Abstract

This article is about project-based learning is a learning model that is used to enable the students. Project-based learning is learning that engages students directly in the learning process by providing a task or project to be done in groups which will produce a real product. A learning process in which students actively construct knowledge by means of constantly acquiring new information. Project based learning is an innovative learning model and a greater emphasis on contextual learning through complex activities that provide opportunities for students, working individually or in groups, and in touch with the real world. Implementation of project-based learning that can either provide capabilities that are beneficial to the students. The success of project-based learning occurs when students get motivated, active students in learning, and produce high quality work.

Abstract

Abstract

One of the demands of the 2013 curriculum is that learning must be integrated with the training of students' skills in higher-order thinking or HOTS. The ability of HOTS helps students not only know and understand a knowledge but is able to find the connectedness of information knowledge, involves the process of finding the concept of knowledge and applying knowledge to face a number of problems. The research was conducted at SD Negeri 040460 Berastagi in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 school year with theme 1: Animal and Human Motion Organs with sub theme 2: Human and Environment on Indonesian content. Based on the results of research and discussion, that the validity of the product seen from the design validator with the two validation system obtained very valid results with an average score of 84.61%. Likewise the results of the validators from the material experts who obtained an average score of 88.88 and were declared very valid with a two-time validation system. The conclusion of the linguist stated that the assessment of the design of LKPD language presentation based on high level thinking skills was in the very valid category with an average of 82.95%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know about: (1) feasibility of flash interactive learning media used by English teachers in speaking skills of grade X at SMA Negeri 16 Medan of Academic Year 2019/2020; and (2) the effectiveness of flash interactive learning media in improving English speaking skills of grade X at SMA Negeri 16 Medan of Academic Year 2019/2020. The research method is the Bord and Gall development model with the learning design of the Dick and Carey Model, consisting of 2 stages: (1) Stage I, namely: conducting preliminary research, making software design, collecting materials, making and producing products, product field testing, and product effectiveness test; and (2) Stage II, product effectiveness test by: normality test, linearity test, hypothesis test, and calculating the value of media effectiveness. Subjects consisted of 64 students of grade X. For the development of products using 2 experts of instructional design, 2 materials experts, 2 software experts, 3 students tested one by one, and 9 small groups classes students. Limited field test shows: (1) the average percentage of the results of the assessment of English-speaking skills by material experts is 79.7%; (2) the average percentage of English-speaking skills assessment results by learning design experts is 86%; and (3) the average percentage of English-speaking skills assessment results by software experts is 80.1%. The results were obtained tcount > ttable (11.315 > 1.69), which concluded that Ho refused and Ha is received, so that it can be stated that there are significant and significant differences between the English-speaking skills of students taught using interactive learning media (82,969) and the average English-speaking skills of students taught using conventional learning media (62,594) can be accepted and tested for truth.
