Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to describe  the ability of students to solve HOTS questions on acid-base material and what factors influence students in solving HOTS questions on acid-base material. The form of research uses descriptive research. The research sample was FKIP Tanjungpura University. Chemistry education students in the 6th semester were 58 students. The ability of chemistry education students to solve hots questions was measured using essay written tests, and unstructured interviews. The research instrument was validated using the Gregory test matrix. The results showed that the ability of chemistry education students to solve hots was classified as moderate. This are indicated by the moderate percentage of the indicator at 69.2%. This proves the ability of chemistry education for each indicator are high. Factors affecting the ability of students are the lack of understanding the Bronsted-Lowry concept, not understanding the formula of vinegar acid levels and the difficulty in describing the strong acid and strong base titration curves.Keywords: The Ability, High Order Thinking Skill, Acid-Base Material

Abstract

AbstractThis research is aimed to produce teaching material based on refutation text that was feasible to be used and to find out student’s responses to the product that developed. The form of the research was Research and Development (R & D) which was adopted from the development of Kemp’s model. The subjects of this research is teaching materials based refutation text that was tested on class X students with industrial chemistry programs and laboratory testing analysis programs, which include XE, XF, XG and XH Classes at SMK-SMTI Pontianak by taking 9 students in each class who had high, medium, and low ability on acid-base material. Data collection instrument that was used were feasibility questionnaires and student responses questionnaires. The result showed that chemistry teaching material was very valid for contents feasibility (91,42%), very valid for presentation feasibility (92%), valid for language feasibility (80%), and valid for graphic feasibility (78,94%). The result of student’s responses showed that the teaching material has very high interpretations with total score of 81,88%. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan profil keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak sebelum dan setelah diberikan perlakuan dengan menggunakan model inkuri terbimbing pada materi pH larutan asam basa. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Pre-experimental Design dengan rancangan yang digunakan adalah One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah Kelas XI MIA 4 dengan jumlah 39 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes keterampilan berpikir kritis. Hasil analisis data diperoleh keterampilan berpikir kritis sebelum diberikan perlakuan adalah 64,10% berada pada kategori kurang terampil dan 35,90% berada pada kategori terampil. Diberikan perlakuan mengalami peningkatan menjadi 100% berada dalam kategori terampil. Berdasarkan pada uji sampel t berpasangan terdapat perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa sebelum dan setelah diberikan perlakuan dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajran inkuiri terbimbing dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Kata kunci : keterampilan berpikir ktitis, inkuiri terbimbing, pH larutan asam basa Abstract: This purpose of the research is to determine whether there are differences in the profile of critical thinking skills students’ of XIA MIA SMAN 2 Pontianak before and after the application of guided inquiry model on pH of acid-base solution. Research forms used in this research is the Pre-experimental design with a design used is the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample in this research is students in XI MIA 4 with the number of 39 students. The instrument used is test of critical thinking skills. The results of analysis data critical thinking skills before being given treatment was 64.10% in the less skilled category and 35.90% in the skilled category. Given treatment increased to 100% under the skilled category. Based on a paired t test there are differences in the students' critical thinking skills before and after being given treatment with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research was to describe the competency of students’ skill in making primary solution, diluting secondary solution and standardizing solution after the researcher applied direct introduction. The sample of research was elevent grade students of Industrial Chemistry Department of SMK-SMTI Pontianak. In this research, the students consisted of 22 students. The data collection was the expertise competency assessment sheet. The result of data analysis was the primary standard solution reached the competent category (100%), the competency of the dilution of secondary standard solution reached the competent category (95%) and standardization reached the competent category (90%). Therefore, the researcher concluded that the students were competent in making and standardizing solution after the researcher applied direct introduction.Keywords: direct introduction, making solution, standardization

Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this research was to determine whether there was a difference between learning achievement of students taught using guided discovery learning and conventional learning model, and to determine effect size of guided discovery learning model toward student learning achievement on electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solutions. This research used true experimental with Pretest-Posttest Group Design. The research sample consisted of X IPA 1 class as the experimental group and X IPA 2 class as the control group selected by saturated sampling technique. Learning achievement test, observation sheet and interview guidelines were used to collect data. Based on final questionnaire and posttest data analysis using the Independent Sample t-test (α = 5%), Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) were 0.002<0.05. This indicated that there were a difference between learning achievement of students taught using guided discovery learning and conventional learning model. Guided discovery learning model gave 31.33% effect toward student learning achievement.  Key words: Guided discovery learning, Learning achievement, Electrolyte and nonelecrtrolyte solutions.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine how much influence the learning of using textbooks with constructivist and multirepresentative approaches to student learning  outcomes in the material of ionic bonds and covalent bonds. The population of this study was all students of academic class. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling. Data collection techniques used are measurement techniques and direct communication techniques. The assessment instrument used was the learning achievement test. The sample used in this study was class XA as a control class and class XB as an experimental class. The design used in this study is the control group pretest-posttest design. Assumed the data come from the same variance. Based on the t-independent test, a sig value of 0,000 (<0.05) was obtained, meaning that there were differences in learning outcomes between the control class and the experimental class. Differences in learning outcomes between control class students and experimental class students who are given learning by using textbooks with constructivist and multirepresentative approaches. The effect of learning using books with a constructivist and multi-representation approach. gives an effect of 76% on learning outcomes in the material of ionic bonds and covalent bonds of class X students of SMA 2 AMBAWANG.Keywords: Constructivist and Multi-Representation Textbook Media

