Abstract

Kurikulum memainkan peran penting sebagai pedoman untuk pembelajaran. Gagasan kurikulum merdeka merupakan inovasi kurikulum yang dirancang oleh pemerintah dalam menyiapkan sumber daya manusia di bidang pendidikan. Guru berperan penting dalam pengawasan agar materi pembelajaran yang berkaitan dengan penguatan karakter sesuai dengan tujuan kurikulum merdeka ini. Pergantian kurikulum menimbulkan tantangan bagi guru untuk menjadi pelaksana kurikulum merdeka. Ada beberapa kriteria yang bisa digunakan untuk mengukur kesiapan guru untuk menerapkan kurikulum merdeka, seperti kesiapan kognitif, fisik, psikologis, dan finansial. Kesiapan guru mempengaruhi keberhasilan kurikulum karena guru selain bertindak sebagai pendidik juga sebagai pengembang kurikulum. Maka tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa siap guru kimia di SMA Negeri 9 Pontianak untuk menerapkan kurikulum merdeka. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dan studi kasus. Dari teknik pengumpulan data yakni observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, guru kimia di SMA Negeri 9 Pontianak masih belum mencapai tingkat pemahaman yang optimal dalam mengimplementasikan kurikulum merdeka tentang pembuatan perangkat ajar, terutama modul ajar, dan pembuatan media pembelajaran

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' scientific work skills on material of reaction rate in class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Ambawang. This research is a descriptive form with subjects 22 students. This study used the instruments in the form of identification sheets, observation sheets, and interview sheets. The processing of research data is done by assigning a score to the results of the work of students which then the score is accumulated to get the percentage of the category of students' abilities in doing scientific work. The results showed that the scientific work skills from class XI IPA 1 of SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Ambawang as a whole can be categorized quite well with the skilled category at the stage of conducting experiments (75%), quite skilled category at the stage of formulating problems (64.8%), formulating hypothesis (72.7%), analyzing data (65.9%), and the stages of making conclusions from experimental results (70.5%), as well as the less skilled category at the stage of formulating experimental variables (51.1%), formulating operational definitions of variables (31.8%), and at the stage of communicating data in the form of tables and graphs (38.6%).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between independence learning and GPA in the use of Google Classroom. This research uses a correlation study approach. The data collection tool used is a questionnaire using a Likert scale. The population in this study were Chemical Education Students, FKIP Untan, Batch 2021. The samples taken were 43 respondents. The results of data analysis using the analysis prerequisite test with a significance level of 0.05 indicate that the learning independence data variable is normally distributed and the GPA is not normally distributed which is transformed with a significance of 0.288 so that the research variable data has a normal distribution. The results of the linearity test show that the regression line is linear. The results of the analysis of hypothesis testing using the Product Moment Correlation show that there is no positive and significant relationship between Independence Learning and the Cumulative Achievement Index. Product Moment correlation analysis rcount of -0.025. This value is smaller than rtable with N=43 at the 5% significance level of 0.2940. This means that Learning Independence has no positive impact and does not significantly affect student GPA on the use of Google Classroom.

Abstract

Kegiatan pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan para guru kimia di kabupaten Melawi dalam merancang, memilih, dan menggunakan media pembelajaran yang tepat dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Selain itu, pelatihan ini juga diharapkan dapat membekali guru untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang lebih interaktif, menarik dan efektif bagi peserta didik. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SMA Muhammadiyah kabupaten Melawi pada tanggal 26 Juli 2023 melalui workshop dan pendampingan. Ke giatan ini diikuti oleh 13 orang guru Kimia dari SMA/SMK yang ada di Nanga Pinoh, kabupaten Melawi. Kegiatan pelatihan dibagi menjadi dua bagian, bagian pertama fokus pada pembuatan modul berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL), sedangkan bagian kedua fokus pada penggunaan/pemanfaatan media atau aplikasi online. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa peserta antusias dalam mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan dan memberikan respon positif terhadap kegiatan pelatihan. Semua peserta menyatakan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan sangat berg una dan mudah diaplikasikan sehingga dapat membantu guru dalam merancang dan menyiapkan kegiatan belajar mengajar. This training activity aims to enhance the skills of chemistry teachers in Melawi Regency in designing, selecting, and utilizing appropriate teaching media for classroom instruction. Additionally, this training is also expected to equip teachers to create a more interactive, engaging, and effective learning environment for students. The activity took place at SMA Muhammadiyah in Melawi Regency on July 26, 2023, through workshops and mentoring. Thirteen chemistry teachers from various high schools and vocational schools in Nanga Pinoh, Melawi Regency, participated in this training. The training was divided into two parts, with the first part focusing on the development of Problem-Based Learning (PBL)-based modules, while the second part emphasized the use of online media or applications. Based on the evaluation results, it can be concluded that participants were enthusiastic about the training and provided positive feedback. All participants stated that the training was highly beneficial and easily applicable, helping teachers in designing and preparing effective teaching and learning activities.

