Abstract

Abstract.  The focus of the problem in this research is how;  1) the description of maccera manurung cultural values.  2) what are the implications of Maccera Manurung's cultural values in guidance and counseling services. The purpose of this study is to find out;  1) the description of maccera manurung cultural values.  2) the implications of Maccera Manurung cultural values in guidance and counseling services. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The data analysis in this study is descriptive, qualitative data analysis. The subjects of this research are traditional figures, students who have implemented Maccera Manurung culture and Counseling Guidance Teacher. The results of this study show a general description of Maccera Manurung culture in the Kaluppini community and the main values in the Maccera Manurung procession that are related to the value of guidance and counseling.  these values are described in the maccera manurung culture procession, including: ma’balla (respect for others, empathy, respect for God, cooperation) massajo (responsibility, trustworthiness, courage, honesty, discipline, love for the motherland) kasiturutan (togetherness, regularity, discipline, tolerance, manners).  The implications of Maccera Manurung cultural values in the guidance and counseling services in this study were identified in the form of basic services in the field of personal and social guidanceKeywords: Maccera Manurung Cultural Values, guidance and counseling

Abstract

Learning anxiety is a feeling that arises when a person is unable to control himself or is helpless in certain circumstances. Usually, people who experience anxiety have several reactions, such as a racing heart, tension, and even emotion. anxiety becomes an obstacle in the learning process that can reduce the performance of a person's cognitive functions, such as in concentrating, remembering, forming concepts and solving problems. The humanistic existential approach is a theory that focuses on the human condition which focuses on an attitude that emphasizes an understanding of humans. The existential approach also directs individuals to become more aware that they have the freedom to choose and act, and then helps them make life choices that enable them to actualize themselves and achieve a meaningful life. Existential therapy can help counselees to be able to deal with the anxiety of choosing for themselves and then accept the reality that they are more than just victims of the power of determining outside themselves.

Abstract

The implementation of this community service activity aims to raise awareness and understanding, as well as improve the ability of teachers at Hafizh Al Qurbah YAJI Elementary School in providing counseling services to students at school as well as providing initial psychological support for students who are experiencing academic, personal and social problems with friends. peers or family. Method of implementing service. The methods used in carrying out this community service activity are lecture, question-answer and resonance methods. Mental health workshop activities are in order to increase the capacity of teachers in providing counseling services to students and parents in the Hafizh Al Qurban YAJI Elementary School environment. This activity was carried out directly (offline) with teachers in all SD Hafizh Al Qurbah YAJI units. This activity was carried out in 3 sessions, namely: 1) the first session was the delivery of material using the lecture method containing an explanation of the definition, form and steps (SOP) in providing counseling to students; 2) The second session continued with exploration and activities related to increasing insight and skills in implementing counseling SOPs; and 3) the third session was carried out with applied coercion in carrying out the stages, steps and procedures of counseling. The level of success in community service activities is measured through indicators of the process of involvement and increasing insight carried out by Hafizh Al Qurban Elementary School teachers in providing counseling services to students and parents.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application and understanding of business ethics in the Islamic perspective on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) in the Old Baturaja market, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. The data collection method in this study uses qualitative methods. There are two types of data that researchers use in this study, namely primary data and secondary data. In this research, the data techniques used include observation, interviews and documentation. The respondents in this study were 10 UMKM traders in the Old Baturaja market. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that traders in the Old Baturaja market still lack understanding of the ethics of buying and selling and some of them also consider the application of buying and selling ethics is not very important in trading. The understanding of traders in the Old Baturaja market is still very limited, most of them think that lying in buying and selling is like a culture. Because by being less honest or lying they can minimize their losses and get more profit. However, some of them fulfill the ethics of buying and selling that are good and right. Traders in the Old Baturaja market have not fully implemented the ethics of buying and selling properly. Such as honest trading ethics, not hoarding goods, prioritizing customer satisfaction, it has not been fully implemented by traders so that there are still buyers who feel disappointed. Abstract

This study explored the dual role of code-switching in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classrooms, examining whether it functioned more as a tool to support comprehension or as a hindrance to fluency development. Employing a qualitative descriptive design, the research involved three English teachers and ten intermediate-level students in a bilingual educational context. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis, and were analysed thematically. Findings revealed that when used strategically and sparingly, code-switching served as an effective pedagogical scaffold, enhancing comprehension, reducing learners’ anxiety, and fostering confidence—particularly among lower-proficiency students. Teachers reported that occasional use of the students’ first language (L1) maintained lesson flow and facilitated understanding of complex material. However, excessive reliance on code-switching was found to limit students’ opportunities to practice English, foster dependency on L1, and impede the development of fluency and communicative competence. These findings underscored the need for a balanced and principled approach to code-switching, where teachers used L1 judiciously to support learning while progressively increasing English use to promote fluency. The study contributed to the ongoing debate on the pedagogical value of code-switching, highlighting its potential as a flexible instructional strategy when applied thoughtfully within learners’ sociocultural and linguistic contexts.

