Abstract

The implementation of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) in SMP Kabupaten Demak is suspected to have not been optimal. This study aims to evaluate the context, inputs, processes, products, and outcomes of the GLS program at SMP Kabupaten Demak. This research is evaluative research. Data were collected by interview, observation, questionnaire, and document study methods. Data analysis was carried out using an interactive model technique. The results of the context evaluation show that SMP Negeri 1 Demak has contextual aspects that support synergies with the GLS program. This has not been done optimally by SMP Negeri 1 Karangtengah and SMP PGRI 1 Demak. The input evaluation shows that SMP Negeri 1 Demak already has good input aspects, as well as SMP Negeri 1 Karangtengah is inversely proportional to SMP PGRI 1 Demak which is still lacking. The results of the process evaluation show that the program has been running well in SMP Negeri 1 Demak, SMP Negeri 1 Karangtengah and SMP 1 PGRI Demak is still not optimal. The results of the product evaluation based on the results of the KEM test concluded that SMP Negeri 1 Demak was more dominant in the medium category 111-149 Kpm (words per minute) as much as 31%, SMP 1 Karangtengah was more dominant in the slow category students 72-110 Kpm as much as 32%, and SMP PGRI 1 Demak is more dominant with students in the 72-110 Kpm slow category as much as 47%. Outcome evaluation shows that the GLS provides a change in the attitudes of students and teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the form and function of figurative language in the poetry anthology Perahu Kertas by Sapardi Djoko Damono, (2) describes the form and function of images used in the poetry anthology Perahu Kertas by Sapardi Djoko Damono, (3) describes the relationship of figurative language to images in the poetry anthology Perahu Kertas by Sapardi Djoko Damono. The analytical method used is descriptive semiotic analysis through heuristic and hermeneutic reading to reveal stylistic aspects and comparative analysis to describe the relationship between forms and functions of figurative language and imagery in the poetry anthology Perahu Kertas by Sapardi Djoko Damono.The results of the study based on data analysis showed (1) figurative language found, among others, was dominated by figure of speech and idioms with a limited number. The function of figure of speech is found, namely as the creation of aesthetic effects and comparison of meaning (2) the imagery data found is dominated by motion imagery with the function of reinforcing meaning to form imagery for the readers (3) there is a relationship between forms of figurative language and imagery in poetry anthology Perahu Kertas by Sapardi Djoko Damono.

Abstract

The use of inappropriate and less innovative teaching materials causes the learning process to be less impressive. This has an impact on the limited ability, knowledge, experience, and creativity of students. This study aimed to develop a prototype of teaching materials for writing exposition texts using the application of Lectora Inspire, which was oriented towards critical thinking skills and contained the value of deliberation. This research used Research and Development (R&D) design that using data on the needs of students and teachers for teaching materials. The results of this study were prototypes of teaching materials for writing exposition texts using the Lectora inspire application, which was oriented towards critical thinking skills and contained the value of deliberation. Prototypes of teaching materials were prepared based on the results of the analysis of data needs and the principles of developing teaching materials. The prototype of the introductory teaching materials used existing principles in the presentation and graphic aspects, namely the principles of integration, convenience, and usability. The prototype of teaching materials for the content section used existing principles in the aspects of material, presentation, critical thinking skills, and the value of deliberation, namely the principles of completeness, attractiveness, integration, convenience, and novelty. The prototype of teaching materials for the closing section used the principles in the presentation aspect, namely integration and convenience. In addition to these principles, there were other principles in the linguistic and application aspects, namely communicativeness, convenience, and novelty. These principles were used to develop an overall prototype of teaching materials.

Abstract

The existence of books in circulation related to the skills of writing persuasive texts in general still presents material on the knowledge aspect. Although there is material on the skill aspect, but its existence is not optimal to achieve learning objectives. Not only the material, but also the existence of the book must be adapted to the demands of the times and must have an impact on the personality so that students in addition to excelling in academics are also strong in character. Therefore, books are needed to deepen the material for writing persuasive texts. The purpose of the research was to compile a prototype of an enrichment book to write persuasive texts oriented to creative thinking skills with human values. The research design used Research and Development (R&D) which was carried out in three stages, namely (1) potential and problems, (2) data collection, (3) product prototype design. The results of this study was an enrichment book prototype for writing persuasive texts oriented to creative thinking skills containing human values which were arranged by paying attention to (1) material aspects that uses the principles of meaningfulness, authenticity, assessment, and functionality, (2) presentation aspects using the principle of cohesiveness, (3 ) the linguistic aspect used the communicative principle, (4) the graphic aspect used the cohesive principle, (5) the creative thinking aspect used the linked principle, and (6) the human value aspect used the linked principle. Based on these aspects, the book section consisted of (1) the book cover, (2) the beginning of the book, (3) the contents of the book, and (4) the end of the book. The benefits of the research were helping students and teachers deepen the material for writing persuasive texts.

