Abstract

Intergroup conflicts in sport, especially when charged with violence, is a complex pheno- mena and could be manifested differently in shape and realization from time to time. This study was keen to find empirical data concerning harsh conflicts between two traditional martial art organiza- tions namely the Pencak Silat Setia Hati Terate (SHT) and Pencak Silat Setia Hati Tunas Muda Wi- nongo (SHW). These data were then used as a foundation to build a theoretical construct concerning violent behavior in sport. This study was conducted using a qualitative approach by case study to collect data. It is concluded that conflict happened due to a distorted social identity building process.

Abstract

This study aims to reconstruct Islamic theology through the lens of Nusantara spirituality by synthesizing local wisdom, social philosophy, and theological ethics. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach following PRISMA 2020 guidelines, twenty-three peer-reviewed articles published between 2020 and 2025 were analyzed to identify conceptual patterns, theoretical frameworks, and methodological trends. The research focuses on three core questions: (1) how local wisdom, religious tolerance, and spirituality are conceptualized within social and theological contexts; (2) what theoretical and methodological approaches integrate Islamic theology, indigenous knowledge, and social philosophy; and (3) what gaps and directions emerge concerning spiritual–ecological ethics and dialogical spirituality. The results indicate that local wisdom functions as a moral epistemology connecting culture, faith, and social ethics. The reviewed studies demonstrate that spirituality is not confined to ritual practice but serves as a foundation for religious tolerance, ecological ethics, and community resilience. Methodologically, the combination of two-way seeing, cultural interface, and theological reflection fosters an integrative paradigm that bridges revelation (wahy) and reason (‘aql). The study introduces the concept of Filsafat Sosial Teologis Nusantara (Nusantara Theological Social Philosophy), which positions spirituality as a dialogical and ecological ethics for plural societies. In conclusion, this research contributes to the decolonization of Islamic theology by emphasizing contextual, participatory, and intercultural approaches. It provides a theoretical basis for peace education, interfaith dialogue, and sustainable social harmony rooted in the spiritual values of Nusantara.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to examine Bloom's Taxonomy which classifies the domain of educational objectives into three domains; cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. Compared with the interpretation of the scholars of tafsir on Surah Al-Baqarah verse 192 and 151. The background of this study is the urgency of contemporary Islamic education, still referring to the educational values contained in the main source of Islamic education, namely the Qur'an. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive approach with a library research method as the main technique in data collection and analysis. The results of the study show that between the theory of Bloom's Taxonomy and the Taxonomy of Islamic Education from the Perspective of the Qur'an there are similarities and conformities. The cognitive domain related to the ability and skills of thinking intelligence, in line with the meaning of tilâwatu âyâtillâh (reading the verses or signs of God's power). While the affective domain related to emotions, attitudes, values, and feelings in accordance with the meaning of the verse at-tazkiyah (purification). And the psychomotor domain, related to job skills, involves body movement, in accordance with one of the meanings of the phrase "ta'lîmul al-kitab wa al-hikmah" (teaching the Quran and wisdom). The conclusion of this study confirms that the Quran aligns with modern science and does not conflict with natural human needs.

Abstract

Several studies have discussed the bilateral economic impact of the Abraham Accords, but few of them have thoroughly examined how this agreement has evolved into a collective security framework amid global geopolitical changes. This study attempts to fill the existing research gap by analyzing the transformation of the Abraham Accords into the Abraham Alliance using the Balance of Power theory framework developed by Stephan M. Walt. Using a qualitative approach and case study mode, this study examines secondary data from 2020 to 2025, using academic journals, government policy documents, and reliable news media as sources. This study concludes that the alliance is more influenced by the need to balance the perceived threat from Iran, rather than solely based on economic interests. Since the conflict between Palestine and Israel erupted on October 7, 2023, the countries that signed the agreement have continued to prioritize strategic security and maintain relations with Israel. The possibility of Saudi Arabia and Syria joining the alliance indicates a new direction toward more pragmatic and security-focused regional security. With this research, it is hoped that theoretically, by developing this framework, the Abraham Alliance can be understood as a new category in analyzing the region.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of parenting on the achievement motivation of athletes. The research method in this study is ex post facto. The sample in this study was as many as 73 athletes who are members of the East Java Regional Training Center. The instrument used was developed based on theoretical references regarding parenting patterns which consist of three types of parenting, namely authoritarian, authoritative and permissive with the results of factor analysis for each dimension of parenting parenting resulting in KMO-MSA values> 0.05 with a significance value of Bartlett's Test of Sphericity < 0.05. Each item in each dimension has a loading factor value > 0.5 so that each item is valid in measuring each dimension. While the achievement motivation instrument was also developed based on theoretical references with the results of factor analysis resulting in a KMO-MSA value> 0.05 with a significance value of Bartlett's Test of Sphericity <0.05. Test analysis using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Based on these calculations and criteria, the results (Sig.) 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that there is an influence of parenting style on athletes' achievement motivation. Judging from the mean value of authoritarian parenting is 10.37, authoritative parenting is 19.89, permissive parenting is 9.89. This means that authoritative parenting has the highest influence on athletes' achievement motivation. Then followed by authoritarian parenting in the second place and permissive parenting in the third or the last

