Abstract

One of the problems in education is educators have not been able to prepare innovative teaching materials in accordance with the progress and development of science and technology. Educators are required to provide innovations to increase students' interest in learning, especially in industrial revolution 4.0. This activity aims to provide understanding and skills to students and teachers in using electronic-based teaching materials and training of e-magazine making in chemistry learning. The activity was carried out in SMAN Pintar which is located in Taluk Kuantan. SMAN Pintar is a boarding school that has adequate infrastructure and facilities, it requires optimization of science and technology, because of that this school can participate in the 4.0 industrial revolution. The method of implementing this program is the provision of material in socialization about 21st-century learning and the use of e-magazine as companion teaching materials, followed by training teachers in making e-magazine using Kvisoft Flipbook Maker application. The results of this program are e-magazine products, usage manuals, and program review books. The evaluation of the program is follow-up by giving a post-test questionnaire and a final review of the program book. This activity received a positive response from students and teachers of SMAN Pintar, Riau Province.

Abstract

Community Service activities decoupage handicraft training from used materials is carried out on the basis of community conditions, especially women who are members of the Tim Penggerak PKK of Central Tangkerang Village marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru is classified as less productive, while they have quite a lot of free time. In addition, in the environment where these mothers live, there is also a lot of household waste such as cans and glass bottles that are thrown away and not used anymore. Community Service activities carried out using demonstration and training methods are an effort by The Community Service Team to be able to empower and improve the knowledge and abilities of PKK members. The use of used goods as a basic material that will be created with decoupage techniques makes the resulting product has good aesthetic value and selling value. The score obtained by participants before the implementation of the study was 51.60%, while after the training was carried out was 98.3% so it can be concluded that the training provided a significant improvement in the ability of participants in making decoupage handicrafts.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education can take advantage of technology that is currently increasingly advanced. The expected result, the education world is no longer awkward in using technology to improve its quality. One of the lessons that requires learning media technology is chemistry. This study aims to develop interactive learning media using Autoplay Studio 8 for Hydrocarbon material and conducting some tests to determine the response of educators and students as well. The media created were tested, including testing the feasibility based on expert validation and the responses of educators and students to the developed media. The research method used in the development of instructional media that used a research and development (R&D) approach. Overall the interactive learning media Autoplay Studio 8 developed was declared valid by a validator consisting of three material experts and three media experts with an average percentage value of media experts being 94.15%, and an average percentage of material experts 93 7%. The response of chemistry teachers and students with an average percentage score was 94.6% and 92.33% categorized as very practical. It can be concluded that media is ready to use in the real learning process.

Referring to the current era of globalization, which refers the era of revolution 4.0, the use of today's technology in the learning process can be utilized. One of them is in applying ordinary modules into e-modules. The purpose of this study is the use of e-module stoichiometry based on Kvisoft flipbook maker to see the magnitude of the increase in students' understanding of the concept of stoichiometry. The research design used was a pre-experiment with a pretest-posttest design using one class as an experimental class. The sample in this study were students of the Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 2 Pekanbaru class X KI 2. The results obtained were an increase in students' understanding of the concept from before using the e-module based on the koftoft flipbook maker with an average value of 40.2. After using Kvisoft flipbook maker based e-module the average value increased to 92.48. Large increase obtained by 0.83 with the category of moderate increase.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the difficulty of students in understanding the concepts in chemical material. The goal of this research is to see the differences in learning outcomes between students who are given two different learning models and see it from Goal Oriention (GO) factors owned by students. This research was conducted at SMA Muhammadiyah 01 Pekanbaru City. The variables in this study were the Learning Model and GO characters (independent variables) and chemistry learning outcomes (the dependent variable). The results of data analysis on One Way Anava was a sig. 0.02 for the application of two learning models and the Independent Sample T-Test obtained sig. 0.02 and sig. 0.32. Based on data analysis, it was concluded that student learning outcomes with those taught with the DL model were better than students taught with the PBL model. Learning outcomes MGO students who are taught with the DL model are better than those taught with the PBL model and there is no difference in the learning outcomes of the PGO students who are taught with the PBL learning model with students who are taught using the DL model.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in the improvement of students' thinking skills using collaborative learning techniques Think-Pair-Share and Group Investigation. The research used was a quasi-experimental research design with non equivalent control posttest design. The data collection technique used critical thinking skills questions consisting of 5 essay test questions. Based on the research results of hypothesis testing using paired simple t-test , the results obtained were sig (2-tailed) <0.05, which means that collaborative learning of GI and TPS techniques is effective on critical thinking skills than the control class. Hypothesis testing is to see significant differences between collaborative learning. TPS and GI techniques used independent sample t-test and the results obtained were sig (2-tailed) <0.05, which means that there is a significant difference between collaborative learning of GI and TPS techniques on critical thinking skills. For the average percentage of critical thinking skills in the collaborative learning class, the Think-Pair-Share technique is 80.57% and Group Investigation is 76.73%, and in the control class it is 68.45%, which means the application of collaborative learning techniques Think-Pair- Share is more effectively used in improving students' critical thinking skills on chemical equilibrium material.
