Abstract

As a community develops, conflicts are inevitable. This case also applies to the Curug Cikuluwung tourism community. This research aims to analyze the conflicts, and how to manage the conflicts. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. The results of the study indicate that there are two conflicts that have occurred in the tourism development of Curug Cikuluwung village, namely, the first is a conflict between BUMDes and residents from a neighboring village (Pamijahan Village), the second is a conflict between the core manager of Curug Cikuluwung village tourism and the Cibitung Wetan village government. The first conflict has already had a solution, but the second conflict has no solution yet. The community has practiced community-based conflict management but it has not yet become a solution. Therefore, there is a need for mediation from parties who have authority over village tourism to mediate the conflict parties from the Pamijahan District Government, the Bogor Tourism Office, Bogor Village Community Empowerment office, and or Indonesia Power Company.

Abstract

Budaya tari di Indonesia sangat kaya dan beragam, mencerminkan keragaman etnis dan budaya di seluruh nusantara. Setiap daerah memiliki tarian khas yang mencerminkan identitas budaya dan nilai-nilai tradisionalnya. Ternate termasuk dalam kota tua di Indonesia, yang mana eksistensinya telah ada sebelum abad pertengahan yang berfungsi sebagai pusat pemerintahan, perdagangan maupun budaya. Kota Ternate telah mengalami proses perkembangan dalam beberapa kurun waktu. Tarian Soya-Soya juga dikenal dengan istilah tarian perang, hal ini didasarkan pada latar belakang tarian ini yang digunakan oleh pasukan kesultanan dalam berperang melawan penjajah. Tarian Soya-Soya diciptakan oleh para seniman kesultanan. Artikel ini ditulis dengan menggunakan Metode Deskriptif Kualitatif. Penelitian deskriptif merupakan bentuk khusus dalam kategori penelitian kualitatif. Seorang individu atau kolektif diminta untuk menceritakan kisah pribadi pengalaman hidup mereka sebagai komponen penelitian deskriptif. Peneliti kemudian mengkaji kejadian dan fenomena yang terjadi dalam kehidupan individu. Selanjutnya, peneliti menceritakan narasi tersebut dengan cermat dan berurutan. Untuk penulisan artikel ini, dilakukan review menyeluruh terhadap hasil penelitian yang dipublikasikan di jurnal nasional bereputasi. Studi perpustakaan mencakup banyak hal, seperti mendapatkan informasi perpustakaan, membaca dan mencatat, serta menyusun bahan penelitian.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis bahasa kiasan dalam novel Dearest Millie. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis jenis-jenis bahasa kiasan dan mendeskripsikan maknanya. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Knickerbocker dan Reninger untuk menganalisis data yang ditemukan oleh penulis dalam novela tersebut. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Ada banyak kalimat yang menggunakan bahasa kiasan dalam novela tersebut. Penulis menemukan 67 data bahasa kiasan untuk dijelaskan. Data tersebut akan dianalisis dan diidentifikasi melalui tiga jenis bahasa kiasan, yaitu simile, personifikasi, dan hiperbola. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan 29 atau 43,3% data simile, 21 atau 31,3% personifikasi, dan 17 atau 25,4% hiperbola. Jenis bahasa kiasan yang paling dominan digunakan dalam novel Dearest Millie adalah simile.

Abstract

Land is an important component in the business world, so in its development it "forces" Indonesia to become an investment-friendly country. To achieve this, Indonesia created the Job Creation Law and formed the Land Bank to collect, manage and distribute land in Indonesia. However, there are pros and cons related to the substance contained in the Job Creation Law, such as seeming to revive the domain verklaring, the alleged bias of the Government regarding the granting of permits to business entities and/or investors, overlapping authority and misinterpretation of the public regarding the main duties and functions of the Land Bank which is considered a new forum for corruption,  collusion and nepotism (CCN) because, in the same sector, there is already the Ministry of ATR/BPN which also regulates the land sector in Indonesia, so that clear restrictions are needed between institutions, therefore this systematic review is a bridge for the Government, investors and the public to realize legal certainty.

