 20 lokasi yang tersebar di kota Malang. Kandungan Pb dalam X. xanthofarinosa dianalisis dengan metode Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (ASS). Sedangkan kandungan Pb di udara diukur dengan menggunakan alat High Volume Air Sampler (HVAS). Data tentang hubungan kandungan Pb di udara dengan Pb dalam X. xanthofarinosa dianalisis dengan regresi. Hasil penelitian menyebutkan bahwa pada Standardized Coefisients (Beta) memiliki nilai 0,657, hal ini  menunjukkan bentuk hubungan positif dan tingkat korelasi antara Pb di udara dengan Pb dalam X. Xanthofarinosa. Nilai t = 3,702 dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,002. Karena 0,002 < 0,05, maka hipotesis statistik (Ho) ditolak, dengan demikian hipotesis penelitian diterima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif  antara kandungan Pb di udara dengan Pb di dalam talus lichen X. Xanthofarinosa.   Kata kunci : Pb, Udara, dan  X. Xanthofarinosa

Abstract

The research aims to determine the effect of teacher’s skill in the chemistry instructional toward motivation and learning outcomes of the tenth-grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Palolo. The population was the whole students of the tenth grade registered in academic year 2013/2014 numbered 201 persons and separated in five classes with the sample class XA and class XD totaling 98 persons. The sample was taken purposively. The data were collected through questionnaires of teacher’s skills in chemistry instructional, motivation, and learning achievement tests. The result indicated that each average of teacher’s skill, motivation, and achievement test was 69, 74, and 91. The statistic testing result shows teachers’ skill significantly influenced toward motivation and learning achievement with a coefficient correlation score each was 0.462 and 0.425. The variable contribution of teacher’s skill toward motivation was 21.3%  while the skill contribution toward learning achievement was 18.1%.  Based on the coefficient correlation score, it can be concluded that teachers’ skills in chemistry instructional influenced motivation and learning outcomes categorized enough.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the students' abilities through the application of an environmentally-based guided inquiry learning model in grade IV SDN INPRES Kabonena and the student learning outcomes in science learning through the application of environmentally-based guided inquiry learning models in grade IV SDN INPRES Kabonena. This type of research is a classroom action research, using a spiral model design of Steven Mc. Taggart, which consists of 4 stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The location of the research was at SDN INPRES Kabonena, Palu City. The research subjects were 20 students, consisting of 11 male students and 9 female students. The data consists of learning data including data on teacher skills and student activities. Data collection techniques are by observation and tests. Data analysis was performed by qualitative data analysis by concluding based on the mean value or standard deviation of observations (percentage of observations). The results showed that the students' ability in learning through the observation of teacher skills in the first cycle obtained a score of 22 with a good category percentage of 61%, and in the second cycle a score of 29 was obtained with a percentage of 81%, very good criteria. The ability of students in learning based on student activities in teaching and learning activities, in the first cycle a score of 21 was obtained, with a percentage of 58% in the sufficient category, and in the second cycle, it was obtained 27.5 with a percentage of 76.4% in the good category. Meanwhile, the student ability data obtained for pre-action, the number of students who completed as many as 5 students, with classical absorption (DSK) 50% and classical learning completeness (KBK) 25%. The data on student ability in the first cycle obtained 6 students with a DSK of 57% and a CBC of 30%, an increase in the second cycle where the number of students who completed 20 students with 88% DSK and 100% CBC While the data on student learning outcomes in the first cycle obtained 8 students with a DSK of 59% and a CBC of 40%, an increase in cycle II where the number of students who completed was 20 students, with a DSK of 87% and CBC 100%. Based on these results, it can be stated that the application of an environment-based guided inquiry learning model can improve problem-solving abilities and learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of SDN INPRES Kabonena.

