Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the involvement of the role of the Five Elements in sustainable village development in the Pentahelix model communication concept in waste management in Trangsan village. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through interviews, FGDs, observations and documentation. The result of this study shows that the role of the five elements in the Pentahelix concept has advantages in each dimension such as the government as a policy maker, the business world as a facilitator, academics as coordinators, the community as implementers, and the media as an accelerator and information publication. The sustainable development process requires good communication between individuals and groups to optimize their respective roles and jointly contribute to efforts to improve the quality of life of the community. Thus, the Penta Helix model of sustainable village development strategy can be an effective model for realizing Sustainable Trangsan Village.

Abstract

Community empowerment is defined as efforts to make communities more empowered and self-reliant. The form of community empowerment itself must be adapted to the various potentials, problems, and needs of the community. Kampung Edukasi in Kembangkuning Village, Boyolali Regency, is an educultural tourism-based village managed independently by the community. The objective of this research is to examine how community empowerment is carried out by the residents of Kembangkuning Village in developing Kampung Edukasi. The research method used in this study is qualitative descriptive, with data collection conducted through interviews, observation, and documentation. The informant selection technique employed snowball sampling, with the key informant being Uun Sismiyardi, the Bayan (village official) of Dukuh Duren Sari.  The results of this study indicate that three out of the five elements of Empowerment proposed by Edi Soeharto are functioning well, including the indicators of enabling, strengthening, and sustaining. Meanwhile, the indicators of protection and support are less optimal due to the still high involvement of external parties.

Abstract

This research aims to identify and analyze the strategies of Radio Sonora 98.9 FM Semarang in retaining listeners amid the challenges of the digital era, especially the development of the Spotify music streaming application. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with in-depth interview and observation methods to collect data. The results showed that Sonora Radio implemented four main strategies: program suitability, habit formation, listener flow control, and program resource storage. These strategies include scheduling programs according to audience needs, creating advertisements and rundowns to build listening habits, and regular evaluations to improve broadcast quality. In addition, content diversification and innovation, such as collaboration with local influencers and social media optimization, are implemented to attract the younger generation. This research concludes that the success of Radio Sonora's strategy lies in its ability to adapt to the development of digital technology while still maintaining the characteristics of traditional broadcasts that are familiar to listeners.

Abstract

In the digital age, social media has emerged as a dominant force in shaping public discourse. This research investigates how Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) are utilized to manage public awareness regarding viral content in Indonesia. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through in-depth interviews and digital observation of five viral cases spanning social, political, environmental, and cultural issues. The study applies Agenda Setting Theory and Public Communication Theory to analyze how each platform influences users’ perceptions. Findings show Instagram is effective in building emotional engagement through visual storytelling, while X serves as a dynamic forum for fast-paced opinion exchange. The contrast in platform characteristics influences how users interpret and respond to viral issues. The study concludes that while social media plays a significant role in shaping awareness, the impact varies depending on users’ digital literacy and critical engagement. The research highlights the need for media literacy in navigating complex information ecosystems and calls for responsible communication strategies in digital spaces.

Abstract

Hajj is a fundamental pillar of Islam that requires pilgrims to perform a series of complex rituals with precision and understanding. However, many prospective pilgrims struggle to retain and apply the necessary knowledge using traditional lecture-based instruction alone. With the rise of digital tools, mobile applications have emerged as a promising supplement to enhance religious education. This study investigates the effectiveness of two Android-based applications—Haji Pintar and Kawal Haji—in improving Hajj pilgrims' comprehension, retention, and confidence. Employing a quasi-experimental design, 133 participants were divided into a control and experimental group, with the latter incorporating mobile-assisted learning. Pre- and posttest assessments, along with surveys and semi-structured interviews, were conducted to evaluate outcomes. Results revealed that the experimental group showed significantly higher knowledge retention and confidence compared to the control group. Qualitative findings further highlighted how features such as video tutorials and interactive guides enhanced learners' emotional preparedness and engagement. This research makes a unique contribution to the literature by providing empirical evidence of the impact of mobile learning in religious contexts, utilizing mixed methods to measure comprehension outcomes. The findings offer practical implications for developing inclusive digital Hajj training, particularly for elderly users, and call for collaboration with religious institutions in designing structured, mobile-based curricula. Theoretically, the study reinforces the relevance of technology-assisted, self-paced models in Islamic education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merancang panel surya untuk mendukung operasi sistem tempat sampah dengan pemilahan otomatis. Fokus utamanya adalah merancang panel surya yang efisien dan handal. Metode meliputi studi literatur, analisis kebutuhan energi, perancangan, dan pengujian kinerja panel surya. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa panel surya yang dikembangkan mampu mendukung operasi sistem secara efisien. Pengembangan panel surya yang andal dan efisien sangat penting untuk sistem tempat sampah mandiri, serta memberikan wawasan tambahan tentang energi terbarukan dalam pengelolaan sampah

