Abstract

Sertifikat sebagai legalitas kepemilikan tanah, diadakan demi mewujudkan tertib administrasi dan tertib hukum. Urgensi terletak pada sebagai pencegahan untuk menghindari potensi terjadinya sengketa tanah. Masyarakat yang masih dalam keadaan lemah dalam memahami mengenai pentingnya pendaftaran hak formal kepemilikan tanah, pada akhirnya menjadi kenyataan bahwa masyarakat belum memahami kepentingan legalitas formal kepemilikan atas tanah yang dimilikinya tersebut. Persoalan yang banyak terjadi akibat tidak dilakukannya legalitas formal terhadap hak atas tanah adalah timbulnya sengketa tanah sebagai akibat dari tidak tertib administrasi dan tidak tertib hukum sesuai yang diamanahkan dalam peraturan perundang-undangan tersebut. Sebagai bentuk tanggapan hal ini, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat difokuskan untuk memperkuat pengetahuan masyarakat dengan melaksanakan penyuluhan hukum tentang pentingnya legalitas formal kepemilikan tanah. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan metode ceramah materi, tanya jawab, dan diskusi. Antusiasme masyarakat setempat sebagai peserta kegiatan penyuluhan sangat tinggi. Hal ini bersandar pada cukup banyaknya pertanyaan dari peserta penyuluhan yang merupakan anggota yang mana keaktifan mereka sesi diskusi membahas kasus-kasus hukum yang dihadapi tertutama kasus yang terkait legalitas formal kepemilikan hak atas tanah. Pelaksanaan kegiatan penyuluhan hukum berjalan dengan tertib dan lancar. Melalui penyuluhan hukum ini, diharapkan dapat menambah informasi, mengubah pola pikir dan sikap masyarakat akan pentingnya melakukan kegiatan legalitas formal terhadap hak atas tanah yang dimilikinya.

Abstract

Knowledge regarding HIV/AIDS in Papua among adolescents is still very limited, while there is a 3% HIV prevalence among adolescents. This study aims to determine the difference in knowledge regarding reproductive health and HIV/AIDS between students in Natural Sciences major and Social Sciences major at urban and rural senior high schools in Papua Province. This was a cross-sectional study. The Slovin formula was applied for sample calculation to obtained a total sample of 159 students in Natural Science and Social Sciences majors at SMA Negeri 4 of Jayapura City and SMA Negeri 1 of Keerom District in Papua Province. The study samples were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Statistical tests in this study applied the Mann-Whitney test. The results of the study showed that there was a difference in the level of knowledge regarding HIV/AIDS between students in the Natural Sciences major and Social Sciences major at urban and rural senior high schools (p=0.003). It can be concluded that the level of knowledge of students in natural Sciences majors was higher than that of students in natural Sciences majors at urban and rural senior high schools. Students in Natural Sciences major had a more positive attitude towards HIV/AIDS prevention than students in Social Sciences major studies at urban and rural senior high schools. It is expected that further researchers can develop research variables and research subjects as well as research methods to explore the topic related to the incidence of HIV/AIDS among adolescents.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the legal aspects related to land use rights in Takalar Regency. Land use rights are a form of right given to individuals or legal entities to utilize land that does not belong to them, with certain time and use restrictions regulated in the law. This study uses an empirical juridical approach, which combines the study of applicable laws and regulations with field data collected through interviews and observations. The results of the study show that there are several problems in the implementation of land use rights in Takalar Regency, such as the lack of public understanding of the regulations governing land use rights, as well as the overlap of land use that causes legal disputes. This study concludes that more intensive socialization from the government is needed and improvement of the supervision mechanism to avoid abuse of land use rights. Thus, this research is expected to contribute to efforts to improve the regulation and implementation of land use rights in Indonesia, especially in Takalar Regency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pendapatan usahatani jagung dan usahatani nilam di Desa Lamanu Kecamatan Kabawo Kabupaten Muna, dan perbedaan pendapatan usahatani jagung dan usahatani nilam di Desa Lamanu Kecamatan Kabawo Kabupaten Muna. Pengambilan data penelitian berlangsung pada bulan Oktober sampai Mei 2023. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh petani yang mengusahakan tanaman jagung dan tanaman nilam, Penentuan sampel ditentukan secara purposive sampling, sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah sebanyak 30 responden. Data dalam penelitian adalah data primer dan data sekunder dengan menggunakan tehnik observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Total rata-rata pendapatan usahatani jagung sebesar Rp 7.615.586/ha/tahun, dengan rata-rata penerimaan sebesar Rp 11.931.034 dan total biaya produksi usahatani jagung sebesar Rp 4.315448. Sedangkan usahatani nilam rata-rata pendapatan yang diperoleh petani sebesar Rp 14.087.049/ha/tahun, dengan penerimaan sebesar Rp 27.663.934 dan total biaya usahatani nilam sebesar Rp 13.576.885.(2) Terdapat perbedaan secara signifikan antara pendapatan usahatani jagung dengan pendapatan usahatani nilam, hal ini dilihat dari hasil perhitungan uji independent Sample T-test dimana nilai t-hitung 2,769>2,048 t-tabel maka H₀ ditolak dan H₁ diterima.

