Abstract

Measurement of Islamic banking performance still using conventional methods and market penetration in Islamic banking still lag far behind conventional bank so that the Indonesian government merged the red plate Islamic bank namely BRIS, BNIS, BSM which changed their names to BSI. This study used descriptive quantitative method. The data used in this research is secondary data. Secondary data is obtained from the annual report BRIS, BNIS, BSM period 2016-2020 and BSI period 2021. Based on the data that has been obtained and the results of the analysis show that the difference in BSI performance in the 2016-2020 periode before the merger when viewed from the courtesies diagram of SCnP BRIS, BNIS, and BSM is in the same LRQ quadrant (Lower Right Quadrant) with MSI ranking results BSM ranked 1st, BRIS 2nd, and BNIS 3rd. In the 2021 period after the merger when viewed from the courtesies diagram of SCnP BSI be in the LRQ quadrant with a 4th MSI ranked. This suggests that the comparison results would be better if they had the same period i.e. before and after the merger of five years each.

Abstract

In this research, energy consumption analysis was conducted at the Main building regent’s office of nunukan. The analysis was conducted on the main variables of energy efficiency, namely: measurement of temperature and relative humidity, calculation of Overall Thermal Transfer Value (OTTV) and Roof Thermal Transfer Value (RTTV), calculation of Energy Consumption Intensity (IKE) in air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned rooms as well as an analysis of opportunities to increase the efficiency of energy consumption in the buildings.. Based on the calculation and result of IKE in both buildings, they are still considered in the category of EFFICIENT. However, based on the measurement of temperature and relative humidity, it shows that in both buildings air conditioning is still necessary to achieve the level of thermal comfort, therefore an increase of efficiency in the load is needed to avoid wastage.

Abstract

Abstract

The growth of the Islamic insurance industry in this country can be seen from the increase in existing assets and players. However, the low level of literacy related to sharia insurance as well as how to invest in unit-linked sharia insurance products makes some people hesitant about sharia insurance. Certified sharia insurance agents are at the forefront of providing investment literacy in sharia insurance products to customers since they have been given full trust to manage their assets so that customers get protection and benefits. How the sharia insurance agent at PT. Asuransi Jiwa Generali Indonesia understands Islamic investment will be discussed in depth using a descriptive qualitative method and triangulation techniques in managing the interview results. This study reveals that certain agents also lack product awareness and investment literacy. So that it can be a reference for insurance agent trainers in optimizing training for agents, both directly and through applications, to provide more understanding and make it easier for Generali insurance agents to provide information on unit-linked products to their customers, especially in terms of sharia investment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of macroeconomic shocks, such as economic growth, inflation and the rupiah exchange rate on Islamic banking efficiency. This study uses the two-stage least squares (TSLS) method, which is a method with two endogenous variables, namely the non-performing financing (NPF) ratio as a representation of the quality of Islamic banking financing and the operating expense operating income (BOPO) ratio as a representation of Islamic banking efficiency. So that the TSLS method aims to purify these endogenous variables against stochastic disturbances. This study uses monthly data from January 2010 to January 2020, or as many as 121 observations. The observation of data is obtained from Islamic Banking Statistic that published by Financial Services Authority (OJK). The efficiency of Islamic banks is influenced by the number of sharia banking office networks, capital adequacy ratios, and NPF ratios. The NPF ratio itself is affected by macroeconomic conditions (economic growth and appreciation of the rupiah exchange rate) as well as the efficiency of Islamic banking. Based on the above findings, a number of recommendations were given, including the urgency of simultaneously increasing efficiency and quality of Islamic banking financing accompanied by monitoring Indonesia's macroeconomic conditions, so that it is hoped that Islamic banks will be more resilient to macroeconomic shocks and competitive in the national financial services industry.

Abstract

This article examines the cultural identity, territorial claims, and adat governance of negeri communities in East Seram, Maluku. Conducted by Gaia Indonesia in January–February 2024, the research focused on twelve villages located around a forestry concession area, representing three typologies: coastal negeri historically linked to the Tidore Sultanate, mountain negeri of the Alifuru people, and state-built transmigration villages. Using ethnographic methods—interviews, focus group discussions, participant observation, and participatory mapping—the study explored oral histories, adat institutions, sacred sites, and land disputes. The findings show that negeri cannot be reduced to an administrative category but remain living institutions that shape social life, cultural identity, and territorial governance. Coastal negeri such as Waru and Belis emphasize legitimacy through Tidore recognition and maritime networks, while mountain negeri such as Boinfia, Gah, and Solang ground identity in ancestral myths, sacred landscapes, and adat rules. Transmigration villages, by contrast, derive legitimacy from state law and development programs. Tensions emerge where adat boundaries diverge from administrative village borders, creating overlapping claims and the potential for horizontal conflict, particularly when external actors such as logging concessions intervene. This study contributes to anthropological debates on identity and space by showing how cultural identity in East Seram is plural, negotiated, and historically situated. Negeri institutions persist as resilient frameworks through which communities articulate belonging, authority, and rights to land.
