Koneksi matematis merupakan bagian penting yang harus dilatihkan pada setiap jenjang pendidikan termasuk sekolah dasar. Semakin banyak siswa yang memiliki kemampuan koneksi matematis, maka pembelajaran akan bermakna dan optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal bangun datar. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas IV SDN 2 Ambalresmi, Kecamatan Ambal, Kabupaten Kebumen yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes yang berupa tes kemampuan koneksi matematis dan instrumen non tes yaitu wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menyebutkan bahwa kemampuan koneksi matematis yang dimiliki siswa pada materi bangun datar masih terbilang rendah. Mengingat pentingnya koneksi matematis dan fakta mengenai kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa, diharapkan guru mampu merancang kegiatan pembelajaran yang dapat memfasilitasi siswa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis.

This research is based on the critical thinking skills of elementary school students. The goal of this research is to find out how the influence of cinematic video media towards students' critical thinking; to find out the different influence of cinematic video media and conventional learning on students' critical thinking skills; and to find out how the students’ respond to learning using cinematic video media. The design of this research is quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent control group design. The population of this research is the class V elementary school students in Cisarua Subdistrict with a research sample of SDN Ciuyah II class V as the experimental class and SDN Cisalak II class V as the control class. The instruments used in this research are thinking ability test questions, teacher observation sheets and student activities, attitude scale questionnaires, and interviews. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that: There is a positive influence that shows an increase in the ability of students in the experimental class, the use of better video media on how to improve students' thinking skills, and most students in the experimental class respond positively to learning using cinematic video media.

Critical thinking can encourage students to solve problems in a collaborative way or work with peers. The purpose of the study was to determine the improvement of critical thinking and collaboration students by using the Problem Based Learning modelin flood material. This study uses a quasi-experimental method and nonequivalent control group design research design using critical thinking instruments and collaborative questionnaires. The population of the study was all students in class V of Cimalaka Subdistrict with a sample of class V students of SDN Cilimbangan experimental class and fifth grade students of SDN Citimun II control class. The conclusions of this study: 1) Science learning using the Problem Based Learning model can significantly improve students critical thinking skills, 2) Science learning using the Problem Based Learning model is better at improving students critical thinking skills than using expository learning. 3) Science learning using the Problem Based Learning model can improve students collaborative abilities compared to expository learning.

AbstrakBanyaknya model pembelajaran yang harus diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran IPS di Sekolah Dasar mengharuskan siswa paham apa yang terkandung pada konsep dalam IPS tersebut. Dalam pembelajaran IPS dapat mengaitkan pendidikan karakter sebagai acuan terhadap siswa agar senantiasa memiliki nilai moral yang baik untuk direalisasikan. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi atau menimbulkan siswa dapat termotivasi dan memiliki tanggung jawab pada diri sendiri dalam proses pembelajaran agar mendapatkan langsung pengalaman belajar dalam kegiatan pembelajaran IPS yang mengaitkan pendidikan karakter adalah dengan menggunakan pembelajaran model pembelajaran Student Team Achievement Division (STAD). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan model STAD dalam meningkatkan tanggung jawab yang ada pada diri siswa. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian pendekatan kualitatif yang menggunakan desain tindakan level 1. Subjek penelitian yang diambil adalah seluruh siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 32 orang. Teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah Purposive Sampling sehingga yang dipilih menjadi sampel atau informan dalam penelitian ini adalah guru dan mahasiswa UPI. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa penerapan model Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) dalam meningkatkan karakter tanggung jawab siswa memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap proses pembelajaran IPS melalui merencanakan tindakan, melaksanakan tindakan, dan hambatan yang muncul dari tindakan model STAD. Dengan adanya temuan ini akan berimplikasi terhadap kualitas siswa terutama dari segi perilaku dalam proses pembelajaran dan pemahaman konsep IPS dalam model penerapan model Student Team Achievement Division (STAD).

Rendahnya pemahaman peserta didik terhadap kemampuan konseptual dan kemampuan prosedural menjadi latar belakang penelitian ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni mengetahui kesulitan siswa secara konseptual dan secara prosedural dalam pemecahan masalah matematis dalam keliling dan luas segitiga. Subjek berjumlah 28 siswa kelas IV SDN Jatibatur 3. Metode yang digunakan yakni deskriptif tipe cross sectional survey. Instrumen yang digunakan yakni tes kemampuan dasar dan tes diagnostik. Simpulan menyatakan bahwa kemampuan prosedural siswa terbagi menjadi dua kesalahan, kesalahan konsep perhitungan dengan persentase sebesar 63,33% dan kesalahan konsep keliling dan luas segitiga dengan persentase sebesar 58,33%. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah tertinggi yang dicapai siswa yakni tahap memahami masalah dengan persentase sebesar 53,7%, sedangkan kemampuan terendah yaitu tahap penafsiran solusi dengan persentase sebesar 10%.

