Abstract

AbstractThis research was conducted to determine  whether there was a difference in self-confidence and understanding of the concept of tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Tekarang who were given immediate feedback and the student who were given conventional methods on stoichiometric material, and also to know how much immediate feedback influences the conceptual understanding of  tenth grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Tekarang on stoichiometry material. The research method used was quasy-experiment, with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sampling used was saturated sampling techniques with  class X MIA 2 as experimental class students and class X MIA 1 as control class students. Self-confidence questionnaire, understanding concept test, observation sheet and interview guidelines were used to collect data. The results analysis of  final questionnaire and posttest data  using  SPSS 17 for windows with the Mann Whitney U-test obtained Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) values of 0.004 and 0.000 respectively, this indicated that there was a difference self-confidence and understanding of concepts of the students who were given immediate feedback and the student who were given conventional methods on stoichiometric material. The amount of influence given by immediate feedback on students conceptual understanding  was 70.7% with a high category. Keywords: Immediate Feedback, Self-Confidence, Conceptual Understanding,   Stoichiometry.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan prestasi belajar mata pelajaran PIK antara siswa yang diberi pembelajaran block system dengan siswa yang diberi pembelajaran sistem harian dan mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh pembelajaran block system terhadap prestasi belajar mata pelajaran PIK siswa kelas XI SMTI Pontianak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Quasy Experimental. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 68 siswa terdiri dari 35 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 33 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol, dengan penentuan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Independent Sample T-Test. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan prestasi belajar mata pelajaran PIK antara siswa yang diberi pembelajaran block system dengan siswa yang diberi pembelajaran sistem harian dan besar pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran block system terhadap peningkatan prestasi belajar sebesar 28,23%. Kata kunci: Pembelajaran Block System, Prestasi Belajar, Proses Industri Kimia (PIK)   Abstract: This research aims to determine differences of learning achievement of CIP subject between students who are given block system learning with students who are given daily system learning and determine how much influence of block system learning to learning achievement of CIP subject student of eleventh grade of SMTI Pontianak. The research method that used is quantitative method. This type of research is Quasy Experimental Design. This research samples are 68 students that consist of 35 students as an experimental class and 33 students as control class, with sampling use cluster random sampling. Data analysis technique that used is Independent Sample T-Test. The results of data analysis show that there are differences of learning achievement of CIP subject between students who are given block system learning with students who are given daily system learning and the big influence of application of block system learning on improvement of learning achievement is 28.23%. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan serta menentukan perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pembelajaran model inkuiri terbimbing pada siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 2 Sanggau materi Indikator Asam-Basa. Penelitian ini berbentuk pre-experimental design dengan rancangan penelitian berupa One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 1 berjumlah 31 siswa yang dipilih berdasarkan teknik Purposive Sampling. Peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing, siswa berada pada kategori tidak terampil, kurang terampil, terampil dan sangat terampil dengan hasil berturut-turut  3,22% ; 77,42% ; 19,35% dan 0%  menjadi 0% ; 9,67% ; 90,32% ; 0%. Dari hasil uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan adanya perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa sesudah lebih baik daripada sebelum menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing.   Kata kunci: keterampilan, berpikir kritis, inkuiri terbimbing, indikator asam-basa.  Abstract: This research aims to describe and define the differences critical thinking skills of students before and after the model of guided inquiry learning in class XI IPA SMAN 2 Sanggau materials Acid-Base Indicator. This research based on pre-experimental design with One-group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this research consist of 31 students in XI IPA 1 class based on purposive sampling technique. Improved critical thinking skills of students before and after guided inquiry learning, students are in the category of unskilled, less skilled, skilled and highly skilled with consecutive results of 3.22%; 77.42%; 19.35% and 0% to 0%; 9.67%; 90.32%; 0%. Results of the Wilcoxon test showed a difference of critical thinking skills. It can be concluded that the critical thinking skills of students after better than before using guided inquiry learning model.   Keywords: skills, critical thinking, guided inquiry, acid-base indicator.

Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan keterampilan membuat hipotesis antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran induktif dengan model pembelajaran konvensional dan besarnya pengaruh model induktif terhadap keterampilan membuat hipotesis siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Rasau Jaya. Sampel dipilih berdasarkan teknik sampling jenuh yaitu kelas XI IPA1 sebagai kelas kontrol dan XI IPA2 sebagai kelas eksperimen.Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan rancangan yang digunakan adalah non-ekuivalen grup pretes-postes.Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan yaitu tes keterampilan membuat hipotesis berbentuk esay.Berdasarkan hasil analisis data tes menggunakan U Mann Whitney diperoleh perbedaan keterampilan membuat hipotesis siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran induktif dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Berdasarkan perhitungan effect size dapat diketahui bahwa model induktif memberikan pengaruh sebesar 33,89% terhadap keterampilan membuat hipotesis siswa pada materi indikator asam basa kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Rasau Jaya. Kata kunci : Model Induktif, Keterampilan Membuat Hipotesis, Asam dan Basa Abstract :This research purpose to determine the differences between the students make hypothesis skills that is taught through a model of  inductive learning and taught through convensional learning models and the amount of the influence of model inductive learning to the students make hypothesis skills of class XI Natural Sciences in SMAN 1 Rasau Jaya. Samples were selected based on saturated sampling techniques, class XI Natural Sciences 1 as the control class and class XI Natural Sciences 2 as an experimental class. Form of research that has been used in this study is quasi-experimental with nonequivalent group pretest-posttest research design. The tool of data collection that was used in this research is a test of make hypothesis skill in essay form. Based on the data analysis of test result by using U Mann Whitney test was obtained differences in make hypothesis skill on the material acid and base  between students who were taught through the model of inductive and taught through convensional model. The calculation of Effect Size can determineof inductive model by 33,89% giving effect to the increasing of students make hypothesis skill on the material acid and base in the class XI Natural Sciences in SMAN 1 Rasau Jaya. Abstract

Abstract This research is based on the importance of critical thinking skills in the teaching and learning of Chemistry. The purpose of this research is to describe the critical thinking skills possessed by the students of Chemistry Education of Teachers Training and Education Faculty of Tanjungpura University. The subject of this research is the sixth semester students of Chemistry Education of Teachers Training and Education Faculty of Tanjungpura University. The type of this research is descriptive research and it applies survey method. The research instrument is critical thinking test skills of Watson Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal. The result of the critical thinking skills is as follows: that 37.5% students is able to analyze the arguments at the advanced level; 50% students is able to interpret the information at the advanced level; 56.25% students is able to evaluate the assumption at the advanced level; 68.75% students is able to conduct the generalization at the advanced level; and 62.5% students is able to draw a conclusion at the advanced level. It means the critical thinking skills of the sixth semester students of Chemistry Education of Teachers Training and Education Faculty of Tanjungpura University at the advanced level. Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to determine the differences in learning outcomes of students who use the cooperative learning model Numbered Head Together (NHT) assisted by practicum with students who use conventional learning models on the material of salt hydrolysis class XI SMA Bina Utama Pontianak and determine the influence of type cooperative learning model NHT assisted by practicum towards student learning outcomes in salt hydrolysis material class XI SMA Bina Utama Pontianak. The form of the research used was quasi experiment with the design of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sampling technique in this study was a saturated sample consisting of two classes namely class XI IPA 1 as the experimental class and XI IPA 2 as the control class. Data collection technique in this study was measurement technique. The data collection tool used was a test of learning outcome. The results showed that the learning outcomes of the experimental class with the control class with the sig. value 0,000 <0,05 meant that there were differences in learning outcomes between those using conventional learning and those using NHT cooperative learning models with practical assistance. The NHT type of cooperative learning model with practicum assistance gave an effect of 45.99% on student learning outcomes in class XI salt hydrolysis material SMA Bina Utama Pontianak. Keywords:   Learning Outcomes, NHT, Practicum, Salt Hydrolysis

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan keterampilan proses sains siswa sebelum dan sesudah diberi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model inkuiri terbimbing serta seberapa besar pengaruh model inkuiri terbimbing terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 3 Singkawang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental design dengan rancangan one-group pretest-posttest design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 2 dengan penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah tes keterampilan proses sains berbentuk esai dan pedoman wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil olahan data terhadap hasil pretest dan posttest dengan menggunakan uji Wilcoxon, diperoleh Asymp.Sig(2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 (kurang dari 0,05) sehingga Ho ditolak, menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan keterampilan proses sains siswa sebelum dan sesudah diberi pembelajaran deng model inkuiri terbimbing. Hasil dari perhitungan Effect Size (ES) diperoleh nilai sebesar 2,12 yang menunjukkan penggunaan model inkuiri terbimbing memberikan pengaruh sebesar 48,30% terhadap peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa.   Kata kunci: pengaruh, inkuiri terbimbing, keterampilan proses sains.   Abstract: This research aims to determine the difference science process skills of students before and after learning by using of guided inquiry model and how much influence guided inquiry model of the science process skills class XI SMA Negeri 3 Singkawang. The method used is pre-experimental design with the design of one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study were students of class XI IPA 2 that was determined by random sampling techniques. Data collection tool that used is the science process skills test in the form of essays and interview guidelines. Based on the results of data processing the results of pretest and posttest by using the Wilcoxon test, obtained Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05 (less than 0.05) so that Ho is rejected, which shows there is differences in science process skills of students before and after learning by using of guided inquiry model. The results of calculation of Effect Size (ES) obtained value of 2.12, that showed guided inquiry model provided the effect of 48.30% on improving students' science process skills.   Keywords: influence, guided inquiry, science process skills

