Abstract

Latar Belakang: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kandungan logam berat timbal (Pb) pada kerang bulu, kerang hijau, dan kerang dagu di perairan Belawan menggunakan metode spektrofotometri UV-VIS. Sampel kerang disiapkan, dan dilakukan analisis untuk mengetahui kadar timbal dalam sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kadar timbal pada ketiga jenis kerang tersebut masih dalam batas toleransi tubuh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan lokasi dan waktu penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Kimia Kuantitatif dan Kimia Kualitatif Fakultas Farmasi Balai Kesehatan Deli Husada Deli Tua, mulai bulan April sampai dengan Juni 2024. Populasi sampel adalah kerang yang berasal dari pasar Nelayan Belawan, dengan pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling. Identifikasi kerang dilakukan di laboratorium yang sama dengan menggunakan alat dan bahan yang standar. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kerang bulu memiliki kadar timbal tertinggi, diikuti oleh kerang hijau dan kerang dagu. Validasi metode analisis menunjukkan hasil yang memuaskan dalam hal linearitas, akurasi, presisi, dan batas deteksi dan kuantifikasi. Penentuan panjang gelombang maksimum dan kurva standar dilakukan dengan sukses. Temuan ini memberikan informasi penting mengenai kandungan timbal dalam kerang dan relevan untuk keamanan pangan. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, disimpulkan bahwa kerang bulu, kerang hijau, dan kerang dagu mengandung kadar timbal yang berbeda. Metode analisis menggunakan spektrofotometri UV-VIS dengan kombinasi ditizhon efektif dalam menentukan kandungan timbal dalam kerang. Rekomendasi untuk penelitian lebih lanjut adalah menggunakan AAS untuk hasil yang lebih akurat dan melakukan studi tentang kadar timbal dalam kerang yang banyak dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat. Disarankan kepada masyarakat untuk mengurangi konsumsi kerang untuk menghindari efek negatif dari kandungan timbal

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Pogostemon cablin benth, juga dikenal sebagai Patchouli, memiliki minyak esensial yang membantu penyembuhan luka dengan aktivitas antibakteri termasuk senyawa scutcutan alkohol tersier siklik, tanin diketahui memiliki kemampuan untuk bertindak sebagai astrigen yang dapat dibersihkan dan dapat terjadi pada stimasi (saponin, saponin yang dapat bertindak, dan mencegah infeksi saat penyembuhan luka internal, saponin memiliki kemampuan untuk membersihkan dan mencegah nomiasi selama pemakaman luka internal, saponin memiliki kemampuan untuk membersihkan dan mencegah infeksi internal, saponin memiliki kemampuan pembersihan dan mampu untuk membersihkan dan mencegah infeksi. Peran dalam penyembuhan luka terbuka. serta meningkatkan produksi sel baru dan mengurangi rasa sakit. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi potensi gel yang terbuat dari daun nilam (Pogostemon cablin benth) pada konsentrasi 10%, 15%, dan 20% untuk mengobati luka terbuka pada tikus kulit putih jantan. Masing -masing dari 25 tikus yang digunakan dalam percobaan ini memiliki luka terbuka berukuran 1,5 cm dan kedalaman 0,2 cm. Kelompok 1 (Kontrol Positif), 2 (Kontrol Negatif), 3 (10% Gel Ekstrak Etanol Daun Patchouli), 4 (15% Gel Ekstrak Etanol Daun Patchouli), dan Grup 5 (20% Gel Ekstrak Etanol Daun Patchouli) digunakan diameter penyembuhan luka yang disajikan sebagai parameter penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa formulasi paling efisien untuk mengobati luka terbuka pada tikus putih jantan adalah gel yang mengandung 20% ekstrak etanol daun patchouli ketika digunakan untuk mengobati luka, gel bioplacenton lebih efektif daripada salep ekstrak etanol daun patchouli.

Abstract

Insecticide resistance in Aedes mosquitoes can undermine arbovirus control efforts. Malathion and permethrin insecticides belong to the group of insecticides used for control and if used continuously will cause immunity of target mosquitoes. This study aims to assess the level of susceptibility of Aedes aegypti to insecticides commonly used in public health in the Enrekang Regency. The type of research used was experimental research. Female Aedes aegypti were collected from rearing results with a total sample size of 240 mosquitoes which were divided into 120 mosquitoes each in 4 treatments and 2 controls on malathion 0.8% and permethrin 0.25% insecticides. The results obtained from the research on insecticide susceptibility test results using malathion 0.8% in 60 minutes of exposure averaged 55% dead and exposure for 24 hours averaged 90% mosquito death, while permethrin 0.25% insecticide in 60 minutes of exposure averaged 90% dead mosquitoes and 24 hours exposure averaged 100% mosquito death, while for the control all live. The conclusion of the study was the susceptibility test of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes to malathion 0.8% insecticide in the category of moderate resistance while permethrin 0.25% insecticide in the category of susceptible.

