Abstract

The Nasi Hadap-Hadapan tradition is a significant ceremonial practice of the Batubara community in North Sumatra, Indonesia, characterized by symbolic actions and culturally embedded communication. Despite its rich communicative features, this tradition has not been thoroughly examined through a pragmatic linguistic lens, particularly using a mixed method approach. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the exploratory sequential mixed method in analyzing the forms, functions, and meanings of speech acts within the Nasi Adap-Adapan tradition. The qualitative phase involved participatory observation and in-depth interviews with traditional leaders and ceremony participants to identify pragmatic patterns and sociocultural meanings. The quantitative phase analyzed 145 speech acts transcribed from video recordings, categorized into five types based on Searle’s classification: expressive, directive, representative, commissive, and declarative. The findings revealed that expressive (33.8%) and directive (28.3%) speech acts were the most dominant, emphasizing the ceremony’s function in fostering emotional bonds and guiding ritual procedures. These acts were embedded within cultural symbols, such as food offerings and customary phrases. The mixed method approach proved effective in capturing both the linguistic structure and sociocultural context of ceremonial communication. This study highlights the importance of integrated methodologies in pragmatic research, particularly in documenting and analyzing traditional oral practices within non-Western cultural contexts. Abstract

Perkembangan anak usia dini merupakan pondasi yang penting dalam membentuk aspek-aspek perkembangan yang ada pada anak. Pada masa ini, anak berada pada era golden age yang dimana berbagai aspek perkembangan pada masa ini berkembang pesat. Namun ternyata, banyak orang tua yang tidak dapat mendampingi anaknya secara keseluruhan. Banyak orang tua yang bekerja dari pagi hingga malam dan tidak dapat mendampingi anaknya selama hampir seharian. Oleh sebab itu, banyak anak-anak yang dititipkan orang tuanya kepada daycare untuk menjaga dan mengasuh anak-anaknya ketika mereka sedang bekerja atau ada kegiatan lain di luar rumah. Artikel ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam memperkaya literatur mengenai strategi pengasuhan di lingkungan daycare, khususnya dalam konteks peningkatan kemandirian anak usia dini. Dengan pendekatan studi literatur sistematis menggunakan 15 jurnal yang relevan dalam jangka waktu 10 tahun terakhir, artikel ini menyajikan sintesis komprehensif dari berbagai penelitian terkait, yang dapat dijadikan acuan praktis oleh pengasuh, pendidik PAUD, maupun pengambil kebijakan dalam merancang pola asuh yang efektif di lembaga pengasuhan anak. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa strategi pengasuhan yang konsisten, responsif, dan berbasis stimulasi kemandirian mampu memberikan dampak positif terhadap perkembangan kemandirian anak asuh, tentunya dengan peran yaitu pendamping, pendidik, motivator, penasehat, serta pelatih.

Abstract

Digitalization has become a crucial need in the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), especially in improving market access and business legality. In Olean Village, Situbondo Regency, most MSME actors lack digital skills and formal legal documents such as Business Identification Numbers (NIB) and halal certification. This community service aimed to enhance online business management skills through training on social media utilization, Google Maps registration, and SWOT analysis. The method involved needs assessment, coordination with local authorities, offline training, and two weeks of online mentoring. The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ digital skills and the formation of the "UMKM Digital Olean" community as a platform for collaboration and sharing best practices. This program demonstrates that a community-based approach is effective in empowering MSMEs sustainably in rural areas.

Abstract

Financial Technology (FinTech) has significantly changed the landscape of Indonesia’s digital economy. On the other hand, the increasing non-domestic population in Indonesia, especially the student age group, also reflects the broadening demographic dynamics. This group plays a crucial role as a consumer in national economic growth. Despite the increasing growth of the national digital economy, the non-domestic population, especially the student age group, is doubtful about the acceptance of using FinTech. This paper investigated non-domestic students’ intention to use FinTech in Indonesia. The authors employed mixed methodology with an explanatory sequential design. Thus, this paper explored this narrative based on the technology acceptance model (TAM) and external factors such as Performance Expectancy (PE) and Social Influence (SI). Using the partial least squares (PLS) approach, data from the 75 non-domestic students in Indonesia were analyzed. In addition, this paper also utilized in-depth interviews to gather further information from participants. The thematic analysis of the semi-structured interviews was conducted to explore the non-domestic students’ experience of using Indonesian FinTech.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh Non Performing Loan (NPL) dan Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), baik secara parsial maupun simultan, terhadap harga saham pada perusahaan perbankan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Data penelitian menggunakan laporan tahunan yang diperoleh melalui situs resmi perusahaan dan www.idx.co.id. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik dokumentasi serta studi pustaka. Analisis data meliputi uji normalitas, uji multikolinearitas, uji heterokedastisitas, uji autokorelasi, uji parsial (uji t), uji simultan (uji F), regresi linear berganda, analisis korelasi, serta koefisien determinasi. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa 1)Non Performing Loan tidak berpengaruh signifikan secara parsial terhadap Harga Saham, 2)Debt To Equity Ratio tidak berpengaruh negatif secara parsial trhadap Harga Saham, 3)Non Performing Loan dan Debt To Equity Ratio Berpengaruh Simultan terhadap Harga Saham.

