Abstract

This study aimed to develop an android-based game learning media by applying the steps of the scientific method. Methods: UsingThe development research was adapted the RnD method with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The data collection technique was a validation questionnaire of media experts, linguists, materials, teacher, and student responses. Findings: The validation results of media, language, and material experts were 92.00, 92.00, and 96.00%, respectively, with very feasible criteria. Student response questionnaires in the small and large group trials were 96.00, 94.00, and 89.70%, respectively, with very achievable benchmarks. The teacher's response questionnaire also got more than 80.00%, which was very decent. Conclusion: The result application of the 'Curious Scientist' game learning media is interesting for students. Indirectly, students have learned to use the scientific method approach and apply scientific thinking skills utilizing the learning media game' Curious Scientist.’

Abstract

Film tipis zinc oxide doping aluminium (ZnO:Al) telah dideposisikan di atas substrat corning glass dengan metode DC magnetron sputtering. Penumbuhan dilakukan dengan memvariasi temperatur deposisi (27°C, 200oC, 300oC, dan 400°C). Analisis X-ray diffraction (XRD) menunjukkan struktur kristal wurtzite dengan orientasi sumbu-c. Ukuran butir kristal meningkat dari 35 nm sampai 52 nm. Analisis scanning electron microscopy (SEM)  menunjukkan bahwa ukuran butir bertambah besar dengan bertambahnya temperatur deposisi. Peningkatan temperatur deposisi juga menyebabkan peningkatan nilai transmitansi dari 70% sampai 83%  dengan tepi absorpsi pada panjang gelombang sekitar 380 nm.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the popular types of academic dishonesty, teachers' supervision, and the factors which motivate students to cheat. This research used the descriptive quantitative method with 260 students as respondents from 4 schools. Questionnaires were given online to the students. The data analysis technique used statistic descriptive. The result showed that the popular types of academic dishonesty among the students were asking their friends, carrying small notes, searching the answer on the web via cell phones, carrying textbooks, and etcetera. The teachers’ or supervisors’ supervision was good, but there were times when they were careless so that the students used the opportunity to cheat. During online examination supervision, the students stated that there was no particular supervision; therefore they took the advantage of this opportunity. The driving factors which caused the students to cheat were they considered the questions were too difficult; they did not have confidence in their own answers or abilities; they did not study; they had an opportunity to cheat; they wanted good grades, and they had some unanswered questions but the time was almost over.

Abstract

Indonesian language lessons are often underestimated as difficult, but in reality, many students do not understand Indonesian language learning, one of which is writing poetry. Writing poetry cannot be done through conventional methods because writing poetry requires a very high imagination. One of the innovations that can be done in poetry writing is the synectic model and the problem-based learning model. The purpose of this research is an exploratory study of synectic models and problem-based learning on poetry writing skills for class IV. The method used in this research is an exploratory qualitative conducted in elementary schools in the Kanjengan Cluster, Central Semarang. The results of the analysis show that teachers need innovation in learning to increase students' imagination which will later be poured into the form of poetry. One of the innovations that can be applied is to use synectic models and problem-based learning in the process of learning to write poetry.

Abstract

This research developed a paper indicator made from extracted Ashoka flower, Ixora coccinea Linn, with solvent and the soaking period variances. Ashoka flower is a plant containing anthocyanin pigment. The plant is sensitive to acidic levels of pH. The content of the Ashoka flower brings significant potential as a natural indicator. The researchers extracted the anthocyanin pigment of the lower with the maceration method with 96% and 70% ethanol solvents for 24 hours. The researchers calibrated the extracted ethanol with buffer solution under pH 1-12. Then, the researchers cut 42 Whatman papers sized ±5x1 cm. The researchers put the papers into the mixtures of the extracted ethanol within 48 - 72 hours of the soaking period. After that, the researchers dried out the papers and examined the solution in terms of acid-base level. The papers made of extracted ethanol from Ashoka flower on solutions of HCl, CH3COOH, NH4OH, NaOH had their colors changed into brighter pink, pink, light green, and green-brownish. The color changes on the developed paper indicators made of extracted ethanol from Ashoka were extremely clear with a condition of 96% ethanol solution and 72 hours of soaking period.

Abstract

Learning will be effective if the teacher understands the needs of learning well. The purpose of this study was to explore the needs of teachers in literacy learning on reading comprehension competence in elementary schools. The method used in this research is exploratory qualitative which was conducted at the State Elementary School in Central Magelang Sub-District, Magelang City, Central Java Province, Indonesia. The results of the study indicate that there are several problems in literacy learning of reading comprehension competence so teachers need several learning innovations as solutions, namely in the learning model by combining problem-based learning models with the SQ3R model, in teaching materials by developing integrated teaching materials with innovative learning models, and on the assessment instrument by developing an assessment instrument oriented towards high order thinking skills (HOTS). The results of this needs analysis will be used to conduct further research as a form of literacy learning innovation in reading comprehension competence.

