Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan studi pengembangan desain model pembelajaran matematika berbasis kearifan lokal guna menguatkan karakter siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Penguatan karakter anak dengan menginternalisasikan nilai kearifan lokal yang unggul dari sisi “intellectual development, Spiritual and emotional development, Physical and kinesthetic development, dan Affective and Creativity development”, sehingga dapat menjadi anak yang berkarakter melalui pembelajaran matematika. Tujuan tersebut dicapai dalam beberapa tahap. Tahap pertama, yaitu mengeksplor nilai karakter sesuai kondisi nyata di lapangan. Pemaparannya dengan pendekatan kualitatif didukung oleh data tertulis maupun data hasil wawancara, dokumentasi, observasi, dan angket; Tahap kedua, yaitu tahap pengembangan, perancangan, dan uji coba dalam lingkup terbatas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian pengembangan dengan komponen uji coba produk. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan angket. Teknik analisis data secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif yang saling melengkapi. Nilai kearifan lokal berasal dari produk budaya dan hasta karya, berfungsi sebagai media dalam proses pembelajaran yang sarat dengan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal tersebut, belum dipergunakan secara maksimal oleh guru SMP. Pengimplementasian desain model pembelajaran matematika ini dapat melatih cara berpikir dan bernalar siswa dalam menarik kesimpulan, mengembangkan aktivitas kreatif siswa yang melibatkan imajinasi, intuisi, dan penemuan dengan mengembangkan pemikiran divergen, rasa ingin tahu, membuat prediksi, serta mengembangkan kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah dan menyampaikan informasi atau gagasan. Keywords: Desain Model Pembelajaran Matematika, Nilai Kearifan Lokal, Karakter Siswa

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the mathematical communication skills of students assessed from self confidence in the material system of two-variable linear equations in SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak.  The method in this research is descriptive research method with survey research. The sample of the research were the students of IX A SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak.  Research subjects were 28 students. From the results of the self confidence questionnaire, obtained data of 6 students having a low level of self confidence and 22 students having a high level of self confidence.  In addition to administering questionnaires, students were also given mathematical communication skills test and interview questions.  From the results of tests and interviews obtained written mathematical communication skills of subjects with low levels of self confidence can fulfill one of the four indicators of mathematical communication skills.  While the verbal mathematical communication skills of subjects with low self confidence levels can fulfill two of the four indicators of mathematical communication skills.  In addition, subjects with high levels of self confidence can fulfill all indicators of mathematical communication skills both in writing and verbal.Keywords: Mathematical Communication, Self Confidence

Abstract

This research aims to know the effectiveness of LKPD from comic in mathematics teaching a algebra’s subject for students of SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak. This research is classified as a pre-experimental in form of one shot case study design. The population of this research were students of eleven grade science program, and the samples is 1 class of students in eleven grade science program. The sample were selected by conducting purposive sampling. The revenue of  data analysis point out that the learning activity was very active with the average student learning activities obtained by 89.35%, the study result was reached. Student gave a great feedback, the implementation of learning management by teachers in learning mathematics was classified as ‘very good’. Based on the research findings that four cathegories of effectiveness was reached, therefore the application of  LKPD from comic was effective in mathematic teaching a algebra materials to the students grade XI science 2 of SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak.Keywords: Effectiveness, LKPD, Comic

Abstract

Hakikatnya, proses pembelajaran yang sesuai dan menarik bagi mahasiswa akan mendorong mereka untuk mengoptimalisasi potensi yang dimilikinya. Namun sebaliknya, jika pendidik/dosen melaksanakan proses kegiatan pembelajaran bersikap kurang kreatif dan kurang inovatif bisa dibayangkan apa yang terjadi? Para mahasiswa berinteriaksi dalam proses pembelajaran bukan diibaratkan seperti botol kosong, melainkan mereka sudah membawa nilai-nilai budaya yang dibawa dari lingkungan keluarga dan masyarakatnya. Pendidik yang bijaksana harus dapat memahami keanekaragaman sikap mereka dalam proses pembelajaran. Pengeksplorasian sikap mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran matematika dapat digunakan sebagai wahana untuk memahami karakter mahasiswa. Sikap itu merupakan kesiapan untuk bereaksi terhadap objek di lingkungan tertentu dan sebagai suatu penghayatan terhadap objek. Terdapat tiga komponen pokok yang secara bersama-sama membentuk sikap yang utuh, yakni: a) kepercayaan terhadap suatu objek, b) kehidupan emosional atau evaluasi terhadap suatu objek, dan c) kecenderungan untuk bertindak. Pemahaman terhadap sikap mahasiswa akan memudahkan untuk berinteraksi dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

This article is the result of a qualitative descriptive analysis to describe and describe students' mathematical reasoning abilities in problem solving in class VIII G SMP Negeri 3 Sungai Raya. The research subjects were 32 students. Data collection tools are in the form of mathematical reasoning tests on statistical material, especially in the sub-material of data presentation and data concentration steps as well as interview guidelines. The results of data analysis showed that based on the category of upper, middle and lower level of reasoning ability, it was classified as moderate because there were 2 students (6.25%) in the upper level reasoning category, then there were 18 students (56.25). %) in the intermediate level reasoning category. , and 12 students (37.5%) were included in the lower-level reasoning category. Students with upper level abilities are able to fulfill indicators of applying numerical mathematics, check the validity of a contradiction, and provide reasons or evidence for the accuracy of the arrangement, students with intermediate abilities are able to meet indicators of applying numerical mathematics and provide reasons or evidence for the accuracy of settings, students with high level abilities bottom height can only meet the indicators of applying numerical mathematics.