Abstract

Background: One of the plants that is often used as a medicinal plant is Black Seed. Black Seed in Indonesia is called of black cumin. Main contains of black cumin (Nigella sativa L.) are Thymoquinone, Dithymoquinone, Thymohydroquinone, and Thymol as antioxidants.. Purpose: of this research to test the antioxidant activity contained in Black Seed capsules. Black Seed capsules were tested for weight uniformity, and phytochemical screening. This research Method : Then the Black Seed capsules were tested for antioxidant activity using the DPPH method using a Spectrophotometer UV-Vis at a wavelength of 516 nm, then the value of IC50 was determined in the sample and for comparison, Vitamin C as a comparison. Results: results of uniformity test of capsule weights A1 = 2.72%, A2 = 2.54%, B = 2.00%. The results of phytochemical screening of Black Seed capsule powder contain alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, and steroids. The results of the antioxidant activity test using the DPPH method showed that Black Seed capsules with methanol solvent had antioxidant activity with an Inhibitory Concentration (IC50) of 97.635 µg/ml categorized in a class of strong antioxidant and vitamin C as a comparison has IC50 of 4.397 µg/mL with a very strong category.. Conclusion: so that vitamin C has a stronger antioxidant activity than black seed capsules. The results showed that Black Seed capsules contained antioxidants and had strong antioxidant activity. .

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the potential utilization of oil palm waste from PT. Gelora Mandiri Membangun (GMM) in South Halmahera as an alternative feed for ruminant livestock. Waste samples including empty fruit bunches (EFB), palm fiber, and Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) were collected and analyzed for their nutritional content using proximate analysis methods, followed by feeding trials on local goats. The results showed that fermented POME exhibited the highest crude protein content at 7.80%, while EFB contained 38.20% crude fiber, and palm fiber contained up to 9.20% fat. Feeding trials indicated that goats fed with diets based on fermented POME achieved an average daily weight gain (ADWG) of 91 g/head/day, only slightly lower than those fed with commercial feed (95 g/head/day). These findings suggest that, after simple processing such as fermentation, oil palm waste holds great potential as an alternative feed material without significantly reducing livestock performance. The study concludes that oil palm waste can be an efficient, economical, and environmentally friendly alternative feed source. Utilizing this waste also supports the principles of sustainable agriculture and circular economy while offering economic benefits to local communities through the integration of plantation and livestock sectors. It is recommended to develop simple waste processing technologies and foster local partnerships to optimize the utilization of these resources.

Abstract

The prevalence of unsafe food coloring in snacks consumed by elementary school children remains a public health concern, particularly in urban and rural school environments. Despite ongoing efforts, studies have inadequately addressed the role of educational interventions in improving children’s awareness regarding the consumption of harmful food additives. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of an educational program in enhancing knowledge about food coloring among elementary students. A community-based educational intervention was conducted at Elementary School of Inpres Cilallang, Makassar, targeting fifth-grade students. The method employed was direct health education using pre-test and post-test assessments to measure knowledge improvement. Findings revealed a significant increase in students’ understanding of harmful food colorants in street food and the ability to identify healthier snack options post-intervention. The program demonstrates the feasibility and impact of simple, targeted health education in promoting food safety awareness among school-aged children. These results highlight the importance of integrating such interventions into public health strategies, especially in urban-rural transitional zones where food safety monitoring may be limited.

