Abstract

This study aims to culturally adapt and evaluate the Indonesian version of the Child and Adolescent Resilience Measure (CYRM) among boarding school students. The adaptation followed standard guidelines, including forward and backward translation by linguists and expert panel reviews, to ensure cultural and linguistic relevance. A total of 362 students from four Islamic boarding schools in Central Java participated. Reliability testing showed strong internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha = 0.85) and composite reliability above the ≥0.70 standard. Construct validity was confirmed through exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, supported by expert judgment on content validity. Model fit indices indicated excellent results (CFI = 0.937, RMSEA = 0.046, SRMR = 0.049). The CYRM structure comprises three dimensions Individual, Relational, and Contextual that capture personal capacity, social support, and cultural context in the face of challenges. Findings demonstrate that the Indonesian CYRM is a reliable and valid tool for measuring resilience, offering culturally appropriate support for research and interventions in Islamic boarding schools. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of self-acceptance and gratitude in mediating the influence of social support on subjective well-being. The research sample consisted of 102 mothers of children with special needs aged 1–12 years, selected through purposive sampling. The instruments used included the SWLS (Satisfaction with Life Scale) and PANAS (Positive Affect Negative Affect Schedule) to measure subjective well-being; GQ-6 (Gratitude Questionnaire) to assess gratitude; MSPSS (Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support) to assess social support; and PPAS (Porter Parent Acceptance Scale) to assess self-acceptance. Data were analyzed using path analysis mediation with JASP version 18.3. Scientifically, this research contributes to expanding psychological understanding of internal and external factors that influence parental subjective well-being through positive emotional mechanisms. The findings show that self-acceptance and gratitude significantly mediate the effect of social support on subjective well-being, with a total contribution of 97.4%. Abstract

Adolescents during their development are required to have good social intelligence to be able to establish relationships and adapt to their social environment, however, this low social intelligence is reflected in the high rate of violence and bullying in schools as a manifestation of individual failure to understand, empathize, and manage relationships with others. The study was conducted to determine the effect of group guidance services with problem-solving techniques to improve social intelligence. This study applied a quantitative approach using an experimental research method of one-group pre-test post-test design. The intervention was given to a group of 7 students with low social intelligence, which was measured using a Likert scale instrument that had been tested for validity and reliability. The intervention was carried out in 5 sessions with a duration of 70-90 minutes per session using problem-solving stages, which included identifying and formulating the problems faced, analyzing the problems, formulating temporary assumptions or hypotheses, collecting relevant data or information, and compiling recommendations as the most appropriate alternative solutions to the problem. Data analysis used a paired sample t-test, with the results showing an increase in social intelligence scores after the intervention with a significance value of p < 0.05. The hypothesis of this study was that there would be a difference in students' social intelligence levels before and after receiving problem-solving group guidance services. However, the small sample size limits the generalizability of the results. This study suggests that problem-solving group guidance services can be an alternative intervention to help students improve their social intelligence.