Abstract

Pemborosan air merupakan permasalahan yang sering terjadi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem Monitoring Kondisi Air dan Pemati Keran Otomatis berbasis IoT pada bak mandi. Sistem ini dirancang untuk mengurangi pemborosan air dan mengontrol suhu air secara real-time menggunakan platform ThingsBoard. Dengan memanfaatkan sensor ultrasonik, sensor suhu DS18B20, sensor kekeruhan air, dan solenoid valve, pengguna dapat memantau kondisi air melalui perangkat IoT. Penelitian dilakukan di Samarinda, Kalimantan Timur, dan mengintegrasikan data ke ThingsBoard untuk visualisasi dan analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem ini efektif dalam mengoptimalkan pemakaian air rumah tangga, mencegah air meluap, dan meningkatkan kesadaran pengguna terhadap pentingnya konservasi air.

Abstract

Regional languages are an important part of cultural identity and objects of constitutional protection as regulated in Article 32 paragraph (2) of the 1945 Constitution. This study aims to analyze the challenges faced by the Lampung provincial government in efforts to preserve and strengthen the Lampung language in the digital era. The problem is studied how the government deals with social and technological dynamics in maintaining the existence of the Lampung language, especially through regional policies in the field of education. This study uses an empirical method. This study also uses the theory of Legal Politics and Regional Autonomy Theory. This theory is used to analyze the direction of the Lampung provincial government's legal policy and regional authority in strengthening the Lampung language as part of cultural affairs in the digital era. The results of the study show that the implementation of the Lampung language preservation policy still faces challenges, including limited digital learning media, minimal teaching staff, and minimal interest from the younger generation.

Abstract

Ibadah keluarga merupakan elemen penting dalam pembentukan spiritual warga jemaat GKI, khususnya dalam lingkup komunitas kecil. Di Rayon 6 GKI Rut Lidia, tradisi ini dijaga dengan baik melalui pertemuan rutin mingguan. Namun, praktik pengedaran sejumlah kantong persembahan selama ibadah—meliputi persembahan umum, diakonia, pembangunan, dan "Aksi Seribu" menimbulkan kekhawatiran terkait dampaknya terhadap kekhusyukan ibadah dan kenyamanan jemaat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi apakah jumlah kantong persembahan memengaruhi kekhusyukan ibadah serta apakah praktik tersebut masih relevan dalam konteks liturgi dan spiritualitas masa kini. Dengan menggunakan desain survei kuantitatif korelasional, data dikumpulkan dari 72 responden melalui kuesioner skala Likert. Uji-t dua sampel independen dilakukan untuk melihat perbedaan tingkat kekhusyukan ibadah antara dua kelompok: mereka yang hanya hadir tiga kali dalam enam bulan terakhir (rata-rata = 3,2) dan mereka yang hadir lebih dari enam kali (rata-rata = 4,2). Hasil uji menunjukkan nilai t sebesar ±4,53 dan nilai p < 0,001, menandakan perbedaan yang signifikan dalam persepsi kekhusyukan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa jemaat yang hadir secara rutin tetap mampu menjaga kekhusyukan ibadah meskipun terdapat rutinitas administratif berupa pengedaran beberapa kantong persembahan. Secara teologis, persembahan dipandang sebagai tindakan penyembahan yang dilakukan dengan sukacita, bukan sebagai kewajiban yang membebani (2 Korintus 9:7). Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa jumlah kantong persembahan tidak secara signifikan mengganggu kekhusyukan ibadah apabila didukung oleh pemahaman spiritual yang kuat dan transparansi dalam praktik keuangan gereja. Hasil ini mendorong gereja untuk mengevaluasi tata cara ibadah secara kontekstual tanpa mengorbankan kedalaman spiritual.

Abstract

Young voters who have just entered the voting age do not yet have a broad political reach to determine where they should vote and online media is one of the tools to reach them. This study aims to determine the significant relationship between news exposure about presidential candidates in online media with the level of choice of young voters in the 2019 election. This study is a type of explanatory quantitative research using the positivism paradigm. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents in Semarang City using purposive sampling techniques. Data calculation in this study uses Spearman Rank correlation analysis using the IMB SPSS application as an aid to conduct several statistical data tests. The results of this study indicate that all calculated questionnaire items are declared valid because the calculated r> r table (0.195), and are also declared reliable with a value above 0.600. The Spearman Rank correlation analysis test shows that there is a significant relationship between the Level of Media Exposure (X1), the Level of Media Attention (X2) and the Level of Knowledge of young voters in the 2019 election. (Y) of 0.000<0.05. There is a strong relationship between the variable level of media exposure and the level of choice of beginners in the 2019 presidential election of 0.624 . There is a strong relationship between the variable level of media attention and the level of choice of beginners in the 2019 presidential election of 0.580 . Thus, it can be concluded that the level of media exposure and the level of media attention have a significant relationship with the level of knowledge of beginners in the 2019 election.
