Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) dengan pemanfaatan media replika tangan manusia dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep mekanisme gerak dan sistem kendali saraf pada siswa kelas VI SD Muhammadiyah 2 Kupang. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya tingkat pemahaman konseptual siswa terhadap sistem gerak dan saraf manusia yang disebabkan oleh metode pembelajaran yang masih bersifat abstrak dan minimnya fasilitas sekolah yang mendukung pembelajaran berbasis praktik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 23 siswa kelas VI yang terlibat dalam dua kali pertemuan pembelajaran selama dua minggu. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PjBL dengan media replika tangan manusia secara signifikan berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konseptual siswa mengenai koordinasi antara sistem saraf dan mekanisme gerak manusia. Siswa menunjukkan keterlibatan yang lebih tinggi, antusiasme dalam belajar, serta pemahaman yang lebih mendalam karena secara langsung berpartisipasi dalam proses perancangan dan penerapan proyek replika tangan. Guru berperan sebagai fasilitator yang membimbing setiap tahapan pelaksanaan proyek sehingga siswa mampu mengintegrasikan aspek teoretis dan praktis secara bermakna. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis proyek yang didukung oleh media konkret efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA, khususnya pada materi yang bersifat abstrak.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the application of the Deep Learning approach in teaching mathematics in the first grade of addition and subtraction of numbers 1 to 20 in a story problem through the concrete media Si PONPEL and the educational game Quizizz Paper Mode. This technology-based learning is intended to make learning more interactive and enjoyable, but does not require personal digital devices. Qualitative and quantitative data were collected through a mixed-method research design to measure student understanding the result show that the Si PONPEL and Quizizz Paper Mode methods successfully improved students’ understanding of basic mathematical concepts, with an average increase in student scores of 38.33%. In addition, findings from interviews conducted with teachers and students showed that the Si PONPEL concrete media and this technology made students more engaged and motivated to learn. It is hoped that this research will make a significant contribution to creating more inclusive and interactive mathematics kearning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Deep Learning approach compared to the conventional Surface Learning approach in improving students’ understanding of addition and subtraction concepts in Grade II elementary school. The research employed a quantitative method with a Quasi-Experimental Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample consisted of 54 students divided into an experimental class (n = 27) and a control class (n = 27) at SD Muhammadiyah Terpadu Ponorogo. Data were collected using learning outcome tests (pre-test and post-test). Data analysis was conducted using an independent sample t-test. The results show a significant difference between the experimental and control groups, with t-count > t-table (5.42 > 2.00) and a significance value of p < 0.05. The average N-Gain of the experimental class was 0.71 (high category), compared to the control class at 0.35 (medium category). It is concluded that the Deep Learning approach is effective in significantly improving students’ mathematical understanding.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly influenced mathematics learning in elementary schools. This study aims to describe the integration of digital media and educational games in teaching whole numbers to fifth-grade students. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research was conducted at SD Negeri Kedungsari in November 2025 with 17 participants. Data were collected through participatory observation, documentation, and teacher reflection notes, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model. The integration process involved four stages: planning, implementation, collaboration, and evaluation. Digital applications such as Quizizz, Wordwall, and Math Games were combined with contextual educational games, including place-value pocket activities. Findings revealed that 88% of students showed positive responses to digital media, while 82% benefited from educational games. The results of student understanding were very positive, the results of the T test showed that the Sig. value was 0.176 (> 0.05) which means there was a significant difference between the pretest and posttest (before and after using digital media and educational games). The results demonstrate that combining digital media and educational games enhances motivation, collaboration, and numeracy skills. This study highlights the importance of innovative, technology-based approaches to strengthen foundational mathematics learning in Indonesian elementary schools.

Abstract

Students' problem-solving skills remains a challenge because mathematics instruction often emphasizes procedures over creativity and rarely incorporates students' cultural contexts. This study explores the impact of Project-Based Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) on students' creative thinking and problem- solving skill, as well as teacher's perceptions of cultural integration in mathematics instruction. This explanatory sequential design study involved a class of 15 eighth- grade students and a mathematics teacher. Data were collected through observations, project assignments, tests, and questionnaires. The results showed that students' creative thinking indicatorsfluency, flexibility, and originalitywere in the excellent category, while elaboration increased from 79.17 (good) to 87.5 (excellent). Furthermore, there was a significant improvement in students' problem- solving skills, with an average pre-test score of 49.33 increasing to 64.33 (p < 0.05). The teacher responded that project-based CRT helped students develop more effective problem-solving strategies. These findings suggest that project-based CRT can foster students' creative thinking and problem-solving skill in mathematics. Teachers are encouraged to design problem-solving activities that connect mathematical concepts to students' cultural experiences to foster deeper understanding and more equitable learning opportunities