Abstract

The learning process in the chemistry for junior high school course emphasizes the concept discovery process, so inquiry learning is one alternative solution that can be done. The purpose of this study is to develop inquiry-based chemistry for junior high school course modules along with performance assessment. This research includes development research (Research and Development) which is generally divided into three stages, namely draft development, validation, and readability test. In the development phase of the draft module, a questionnaire, observation, and documentation technique were selected, in addition to the literature review (theory and previous research). The validation stage used validation sheets and interviews. In the readability, the phase uses the module readability questionnaire. The results showed that the developed and valid SMP chemistry modules were used from the aspects of objectives to be achieved, writing approach, truth, and depth of concepts, language clarity, the suitability of inquiry models with learning stages, physical appearance and appropriateness of performance appraisal with the learning process if the module was applied. The readability test results show that students give positive responses to the module in terms of their interest in content and appearance, renewability of content, interest in solving problems, ease of understanding the content and direction of completion.

Abstract

Pengembangan bahan ajar pada pembelajaran abad 21 diselaraskan dengan kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Kurang maksimalnya bahan ajar dalam melibatkan berbagai aspek untuk menumbuhkan potensi dan minat belajar berdampak pada rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kelayakan dan respon peserta didik terhadap kepraktisan e-modul berbasis STEM pada materi hidrolisis garam. Jenis penelitian ini ialah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahapan yakni analisis, perencanaan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Namun pada penelitian ini dilaksanakan sampai pengembangan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik pengukuran dan komunikasi tidak langsung. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar kelayakan ahli dan angket respon peserta didik. Uji kelayakan ahli dilakukan oleh masing-masing dua orang ahli pada tiap aspek yakni materi, bahasa dan kegrafikan. Pada uji kelompok kecil dan uji lapangan masing-masing melibatkan delapan dan 32 orang peserta didik. Hasil penilaian kelayakan para ahli diukur menggunakan rumus Gregory menunjukkan nilai validitas sebesar 1,00 dengan kriteria sangat tingi. Hasil uji kelompok kecil sebesar 83% dan 87% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa e-modul yang dibuat sangat layak dan praktis digunakan oleh peserta didik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media Chem-US yang layak dan mengetahui respon peserta didik terhadap media Chem-US. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Teknik yang digunakan menggunakan teknik pengukuran dan komunikasi tidak langsung. Kelayakan media Chem-Us ditinjau dari 3 aspek yaitu aspek soal, media, dan bahasa. Dari hasil uji kelayakan pada aspek media, soal, dan bahasa diperoleh kriteria sangat layak dengan persentase masing-masing sebesar 96,25%, 95,84%, dan 93,75%. Media Chem-Us memperoleh respon sangat baik dari responden kelompok kecil dan besar dengan persentase masing-masing sebesar 86,72% dan 86,38 %. Dengan demikian produk yang dikembangkan dari penelitian ini memiliki potensi untuk diterapkan sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi sistem periodik unsur.