Abstract

The novel "Gadis Kretek" by Ratih Kumala explored the rich tapestry of Indonesian culture, blended traditional values with the nuances of modernity. This study aimed to examine the interplay between tradition and modernity in "Gadis Kretek." It sought to understand how Ratih Kumala portrayed the tension between these two forces and how this portrayal reflected the broader socio-cultural context of Indonesia. The research employed a qualitative approach, utilizing literary analysis to dissect the novel's themes, characters, and narrative structure. Key elements such as cultural representation, character development, and the historical backdrop of the kretek industry are analyzed to uncover the underlying messages about tradition and modernity. The analysis revealed that "Gadis Kretek" juxtaposes traditional Javanese cultural elements with the encroachment of modern values and economic practices. Characters in the novel navigated these conflicting forces, showcasing the resilience of tradition amidst inevitable change. The kretek industry served as a symbol of this duality, representing both heritage and progress. Ratih Kumala's "Gadis Kretek" effectively captured the dynamic interplay between tradition and modernity in Indonesian society. The novel highlights the challenges and adaptations faced by individuals and communities in preserving cultural identity while embracing modern advancements. This study underscored the importance of literary works in reflecting and shaping societal values and transitions.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the relationship between self-regulated learning, creative performance, and early mathematical proficiency in the academic success of college students. The methods of this study are to compare the assessments and surveys conducted before and throughout the educational process. Learning activities are executed through both in-person and online formats. In-person instruction is performed according to the university's established lecture timetable. E-learning is conducted via organized tasks and autonomous assignments. Data were collected from college students in the University of  Islam Bandung calculus course. The findings indicated that self-regulated learning and early mathematics aptitude significantly influenced student academic achievement, whereas the impact of creative performance was comparatively less pronounced. Self-regulated learning influences academic success by 38.76%, while early mathematical competence affects academic performance by 30.96%. Consequently, self-regulated learning significantly influences academic performance more than initial mathematical competence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of deixis in the lyrics of the song “Lovely” by Billie Eilish and Khalid using a pragmatic approach. Deixis, as a linguistic element whose meaning depends on context, includes five main types: person, place, time, discourse, and social deixis. The analysis shows that the song uses deixis effectively to convey a deep emotional narrative. Person deixis, through the use of I and you, stands out in creating a personal relationship between the speaker and the listener. Place and time deixis describe the space and duration of the emotional struggle, while discourse deixis provides narrative continuity. Meanwhile, social deixis, although implicit, reflects the universal relationship between the singer and the audience. The results of this study are relevant to previous pragmatic studies, supporting the idea that songs as aesthetic texts can be a powerful medium of communication. In particular, this study highlights that the use of deixis in lyrics not only functions to build context, but also to create a complex and relatable emotional experience for the listener. These findings provide important contributions to linguistic studies, education, and the analysis of musical artworks, while also opening up opportunities for pragmatic studies of other musical texts.

Abstract

In response to the burgeoning need for advanced object recognition and classification, this research embarks on a journey harnessing the formidable capabilities of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs). The central aim of this study revolves around the precise identification and categorization of objects, with a specific focus on the critical task of distinguishing between fresh and spoiled chicken meat. This study's overarching objective is to craft a robust CNN-based classification model that excels in discriminating between objects. In the context of our research, we set out to create a model adept at distinguishing between fresh and rotten chicken meat. This endeavor holds immense potential in augmenting food safety and elevating quality control standards within the poultry industry. Our research methodology entails meticulous data collection, which includes acquiring high-resolution images of chicken meat. This meticulously curated dataset serves as the bedrock for both training and testing our CNN model. To optimize the model, we employ the 'adam' optimizer, while critical performance metrics, such as accuracy, precision, recall, and the F1-score, are methodically computed to evaluate the model's effectiveness. Our experimental findings unveil the remarkable success of our CNN model, with consistent accuracy, precision, and recall metrics all reaching an impressive pinnacle of 94%. These metrics underscore the model's excellence in the realm of object classification, with a particular emphasis on its proficiency in distinguishing between fresh and rotten chicken meat. In summation, our research concludes that the CNN model has exhibited exceptional prowess in the domains of object recognition and classification. The model's high accuracy signifies its precision in furnishing accurate predictions, while its elevated precision and recall values accentuate its effectiveness in differentiating between object classes. Consequently, the CNN model stands as a robust foundation for future strides in object classification technology. As we peer into the horizon of future research, myriad opportunities beckon. Our CNN model's applicability extends beyond chicken meat classification, inviting exploration across diverse domains. Furthermore, the model's refinement and adaptation for specific challenges represent an exciting avenue for future work, promising heightened performance across a broader spectrum of object recognition tasks.

Abstract

This article analyzes young Muslim preachers’ self-presentation in the digital sphere, especially on the Instagram platform. This attempts to answer how and why self-branding has become so prevalent among young Indonesian Muslim preachers on Instagram. Using self-presentation theory, this qualitative study argues that young Muslim preachers’ self-presentation is as strategy to become micro-selebrity in digital sphere. The existence of various features on Instagram makes it easier for preachers to self-expression, self-record, and recognition. Young preachers as Instagram users become micro-celebrity because they always want recognition and to be the center of social interaction. They are actively involved with followers, being the center of attention, active in selfies, inserting jokes, and posting daily activities as strategies to be closer to digital natives. Surprisingly, their posts are not dominated by activities related to religious rituals. On the contrary, the more natural the self-presentation is presented by the young preachers, or the more similar the interests and characters of the audience are, the easier the self-branding will be. This article also theoretically implies that young Muslim preachers are themselves a brand and self-presentation is a form of brand management to become religious micro-celebrities.
