Abstract

Objective: This study aims to compare the results of statistical data analysis using SPSS and Artificial Intelligence (AI), specifically ChatGPT, in processing students’ learning outcomes. A quantitative experimental method was employed with a sample of 100 numerical data points representing students’ academic performance. Method: This research is a comparative study, with processing outcomes in SPSS and ChatGPT.  Results:  Both SPSS and ChatGPT were utilized to perform statistical tests and analyze the same dataset. The findings indicate that both tools produced consistent results, demonstrating ChatGPT’s potential as a complementary analytical tool. However, SPSS remains superior in terms of accuracy, academic legitimacy, and the availability of comprehensive features officially recognized in the research community. ChatGPT offers advantages in its simplicity, accessibility, and efficiency, particularly for quick analysis without software installation, making it a practical tool for educators and novice researchers. Novelty: In formal academic research contexts, SPSS remains the primary choice for ensuring methodological rigor and credibility, while AI-driven tools such as ChatGPT can serve as effective companions to support the analytical process and facilitate statistical learning. This study highlights the potential synergy between traditional statistical software and emerging AI technologies, emphasizing the importance of selecting tools that align with research needs, context, and academic standards. The findings provide insights into the evolving role of AI in research practices, suggesting that while AI enhances accessibility and user experience, conventional statistical software remains indispensable for high-stakes research validation.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze research trends on the concept of parallel worlds within metaphysical studies and its connections to both modern and classical physics. The focus is on exploring the relationship between metaphysical perspectives, cultural traditions, and scientific theories such as relativity, dimensions, and thermodynamics. Method: This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and bibliometric analysis. Data were collected from various international academic databases covering publications from the last five years and were analyzed thematically to identify patterns, conceptual linkages, and emerging research trends. Results: The analysis reveals a growing number of publications discussing parallel worlds and metaphysics over the past five years. Many studies integrate traditional and cultural wisdom with modern physics, positioning the field as a multidisciplinary endeavor bridging philosophy and science. Novelty: This study finds that parallel worlds are closely connected to metaphysics and physics, particularly in the context of space-time dimensions, relativity, quantum mechanics, and thermodynamic principles. The integration of cultural, philosophical, and scientific perspectives highlights that metaphysics is not solely speculative but can be examined scientifically through interdisciplinary approaches.

Abstract

Becoming a world-class open and distance learning university involves developing academic products by improving the quality of academic services and service reach for the entire community. Therefore, developing MOOC content in UT's Learning Management System (LMS) using the Self-Paced Instruction model is crucial. The lack of topics in UT's MOOCs needs to be addressed wisely. The issues to be addressed are the validity of the MOOC content on the topic of Designing an Assessment of Creativity for Elementary School Students linked to the UT LMS, and the competencies/learning outcomes and responses of students using the developed online course, This development research design uses the four-D model (4-D model), adapted from Thiagarajan et al., with the stages Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The research was conducted at the UT Surabaya UPBJJ (Education and Training Center) and Unesa (Unesa) as a collaborative research and development partner. Data were obtained from expert validation of MOOC content, learning outcomes, and responses from online course participants during limited trials in the Bojonegoro and Lamongan Learning Groups (Pokjar). The validation data from three education experts were described and the mean was determined. The online course participant test scores were reviewed and compared against the graduation criteria established by UT. The questionnaire response data was analyzed using percentages and described qualitatively. The development of the MOOC content for elementary school students' Creativity Assessment was found to be valid and reliable. Student learning outcomes improved. Students provided very positive responses, and the MOOCs can be accessed by all users of the UT LMS