Abstract

Elective subject is the flagship program of Merdeka Curriculum..The elective subject program is based on students’ interest, talents, and aspirations. Therefore, students’ interest level in chemistry, as one of the options for elective subject program is a necessary to determined. This study aims to determine the level of student interest in choosing chemistry as an elective subject, so that teachers could find the best alternatives to increase students’ interest. The research was conducted with quantitative analysis methods and descriptive statistical approaches, using 139 students of grade 11th who have chosen chemistry as the elective subject. The level of students’ interest in chemistry is measured by students’ interest questionnaire. The questionnaire was adopted and developed by aspects of students’ interest: teachers’ role, students’ perception, students’ intrinsic motivation in learning, and meaningful learning of lesson. Content validation test using Aiken formula showed the questionnaire validity is very high, as value 1. Based on the analysis, the result stated that the level of students’ interest was included as high category with 76,11%. All aspects are categorized as high, aspects of the teacher's role in learning with 77.44%, students’ perceptions with 73.63%, students’ intrinsic motivation 78.99% and the meaningfulness of learning lesson with 74.37%.

Abstract

This research aims to establish the validity and reliability of a novel self-assessment instrument designed to quantify the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) abilities of chemistry teachers implementing a science-based approach. The study employs a Research and Development (R&D) framework, utilizing the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. The development process involved two subject matter experts for initial validity testing, followed by a panel of 18 expert reviewers for further validity assessment, and a reliability testing phase involving 50 active chemistry teachers. Initial validity assessment yielded Aiken's V coefficient values of 0.92 and 0.96 for the two experts, demonstrating high agreement on the instrument's content validity. Further validation by the expert panel resulted in an average Aiken's V coefficient of 0.94, indicating excellent consensus on the instrument's relevance and applicability. Reliability testing exhibited a satisfactory level of consistency, with Aiken's V coefficient values ranging from 0.52 to 0.64 for the seven TPACK domains (PK, CK, TK, TCK, TPK, PCK, TPACK). Consequently, the developed self-assessment instrument exhibits both robust validity and reliability in evaluating TPACK abilities of science-based chemistry teachers. The findings recommend the instrument's utility in facilitating better understanding of TPACK abilities in this context, contributing to the body of research on pedagogical tool development and supporting professional development efforts among scientific-based chemistry educators.

Abstract

The enzyme tyrosinase (EC 1.14.18.1) plays a role in the browning reaction of peels, fruits and vegetables, by catalyzing the process of melanin production. Therefore, tyrosinase inhibitors are needed to prevent excess melanin production from causing adverse browning reactions. Kratom leaves (Mitragyna speciosa Korth) contain secondary metabolites of alkaloids and flavonoids which are thought to have better and safer activity as tyrosinase inhibitors than kojic acid. Based on the color of the leaf veins, kratom leaves are divided into 3 variants, namely red, green and white kratom veins. This study aims to examine the activity of the ethanol extract of three variants of kratom leaves as an inhibitor of the tyrosinase enzyme. The results showed that the IC50 value of the three kratom leaf variants was >700 µg/mL while the IC50 value of kojic acid was 32.85 µg/mL. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the ethanol extract of kratom leaf variants of red, green and white veins did not have activity as an inhibitor of the tyrosinase enzyme because the IC50 values of all three were >700 µg/mL. Oleh karena itu, penghambat tirosinase diperlukan untuk mencegah produksi melanin berlebih sehingga menyebabkan reaksi pencoklatan yang merugikan. Daun kratom (Mitragyna speciosa Korth) mengandung senyawa metabolit sekunder alkaloid dan flavonoid yang diduga memiliki aktivitas sebagai penghambat enzim tirosinase. Berdasarkan warna vena daunnya, daun kratom terbagi menjadi 3 varian, yaitu kratom vena merah, hijau dan putih. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji sifat penghambatan ekstrak etanol tiga varian daun  kratom terhadap enzim tirosinase. Ekstrak etanol diperoleh dengan mengekstraksi secara maserasi serbuk kering 3 varian daun kratom dengan etanol selama 72 jam. Sifat penghambatan enzim tirosinase dilakukan dengan metode kolorimetri dan asam kojat sebagai pembamding.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai IC50 ketiga varian daun kratom >700 µg/mL sedangkan nilai IC50 asam kojat sebesar 32,85 µg/mL. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun kratom varian  merah, hijau dan putih tidak memiliki aktivitas sebagai penghambat enzim tirosinase karena nilai IC50 ketiganya >700 µg/mL.
