Chemistry learning in schools still tends to be teacher-centered, so students have limitations in connecting subjects to real life. The material on the mixed separation related to basic competence skills will be achieved through chemical experiments, but there is no chemical laboratory in schools. The learning activities only use textbooks borrowed from the library, so there is a need for other teaching materials that can help students to carry out chemistry experiments in the form of PjBL based Student Worksheet (LKPD) on separating mixed. The aim of this research is to asses the feasibility of PjBL based LKPD in mixed separation and determine the responses of students and teachers. Research and development (R&D) uses the ADDIE model, but this research only reaches the development stage. The subjects in this study were PjBL-based worksheets on mixed separation materials which were tested on a limited basis (15 students) and a large scale (35 students) at State Vocational High School (SMKN) 7 Pontianak. Data collection techniques used are direct communication techniques and indirect communication. Data collection tools are interview guides, feasibility assessment sheets, student and teacher response questionnaires. The expert assessment using the Gregory test showed that the criteria were very feasible, Â with a very high validity value of 1.00 for content, presentation, graphics and language aspects. The response test results with limited and extended trials obtained an average percentage of 85% and 86% respectively, and the response test results for 3 teachers obtained an average percentage of 88%. The results of the assessment indicate that the PjBL-Based Student Worksheet (LKPD) is very suitable for use in supporting chemistry experiments on mixed separation material in learning activities.

This study aims to develop a video tutorial for simple distillation equipment for making essential oils that is suitable for use in junior high school chemistry courses. The research is a development research using the Design Thinking approach. The Design Thinking approach includes five steps, namely: empathic, definition, idea, prototype, and test. The instruments used in this study are student response questionnaires and validity on video tutorials for simple distillation equipment for making essential oils. The results of validation and student response to the video were analyzed using a Guttman scale and obtained a percentage of validation of the feasibility of media design 100% with a very valid category, articulation and intonation 100% with a very valid category, operation 100% with a very valid category, and suitability of material with sub-CPMK 100% with a very valid category. The percentage in the response test, namely the media display indicator 96.8% with a very good category, 100% operation with a very good category, and 98.95% usefulness with a very good category. Thus it can be concluded that the results of the analysis of video tutorial development are worth testing in the learning process.

This study aims to find out the critical thinking skills of chemistry education students in completing questions in the form of contextual problems. The research form used is descriptive qualitative research using a contextual problem test in the form of 4 essay questions. It is categorized as qualitative descriptive research since this research focuses only to know the level of students' critical thinking skills in solving contextual problems. The research participants are second-year university students. The results of this study indicate that the critical thinking skills of chemistry education students in solving thermochemical questions in the form of contextual problems with indicators of interpreting information, making generalizations, creating assumptions, and thinking inductively are respectively 48.33%, 40.00%, 20.00 %, and 43.33%. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the critical thinking skills of chemistry education students in solving contextual problems are categorized as low instead.

This study aims to determine the feasibility level and teacher response test and student response test of project-based learning worksheets on food preservatives material developed based on the results of expert judgment and student responses based on the results of field trials. The form of this research is research and development (Research & Development) which adopts the ADDIE development model. The subject of this research is a project-based learning worksheet that was tested on 30 students of SMPN 2 Maya Island. The data collection instruments used were feasibility questionnaire, learner response questionnaire and teacher response questionnaire. The results of data processing show that the student worksheets developed are feasible to use in learning in terms of the percentage of material feasibility, language, and graphics, namely 97.2%; 94.02%; and 94.4%, respectively. The results of the percentage of learner response questionnaires on material aspects, language aspects and graphical aspects. Based on the three aspects of learner response, the percentage of feasibility of project-based learning worksheets on food preservatives is 89.9% which is included in the very high category. The results of the calculation of the percentage of teacher response questionnaires from 3 integrated science subject teachers amounted to 94.98% which is included in the very high category.

Interactive multimedia has an important role in the learning process. The interactive multimedia presented the learning material in various forms and supported students understanding of those who have different learning styles. To help students understand the topic and to facilitate students learning style the PeT-EFig is developed. PeT-EFig (periodic table and electron configuration) as interactive multimedia which supported students understanding of electron configuration concepts. The objectives of this study were a) to determine the feasibility of PeT-EFig, and b) to determine the response of chemistry teachers and students of PeT-EFig as interactive multimedia. The research method used is research and development (RD) using the ADDIE model with five stages: analysis, design, and development stages. However, the research was only conducted up to the development stage due to time constraints. Based on the result, PeT-EFig is considered very suitable by the experts with 96 and 95% respectively. Likewise, teachers at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak who teach chemistry subjects, stated that they strongly approved PeT-EFig as interactive multimedia on electron configuration 96%. Additionally, students also provided very positive feedback on the PeT-EFig through a small-scale trial involving 15 students with an average percentage of 87% for each aspect. Similarly, when a large-scale trial with 40 students, the final percentage score for each aspect was found to be 87%. The result indicated that the PeT-EFig could assist teachers in delivering the concepts and help students understand the electron configuration and atomic structure