Matematika memiliki peranan penting dalam kehidupan. Namun, dalam praktiknya siswa masih menganggap matematika sebagai mata pelajaran yang sulit. Kesulitan yang dihadapi anak khususnya pada materi geometri dapat berdampak pada kesulitan lain pada materi selanjutnya karena konsep dasar pada pokok bahasan matematika saling berhubungan. Maka, pemahaman konsep dalam matematika sangat penting bagi siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesulitan pemahaman matematis siswa. Menggunakan metode deskriptif, penelitian ini menganalisis lima puluh dua jawaban siswa dari berbagai sekolah sebagai subjek dan beberapa guru sebagai responden. Instrumen pengumpul data berupa tes diagnostik, angket respon guru, dan pedoman wawancara. Uji coba istrumen angket, diuji validitas dan reliabilitas dengan menggunakan SPSS 4.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesulitan yang dihadapi siswa berkisar pada konsep hubungan keruangan, abnormalitas persepsi visual, kesulitan mengenal dan memahami simbol serta kesulitan bahasa dan membaca. Sementara berdasarkan respon guru, metode guided-reinvention sebagai rencana solusi yang diajukan dianggap layak untuk digunakan kepada siswa.

This study discusses the effect of using creative and fun learning models through the Project Based Learning (PjBL) method on increasing student achievement. The problem in this study is the low learning achievement of fifth grade students in Indonesian subject matter at the Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT) Insani City of Sukabumi. The research method used is a quasi-experimental research design with Non-Equivalent Pre-test - Post-Test Control Group Design. Based on the normality, homogeneity, and t-test data from the pretest posttest data for understanding the concepts of students in the experimental class and the control class. The use of the Project Based Learning (PjBl) method for fifth grade students is expected to improve student achievement in Indonesian subjects at SDIT Insani Sukabumi City, West Java – Indonesia.

Writing is an essential aspect of language learning and for the language skills needs of elementary school students. However, the self-efficacy of elementary school teachers towards teaching writing is known by little. Teachers' self-efficacy towards teaching writing affects their perceptions and judgments, influencing instructional decisions during student learning activities. This study aimed to describe elementary school teachers’ self-efficacy in teaching writing in the classroom. This research was completed by a quantitative approach with a survey method of 13 elementary school teachers. The research’s results indicate that the self-efficacy of elementary school teachers on writing lessons is still not optimal. Almost all teachers (11 out of 13) were at the 61-70% self-efficacy in teaching writing. 1 out of 13 teachers has achieved 60% self-efficacy in learning to write along with the percentage of self-efficacy of elementary school teachers in teaching writing. And only one teacher who has a level of > 70% self-efficacy in learning to write. Changing writing practice in elementary school will require individualized instructional methods to meet student needs as well as the personal assessment of self-efficacy to ensure that beliefs do not hinder the delivery of effective instructional writing practices.

In the 2013 curriculum implementation module, it is explained that Project Based Learning is a learning model that uses projects/activities as the core of learning. Students explore, judgments, interpretations, synthesis, and information to produce various learning form. This research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of Project Based Learning with the help of picture media on the skills of writing ad text. The scope of this research is writing ad text skills with the help of picture media. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method, one group pre-test post-test design. The population of this study was elementary school students of class V. The sample was determined by simple random sampling technique. The process of collecting data by assigning students to write ad text. The data analysis technique used is the Wilcoxon test. The results of the data analysis showed that there were differences in the writing skills of fifth grade elementary school students using picture media and without using picture media. Then it can be proven that picture media has a higher effect than conventional methods on the ability to write advertising text

One aspect that is seriously affected by the COVID-19 pandemic is the continuity of education's teaching and learning process, especially in the initial reading. This study explores initial reading teaching activities, which are currently mainly carried out virtually in terms of virtual platforms used, methods, learning resources, the conveniences, and obstacles faced by the teachers in several schools. The research method used was a Survey with a cross-sectional survey design. Research data was obtained online by using google form media. The respondents involved in this study were 18 elementary school teachers who taught in the lower grades and came from 18 different elementary schools. The results showed that in teaching and learning initial reading virtually, the platform used was WhatsApp video call, the most widespread method used was the syllable method, and the most widely used learning resource was textbooks provided by the school. The convenience faced by teachers when carrying out virtual reading lessons is the availability of flexible time in teaching activities. In contrast, the limited teaching time, the unstable internet connections, and the limitations of the facilities also infrastructure owned by parents become the obstacles to the virtual initial reading learning process.