Abstract

Breast cancer is still a serious problem in both developed and developing countries. Cancer is the highest cause of death in the world. In Indonesia, breast cancer is also the type of cancer that contributes the highest to the female cancer prevalence rate. The low level of early detection efforts by self-examination of the breasts and clinical breast examinations is the cause of the increase in breast cancer. Leading to an increase in the death rate. The aim of this research is to identify knowledge and behavior of BSE (breast self- examination) among urban and rural teenage girls in Papua Province. This research method uses a cross sectional study design. The sample in this study was 185 urban and rural teenage girls. Data analysis used the Mann Whitney U statistical test to see differences in BSE knowledge and behavior in urban n rural teenage girls. The research results showed that the majority of urban teenage girls’ knowledge level was in the high category, while the majority of rural teenage girls were in the low category. While the behavior of urban teenage girls tended to be more obedient in doing BSE (breast self- examination) compared to rural teenage girls. Bivariate analysis show that there is a difference in the level of knowledge between urban and rural teenage girls regarding BSE (breast self- examination) with a p-value (0,000) < 0,05 and there is also difference in BSE (breast self- examination) behavior among urban and rural teenage girls with p-value (0.016)<0.05.

Abstract

This study was conducted to investigate the enrichment of students' vocabulary proficiency through using the Spelling Bee game. The researcher employed a pre-experimental approach with a one-group pre-test and post-test design, collecting data through the administration of a test. The sample population for this research comprised 20 eighth-grade students, selected using the cluster random sampling technique. The finding of this research showed that the eighth grade students of SMP DDI Mattoanging have poor enough score in pre-test. After conducting the treatment of Spelling Bee Game, the students’ vocabulary mastery increase significantly. The result of the research showed that the mean score obtained the students through post-test (79.80) was higher than the pre-test (50.10). Vocabulary mastery improved 59.28% by using Spelling Bee game. Therefore, the researcher concluded that the enrichment of the students’ vocabulary mastery using Spelling Bee game was significantly enrich. Keywords— Vocabulary, Spelling Bee Game.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to 1) find out the influencing factors of the students' unwillingness to speak in EFL classroom. and 2) find out how the factors influence students' unwillingness to speak in EFL classroom. A mixed-methods approach was used. The research subjects were 10th grade students majoring in Agribusiness Processing of Agricultural Products at SMK Negeri 4 Jeneponto. Participants were selected through a purposive sampling technique in determining the sample of this research, nine students were selected as participants, with three students categorized as having low score in English practice, three students categorized as having intermediate score in English practice, and three students categorized as having high score in English practice. The results of the research showed that psychological factor influencing students' unwillingness to speak in EFL classroom is lack of self-confidence. Meanwhile, linguistic factors included: (1) Lack of vocabulary (2) Lack of grammatical pattern knowledge and (3) Incorrect Pronunciation. A lack of confidence, frequently rooted in past negative experiences of language errors that have resulted in reluctance to speak in public, is a significant psychological barrier, discouraging students from participating. Linguistic challenges further exacerbate this issue; limited vocabulary and insufficient knowledge of grammatical patterns lead to hesitation and fragmented speech, as students struggle to articulate their thoughts clearly. Pronunciation errors also play a crucial role, as they can affect intelligibility and cause students to fear that their speech may not be understood, thus reinforcing their unwillingness to speak up in class.

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to obtain an overview of pre-service English teachers' perceptions regarding the use of digital technology in making English language tests in the language assessment process. This research uses a mixed-method research model that combines qualitative research models and quantitative models to obtain more comprehensive and in-depth data regarding pre-service English teachers' perceptions on the use of digital technology in creating English tests. The research data source will be selected purposively, namely, pre-service teachers who have completed the Language Assessment course in the English Language Education study program, Faculty of Language and Literature, Universitas Negeri Makassar. In the data collection process, researchers used interviews, questionnaires, and document reviews. Qualitative data will be analyzed based on the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. Meanwhile, to analyze quantitative data, researchers will use descriptive statistical analysis. The result of this study reveals that the pre-service English teachers portrayed a positive attitude toward the use of digital technology to create English tests in language assessment

Abstract

This study investigates prospective teachers’ perspectives of web-based gamification applications used as classroom learning media. This study used a mixed method. 65 students participated as questionnaire respondents, and among the respondents, 3 students who got more than a 3.85 GPA from the third-year students were purposively chosen to be the participants. They willingly participated as participants in this study. A questionnaire and an in-depth interview are the techniques to gather the data. The results reveal that the participants in this study thought that using web-based gamification applications as learning media was beneficial and influential for them. As learning media, they use web-based gamification applications such as Quizziz, Kahoot, Wordwall, and others in their teaching. Their students find the game attractive and enchanting. Although they are useful media to attract and motivate students in the teaching and learning process, the participants also mark that free access to the game might have a negative impact on both teachers and students. From their perspectives as high achievers’ students, web-based gamification also has a certain role in improving their understanding and maintaining their focus during the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Indonesia is rich in diverse culture and local wisdom, one of which is the Mandar tribe tradition in Polewali Mandar Regency, West Sulawesi. This local wisdom plays an important role in forming the character of individuals and society. The "Mepuang" and "Metabe" traditions of the Mandar tribe are two examples of local wisdom that are full of moral and ethical values. Mepuang is a tradition of welcoming guests with full respect, reflecting friendliness, respect and politeness. Metabe is a tradition of mutual cooperation that emphasizes cooperation, solidarity and social responsibility. Character education aims to form students who are not only intellectually intelligent but also have noble character. The integration of local wisdom values ​​in character education in elementary schools is expected to be an effective approach in achieving this goal. This research explores how the local wisdom of the Mandar Tribe, especially the Mepuang and Metabe, can contribute to the character education of elementary school students in Polewali Mandar Regency. This research methodology uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and participant observation to collect data from various sources, including teachers, students and local traditional leaders. The research results show that the integration of Mepuang and Metabe values ​​in the curriculum and school activities can form better student characters in terms of cooperation, responsibility and politeness. This research concludes that local wisdom has great potential to enrich character education in elementary schools. The implementation of local cultural values ​​not only preserves cultural heritage but also strengthens the character of the younger generation in facing the challenges of globalization. Effective integration between formal education and local wisdom is the key to the success of character education in Indonesia.