Abstract

English proficiency is a crucial skill in today’s globalized world; however, non-English major students at universities often receive only two credits of English courses, which is insufficient to ensure their language mastery. This limitation presents a significant challenge for both students and lecturers, requiring innovative approaches to enhance students' learning experiences. One such approach is autonomous learning, which emphasizes students’ responsibility and self-direction in the learning process. This study aims to explore lecturers' understanding of autonomous learning and how they implement it within the constraints of limited English instruction. A qualitative research design employing a case study approach was utilized. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 14 lecturers teaching English in non-English study programs at a public university in Jambi, Indonesia. The participants included lecturers with varied backgrounds in English language teaching, providing diverse perspectives on the implementation of autonomous learning. The findings reveal that despite the emphasis on autonomy, students still require an instructor’s presence (teaching presence) to stimulate engagement and provide guidance in learning English. Two key themes emerged from the analysis: students’ sovereignty and trust in students’ exertion. Students' sovereignty refers to their freedom, independence, responsibility, and self-determination in identifying their learning needs and strategies. Meanwhile, trust in students' exertion highlights the importance of creating an atmosphere of acceptance, where students feel encouraged to take charge of their learning. This study underscores the need for a balanced approach between autonomy and instructional support to optimize English language learning. It is recommended that future research examine both lecturers’ and students’ perspectives to ensure that autonomous learning is a collaborative process rather than a unilateral expectation. Insights from this study contribute to the development of effective pedagogical strategies for promoting learner autonomy in higher education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kepekaan anak terhadap angka, serta minimnya pengetahuan mereka mengenai angka, bahkan terdapat anak yang belum mampu membedakan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis efektivitas pembelajaran matematika melalui permainan edukatif digital dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan logika anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Pertiwi 45 Kalisegoro, Semarang. Metode yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimental yang mengadopsi tipe one group pretest-posttest design subjek yang penelitian terdiri dari 22 anak yang tergabung dalam kelompok B dengan rentang usia 5 hingga 6 tahun. Instrument penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes kecerdasan logika matematika yang dirancang berdasarkan indikator kemampuan berpikir logis anak, meliputi kemampuan berhitung, membedakan pola, membandingkan jumlah, serta memahami hubungan sebab-akibat. Data yang diperoleh melalui pre-tets dan post-test, yang menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata pretest mencapai95,64% dengan kategori sangat baik, sedangkan nilai-nilai rata-rata post-test meningkat menjadi 97,77% yang berada dalam kategori sangat baik. Analisis data yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik statitika dekriptif untuk menggambarkan karakteristik data, serta uji t untuk menentukan signifikasi perbedaan antara nilai pretest dan posttest, dengan nilai p<0,05. Hal ini dalam mengindikasikan bahwa pembelajaran matematika melalui permainan edukasi digital memiliki dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kecerdasan logika matematika anak.  Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran matematika melalui permainan edukatif digital terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan logika matematika pada anak usia dini. Permainan edukatif digital mampu menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan dan menarik, serta mendorong anak untuk lebih aktif dan fokus dalam memahami materi matematika. Media ini dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu alternative pembelajaran di Taman Kanak-Kanak untuk meningkatkan kemapuan kognitif, khususnya kecerdasan logika matematika.

Abstract

This case study examines the role of Wattpad in enhancing the narrative writing skills of fourth-semester students at the University of Asahan. In the digital age, platforms like Wattpad have become an essential tool in modern education, providing an interactive space for students to engage in creative writing. The study aims to explore how Wattpad motivates students, improves their writing fluency, and offers a platform for feedback and community interaction. Data were gathered through surveys and interviews with students enrolled in narrative writing courses, revealing their experiences using Wattpad as a tool for both academic and personal writing development. The findings indicate that Wattpad serves not only as a motivational resource but also helps students refine their storytelling techniques, expand their vocabulary, and develop their unique writing voices. The study concludes that incorporating Wattpad into the curriculum could significantly enhance narrative writing skills among university students, offering a dynamic and engaging platform for skill development.

Abstract

This study aims to find out and analyze the effect of workload and occupational health and safety (K3) on employee performance at the Office of the National Land Agency, Dompu Regency. Types of associative research. research instrument using a Likert scale questionnaire. The population used was all employees at the Dompu Regency National Land Agency office as many as 53 people with details of 32 civil servant employees and 21 non-employee government employees (PPNP), the sample in this study were 32 civil servants. The sampling technique used is porposive sampling. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews, questionnaires and literature study. Data analysis techniques using validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple regression, multiple correlation coefficient, t test and f test. The results of the study show that workload and occupational health and safety (K3) have a simultaneous effect on employee performance at the Office of the National Land Agency, Dompu Regency.

Abstract

Sebagai seorang guru profesional, kemampuan untuk memahami kurikulum pendidikan nasional merupakan hal yang sangat penting demi mewujudkan tujuan pendidikan yang diharapkan dalam kurikulum tersebut. Selain itu, guru juga dituntut untuk mampu membuat perangkat ajar sesuai dengan tujuan dan rambu-rambu yang sudah ditetapkan di dalam kurikulum pendidikan tersebut. Kurikulum Merdeka sebagai kurikulum pendidikan nasional Indonesia yang baru diluncurkan secara resmi pada tahun 2022 yang lalu memiliki karakteristik perangkat ajar yang jauh berbeda dibandingkan dengan karakteristik perangkat ajar di Kurikulum 2013 pendahulunya. Karenanya, dipandang perluuntuk memberikan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada para guru sekolah dalam membuat perangkat ajar sebagaimana diamanatkan oleh Kurikulum Merdeka. Secara lebih spesifik, bidang studi yang dipilih adalah pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris karena merupakan expertise dari para dosen pelaksana kegiatan pengabdian kepada maysarakat ini, dalam hal ini kerjasama dengan Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) beserta guru Bahasa Inggris Tingkat SMA Kota Jambi sebagai mitra.
