Abstract

There are three main elements of activities assessed in assigning credit points to teachers. First is education, second is learning and third is continuous professional development. Education and learning are activities that are usually carried out by a teacher. However, not many teachers are still doing sustainable professional development. One of them is in scientific publications. For this reason, a service was carried out regarding training in writing scientific papers to increase the acquisition of credit scores for Banjarnegara Regency MGMP Science teachers. The training methods applied include planning, implementing training and mentoring and monitoring. Based on the service carried out, it was found that the length of time teaching did not show a positive relationship with writing ability and quantity of publications. Through this service, teachers already have the motivation to start writing even though there have been no published results from this service activity.

Abstract

Lamut is a traditional art form that has evolved and flourished alongside society. This performance art involves a solo theatrical presentation by an individual known as the Palamutan. Facing the threat of extinction due to modern societal dynamics, this study investigates lamut art, identifying the factors behind its decline, exploring methods for its revitalization, particularly among youth, and evaluating its contribution to national and local development, underscoring its cultural importance and need for preservation. This study highlight the rich cultural history of Lamut and its significance in the Banjar community. The study is to understand the decline of lamut, identify the factors affecting its practice, and propose methods to preserve it for future generations. The methodology employed is descriptive qualitative research, providing an explanatory framework for the findings. The study categorizes lamut into two types: entertainment lamut and therapeutic lamut. Results indicate that factors contributing to the decline include the long duration of performances, ritualistic aspects incompatible with Islamic teachings, and the marginalization of traditional arts in the face of modernity. The emphasis is that the preservation of lamut requires collaboration between artists, cultural practitioners, and relevant institutions to ensure its continuity.

Abstract

The photovoltaic experiment provided a simple, affordable method to determine Planck’s constant through empirical learning. This experiment allowed students to present concrete data using easily available, low-cost materials. The experiment utilised a photovoltaic method, employing a simple, self-designed setup that used three laser pointers with wavelengths of 650nm (red), 535nm (green), and 405nm (blue) as independent variables. A 6V, 1W mini solar cell was used as the target, while the speed of light and electron charge were treated as control variables. The laser pointers were powered by a 3V battery. The data were analysed by plotting the relationship between 1/λ (inverse wavelength) and the measured voltage as the dependent variable. A linear regression analysis was performed to obtain the gradient, which was used to calculate Planck’s constant. The experiment yielded a calculated Planck’s constant of 7.09×10-35Js, with a deviation of 5.69 x 10-34Js, resulting in a relative error of 8.89%. This relative error could be attributed to several factors, including refraction effects caused by the glass layer and adhesive used to protect the semiconductor plate of the solar cell, as well as discrepancies between the actual wavelengths of the laser beams and the labelled wavelengths on the laser pointers.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of sound attenuation of Styrofoam material. This research is using a noise meter application Decibel X: dB Sound Level Meter and a sound generator as a sound source. Then Styrofoam as an acoustic material with a thickness of 1 cm; 1.5 cm; 2 cm; 2.5 cm ; 3 cm; 3.5 cm and 4 cm. The average absorption coefficient obtained in this study with a material thickness of 1 cm is 0.023. Then the average absorption coefficient at a thickness of 1.5 cm is 0.031. While the average absorption coefficient at a material thickness of 2 cm is 0.040. Furthermore, the average sound absorption coefficient at a thickness of 2.5 cm and 3 cm has the same value, namely 0.039. Then, the average sound absorption coefficient at a thickness of 3.5 cm and 4 cm also has the same value, which is 0.038. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that sound absorption at frequencies below 1000 Hz occurs significant sound absorption. At frequencies of 200 Hz, 400 Hz, 600 Hz and 800 Hz, the average sound absorption increases from 1 cm to 3.5 cm of Styrofoam thickness. While the thickness of Styrofoam 4 cm on average did not show a significant increase in sound absorption. Styrofoam thickness of 4 cm can effectively absorb sound at a frequency of 1000 Hz only.

Abstract

Split stone is a type of irregular stone formed from sedimentary rock deposits and sandstone due to weathering and the influence of abrasion in rivers, so split stones are formed. The utilization of split stone as an embankment can be optimized by varying the angle of inclination of the embankment itself. Coastal dikes were built to mitigate tidal floods that occur in coastal areas and cause physical, material, economic and natural losses. Rob flood is a natural disaster characterized by the release of sea water to land. Rob flooding is caused by land subsidence, tidal waves and the absence of wave barriers. From the results of this research, it was found that the dike with the smallest angle is the most optimal embankment if used on the coast, because the more surface area of the embankment that breaks the waves, the less likely the sea waves overflow into land.   Keywords: embankment, split stone, rob flood, coastal.
