Abstract

Anemia, characterized by low hemoglobin (Hb) and erythrocyte counts, can be induced by reactive oxygen species (ROS) or known as hemolytic anemia. Binahong (Anredera cordifolia) has been explored for its potential in managing anemia; yet, its efficacy against ROS-induced anemia remains under investigated. This study, conducted from January to May 2023, aimed to evaluate the potential of Binahong leaf extract (BLE) in treating anemia caused by oxidative stress. Anemia was induced by administering NaNO2 to 24 rats (Rattus norvegicus), followed by the administration of BLE at doses of 50,100, and 200 mg/kgBW for seven days. Hemoglobin levels were measured using Sahli method and erythrocytes count were determined using a Hemocytometer at three stages: pre anemia (HA), before-treatment (H0), and after-treatment (H7). Results showed that BLE significantly increased the Hb level by 1.3g/dL (p=0.000), 3.87g/dL (p=0.034), and 4.53g/dL (p=0.016) at 50 mg/kgBW, 100mg/kgBW, and 200 mg/kgBW, respectively, after treatment. Additionally, a dose of 200 mg/kgBW significally increased the erythrocyte count by 3.84 x 106 L/mm3 (p=0.033). These findings suggested that BLE has the potential to improve Hb levels and erythrocyte counts in ROS-induced anemia, indicating a promising natural approach to managing anemia.

Abstract

Implementation of inclusive education at the kindergarten level faces complex challenges in managing learning that accommodates student diversity. Project-Based Learning (PBL) emerges as a promising pedagogical approach for inclusive environments, yet empirical research on optimal management strategies to support PBL implementation in inclusive early childhood settings remains limited. This study employed a qualitative descriptive design conducted over three months (April-June 2025) at Taman Kanak-Kanak Kongbeng, East Kalimantan. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with key stakeholders, direct classroom observations, and documentation analysis. Data validity was ensured through triangulation and member checking procedures. Findings indicate that inclusive school management can effectively support PBL implementation through systematic collaborative approaches involving administrators, classroom teachers, special education teachers, and parents. PBL implementation in inclusive settings enhanced both social and academic skills of all students, including children with special needs. Effective strategies included flexible project design, differentiated instruction, and authentic assessment focusing on learning processes. Results confirm that well-managed inclusive PBL environments can create positive outcomes for all students. Successful implementation requires ongoing teacher training, clear inter-staff coordination, and adequate resource allocation to support inclusive education infrastructure.

Abstract

Unemployment is a serious problem, especially for young people graduating from vocational schools. Vocational education and training (TVET) is a strategic solution to prepare young people to become job seekers and creators. However, the number of vocational school graduates who become entrepreneurs is still low. This indicates a gap between the school entrepreneurship education and students' motivation to become entrepreneurs. This study aims to analyze the influence of entrepreneurship knowledge, family environment, and entrepreneurial spirit on entrepreneurial interest, with self-efficacy as a mediating variable, among students of the Computer and Network Engineering Vocational High School in Makassar. This study uses a quantitative approach with an ex post facto method on 178 respondents, and the data is analyzed using SEM-PLS. The study results show interesting findings: entrepreneurial knowledge does not significantly affect entrepreneurial interest, while family environment and entrepreneurial spirit have a positive and significant effect. Self-efficacy was proven to strongly mediate between psychological factors (entrepreneurial spirit) and social factors (family environment) to entrepreneurial motivation. Theoretically, this study provides evidence that with these research results, Bandura's self-efficacy theory in vocational education can confirm that self-efficacy is the key to shaping students' entrepreneurial behavior. Practically, the results of this study emphasize the importance of project-based and real-life entrepreneurial learning that builds students' confidence in entrepreneurship, as well as the important role of the family in supporting students to become entrepreneurs. These findings provide important insights for educators and policymakers in strengthening entrepreneurial education in vocational high schools.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

In aquaculture businesses, feed is a factor that plays a very important role and determines the success of the cultivation business. Apart from that, feed availability is also a major factor in producing maximum production so that market needs can be met. The feed factor determines production costs reaching 60% - 70%. The method used in this research is field experimentation and laboratory testing. Tests on local feed obtained the following results: ash content 30.44%; water content 9.79%; fat content 6.06%; protein content 38.63%; crude fiber content 3.42%; carbohydrates 11.66%. Meanwhile, the industrial feed test results are as follows: ash content 8.70%; water content 9.80%; fat content 6.19%; protein content 24.84%; crude fiber content 6.76%; carbohydrates 63.71%. From the test results, it can be seen that local feed has a higher composition in terms of ash content and protein content. Meanwhile, industrial feed has a higher value in crude fiber and carbohydrate content. And the water content and fat content have almost the same values for both local feed and industrial feed. Some of the weaknesses in local feed production are the lack of raw materials, unstable production processes and less than optimal packaging processes.