Modul berbasis pendekatan saintifik merupakan satu di antara bahan ajar yang dapat menjadi penunjang dalam proses pembelajaran IPA. Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan kelayakan modul berbasis pendekatan saintifik dan menentukan respon guru terhadap modul berbasis pendekatan saintifik pada materi unsur, senyawa, dan campuran. Subjek penelitian ini adalah modul berbasis pendekatan saintifik pada materi unsur, senyawa, dan campuran untuk kelas VII MTs Negeri Kota Pontianak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model 4D yang dibatasi hanya sampai tahap pengembangan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik komunikasi tidak langsung dan pengukuran. Alat pengumpulan data berupa lembar penilaian kelayakan modul dan angket uji respon. Modul yang dikembangkan divalidasi oleh masing-masing 3 orang dari ahli materi (isi dan penyajian), ahli bahasa, dan ahli grafik serta diujicobakan kepada 6 orang guru IPA kelas VII MTs Negeri Kota Pontianak. Modul berbasis pendekatan saintifik memperoleh nilai kelayakan materi sebesar 96%, kebahasaan 95%, dan kegrafikan 97%. Respon guru terhadap modul berbasis pendekatan saintifik memperoleh skor sebesar 98%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, modul berbasis pendekatan saintifik sangat layak dan dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran dengan respon yang sangat baik.

This article describes the implementation of teachers’ competence in designing authentic assessments for active learning and identifies the inhibiting factors that affect teachers in designing these assessments for natural science learning subjects. The research employed a descriptive method with science teachers at SMPN 2 Pontianak as the subjects. Data were collected through interviews and questionnaires, and lesson plans designed by the teachers were analyzed. The interview guides and lesson plan review instruments were validated beforehand using the Gregory test. The results indicate that science teachers’ competence in designing authentic assessments was still inadequate across cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. This was primarily due to the misalignment of basic competencies with assessment indicators and the fact that most teachers did not design assessment rubrics. Additional obstacles included managing simultaneous assessment activities with large class sizes, limiting teachers’ ability to fully implement authentic assessments. Therefore, teachers are encouraged to enhance their skills in designing assessment instruments, implementing authentic assessments, and managing learning time effectively.

Ionic matter is an abstract material that is included in the submicroscopic level. Augmented reality is a media that can be used to overcome these problems. This research aims to identify the level of validity and show the response of educators and students to video tutorials on making augmented reality-based learning media on ion material. The level of product validity is based on the results of validation tests by experts, while the teacher's response is from the results of the teacher's response test questionnaire on chemistry and junior high school chemistry subjects. Student responses from chemistry education students at FKIP Tanjungpura University class of 2020. The method used is development using a design thinking approach. The research results show that the average percentage results in terms of media, material and language validity is 95.2%, so it can be categorized as very valid. Then, the teacher's response obtained an average percentage result of 89.9% and the student response was 88.85%. Thus, it is concluded that the resulting product received a very good response from educators and students.

Mahasiswa Pendidikan Kimia merupakan mahasiswa calon guru, yang bukan hanya harus terampil mengajar tetapi diharapkan dapat menjadi insan-insan yang memiliki kemampuan wirausaha. Salah satu produk yang bisa dikembangkan untuk berwirausaha adalah sabun. Bisnis sabun dari minyak jelantah memiliki manfaat yang besar, selain memberikan keuntungan finansial juga dapat menyelesaikan masalah lingkungan dan kesehatan yang bisa diakibatkan oleh minyak jelantah. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan mahasiswa terkait dengan minyak jelantah dan potensinya sebagai bahan baku untuk pembuatan sabun dan meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam pembuatan sabun dari minya jelantah. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap, yaitu Observasi terkait penggunaan minyak jelantah, persiapan pelaksanaan PKM, pelaksanaan PKM, dan monitoring, evaluasi serta tindak lanjut. Hasil observasi terkait penggunaan minyak jelantah menunjukkan bahwa lebih 50% minyak jelantah dibuang ke lingkungan, hanya sebagian kecil saja yang diolah. Responden kesulitan mengolah karena keterbatan alat dan bahan serta kesulitan menghilangkan bau yang tidak sedap. Pengetahuan tentang cara  menghilangkan bau tengik minyak jelantah, pengaroma yang cocok, dan prosedur yang tepat untuk pembuatan sabun dari minyak jelantah diinginkan oleh peserta dalam rangka mengolah minyak jelantah menjadi sabun. Pengamatan selama kegiatan pelaksanaan sosialisasi dan pelatihan pembuatan sabun dari minyak jelantah menunjukkan bahwa peserta sangat antusian mengikuti kegiatan. Sebanyak 80% peserta menyatakan pelatihan yang dilakukan sangat bermanfaat sehingga mereka berkiinginan untuk memproduksi sendiri sabun dari minyak jelantah. Diharapkan melalui kegiatan ini dapat menumbuhkan jiwa sainspreneur mahasiswa dan dapat mengatasi permasalahan yang diakibatkan oleh minyak jelantah

The use of ICT in education in the 21st century has facilitated educators to make changes in learning, so that learning becomes challenging and fun. This study aims to describe the perception of teachers regarding the use of information and communication technology in chemistry learning. For this purpose, a survey was conducted to collect data from 20 techers in Sintang and its surrounding areas. The method used is the descriptive method. The teachers’ persception questionnaire on ICT in chemistry learning was addopted from Teachers’ perception towards ICT in the teaching- learning process: Scale validty and reliability study were translated into Indonesian and modified to suit the conditions of the school. The results showed that the average perception of educators on the use of ICT in chemistry learning was 78,91 with a “Good†category, it is known that the use of ICT in chemistry learning is still not implemented for all educators