Abstract

This study aimed to: determine the influence of STAD learning on student achievement, determine the influence of mind map on student achievement, and describe the influence of both interaction, STAD and mind maps to student achievement. This study is quantitative research with experimental factorial design. The study population are all students of grade X consists of 8 classes, grade XI consisting of 5 classes. Samples are 3 classes of grade X and 3 classes, of grade XI-Science. All samples taken by using purposive sampling technique. Data were obtained by results of student achievement afterwards analyzed with the Statistical Parametric two-way analysis of variance (two-way-ANOVA) assisted SPSS version 20. The results showed that: (1) There was a significant influence learning model STAD type on students achievement. (2) There was a significant influence on the mind map of student achievement. (3) There was a significant effect of interaction and learning models tipe STAD mind map technique on students achievement at SMA Negeri 1 Sigi. Based on the post hoc test to show the difference in the average for each treatment. So among the three treatments, more effective treatment were a combination of STAD learning and mind maps.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dipadukan media animasi terhadap kretivitas dan hasil belajar biologi siswa kelas VII SMPN 19 Palu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu (quasy experiment) dengan desain penelitian Pretest-Posttest, Non-Equivqlent Control Group Design. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMPN 19 Palu dengan menggunakan dua kelas sebagai subjek penelitian yaitu kelas eksperimen yang berjumlah 30 siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan STAD dipadukan media animasi, dan kelas control yang berjumlah 30 siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model konvensional. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan lembar observasi saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung dan memberikan tes hasil belajar setelah seluruh materi diajarkan. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian berhasil meningkatkan kreativitas siswa dengan bukti pada pertemuan pertama jumlah siswa yang berkategori kurang lebih banyak namun pada pertemuan kedua jumlah siswa yang berkategori kurang telah berkurang jumlahnya, sedangkan jumlah berkategori baik bahkan sangat baik pada pertemuan kedua meningkat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai hasil belajar  pada kelompok eksperimen  dikategorikan baik dengan nilai rata-rata 78.7 sedangkan nilai hasil belajar pada kelompok kontrol dikategorikan cukup dengan nilai rata-rata 74.6. Kesimpulan yaitu penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dipadukan media animasi pembelajaran biologi dapat meningkatkan kreativitas dan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

BDNF protein plays a role in the growth and survival of neurons. BDNF protein has some uniqueness, and information on this protein is still limited reported, especially in pigeons. The purpose of this study is to predict the three-dimensional structure of the pigeon of  BDNF protein, to provide information in understanding the characteristics, structure of the protein using a homology approach through in-silico analysis. The BDNF protein is predicted using the SWISS-MODEL server and visualizing the prediction results on the CHIMERA Software. Pigeon BDNF protein was taken from Uniprot with a B4Z8Q access codewith a template of 1b8m.1. The analysis shows that BDNF protein has  an identity of 93,20% consisting of 226 amino acids with a target QMEAN value of -0.17 and hydrophobic amino acids namely Trp, His, Tyr, Ile, Leu, Gly, Lys, Cys, Ala, Phe, Met, and Val. Carboxyl residues, namely Glu, Asp and Val, and amine residues, namely Lys and Ser, with 82 hydrogen bonds.

Abstract

Flora information of bryophyte in Sulawesi were limited found. Research on the bryophyte diversity at the different elevation of Mount Rore Kautimbu Lore Lindu National Park (LLNP) Central Sulawesi which had conducted from December 2013 to February 2014 was an effort to completed data and information of Bryophyte in Sulawesi. Bryophytes were sampled in three forest type s.a Sub-Montane Forest (1448 masl), Montane (2022 masl) and Alpine (2518 masl). In each zone was placed the plot size is 20 x 20 m sub-plots with measuring 1 x 1 m to substrate rocks, soil, decayed wood and plots 10 x 30 cm on the substrate of the tree. Data were analyzed by calculating the value of frequency, density, an important value index and the index of diversity according to the Shannon-Wiener. Research results gained as much as 41 species consists of 21 species mosses and 20 species of liverworts, which was dominated by the family dicranaceae. Based on the type of diversity Indices according to the Shannon-Wiener diversity was found in the highest zone of bryophytes and Alpine zones (H ' = 2.79) followed by Montane zone (H ' = 2,52) and Sub-Montane zone (H ' = 2.20).   Keywords:Bryophyta, Diversity, elevation, LLNP