Abstract

The research aimed to determine whether verbal-linguistic intelligence significantly influences students’ writing performance. Nineteen students from the TBIG 2 class of 2024 participated in the study. The students’ verbal-linguistic intelligence was measured using a questionnaire, while their writing scores were obtained from the course lecturer. The data were analyzed using the Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient with SPSS version 27. The analysis revealed a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.654 with a significance value (p) of 0.002. These results indicate a strong positive correlation, meaning students with higher verbal-linguistic intelligence tend to perform better in writing tasks. The findings support Gardner’s theory of Multiple Intelligences, emphasizing the contribution of verbal-linguistic intelligence to students’ language skills, particularly in expressing ideas effectively in written form. Based on the statistical evidence, the study concludes that verbal-linguistic intelligence has a significant correlation with the writing ability of EFL students at UIN Datokarama Palu.

Abstract

Fenomena yang tejadi dilapangan terdapat tren peningkatan angka pengunduran diri santri baru yang signifikan selama tiga tahun terakhir. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh kelekatan orang tua terhadap kecemasan berpisah pada santri baru tingkat MTs di Pesantren Annajah Bekasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain kausal asosiatif. sampel berjumlah 155 santri baru, dan teknik sampling yg digunakan adalah convenience sampling. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan skala likert yaitu skala kelekatan orang tua (IPPA) dan skala kecemasan berpisah (SASI). Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah analiss regresi sederhana. Analisis data dihitung menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS versi 25.0 untuk windows 64-bit. Hasil penelitian menujukkan nilai signifikansi dari kelekatan orang tua 0,000 0,05, maka Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak, artinya kelekatan orang tua dapat menjadi prediktor kecemasan perpisahan pada santri baru tingkat MTs. Hasil uji koefisien determinasi menyatakan R Square sebesar 0,889 maka besaran pengaruh kelekatan orang tua menjadi prediktor kecemasan berpisah pada santri baru sebesar 88,9%, sedangkan sisa 11,1% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of religiosity, education level, and income on the intention to donate waqf through Cash Waqf Linked Deposit (CWLD). CWLD is an Islamic waqf innovation that places waqf funds in Islamic bank deposits, where the returns are utilized for social activities such as public facilities development, education, and healthcare. This research employs a quantitative method with purposive sampling, involving 80 respondents from Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) who have participated in CWLD. Data was collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that religiosity does not significantly affect the intention to donate waqf (p = 0.726), while education level (p = 0.000) and income (p = 0.018) have significant influences. This suggests that individuals with higher education and income levels are more likely to participate in CWLD. In conclusion, increasing waqf literacy, expanding socialization, and implementing inclusive policies are necessary to enhance CWLD accessibility, allowing it to contribute more effectively to Indonesia's social and economic development.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which most often attacks various organs, especially the lungs. This study aimed to determine the relationship between knowledge and TB patients' attitudes toward compliance with tuberculosis drugs at the Helvetia Medan Health Center. This type of research used an analytical observational method with the cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used was quota sampling, with 75 respondents. Data collection in this study used to form sheets in questionnaires given to respondents directly and data analysis using the chi-square test. The results showed that respondents with good knowledge were 29 respondents (38.7%), good enough 33 respondents (44%), not good enough 12 respondents (16%), and not good one respondent (1.3%). A good attitude was 23 respondents (30.7%), good enough 37 respondents (49.3%), not good enough 14 respondents (18.7%), and not good one respondent (1.3%). Obedient compliance to TB medication was 25 respondents (33.3%), quite obedient 33 respondents (44%), and less obedient 17 respondents (22.7%).  This study concluded that knowledge and attitude had a significant relationship with adherence to tuberculosis medication, with a knowledge p-value of 0.003 <0.05 and an attitude p-value of 0.037 <0.05. Healthcare professionals must employ innovative strategies to enhance knowledge and attitudes, raise public awareness, and ensure full compliance with the TB treatment program. It is crucial to implement this measure to mitigate the future prevalence of antibiotic resistance in treating tuberculosis.

Abstract

This article is aimed at studying the bias of the pesantren orientation, pesantren transformation and its implication on the institutional development of the pesantren. The findings give indication that this educational institution has, slowly but surely, been unable to realize its identity as the agent of social changes. At the same time, young generation who are graduates of both general and Islamic high schools and universities have begun to play a strategic role in the management and leadership of pesantren in particular and ummah in general. Therefore, it is essential for pesantren to understand the basic idea of modernization in education. With this knowledge, pesantren will be able to make some revision toward the ideal form of pesantren in the future.