Abstract

Social media in its use nowadays does not only just pack information, but also provides opportunities to produce information and disseminate information. Furthermore, social media users have the right to choose, determine, and create informative messages or points of view they want; social media may now be a part of human existence and has been consumed massively including Youtube which is one of the most popular social media platforms. However, it cannot be denied that the function of social media can be likened to a double-edged sword; on the one hand it can be used for big activities, but on the other hand it can be used for bad things and is detrimental to society. The problem in this research was "How is the form of hate speech in the viewers’ comments column of the YouTube channel on the topic of Puan Maharani in 2019?". The research design used a qualitative research design that was descriptive with research data using commentary data. This study used transcription techniques and note-taking techniques. The results showed that the highest number of utterances was 300 utterances containing hate speech, nine forms of hate speech were obtained. Of the nine forms of hate speech that were considered to be the style of speech that was widely used by the public in conveying comments on social media. The form of the utterance was a form of hate speech, as much as 96.67% of assertive speech acts.

Abstract

Enrichment book is a secondary handout used for a means of improving, enriching, and developing students’ knowledge and skills. Inappropriate and uninventive use of enrichment book can lead to less impressive learning process for the students. As a result, their knowledge, skill, creativity, and experience are relatively limited. This study was to develop a prototype of enrichment book on poetry text writing oriented to creative thinking skill with divine values. The design was Research and Development (R&D). The data were students’ and teachers’ need on enrichment book. The initial part of enrichment book prototype used a principle under presentation and graphics aspects, namely easiness. Meanwhile, the content part used some principles under aspects such as material, presentation, creative thinking skills and divine values, namely attractiveness, cohesiveness, novelty, and easiness. Then, the final part used two principles under presentation aspect, namely cohesiveness and easiness.

Abstract

The practice of colonialism still exists today. It looks at literary works, like the novel series Anak Nusantara. This research aims to analyze the forms of mimicry and resistance in the novel series Anak Nusantara. This research uses a postcolonialism approach. The data in this study consists of text quotations in the form of sentence fragments that show mimicry and resistance. The data source in this study is the novel series Anak Nusantara by Tere Liye. It consists of five (5) novels: Si Anak Kuat (2018) has 397 pages; Si Anak Spesial (2018) has 333 pages; Si Anak Pintar (2018) has 349 pages; Si Anak Pemberani (2018) has 424 pages; and Si Anak Cahaya (2018) has 421 pages. The five novels are recovered from the novel series Anak Mamak published by Republika. The results show the existence of mimicry and resistance. The form of mimicry in the novel is shown in the form of behavior, the use of transportation, language, and buildings. The form of resistance is shown in the form of passive resistance and radical resistance.

Abstract

Peran bahasa sangat diperlukan dalam rangka membangkitkan dan memupuk kesadaran manusia dalam menciptakan dan menegakkan hukum. Bahasa dipandang sebagai alat yang praktis dan efektif dalam memegang peranan yang penting tercipta dan terlaksananya hukum dalam suatu masyarakat. Hal demikian juga sebaliknya, hanya dengan bantuan bahasa manusia dapat dan mampu memahami serta menegakkan dan mempertahankan hukum dalam masyarakat. Perkembangan berbagai kasus hukum, baik di ranah pidana maupun perdata dirasa perlu untuk menerima sumbangsih atau kehadiran pakar bahasa sebagai tenaga ahli dalam mengungkap berbagai kasus hukum.Linguistik yang dikaitkan pada bidang forensik merupakan sebuah bidang ilmu baru dan masuk dalam linguistik terapan. Perkembangan awal linguistik forensik ditandai dengan adanya kesadaran pentingnya unsur bahasa dalamsebuah penyelidikandi kepolisian.Linguistik forensik mengaplikasikan teori-teori linguistik dalam suatu peristiwa kebahasaan yang terlibat dalam proses hukum, baik dalam bentuk produk hukum, interaksi dalam proses peradilan, dan dalam interaksi antarperorangan yang mengakibatkan timbulnya dampak hukum tertentu. Ada tiga bidang utama yang menjadi fokus kajian linguistik forensik, yaitu: (1) bahasa sebagai produk hukum; (2) bahasa dalam proses peradilan; dan (3) bahasa sebagai alat bukti.Peran bahasa dalam dunia hukum sudah menjadi hal yang sangat vital. Abstract

