Leptospirosis is a zoonotic disease, which is caused by Leptospira interrogans. The incidence of leptospirosis in dogs varies according to region and season, and is considered as emerging infectious diseases in humans. Clinical symptoms of leptospirosis in dogs vary greatly, some dogs are asymptomatic, with mild symptoms, and others progress to severe illness until death. The study aims to determine cases of canine leptospirosis in Yogyakarta, and identify the serovar that infect them. A total of 20 dogs without symptoms, with mild symptoms, to severe symptoms of leptospirosis were collected their serum and further tested using Microscopic Agglutination Test (MAT) conducted at the Center for Veterinary Research (BBLitvet) Bogor. History of vaccination is recorded as a consideration in interpreting the MAT results. The results showed that three out of the 20 samples were positive leptospirosis. Of the three positive samples, one was identified as serovar bataviae, another one as serovar bataviae and tarrasovi, and the last as serovar bataviae, tarrasovi, ichterohaemorrhagiae, canicola, celledoni, pyrogenes, cynopteri, and rachmati, respectively. The three dogs with leptospirosis showed similar clinical symptoms i.e. Anorexia, lethargy, and fever. It can be concluded that there are cases of canine leptospirosis in Yogyakarta which is predominantly caused by Leptospira interrogans serovar bataviae. ABSTRAK Leptospirosis adalah penyakit zoonosis, yang disebabkan oleh Leptospira interrogans. Kejadian leptospirosis pada anjing bervariasi menurut wilayah dan musim, dan dianggap sebagai penyakit menular yang muncul pada manusia. Gejala klinis leptospirosis pada anjing sangat bervariasi, beberapa anjing tanpa menunjukkan gejala, dengan gejala ringan, dan yang lain melanjut menjadi penyakit yang parah sampai kematian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kasus leptospirosis pada anjing di Propinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, dan mengidentifikasi serovar yang menginfeksinya. Sebanyak 20 ekor anjing tanpa gejala, dengan gejala ringan, sampai gejala parah leptospirosis diambil serumnya guna pemeriksaan Microscopic Agglutination Test (MAT) yang dilaksanakan di Balai Besar Penelitian Veteriner (BBLitvet), Bogor. Sejarah vaksinasi dicatat sebagai bahan pertimbangan dalam menginterpretasi hasil pemeriksaan MAT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tiga dari 20 sampel positif leptospirosis. Satu sampel positif terhadap serovar Bataviae, satu sampel positif terhadap serovar Bataviae dan Tarrasovi, dan satu sampel lagi positif terhadap serovar Bataviae, Tarrasovi, Ichterohaemorrhagiae, Canicola, Celledoni, Pyrogenes, Cynopteri, dan Rachmati. Anjing yang positif leptospirosis menunjukkan gejala klinis yang sama berupa anoreksia, kelemahan, dan demam. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat kasus leptospirosis pada anjing di Yogyakarta yang penyebabnya dominan oleh Leptospira interrogans serovar Bataviae.

Jembrana disease is an infectious disease in Bali cattle cause by a member of lentivirus calledjembrana disease virus (JDV). It causes an acute and severe disease syndrome with short incubationperiod. As the disease has spread to several areas in Indonesia, a simple and rapid detection method isrequired. The objective of this study to apply rapid diagnostic method for JDVTabanan 1995 strain basedon Nucleic Acid Sequence Based Amplification (NASBA) methods targeting env-tm gene. The steps of thisresearch consisted of viral RNA isolation from organ and blood of cattle experimentaly infected withJDVTabanan 1995 strain . RNA amplification was conducted by NASBA using waterbath. The NASBAproducts were then separated on 2 % agarose gel. Using this technique JDV positive result was obtainedfrom organ samples such as spleen, liver, lung, prefemoralis lymph node, prescapularis lymph node andblood generating a RNA fragment of 207 bp. In this study, diagnosis method for env tm of JDV Tabanan1995 strain can be conducted by isothermal amplification NASBA.

TITLE : RATIO OF PAITAN (TITHONIA DIVERSIFOLIA) AND THE PHONSKA FERTILIZER ON CHROMIUM HEAVY METAL CONTENT IN THE RICE FIELDS. The purposes of this research are to determine the influence of Paitan (Tithonia diversifolia) and the Phonska Fertilizer on Chromium (Cr) Content in soil at rice fields; and the correlation between Cr and rice yield. This research was conducted in Kebakkramat District, Karanganyar Regency. The experiment was arranged using Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD), with 6 (six) treatments included: T0 : control (without Paitan nor fertilizer), T1: Phonska 100% (360 kg/ha), T2 : Paitan 100% (11,66 ton/ha), T3: 75% Phonska + 25% Paitan, T4 : 50% Phonska + 50% Paitan, T5 : 25% Phonska +75% paitan. with 4 replications. The observed variables are soil Cr availability, dry biomass, and the weight of 1000 seeds, The data was analyzed using the F test of 1% and 5% levels, and DMRT was employed to investigate the interaction of each treatment. The Pearson’s correlation test was used to investigate the correlation between variables. The results showed that application of paitan (Tithonia diversifolia) and Phonska gave no significant effect to the Cr level. There was no significant correlation between Cr level and the yield of rice.

