Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk ungkapan kepercayaan rakyat di Sirilanggai, Siberut Utara, Kabupaten Kepulauan Mentawai. Dalam konteks kekayaan budaya Indonesia yang beragam, penelitian ini berfokus pada kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap takhayul dan larangan yang berlaku dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, terutama yang berkaitan dengan masa lahir, masa kanak-kanak, pekerjaan, pernikahan, dan alam gaib. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif melalui wawancara mendalam dengan informan yang merupakan penduduk asli. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 32 ungkapan kepercayaan rakyat yang dikumpulkan dalam beberapa kategori. Ungkapan-ungkapan tersebut masih digunakan oleh masyarakat sebagai pedoman hidup, meskipun ada kecenderungan generasi muda yang mulai melupakan makna dan pentingnya ungkapan tersebut. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam pelestarian budaya lokal dan menyuburkan kajian folklor di Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan ketidaklangsungan ekspresi pada puisi “simbiosis mutualisme” karya IfaraRP dalam Wattpad. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskripsi kualitatif. Data ketidaklangsungan ekspresi yang diambil terdiri atas penggantian arti, penyimpangan arti, dan penciptaan arti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 1) bentuk penggantian arti dengan simile, metafora, personafikasi, sinekdoke, dan perumpamaan epos. Penggantian arti yang paling dominan adalah perumpamaan epos. Ini menunjukkan bahwa penulis ingin menyampaikan bahwa puisi dengan tema cinta dan memanfaatkan diksi-diksi sains harus memiliki keterkaitan sehingga konsep sistematis sains hadir dalam puisi. 2) Bentuk penyimpangan arti berupa ambiguitas. Ambiguitas dimunculkan oleh penulis untuk memberikan ruang kebebasan bagi pembaca dalam mengimajinasikan atau menafsirkan puisi. 3) Bentuk penciptaan arti berupa enjambement dan tipografi menunjukkan bahwa dalam puisi antar barisnya memilki ikatan yang kuat dan bentuk align center memiliki arti keseimbangan, yaitu simbiosis mutualisme seharusnya berjalan dengan seimbang dan saling menguntungkan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the comparison of using Treffinger model to rewrite anecdotal and short story folklore texts for class X students of SMA Negeri 6 Padang. The type of the research is quantitative research with experimental method. The population of this research are 255 students of class X of SMA Negeri 6 Padang 2022/2023 academic year. Sample of the research was taken by using simple random sampling technique. The instrument of the research was writing test of anecdotal and short story folklore text. After treating the sample classes by using Treffinger model, X IPA 2 and X IPS 4 was tested to write anecdotal text, X IPA 1 and X IPS 3 was treated to write short story folklore text. The results of the research were as follows; first, students’ average score in writing short story folklore text who taught by using the Treffinger model were of 82.67 with good category (range of 76% -85%). Second, students' average score in writing anecdotal text by using Treffinger model were 75.50 with more than adequate category (range of 66%-75%). Third, there is a significant comparison between students’ ability to rewrite anecdotal texts and short story folklore text by using Treffinger model at class X students of SMA Negeri 6 Padang.

Abstract

This article discusses how films set in Minangkabau culture can be used as an effective platform to enable students to understand Minangkabau culture and the target language. Through films, students broaden their understanding of culture, language, geography, sociolinguistics, socioeconomic, socio- political and educational in Minang society. This article describes how a small number of films set in Minangkabau culture have been used at different skill levels in language programs in schools as one of the local content subjects, especially schools located in West Sumatra with the majority of the Minang community. It also examines the role of films in the teaching and learning process, and how watching films strengthens classroom activities such as discussions, and debates and activities outside the classroom such as interviews and research on topics related to the films. To explore student feedback on this process, there was a discussion about responses to watching the film. It is proposed that three main issues need to be considered: film choice; development of lesson plans; and possible efficiency is obtained by asking students to watch movies. In conclusion, it is argued that the combination of these strategies demonstrates how films set in Minangkabau culture can be used in innovative ways to teach Minang language and culture in West Sumatra. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh manajemen laba akrual dengan pendekatan revenue discretionary model dan kualitas laba terhadap nilai perusahaan pada perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada tahun 2015-2019. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada tahun 2015-2019 yaitu sebanyak 184 perusahaan. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu sebanyak 99 perusahaan. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen laba akrual dengan pendekatan revenue discretionary model secara parsial tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan dengan nilai probability sebesar 0,645 lebih besar dari 0,05 (0,645 > 0,05). Kualitas Laba secara parsial berpengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan dengan nilai probability sebesar 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0.05 (0,000 < 0,05). Manajemen laba akrual dengan pendekatan revenue discretionary model dan kualitas laba secara parsial berpengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan, hasil yang diperoleh menunjukan bahwa nilai probability yang dihasilkan sebesar 0,000 < 0,05.