Abstract

This study discusses the dynamics of localizing global norms for child protec- tion in the context of preventing child marriage in Bone Regency through Amitav Acharya’s localization theory and the Pentahelix collaborative model. Although Indonesia has ratified the Convention on the Rights of the Child and imple- mented various national policies, the practice of child marriage remains preva- lent due to the strength of local social and cultural norms, such as the value of siri’ na pacce and literal interpretations of religious teachings. This study employs a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews of key actors, includ- ing local government officials, religious leaders, academics, children’s forums, and the media. The findings show that the SIP PEKA program has success- fully reduced the number of child marriage dispensations by integrating con- textual educational, regulatory, and participatory approaches. However, chal- lenges remain in the form of limited binding local regulations, limited media support, and sectoral egoism among agencies. Therefore, stronger cross- sectoral collaboration and broader community participation are key to strengthening the program’s sustainability. This research contributes to inter- national relations studies by highlighting how global norms can be absorbed and reinterpreted in local contexts through responsive and participatory ap- proaches.

Abstract

In today's increasingly competitive era, Islamic education faces significant challenges in maintaining its relevance and enhancing its competitiveness. Many Islamic educational institutions struggle to attract public interest, both in terms of academic quality and institutional management. One potential solution lies in visionary leadership combined with a strong corporate culture. Visionary leadership not only sets the institution’s direction and goals but also fosters innovation and strategies that adapt to changing times. Meanwhile, a robust corporate culture establishes a solid institutional identity, strengthens loyalty, and creates a conducive environment for educational growth and development. This study employs the library research method by analyzing various relevant literatures to understand the relationship between these concepts in the context of transformative Islamic education. The findings indicate that the synergy between visionary leadership and corporate culture enhances institutional competitiveness, broadens its appeal to the public, and ensures sustainability amid globalization. The study’s implications emphasize the need for managerial reform in Islamic educational institutions to remain relevant, innovative, and highly competitive in the digital era

Abstract

This article investigates the transformation of international trade law into a strategic instrument of geopolitical contestation, focusing on the legal rivalry between China and Western countries. Employing Lawfare Theory and Legal Realism, the study adopts an interdisciplinary method combining legal doctrine, international relations theories, and empirical case studies from WTO and ISDS mechanisms. The findings reveal that legal platforms originally designed for neutral dispute resolution have been repurposed as tools of statecraft. China’s increased legal engagement post-2018 signals a shift toward strategic legalism, where litigation serves as foreign policy. Meanwhile, the United States exercises unilateral legal strategies, undermining multilateral institutions. These actions reflect a broader erosion of legal neutrality, leading to procedural asymmetries that disadvantage Global South countries. The article concludes that without institutional reform and renewed global commitment to procedural justice, international legal mechanisms risk becoming arenas of symbolic dominance rather than fair adjudication. This trend challenges the foundational purpose of international law as a stabilizing force and invites critical reevaluation of legal norms amid a multipolar world order.

Abstract

This study addresses the epistemological gap between exoteric knowledge (‘ilm al-lisān) and esoteric knowledge (‘ilm al-qalb) in pesantren education, which often results in a dichotomy between linguistic competence and ethical conduct. The study offers a new pedagogical model by integrating Sufistic elements into Nahw (Arabic grammar) education, thus contributing to the moral and spiritual formation of students. Using a qualitative approach with an Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) design at Pesantren Babussalam Pagelaran, data were collected through in-depth interviews and participant observation with teachers and senior students. The findings reveal that Sufistic Nahw pedagogy transforms Nahw from a mere linguistic tool into a medium for tazkiyat al-nafs. By reviving symbolic interpretations of grammatical structures within the Sufi tradition and applying the takhallī–taḥallī–tajallī framework, this integration effectively fosters moral awareness, modesty (al-ḥayā’), and self-control among students. This research provides a significant pedagogical innovation by positioning linguistic education as a core component of spiritual development in Islamic educational institutions.
