Abstract

In facing national problems such as intolerance and ethnic and social conflicts, Indonesia needs to re-actualize the values of Pancasila, which have been proven as a unifying solution for the nation. Pancasila, as the foundation of the state and the nation's outlook on life, plays an important role in uniting the ethnic, religious, and cultural differences in Indonesia. However, in daily practice, the values of Pancasila tend to be eroded and are more present as formal symbols than behavioral guidelines, thus triggering various disputes between residents. Therefore, the purpose of this community service activity Pancasila is intended to (1) instill Pancasila values in the Pacet Village community; (2) mentor the Pacet Village youth organization as a facilitator of harmony by utilizing social media to campaign for harmony in society. This community service activity is a collaboration between the Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study Program, Surabaya State University with the Pacet Village Government, Pacet District, Mojokerto Regency, and the Mojokerto Regency Interfaith Harmony Forum. This community service activity is a Pancasila Discussion and Creative Content Creation Training for Karang Taruna Pacet Village. The method used is socialization, which provides material about Pancasila as a unifier of the nation, ending with digital content training. Abstract

Regional taxes, specifically the Motor Vehicle Name Return Tax (BBNKB), provide the primary source of revenue for regions from the several forms of taxes. The BBNKB tax is crucial in funding government and regional development due to its significant annual growth, encompassing four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles. Furthermore, the BBNKB tax catalyzes regional economic expansion and significantly contributes to the government's income. Hence, predicting and forecasting the BBNKB Tax in Lampung Province is necessary to monitor future tax rate fluctuations. That will enable the government to devise innovative tax payment systems and establish tax revenue targets. This study utilizes the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) methodology, using many approaches for distributing training and testing data to forecast. In addition, we utilize hyper-tuning on several factors to obtain the most favourable configurations. The ideal model achieved has a training data allocation of 80% and a testing data allocation of 20%. It was trained for 50 epochs and used a batch size of 16. The model has exceptional predictability, attaining an accuracy rating of 96.51%. Additionally, it showcases a low Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) of 0.246 and a minimal Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) score of 3.48%. Therefore, it is appropriate to predict the next two-year term. As a result, the forecast for the amount of tax collected from motor vehicle name returns in Lampung has fluctuated.

Abstract

Naive Bayes classification, grounded in Bayes' theorem, is a well-established probabilistic and statistical method. However, it often faces challenges when dealing with datasets that have skewed class distributions. A common issue with unbalanced data is that the classifier tends to predict the majority class more accurately, leading to high accuracy for the majority class but low accuracy for the minority class. Resampling techniques such as oversampling, undersampling, or a combination of both can be employed to address this. This research introduces a novel approach to balancing training data using a hybrid method that combines SMOTE (Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique) and Tomek Links by applying this method to tuberculosis (TB) diagnosis data from Mayjend HM Ryacudu Kotabumi Hospital. We evaluate the Naive Bayes classifier's performance on the original and newly balanced data.  We used 826 patient data for training and 207 for testing out of 1,033. Of the 826 records in the training dataset, 306 patients had a TB diagnosis, whereas 520 patients did not. To achieve a better balance between the majority and minority classes, we oversampled 214 data in the minority class to match the number in the majority class. If necessary, we also reduce 214 data from the majority class. The results demonstrate that this hybrid approach significantly enhances the performance of the Naive Bayes model in terms of data balancing and overall accuracy. Specifically, the hybrid method achieves an average specificity of 96%, sensitivity of 88%, false positive fraction (FPF) of 4%, and false negative fraction (FNF) of 12%. These findings highlight the effectiveness of combining SMOTE and Tomek Links, providing a robust solution for improving classification performance in unbalanced datasets. Keywords: Naive Bayes classification; SMOTE; Tomek Links; SMOTE+Tomek Links; Tuberculosis. 2020MSC: 68T05, 62R07.

Abstract

Wayang kulit is one of Indonesia's cultural heritages that is becoming increasingly unfamiliar to many of today’s younger generation. The emergence of new entertainment forms via various social media platforms has made wayang seem distant and less accessible to the public. The influence of modern globalization, coupled with the sophistication of internet features, provides people with a variety of entertainment options, further distancing traditional arts like wayang kulit. Nevertheless, some communities continue to strive to preserve this cultural art form to ensure its survival. One example of such local wisdom is the annual tradition of Rosulan (village cleansing), which includes wayang kulit performances held in Dusun Sukosari, Kecamatan Jumantono, Kabupaten Karanganyar.             This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through intensive interviews with key informants, including residents of Dusun Sukosari, community leaders, and religious figures. Observations were conducted by examining the environment where the wayang performances were held. Documents such as committee arrangements and reports were also utilized, along with photographs of the wayang kulit performances for visual support. Informants were selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis employed an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing or validation. This research aims to identify the factors influencing the continuity of the Rosulan tradition with its wayang kulit performances in Dusun Sukosari, explore the values of local wisdom embedded in this tradition that allow it to endure across generations, and discover strategies for preserving wayang kulit among younger generations. The study was conducted in Dusun Sukosari, Desa Sukosari, Kecamatan Jumantono, Kabupaten Karanganyar, with the research subjects being local residents and the audience of wayang kulit performances during Rosulan.

Abstract

Indonesia’s tropical climate, marked by rainy and dry seasons, is increasingly affected by extreme weather events driven by climate change. Rising temperatures, shifting rainfall patterns, and sea-level rise have intensified health risks such as malaria, dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF), and gastrointestinal infections. Accurate weather forecasting is essential for mitigating these challenges and informing risk management strategies. This study develops and evaluates a hybrid SARIMA-LSTM model for weather forecasting in Bandar Lampung, integrating time series analysis with deep learning to enhance predictive accuracy. SARIMA captures seasonal variations, while LSTM models nonlinear relationships, offering a robust approach to forecasting complex weather patterns. The SARIMA (6,1,0)(3,1,0)26 model was selected for its effective seasonal representation and combined with LSTM to leverage its capability in modelling nonlinear dependencies. Hyperparameter optimization using grid search further improved model performance. Two data partitioning approaches were tested: 70%-30% and 80%-20% splits for training and testing, respectively. The SARIMA-LSTM hybrid model demonstrated superior performance with the 80%-20% split, achieving MSE, RMSE, and MAPE values of 0.1174, 0.3426, and 0.0104%, respectively. The model accurately forecasted weather conditions over 21 weeks, aligning closely with observed trends and effectively capturing seasonal patterns. These findings underscore the model’s potential to support public health strategies, including disease outbreak mitigation for malaria and DHF, and enhance disaster preparedness in flood-prone areas.