Title : The Effect of Leucite Grain and Nitric Acid Concentration on Potassium Availability of Bengawan Solo Entisols with Peanuts as Plant Indicator (Arachis hypogaea. L). Research in the Glass House of Agriculture Faculty of Sebelas Maret University have been made to study the effect of Leucite grain and nitric acid concentration against availability of potassium from Bengawan Solo Entisols made in April – September 2006. This research is a causal relationship functional research; the approach is done with variables factorial experiment using Complete Random Design (CRD) with 2 factors and 3 times repeated. First factor is adding the Leucite grain (L) consist of 4 stage, that is L0 (without Leucite), L1 (using 5 mesh of Leucite grain), L2 (using 30 mesh of Leucite grain) and L3 (using 80 mesh size of Leucite grain). Second is adding acid concentration of nitrate (M), consists of 4 stage that is M0 (without nitric acid), M1 (adding 0.1M of nitric acid), M2 (adding 0.2M of nitric acid), and M3 (adding 0,3M of nitric acid). The first shaken with second factor for 24 hours before applied to soil. Analysis of data is using Analysis of Variance and Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. Results of research shows the high K dissolved value on the acid concentration of nitrate with 10-1M after the first 24 hours shaking between the two factors, with soluble K value 172.52 cmol/kg of L1M1 addition, 120.48 cmol/kg of L2M1 addition, and 188.13 cmol/kg of L3M1 addition. Adding Leucite grain and nitric acid concentrations have lower soil available K value at the time of incubation with a value that is lower than 0.30 cmol / kg (L0M0 – control of treatment). In stage of maximum vegetative, the additions of two factors have to increase the value of average soil available K was 0.30 cmol/kg on the L3M2. Title : The Effect of Cow Manure with Biodecompocer and Inorganic Fertility to Efficiency of K Absorption and Yield of Paddy (Oryza sativa L.) on Paddy Field Palur Sukoharjo. This research was conducted from January–August 2008 in paddy field, Palur Sukoharjo. The aim of this research were to know the effect of cow manure with Biodecompocer and inorganic fertilizer to K uptake efficiency and the rice yield (Oryza sativa L.) in paddy field Palur Sukoharjo. This research used Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) with two factors. The first factor was dosage cow manure consist of 7 levels i.e.: B0 (no cow manure), B1 (2.5 t.ha-1cow manure), B2 (5 t.ha-1 cow manure), B3 (2.5 t.ha-1 +stardec), B4 (5 t.ha-1+stardec), B5 (2.5 t.ha-1 +earthworm), B6 (5 t.ha-1 +earthworm). The second factor was Inorganic fertilizer consist of 3 levels i.e.: (without inorganic fertilizer) A0; (Urea 150 kg.ha-1, ZA 50 kg.ha-1, SP36 dosage 75 kg.ha-1 and KCl 50 kg.ha-1) A1; and (Urea 300 kg.ha-1, ZA 100 kg.ha-1, SP36 150 kg.ha-1 and KCl 100 kg.ha-1) A2. Data was analyzed with F-tested level 1% and 5% or Kruskal Wallis test, and continued with Duncan Multiple Range Test 5% (DMRT 5%) or mood median, and correlation test to know relation between observation variable. The result of this research shows that the highest efficiency of K uptake was achieved at 2.5 t.ha-1 cow manure+stardec and Urea 300 kg.ha-1, ZA 100 kg.ha-1 , SP36 150 kg.ha-1 and KCl 100 kg.ha-1 its 4.67%. The highest weight of 1,000 seed was achieved at 5 t.ha-1 cow manure+earthworm and without inorganic fertilizer its 28.79 gr. The highest weight of dry yield rice was achieved (GKG) at 5 t.ha-1 cow manure+stardec and Urea 150 kg.ha-1, ZA 50 kg.ha-1, SP36 75 kg.ha-1 and KCl 50 kg.ha-1) its 11.5 kg.18 m -2 6.39 t.ha-1. TITLE : VERTISOLS N-MINERAL DYNAMICS IN SEVERAL LITTER QUALITY COMBINATION AND N-SWEET MAIZE UPTAKE. Problems are often found on farms in humid tropics that lack of balancing between number and availability of nutrients. The imbalance will lead to nutrients leaching, especially NO3- to the bottom layer. NO3- is the result of oxidation of NH4+ through a process called nitrification, hence it is important to control over the process as it. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of litter quality Trimmings (based on the content of polyphenols and lignin) to the dynamics of N-NH4+ and N-NO3- land. This study is a field experimental with basic use Completely Group Randomized Design. The first factor is addition of Chromolaena odorata litter which represent high quality (lignin content 4.27 %, 17.12 % polyphenols), Tectona grandis litter representing low quality (lignin content of 14.54, 11.92 % polyphenols), and litter mixtures (Chromolaena odorata+Tectona grandis). The second factor dose of 5 Mg/ha, 12.5 Mg/ha, 20 Mg/ha. Analysis of the data using the F test, if the results of analysis of variance is significant, it forward to Duncan Test at α level = 0.05. Peningkatan Aktivitas Belajar dan Keterampilan Menyusun Teks Cerita Inspiratif dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia Melalui Discovery Learning pada Siswa Kelas IXB Semester 2 SMP Negeri 1 Teras Sri Hartati