Peningkatan mutu pendidikan di Indonesia telah dilakukan sejak tahun 2009 oleh pemerintah Indonesia. Pemerintah telah memenuhi kewajiban anggaran pendidikan sebesar 20% dari APBN dan terus meningkatkan anggaran pendidikan dari Rp 332,4T pada tahun 2013 menjadi Rp 550T pada tahun 2021. Dari berbagai indikator keberhasilan belajar siswa, belum menunjukkan hasil yang menggembirakan. Krisis pembelajaran diperparah dengan adanya pandemi covid 19. Covid 19 menyebabkan learning loss. Untuk mengantisipasi learning loss dan learning gap di Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (sekarang Kemendikbudristek), telah memberlakukan Kurikulum Darurat. Kurikulum Darurat secara signifikan mampu mengurangi indikasi learning loss dan learning gap selama pandemi baik untuk pencapaian literasi maupun numerasi. Untuk mengatasi potensi learning loss dan learning gap selama pandemi, perlu dikembangkan kurikulum yang secara komprehensif mampu mengatasi krisis pembelajaran yang merupakan masalah akut di Indonesia. Melihat berbagai tantangan yang terjadi, Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset dan Teknologi (Kemendikbudristek) berupaya melakukan upaya pemulihan pembelajaran. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan Kemendikbudristek untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang ada adalah dengan menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka (yang sebelumnya disebut Kurikulum Prototipe). Pelaksanaan Kurikulum Merdeka menuntut guru untuk memahami esensi Kurikulum Merdeka termasuk pelaksanaan penilaian (assesmen). Penilaian yang dilakukan berfungsi sebagai proses pembelajaran (assessment as learning), untuk proses pembelajaran (assessment for learning), dan penilaian pada akhir proses pembelajaran (assessment of learning) yang berbasis pada digital atau internat evaluation (I-Eval)

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan atau mendeskripsikan peran guru bahasa Indonesia  dalam gerakan literasi membaca dan menulis pada sekolah menengah pertama SMP NU Al-Ma’ruf Kudus kelas tujuh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Data primer dalam penelitian ini hasil wawancara yang dilakukan guru bahasa Indonesia dan siswa. Sedangkan data sekunder dalam penelitian ini adalah dokumentasi. Dokumentasi adalah salah satu jenis data sekunder yang umumnya digunakan dalam penelitian. Data sekunder seringkali merujuk pada bentuk elektronik, seperti catatan historis, laporan statistik, survei sebelumnya, atau sumber-sumber lain yang berisi informasi relevan yang diperlukan dalam penelitian. Sumber data yaitu guru bahasa Indonesia dan siswa kelas tujuh SMP NU Al-Ma’ruf Kudus. Hasil dari penelitian ini SMP NU Al-Ma'ruf Kudus telah mengimplementasikan program gerakan literasi yang komprehensif untuk kelas 7, yang melibatkan berbagai kegiatan literasi seperti membaca Al-Qur'an, membaca buku, pengelolaan perpustakaan, dan pojok literasi. Selain itu, peran guru dalam mendukung literasi siswa melibatkan banyak aspek penting. Berikut ini beberapa poin terkait dengan peran guru dalam gerakan literasi di SMP NU Al-Ma'ruf Kudus. Peran guru dalam membaca melalui GLS: (1) membimbing siswa dalam menemukan buku yang tepat (2) fasilitator pembelajaran (3) motivator. Sedangkan peran guru dalam menulis melalui GLS (1) melatih siswa dalam menciptakan karya tulis (2) fasilitator dengan memberikan rasa senang siswa (3) (4)mengevaluasi hasil kerja siswa. Peran guru dalam menulis melalui GLS  sangat penting dalam meningkatkan literasi siswa dan menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung perkembangan literasi yang positif di SMP NU Al-Ma'ruf Kudus. Guru yang memainkan peran dengan baik dalam GLS dapat membantu siswa mengembangkan kemampuan menulis yang lebih baik. Mereka mengajarkan siswa tentang berbagai genre tulisan dan membantu mereka memahami struktur, bahasa, dan konvensi yang terkait dengan masing-masing genre. Akibatnya, siswa dapat menulis dengan lebih baik dan lebih kompeten dalam berbagai konteks. Melalui metode GLS yang menarik dan mendukung, guru dapat membantu meningkatkan minat siswa dalam membaca dan menulis. Siswa yang merasa bahwa menulis adalah suatu hal yang relevan dan bermanfaat akan lebih termotivasi untuk belajar.Kata kunci: GLS, Peran Guru, Menulis dan Membaca