Abstract

This study aims to identify students' misconceptions and their causal factors using a three-tier diagnostic test in the matrix material at XI MAN 1 Pontianak. The research method used is descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The form of the research method in this research is a case study. The subjects of this study were 15 students of class XI MIPA 1 MAN 1 Pontianak. The research instrument used was a three-tier diagnostic test and interview guidelines. Based on the results of the study obtained by students who experienced calculation misconceptions as many as 1 student or 2,94% of 34 students, generalizing misconceptions experienced by 7 students or 20.59% of 34 students, misconceptions specialization experienced by 10 students or 29.41% of 34 students and misconceptions experienced by 1 student or 2.94% of 34 students. The causes of misconceptions experienced by students in this study came from wrong intuition and incomplete reasoning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' mathematical communication skills during the covid-19hpandemic in learning mathematics, especially set operations material. .The method used in this research is the descriptive method.. The research subjects in this study were students of SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak class VII G who had studied the set material. Collecting data in this study through tests,aand, interviews. Based on, the results of the study, it was ,found/ that ,the ability of /students to express mathematical ideas in online learning through writing on set operations material was 42.5% relatively low. Students tend not to be able to write set notation, students are also not able to describe Venn diagrams and students still have many errors in working on the given questions. The ability of students to describe mathematical ideas in online learning on set operations material is 55% low. Students tend to be able to describe Venn diagrams but are less clear and incomplete in describing Venn diagrams. The ability to explain students' mathematics in online learning through oral on set operations material is 65% classified as moderate. Students tend to be able to explain the steps of the answers they have done and give reasons for the answers well. The students' mathematical reading ability in online learning through oral on set operations material by 40% is low. Students havehnot been able to convey what is understood orally and haveknot been able to read mathematical notations anddterms.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan kesulitan dan faktor penyebabnya yang dihadapi siswa ketika menyelesaikan soal pemahaman konsep matematis pada materi persamaan kuadrat. Metode penelitian digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitannya yaitu empat siswa SMP Negeri 1 Jagoi Babang Kelas IXA dengan nilai yang sangat rendah. Pemilihan subjek penelitian dari kategori sangat rendah dilakukan berdasarkan nilai tes siswa yang paling rendah serta hasil jawaban siswa yang memiliki banyak kesalahan. Tes tertulis dengan bentuk uraian dan pedoman wawancara semi terstruktur merupakan alat pengumpul data. Dalam temuan analisis data, didapat kesulitan dan penyebabnya yang dialami oleh siswa. Adapun kesulitan yang dialami oleh siswa yaitu kesulitan dalam mengingat konsep, kesulitan dalam memahami tujuan dari pertanyaan hingga soal dianggap susah untuk dikerjakan, kesulitan dalam menggunakan operasi perhitungan dalam menentukan akar persamaan kuadrat, kesulitan dalam menentukan mana yang merupakan dan bukan merupakan persamaan kuadrat satu variabel, kesulitan dalam mengingat rumus kuadratik, dan kesulitan dalam melakukan prosedur atau langkah-langkah perhitungan dalam menentukan akar persamaan kuadrat. Faktor penyebab siswa mengalami kesulitan diantaranya adalah kurangnya pemahaman siswa dalam menguasai konsep persamaan kuadrat, kurangnya pemahaman siswa dalam menguasai konsep operasi perhitungan dalam menentukan akar persamaan kuadrat, kurang memahami prosedur atau langkah-langkah penyelesaian dalam menentukan akar persamaan kuadrat, dan kurang fokus dalam mengerjakan soal sehingga siswa merasa terburu-buru.

Abstract

In this study, researchers used Pre-Experimental Design with the form of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. the sample in this study were 32 students of class XI TITL at SMK Negeri 2 Pontianak. the data collection technique in this study was an indirect communication technique using a questionnaire. The learning motivation of students who do not use multimedia martematics learning based on google sites has an average percentage of 71% (high). The learning motivation of students who use multimedia learning martematics based on google sites has an average percentage of 82% (very high). The effect of using multimedia learning martematics based on google sites on the learning motivation of class XI students at SMK Negeri 2 Pontianak is evidenced by the results of the Wilcoxon test whose probability value or Sig. 2 tailed of 0.000 <0.05 and an effect size value of 1.021 which shows an increase in learning motivation in the large category. Thus it can be concluded that the use of multimedia learning martematics based on google sites has a major effect on student learning motivation.
