Abstract

The aim of this research to find Morphological Interference in the Form of Malay Language Affixation Panai Dialect. The data is taken in writing language or Narrative text in 5th grade students of Primary School no. 112202 in Middle Panai Disctrict. The methodology research uses qualitative research and descriptive research. The result is confixes more dominant to be found in Narrative text based on Malay language in Panai dialect.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to know the understanding ability of exercises of higher order thinking skill-based anecdote text in 10th grade students of senior high school 1 Tanjung Tiram. This study was conducted in the odd semester of the 2018/2019 academic year which was planned starting from the collection of knowledge data to the writing as a whole. The subjects of this study were 10th grade students of Senior High School 1 Tanjung Tiram as many as 30 students. The object carried out in this study is a guide to higher order thinking skill (HOTS)-based knowledge instruments. The result shows that the understanding ability of exercises of higher order thinking skill-based anecdote text the students get an average score of 60.56% in the "sufficient" category. Thus, it can be stated that a high level of knowledge instrument on students of senior high school 1 Tanjung Tiram with sufficient quality.

Abstract

This study is aimed to describe the development of instrument of reading literacy assessment on Indonesian language learning in Quality Medan University. The assessment instrument which is developed in the form of a guidebook of reading literacy on the PISA reference which is used as a handbook for lecturers in the field of learning studies reading texts. The population of this study is the first semester students of the Medan Quality Private University. The authors took a sample of 30 students. The result shows that the development of reading literacy assessment instrument on the PISA reference, is a direct assessment because students immediately show evidence of mastery of competencies when the assessment is conducted. The use of reading literacy assessment increases the results of high-level understanding of students, this is indicated by the results of student scores after using the reading literacy assessment on the PISA reference was 2283 compared to the results before 1364.

Abstract

This study aims to know the feasibility of archipelago children literature teaching materials on text-based of class V SDN 067091 Medan Kota sub-district, Indonesia. The type of this study is research and development which is the development of archipelago children literature teaching materials on text-based that deserve to support literature learning in elementary school. The product of archipelago children literature teaching materials is developed to support literary learning in elementary schools have met the requirements and are feasible to use based on the validation of material experts and design. The response to archipelago children literature teaching materials on text-based in literary material is very good and in accordance with the needs of students. It concludes that the use of archipelago children literature teaching materials on text-based is more effective in improving student learning outcomes. This was revealed from the student learning outcomes after being taught with developed teaching materials, namely an increase in learning outcomes from the average 78.98 with a good category to 86.11 with a very good category.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) Know the differences in reading skills of students taught with Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition learning models compared to students taught with conventional learning models; (2) Knowing the difference in reading skills of students who have high learning motivation compared to students who have low learning motivation; (3) Knowing the interaction between learning models and learning motivation in influencing students' reading skills. The population in this study was the fifth grade students of Public Elementary School 101883 Tanjung Morawa Subdistrict, Deliserdang Regency, amounting to 54 people. The data collection in this study was through a questionnaire and a test of students' reading skills. Hypothesis testing is done by the Two Way Anova test. The results showed that: (1) The reading skills of students taught with Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition learning models were higher than those of students who were taught with conventional learning models (Fcount = 21,164 and sig. 0,000> 0.05); (2) The reading skills of students who have high learning motivation are higher than the reading skills of students who have low learning motivation (Fcount = 6.756 and sig. 0.012> 0.05); (3) There is an interaction between learning models and learning motivation in influencing students' reading skills (Fcount = 7.054 and sig. 0.011> 0.05).