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar, minat membaca, dan persentase kegiatan saintifik siswa melalui penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbantuan komik pada materi koloid kelas XI IPA SMA Wisuda Pontianak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-eksperimen dengan rancangan one group pretest-posttest. Tes hasil belajar, angket minat membaca, dan lembar observasi digunakan sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Subjek yang terlibat berjumlah 11 orang yang diambil menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Hasil uji Wilcoxon pada tes hasil belajar menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar sebelum dan setelah pembelajaran dengan nilai Asymp.Sig.(2-tailed) sebesar 0,003. Hasil uji Paired Sample T-Test pada angket minat membaca menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan minat membaca sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran dengan nilai Asymp.Sig.(2-tailed) sebesar 0,011. Persentase kegiatan saintifik siswa di kelas yaitu kegiatan mengamati, menanya, mengumpulkan informasi, mengolah informasi, dan menyimpulkan berturut-turut sebesar 100%, 45,4%, 87,8%, 43,1%, dan 68,1%. Kata kunci: hasil belajar, minat membaca, saintifik, komik   Abstract: The purpose of this research aimed to know the differences of students’ study achievement, reading interest, and scientific activities percentage through application of scientific approach assisted with comic on colloid material in XIth Grade Science Class of SMA Wisuda Pontianak. This research used pre-experimental method with one-group pretest-posttest design. Study achievement test, reading interest questionnaire, and observation sheet were used as data collection tools. Involved subject consist of 11 people which was taken with saturated sampling technique. Wilcoxon Test on study achievement test resulted there was difference on students’ study achievement before and after learning with Asymp.Sig.(2-tailed) score of 0,003. Paired Sample T-Test on reading interest questionnaire resulted there wasn’t difference on students’ reading interest before and after learning with Asymp.Sig.(2-tailed) score of 0,011. Students’ scientific activities in class i.e. observing activity, asking activity, collecting information activity, associating activity, and concluding activity respectively were 100%, 45,4%, 87,8%, 43,1%, and 68,1%. Abstract

AbstrakThe purpose of the research is to find out and to describe the students? skills of SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Ambawang in planning, arranging schedule and presenting the  water purifier products, as well as to find out whether the water which is produced has met the criteria of odorless, colorless, tasteless and unclouded. This research use pre-experiment method with one shot case study design. The technique of data collecting which being used is direct observation technique by using group skill sheet and direct communication through interview. The population of this research is class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Ambawang. Since the sample is homogenous, the research sampling is determined by using random sampling and it is obtained that class XI IPA 1 which consist of 30 students has been chosen as the sample of the research. The result of the analysis shows that the students? skill on making plan and arranging schedule is on very good category, meanwhile the students? skill on presenting the product is on enough category. The analysis also finds out that 33,33 % of the water which was produced by the water purification has been fulfilled the quality of clean water..Keyword:Project Method, Water purification, colloid

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil keterampilan kerja ilmiah sebelum dan setelah pembelajaran serta mengetahui perbedaan keterampilan kerja ilmiah siswa kelas XI IPA 1 SMAN 1 Belimbing Kabupaten Melawi sebelum dan setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-experiment design dengan rancangan One-Group Pretest-Postest. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik pengukuran menggunakan pretest-postest dan wawancara. Penentuan sampel dalam penelitian dengan purposive sampling. Hasil persentase keterampilan kerja ilmiah siswa sebelum pembelajaran sebagai berikut pada kategori tidak terampil 4,16%,  kurang terampil 79%, terampil 16,66% dan sangat terampil 0%. Setelah pembelajaran sebagai berikut kategori tidak terampil 0%, kurang terampil 25%, terampil 45,66%, sangat terampil 33,33%. Hasil analisis data pada uji t berpasangan menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan keterampilan kerja ilmiah siswa sebelum dan setelah pembelajaran. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa keterampilan kerja ilmiah siswa lebih baik setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing.   Kata kunci: Keterampilan kerja ilmiah, model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing, larutan garam. Abstract: The purpose of this reseach are to investigate the scientific work skill profile of students before and after treatment and to investigate the difference of students scientific work skill to Year-11 Science Students Class 1 SMAN 1 Belimbing, Melawi Regency, before and after using guided inquiry study to aqueous solution of salts material.  This reseach was conducted using Pre-experimental study with One-Group Pretest-Postest design. The research technique of data collecting is a measurement technique using pretest-posttest and interview. The sample of the research was taken by purposive sampling.  The result percentage of scientific work skill before treatment in catagory low in scientific skill is 4,16%, sufficient low in scientific skill is 79% and good low in scientific skill is 16,66% and excellent low in scientific skill is 0%. After treatment in catagory  in catagory low in scientific skill is 0%, sufficient low in scientific skill is 25% and good low in scientific skill is 45,66% and excellent low in scientific skill is 33,33%. The result of data analysis of t-test, showing that there was the difference of students scientific work skill before and after using guided inquiry study. It means that, scientific work skill students is better after applying guided inquiry study. Keyword: scientific work skill, guided inquiry study, aqueous solution of salts