TJRadikal vbevbas adarlah msrolekul yang memirliki satu atau rlevbih erlekttjrsron tidak vbetjrpasangan sehingga sangat tjreaktif; tjreaktivitas ini dapat metjrusak serl-serl tuvbuh dan memicu vbetjrvbagai penyakit degenetjratif. Untuk mencegah ketjrusakan akivbat tjradikarl vbevbas, dipetjrrlukan senyawa antisroksidan yang mampu menettjrarlkan tjradikarl vbevbas. Sarlah satu tanaman yang diketahui mengandung antisroksidan adarlah kerlengkeng (Dimsrocatjrpus rlsrongan RL.), yang secatjra ttjradisisronarl terlah digunakan sevbagai srovbat dan mengandung senyawa aktif sepetjrti frlavsronsroid, tanin, dan fensrorl. Daun kerlengkeng vbetjrpsrotensi menjadi sumvbetjr antisroksidan arlami, namun sevbagian vbesatjr penerlitian sevberlumnya hanya menggunakan eksttjrak utuh tanpa merlakukan pemisahan ftjraksi. Dengan merlakukan ftjraksinasi vbetjrdasatjrkan kepsrorlatjran perlatjrut, dihatjrapkan aktivitas antisroksidan datjri eksttjrak daun kerlengkeng dapat ditingkatkan. Tujuan penerlitian ini adarlah untuk mengetahui aktivitas antisroksidan ftjraksi n-heksan, etirl asetat, dan aitjr datjri eksttjrak etansrorl daun kerlengkeng (Dimsrocatjrpus rlsrongan RL.) menggunakan metsrode DPPH. Daun kerlengkeng dieksttjraksi dengan metsrode masetjrasi menggunakan etansrorl 96%, kemudian dirlakukan ftjraksinasi menggunakan perlatjrut n-heksan, etirl asetat, dan aitjr. Uji aktivitas antisroksidan dirlakukan pada ksronsenttjrasi setjri 4, 6, 8, 10, dan 12 ppm dengan metsrode DPPH, dengan pengukutjran avbssrotjrvbansi menggunakan spekttjrsrofsrotsromettjri UV-Vis pada panjang gerlsromvbang 517 nm, setjrta vitamin C sevbagai pemvbanding. Hasirl penerlitian menunjukkan vbahwa ftjraksi n-heksan, etirl asetat, dan aitjr datjri eksttjrak etansrorl daun kerlengkeng memirliki kemampuan antisroksidan, di mana ftjraksi etirl asetat dan ftjraksi aitjr tetjrgsrorlsrong sevbagai antisroksidan sangat kuat, sedangkan ftjraksi n-heksan tetjrgsrorlsrong kuat, dengan nirlai IC50 aktivitas antisroksidan masing-masing adarlah 9,84 ppm untuk ftjraksi etirl asetat, 11,88 ppm untuk ftjraksi aitjr, 82,18 ppm untuk ftjraksi n-heksan, dan 3,63 ppm untuk vitamin C sevbagai pemvbanding

Abstract

Kegiatan Bimbingan Teknis, Peningkatan Kapasitas Penyuluh dan Petani Pertanian Peternakan dilaksanakan pada 28–29 Mei 2023 di Istana Daerah Sula, Fagudu, Kecamatan Sanana, Kabupaten Kepulauan Sula, Maluku Utara. Tujuan utama kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan kompetensi penyuluh dan petani dalam penerapan inovasi budidaya pertanian dan manajemen usaha peternakan berkelanjutan. Materi yang disampaikan meliputi teknik budidaya adaptif, pengelolaan pakan ternak, kesehatan hewan, serta metode penyuluhan partisipatif. Peserta yang hadir berasal dari berbagai kelompok tani, peternak, dan penyuluh lapangan. Kegiatan berlangsung interaktif melalui pemaparan materi, diskusi, dan simulasi praktik. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan meningkatnya pemahaman peserta mengenai inovasi pertanian dan peternakan, serta terbentuknya jejaring kerjasama antar kelompok. Diharapkan Bimtek ini mampu menjadi langkah awal dalam penguatan kapasitas sumber daya manusia dan mendorong pengembangan usaha tani dan ternak secara berkelanjutan di Kabupaten Kepulauan Sula.

Abstract

Arabic requires four competencies in its mastery, maharatul istima', maharatul kalam, maharatul qira'ah and maharatul kitabah. In Maharatul Kalam which is a practical ability in speaking, STIT Diniyyah Puteri Rahmah El Yunusiyyah still does not show maximum mastery, this is evidenced by the lack of conversation used in Arabic and also the use of rules that are not appropriate when speaking. This can be seen from the initial observation value made by lecturers showing an achievement of 42%. This type of research is a class action research (PTK) and is carried out at STIT Diniyyah Puteri Rahmah el Yunusiyyah Padang Panjang. With the subject of research for 5th semester female students of the PAI Study Program for the academic year 2022-2023, consisting of 12 students. The instrument used is an observation sheet on the improvement of maharatul kalam carried out directly by the eye-supporting lecturer as well as the researcher. The results of this study show that the application of the Taqdimul Qissah method can improve speaking skills in semester 5 of PAI STIT Diniyyah Puteri Rahmah el Yunusiyyah. The increase can be seen from the average score of maharatul kalam through taqdimul qissah without props, which is 57.10%. Then by using the media props that have been prepared, both in the form of pictures displayed such as playing puppets, as well as props worn directly as clothes by the narrator can increase enthusiasm in learning so that there is a more significant increase in the second cycle, which is 82.21%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of direct exposure of native speakers in overcoming barriers to speaking Arabic among students majoring in Islamic Religious Education at STIT Diniyyah Puteri Rahmah El Yunusiyyah Padang Panjang. The results of the study showed that female students who regularly listened to podcasts, movies, or cartoons in Arabic fusha with translated text tended to have better speaking skills and confidence. The methodology used is a qualitative approach with a case study design, this study involves 30 female students who are selected by purposive sampling. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using Miles and Huberman qualitative analysis techniques. The validity of the data was tested by triangulation technique. This study suggests that higher education institutions integrate the use of Arabic-language media in the curriculum to improve students' language skills, helping to improve their pronunciation, intonation, and speaking fluency. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the development of Arabic language learning methods in higher education institutions.
