Abstract

Field Experience Practice (PPL) or teaching practice is one of the courses that must be followed by every teacher student, including Islamic Religious Education students. The teaching practice program is organized so that students can practice the theory gained during lectures so that they acquire special skills in accordance with their expertise in the teaching profession. Teaching Practice Activities of PAI Students Through Active Learning Methods at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Tholabuddin Masin. Activities in this service use the Applied Research method. In the teaching practice carried out by students of UIN KH. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan at MTs. Tholabuddin uses a student-centered approach that focuses on students. And the method used is active learning. Some of the methods or strategies used include: throwing puzzles, Team Games Tournament, Domino SKI, and Short Cards.

Abstract

Prancak 95 is one of the most prominent tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.) varieties in Indonesia, originating from Prancak Village, Madura. Among the essential nutrients required for tobacco growth, nitrogen plays a crucial role in supporting vegetative and reproductive development. Although atmospheric nitrogen is abundant, constituting approximately 78% of the air, it is unavailable to plants in its diatomic form (N2). One sustainable approach to increasing nitrogen availability in soil is through the activity of non-symbiotic nitrogen-fixing bacteria (NFB), which convert atmospheric nitrogen into plant-accessible forms. This study aimed to isolate and identify non-symbiotic NFB from Prancak 95 tobacco farmland soils, in order to assess their population density, nitrogen-fixing potential, and taxonomic affiliation. Soil samples were collected from two locations in Prancak Village: West Tegal and Bilamabuk hamlets. Bacterial isolation was carried out using the pour plate method on Yeast Extract Mannitol Agar (YEMA) medium, followed by incubation at 37°C for 3 days. Pure bacterial isolates were subjected to macroscopic, microscopic, and biochemical characterisation based on Bergey's Manual of Determinative Bacteriology. Nitrogen-fixation potential was assessed by measuring the clear zone diameter on YEMA medium supplemented with Congo red, and the clear zone ratio was used as an indicator of nitrogenase activity. The results showed that the average non-symbiotic NFB population in West Tegal was 3.25 × 105 CFU.g-1, while in Bilamabuk it was 2.7 × 105 CFU.g-1. A total of six bacterial isolates were selected for further study. All isolates demonstrated nitrogen-fixing potential, with clear zone ratios ranging from 1.26 to 2.60 cm. Based on morphological, microscopic, and biochemical analyses, isolates coded PT2, PB1, and PB3 were identified as belonging to the genus Bacillus, while isolates PT1, PT3, and PB2 were tentatively identified as members of the genus Corynebacterium.

Abstract

Writing remains a significant challenge for EFL students, and the use of instructional media is a recognized strategy to address this issue. This study investigated the efficacy of cue cards in improving the writing skills of tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 2 Palu. Employing a quasi-experimental design, the study utilized a population of 366 students, with a sample of 63 students selected through purposive sampling: 31 students in class X-I (experimental group) and 32 students in class X-J (control group). The research instrument was a writing test focused on descriptive text. Because the data were not normally distributed, a non-parametric Mann-Whitney U test was applied using SPSS. The results revealed a post-test p-value of 0.001, which is significantly lower than the 0.05 alpha level. This indicates a statistically significant difference between the two groups following the treatment, confirming that cue card media effectively improves EFL students’ writing skills. Consequently, this media is recommended as a valuable tool for enhancing classroom instruction.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether the use of Clustering Technique can improve the writing achievement of class VIII students at SMP Bala Keselamatan Kalawara. This research used a quasi-experimental design by applying nonequivalent control group design. The population was class VIII students at SMP Bala Keselamatan Kalawara, consisting 37 students from two classes. The sample was class A as the experimental group and class B as the control group. Sample selection was carried out using saturated sampling. Tests were used to collect data consisting of pre-test and post-test. The tests result show that the average pre-test score obtained by the experimental group is 43.86, while the pre-test score obtained by the control group is 46.91. Then, the average post-test score for the experimental group is 69.00, while the control group is 54.94; the t-counted value (5.52) was higher than t-table value (1.690), which means that the hypothesis was accepted.