Abstract

This qualitative descriptive study aims to explore the pragmatic significance of rarely researched Javanese silly gags. The primary objective is to examine the markers and implications of these gags in daily communication, particularly focusing on their various categories. Utilizing social media fragments as the primary source, the research employs the note-taking method for listening. Subsequent steps include the identification, classification, and characterization of Javanese silly gags into five distinct categories: (1) Silly jokes for enthusiasm, (2) Silly jokes for sarcasm, (3) Silly jokes for satire, (4) Silly jokes for exasperation, and (5) Silly jokes for enigmatic humor. The equivalent analysis method is then applied, specifically using contextual equivalents through a comparative linking technique for in-depth data analysis. The emphasis on context is considered a crucial factor in conducting purpose-oriented pragmatic studies. The analysis reveals valuable insights into the diverse functions of Javanese silly gags, showcasing their significance in daily communication. The identified categories provide a comprehensive understanding of how these gags serve various purposes, from expressing enthusiasm to conveying sarcasm, satire, exasperation, and enigmatic humor. The social media fragments prove to be rich sources for uncovering the nuances of Javanese silly gags and their markers. The findings of this study shed light on the multifaceted nature of Javanese silly gags, highlighting their importance in preserving a unique form of humor. The study emphasizes the potential threat posed by the younger generation’s lack of comprehension. It underscores the need to preserve and understand Javanese silly gags in the evolving landscape of communication. Overall, this research contributes to the broader understanding of pragmatic aspects in Javanese humor, emphasizing the cultural and communicative significance of these often-overlooked forms of expression.

Abstract

The development of accounting science increasingly highlights the strong interconnection between technical aspects and human behavior in decision-making, giving rise to the field of Behavioral Accounting. This study aims to analyze research trends in Behavioral Accounting using a bibliometric approach. The method employed is bibliometric analysis based on publication data from the Dimensions database for the period 2000–2024, with scientific mapping visualized using VOSviewer software. The analysis covers 6,109 peer-reviewed journal articles selected through relevant keywords, including bibliographic coupling by country, institution, journal, publication, and keyword co-occurrence. The results reveal that the United States is the dominant contributor in terms of publication volume and collaborative strength, followed by the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada. Harvard University and the University of California, Los Angeles are identified as the most productive institutions, while Behavioral Research in Accounting emerges as the leading journal in this field. The publication by Libby (2002) holds a central position, serving as a key theoretical reference and bridging various generations of literature. These findings underscore that the academic landscape of Behavioral Accounting remains largely dominated by developed countries and prominent institutions, while developing countries such as Indonesia need to improve publication quality and enhance international collaboration. The implication of this study is the provision of a comprehensive knowledge map that can serve as a foundation for future research direction and foster broader engagement from the global academic community in the advancement of Behavioral Accounting.

Abstract

Urban farming merupakan usaha produksi pangan dengan memanfaatkan lahan sempit. Produk yang dihasilkan dapat berupa tanaman, sayuran, ikan atau produk pangan lainnya. Kegiatan urban farming menjadi suatu hal yang cukup fundamental pada masa-masa pandemi wabah virus corona. Melalui kegiatan urban farming tersebut, setiap orang diharapkan dapat melakukan kegiatan produktif, yaitu menghasilkan pangan mandiri untuk kebuhtuhan sehari-hari. Salah satu kegiatan urban farming pada sektor perikanan budidaya adalah dengan melakukan kegiatan budikdamber (budidaya ikan di dalam ember). Budidaya ikan pada wabah berupa ember memiliki keterbatasan, yaitu kapasitas produksi dan pemahaman akan tekhnologinya yang masih terbatas. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu upaya agar dapat memaksimalkan kegiatan budidaya ikan yang dilakukan pada lahan yang sangat sempit tersebut sehingga mampu menghasilkan produk ikan dengan kapasitas yang maksimal. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan memberikan bimbingan tekhnis kepada mitra yang terlibat dalam hal aplikasi tekhnologi budikdamber (budidaya ikan dalam ember). Target luaran yang ingin dicapai dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah pemahaman dan kemampuan masyarakat yang baik dalam mengelola budidaya ikan terutama menggunakan lahan yang sempit. Bagi pelaksana kegiatan, kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menghasilkan sebuah artikel ilmiah bidang pengabdian yang disubmit pada jurnal nasional terakreditasi Sinta. Selain itu, luaran yang diharapkan tercapai adalah surat pernyataan pemanfaatan hasil riset oleh mitra masyarakat.

Abstract

The Meranti Regency is endowed with a rich biodiversity, including the sea cucumber, locally known as beronok, which has been recognized by the local community for its high nutritional value. This article explores community empowerment efforts aimed at utilizing beronok to enhance nutritional quality and overall well-being. With its rich content of protein, minerals, and other health benefits, beronok holds the potential to be developed into a valuable functional food source. Through educational programs and training, the community is encouraged to process and utilize beronok effectively to support food security and promote healthier lifestyles. This initiative not only aims to improve the nutritional intake of the local population but also to enhance their socio-economic status by creating new opportunities for livelihood through sustainable use of natural resources. By increasing community awareness and skills in processing beronok, the program seeks to foster a self-sufficient and health-conscious community. The study highlights the importance of integrating local resources into community development strategies to address nutritional challenges and improve living standards, thereby contributing to the overall resilience and sustainability of the region.

Abstract

The choice of diction in mass media reporting, especially crime news involving women as victims or perpetrators is the reason for this research. Diction not only functions to convey information, but also forms the construction of reality and influences the reader's perspective on an event. This study aims to describe the types of diction used in women's crime news in the online media Posmetro Padang June and July 2025 editions, as well as to analyze the denotative and connotative meanings of the diction. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative with the listening and note-taking method. The research data are in the form of excerpts from women's crime news published in the online media Posmetro Padang. Data analysis was carried out using the referential matching method and the distribution method through the replace, disappear, and read markah techniques. Based on the results of the data analysis, it shows that women's crime news in the online media Posmetro Padang uses a lot of connotative diction, such as molest, raped, and sex slave, which creates an emotional impression and frames women as vulnerable and marginalized parties. Denotative diction such as the words molestation and rape. The choice of connotative diction is more dominant because it serves to create a dramatic effect and attract the reader's attention. However, on the other hand, it can reinforce gender stereotypes towards women.