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya perbedaan nilai praktikum yang signifikan antara mahasiswa reguler dengan PAPK dan tidak ada penilaian psikomotorik yang dilakukan ketika praktikum di laboratorium. Adanya  penilaian psikomotorik tersebut dapat mengevaluasi kemampuan psikomotorik mahasiswa reguler dan PAPK. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan dan mengkomparasikan kemampuan psikomotorik mahasiswa reguler maupun PAPK dalam percobaan titrasi asam basa. Sampel yang dipilih berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling dengan total sampel 48 orang mahasiswa. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Alat pengumpul data adalah lembar observasi dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan rata-rata kemampuan psikomotorik mahasiswa di kelas Reguler sebesar 83% dengan kategori sangat baik, sedangkan rata-rata kemampuan psikomotorik mahasiswa dikelas PAPK sebesar 76% dengan kategori baik. Berdasarkan uji beda menggunakan U-Mann Whitney, tidak terdapat perbedaan antara kemampuan psikomotorik mahasiswa reguler dengan mahasiswa PAPK pada percobaan titrasi asam basa. Kata kunci: Kemampuan Psikomotorik, Komparasi, Reguler, PAPK, Titrasi Asam Basa   Abstract: This research was motivated by the significant difference between practical value of the regular students and PAPK students and also no assessment of psychomotor done when laboratory experiments. The psychomotor assessment can evaluate their psychomotor abilities. The purpose of this research is to describe and to compare psychomotor abilities between regular students and PAPK students in acid-base titration experiment. Samples were selected based on purposive sampling with total sample of 48 students. Forms of research is descriptive. Data collector is a sheet of observation and interview guides. The results of data analysis showed an average of psychomotor abilities of students in the Regular class equal to 83% in very good category, while the average of psychomotor abilities students in PAPK class equal to 76% in good category. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil keterampilan kerja ilmiah siswa kelas XI IPA sebelum dan setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing serta menentukan perbedaan keterampilan kerja ilmiah siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 3 Sintang pada materi titrasi asam basa sebelum dan sesudah diterapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian one grup pretest-posttest. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 3 Sintang tahun ajaran 2015/2016 dengan penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik pengukuran dan teknik komunikasi langsung, alat pengumpul data yang digunakan berupa pedoman wawancara dan instrumen berupa tes keterampilan kerja ilmiah. Setelah dilakukan olah data, hasil pretest menunjukan bahwa keterampilan kerja ilmiah siswa secara berturut-turut sebesar 44,4%, 36,1% % dan 2,8% pada kategori kurang terampil, terampil dan sangat terampil sedangkan hasil posttest menunjukan bahwa keterampilan kerja ilmiah siswa secara  berturut-turut  sebesar 61,1% % dan 38,9% berada pada kategori terampil  dan  sangat  terampil. Hasil uji Wilcoxon menunjukan terdapat perbedaan keterampilan kerja ilmiah sebelum dan setelah pembelajaran.   Kata kunci: keterampilan kerja ilmiah, inkuiri terbimbing, titrasi asam basa   Abstract: The aims of the study were  to describe the profile of scientific work skills of students before and after the guided inquiry learning model is applied to the material acid-base titration as well as different scientific working skills of students XI IPA SMA Negeri 3 Sintang students before and after the guided inquiry learning model is applied to the material acid-base titration. Pre-experiment with one grup pretest-posttest was used as study method. Students of XI IPA 1 academic year 2015/2016 participated in the study were selected by purposive sampling. Data were collected through measurement and direct comunication technics using interview guideline and scientific work skills test. After being given training with guided inqury learning model, an increase in the skills of scientific work that are by 44,4%, 36,1% % dan 2,8% in the category of less skilled, and unskilled respectively while the results show that the 2 posttest scientific work skills of students that are skilled in a row amounted to 61,1% dan 38,9% in the category of skilled and highly. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan kerja ilmiah siswa XI IPA 1 Sanggau pada materi indikator asam basa menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-eksperimen design dengan rancangan One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Penentuan sampel penelitian menggunakan purposive sampling dan diperoleh kelas XI IPA 1 yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Keterampilan kerja ilmiah siswa pada kategori tidak terampil, kurang terampil, terampil dan sangat terampil sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pembelajaran model inkuiri terbimbing berturut-turut sebesar 9,4% ; 75,% ; 15.6% ; 0% menjadi 0% ; 0% ; 40.6% ; 59.4%. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan keterampilan kerja ilmiah siswa sebelum dan setelah digunakan model ppembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing.   Kata kunci: keterampilan kerja ilmiah, inkuiri terbimbing, indikator asam basa Abstract: The purpose of this research is to describe the scientific work skills of students in class XI IPA SMAN 1 Sanggau materials Acid-Base Indicator used model of guided inquiry learning. Abstract

AbstractResearch on the development of practical guideline based on science, environment, technology and society with the aim of adding teaching material products in the form of practical instructions. Practical guideline developed are appropriate to be used by determining the response of students and teachers to the product practicum instructions developer. the form of research used was a development research that adopted the Kemp device development model. The subject of this study was the seventh grade students with high, medium, and low ability as well as science teachers in junior high school 24 Pontianak. Data collection instruments ada used feasibility assessment, student respons questionaire and teacher respons questionaire. The results of data processing show that the practical guideline developed are suitable for use in learning. Results of assessment of content feasibility, presentation feasibility, language feasibility and graphical feasibility of 93%; 92.6%; 93.5% and 92.4% with very high criteria.The result of the student respons test and teacher respons to the total student achievement Products were 77,7% and 83,33% with high kriteria.Kata kunci: practical guideline, SETS based, mixed separation, feasibility