Abstract

Experimental activities are part of physics learning process with the aim of gaining knowledge and having good understanding of physics concepts. Sound and organ pipes are the main subjects discussed in physics and engineering lessons. These materials contain facts accompanied by actualization in everyday life in social life. However, the fact in high school (SMA) physics learning is that experimental activities in supporting students’ learning and understanding have not been widely carried out. This is due to the lack of practical support tools. The purposes of this research are to design a sound experimentation tool design of an open and closed organ pipes and to determine the value of the speed of sound which propagates through air medium using a data acquisition technique assisted by sound analysis oscilloscope software. This type of research is a Research and Development research with five stages referring to the ADDIE model. The first stage was analysis, that was done by conducting a study of the problems of physics learning at senior high school level, especially in sound chapter. The second stage was design, namely designing experimentation tools. The third stage was development, that was done by providing materials that were used in the experiment. The fourth stage was implementation, that was testing the tool which had been made combined with sound analysis oscilloscope software, and the fifth was conducting an evaluation and feasibility test based on the validity of the experimental data. The data analysis technique used average and linear regression by utilizing the results of data from frequency analysis using sound analysis oscilloscope software. The results showed that the experimentation tool in this study was able to be used as learning media for the sound and open and closed organ pipes materials. The experimental results obtained that the speed of the sound waves propagation in air for an open organ pipe was v = 332.19 m/s with an accuracy rate of 97.70%. While the value of the speed of the sound waves in air for a closed organ pipe was v = 334.69 m/s with an accuracy rate of 98.44%.

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) create a design of a modest water plan for mathematics lessons with the material of fluid, (2) describe the improved psychomotor skills of the learners from the learning process with the created design, the modest water plan, for mathematics lesson with the material of fluid, and (3) describe the learners' responses toward the design of the water pump with the lesson of fluid mechanics. This Research & Development applied the ADDIE model with five stages. The first stage was analysis. The researchers reviewed the physics learning problems for Senior High School learner levels, specifically in the chapter on fluid mechanics. The second stage was the designing stage. The researchers designed the experiment tools. The third stage was the development stage. The researchers provided the materials to experiment. The fourth stage was the implementation stage. The researchers used the pre-created tool in a trial run test. Then, the fifth stage was the evaluation stage. This stage involved the reliability test based on the data validity of the experiment results. The results showed that: (1) the design of the modest water pump was applicable as the media of fluid mechanics learning, (2) the pretest-posttest results of the trial run test showed the improved aspect of the learners' scientific process skills; and (3) the learners' responses toward the design as the learning media for fluid mechanics was categorized "excellent."

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui analisis kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas V SD di Kecamatan Gunungpati Kota Semarang. Peneliti menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas V dan  Guru kelas V Sekolah Dasar SD Negeri Ngijo 02. Tes dan wawancara digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data pada penelitian ini. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh hasil nilai rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas V adalah 54,76 dengan kriteria rendah. Masih ada kesalahan-kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah pada indikator-indikator tertentu. Kendala yang sering dialami siswa dalam memecahkan masalah adalah kurangnya pemahaman siswa terhadap masalah yang harus dipecahkan dan kurangnya kemampuan siswa dalam menuliskan informasi pada soal.

Abstract

Penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila dapat dilakukan melalui budaya sekolah, pembelajaran intrakurikuler dan kegiatan ekstrakulikuler yang didalamnya fokus terhadap pembentukan karakter dengan memanfaatkan bahan alam berbasis e-modul praktikum fisika. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk memahami mengenai profil pelajar Pancasila sebagai orientasi baru dalam meningkatkan karakter siswa Indonesia dengan memanfaatkan bahan alam sebagai bahan praktikum pada materi fisika berbasis e-modul. Penulisan penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian pustaka untuk mendapatkan data dan sumber yang relevan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa dalam mengembangkan karakter peserta didik melalui penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila dengan memanfaatkan bahan alam berbasis e-modul praktikum pada materi fisika dapat meningkatkan pembentukan karakter dan kemampuan yang dibangung dalam keseharian dan kehidupan dalam diri setiap individu. Hal ini didukung oleh beberapa indicator yang mencakup profil pelajar Pancasila, diantaranya adalah; beriman bertaqwa kepada tuhan YME dan berakhlak mulia, mandiri, berfikir kritis, kreatif, bergotong royong, berkhibenikaan global. Kata Kunci : Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila, E-Modul, Praktikum Fisika.