Tujuan penelitian, mendeskripsikan peningkatan aktivitas dan keterampilan menyusun teks cerita inspiratif dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia pada siswa kelas IXB di SMP Negeri 1 Teras Boyolali tahun 2019/2020. Subjek penelitian, siswa kelas IXB sebanyak 30 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data dengan observasi, catatan lapangan, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen dalam penelitian tindakan kelas dua siklus. Hasil penelitian, aktivitas siswa pada prasiklus rata-rata masih rendah, siswa pasif, tidak berani bertanya atau menjawab pertanyaan. Pada siklus 1 mengalami peningkatan. Siswa lebih aktif, lebih percaya diri. Siklus II rata-rata lebih aktif, berani bertanya atau menjawab pertanyaan, lebih percaya diri. Berarti terjadi peningkatan akumulasi klasifikasi aktivitas belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia pada siklus II. Akumulasi klasifikasi penilaian keterampilan menyusun teks cerita inspiratif pada prasiklus, siklus I, dan siklus II mengalami kenaikan yang berarti. Pada prasiklus, nilai tertinggi 80, nilai terendah 40, dan nilai rata-rata kelas 60. Prestasi belajar pada siklus 1, nilai terendah 46, nilai tertinggi 86, dan nilai rata-rata 65,60. Hasil belajar siklus I masih berada dibawah KBM yaitu 68. Hasil belajar pada siklus II, nilai terendah 66, nilai rata-rata 79,13, dan nilai tertinggi 93. Pada siklus II terjadi kenaikan yang signifikan. Berarti pada siklus 2 telah berhasil dengan optimal.

Cassava is a staple food after rice and maize in Indonesia. In general, parts of cassava plants that consumed are the leaves and tubers. This research aimed to compare antioxidant activity of leaves and tuber from six types of cassava (Manihot utilissima Pohl). The leaves and tubers of the cassava plant from Cibinong were extracted with methanol separately. Methanol extract was measured the inhibition percentage as an antioxidant using DPPH reagent at 100 ppm. Results showed that Pucuk Biru leaves type has the highest inhibition at 88.09% and IC50 of 45.161 ppm.Keywords: antioxidant, Cibinong, DPPH, IC50, Manihot utilissima Pohl ABSTRAKKetela pohon merupakan bahan pangan pokok setelah beras dan jagung di Indonesia. Bagian tanaman singkong yang umumnya dikonsumsi adalah daun dan umbi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan aktivitas antioksidan daun dan umbi dari enam jenis singkong (Manihot utilissima Pohl). Daun dan umbi tanaman singkong dari Cibinong masing-masing diekstraksi secara terpisah menggunakan pelarut metanol. Ekstrak metanol yang diperoleh diukur persentase daya inhibisinya menggunakan metode peredaman radikal bebas dengan reagen DPPH pada konsentrasi 100 bpj. Hasil pengujian antioksidan menunjukkan bahwa bagian daun singkong jenis Pucuk Biru mempunyai daya inhibisi yang paling tinggi yaitu 88,09% dan IC50 sebesar 45,16 bpj. The objective of this study was to know factors thataffect the emergence of fear of public speaking of students’ English education at Universitas PGRI Palembang in terms of experiencing panic and dread, fearing at the fear itself, and negative beliefs about themselves and the audience.The method of this study was descriptive qualitative analysis.The participants of this study were 40 students of English Education at Universitas PGRI Palembang in the Academic Years of 2017/2018. The data were analyzed by checking the respond of the questionnaire and calculating the percentage analysis. Results of the study showed that those factors were experiencing panic and dread in categories feeling shame and feeling being alone, and then perceives something to be a significant danger or threat;fearing at the fear itself in categories pounding heart, trembling/shaking, lightheaded, numbness, and fear of losing control; andnegative beliefs about themselves and the audience in categories negative beliefs about themselves and the audience.