Abstract

Improving school quality has become a strategic issue in contemporary education, requiring professional, systematic, and sustainable school management. Numerous studies have examined the role of educational management in enhancing school quality; however, existing findings remain fragmented, context-specific, and have not been comprehensively synthesized. Therefore, this study aims to systematically synthesize the literature on educational management in improving school quality. This research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method guided by the PRISMA framework. The review process involved formulating research questions, searching international and national databases indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and Sinta, applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, and conducting quality assessment of the selected studies. A total of 49 articles were analyzed and classified into relevant, considered, and not relevant categories. The synthesis results indicate that the main themes of the literature focus on school leadership, school-based management, internal quality assurance systems, and the management of educational resources. Effective management strategies include instructional and transformational leadership, data-based strategic planning, continuous professional development for teachers, and the implementation of sustainable quality management systems. The success of these strategies is influenced by principals’ leadership capacity, teachers’ competence and motivation, school culture, availability of resources, and stakeholder support. This study concludes that improving school quality is not the result of a single policy or program but emerges from the synergy of multiple educational management functions implemented in an integrated and context-responsive manner. ABSTRAK Peningkatan mutu sekolah merupakan isu strategis dalam pendidikan kontemporer yang menuntut pengelolaan sekolah secara profesional, sistematis, dan berkelanjutan. Berbagai penelitian telah membahas peran manajemen pendidikan dalam peningkatan mutu sekolah, namun temuan-temuan tersebut masih tersebar, bersifat parsial, dan belum tersintesis secara komprehensif. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mensintesis secara sistematis kajian-kajian terkait manajemen pendidikan dalam peningkatan mutu sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan mengacu pada pedoman PRISMA. Proses penelitian meliputi perumusan pertanyaan penelitian, penelusuran literatur pada basis data internasional dan nasional terindeks Scopus, WoS, dan Sinta, seleksi artikel berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi, serta penilaian kualitas studi. Sebanyak 49 artikel dianalisis, yang selanjutnya diklasifikasikan menjadi relevan, dipertimbangkan, dan tidak relevan. Hasil sintesis menunjukkan bahwa tema utama penelitian berpusat pada kepemimpinan sekolah, manajemen berbasis sekolah, penjaminan mutu internal, serta pengelolaan sumber daya pendidikan. Strategi manajemen yang efektif meliputi kepemimpinan instruksional dan transformasional, perencanaan berbasis data, pengembangan profesional guru, serta penerapan sistem manajemen mutu berkelanjutan. Keberhasilan implementasi strategi tersebut dipengaruhi oleh kapasitas kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, kompetensi dan motivasi guru, budaya sekolah, ketersediaan sumber daya, serta dukungan pemangku kepentingan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa peningkatan mutu sekolah merupakan hasil sinergi berbagai fungsi manajemen pendidikan yang dijalankan secara terpadu dan adaptif terhadap konteks sekolah.

Abstract

The development of digital technology in the 21st century has driven a transformation in the education system, particularly in the use of interactive learning tools. One of the emerging technologies is the Interactive Flat Panel (IFP), which is able to provide more interactive, collaborative, and student-centered learning. The purpose of this study is to examine the use of IFP in an effort to increase the learning motivation of 10th-grade students at SMAN 9 Gowa. This study applies a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection methods through observation, interviews, learning motivation questionnaires, and documentation. The results showed that before the use of IFP, student learning motivation was relatively low, with only 46% of students showing enthusiasm for learning. After the implementation of IFP, there was a significant increase, namely 78% of students felt more interested, 72% found it easier to understand the material, and 65% were more confident in participating. These findings indicate that the use of IFP can increase students' intrinsic motivation by fulfilling the needs for autonomy, competence, and connectedness, as explained in Self-Determination Theory. This research emphasizes the importance of teacher training and providing adequate digital infrastructure so that IFP is utilized not only as a visual medium, but also as a strategic instrument in supporting educational transformation that is adaptive, innovative, and relevant to the demands of the 21st century.

Abstract

Limited educational facilities and infrastructure often become obstacles in the teaching and learning process, especially in remote areas such as South Sorong. Muhammadiyah 2 Maklit Elementary School faces this challenge by implementing nature-based learning as an alternative to maximize the potential of the surrounding environment. This research aims to analyze the implementation, challenges, and solutions of nature-based learning in overcoming the limitations of facilities and infrastructure at Muhammadiyah 2 Maklit Elementary School.The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection through field observations, interviews and documentation. The results of the study indicate that nature-based learning is effective in increasing student engagement, motivating them to learn, and enriching the understanding of the concepts taught. This approach provides a creative solution to the limited facilities, while encouraging appreciation for the surrounding environment. The obstacles to nature-based learning at SD Muhammadiyah 2 Maklit include lack of teacher understanding, dense curriculum, weather constraints, limited operational costs, and minimal support from the school or parents. Solutions to overcome obstacles to nature-based learning include optimizing the school area, teacher training, collaboration with the community, schedule management, and socialization to parents.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of simulation media in teaching the circulatory system in elementary schools and to analyze student learning outcomes after its application. The background of the research stems from students’ difficulties in understanding the abstract concept of blood circulation, which has often been explained only verbally or through static images. The concept of blood flow involving body organs is frequently difficult to grasp without concrete experiences. Therefore, a simple simulation medium was developed by asking students to arrange papers labeled with organs (heart, lungs, upper and lower body) and simulate the pathways of systemic and pulmonary circulation using oxygen and carbon dioxide cards. The research employed a quantitative descriptive approach with 28 sixth-grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 2 Bojonegoro as subjects. The instruments consisted of independent student worksheets (LKPD) and formative assessments. The learning process was carried out through stages of orientation, teacher demonstration, independent exploration, group discussion, and collective reflection. Data from the LKPD showed an overall average score of 3.29, categorized as good, reflecting students’ ability to place organs correctly, arrange the sequence of blood flow, and understand the basic concept of circulation. Meanwhile, the formative assessment results indicated an average score of 85.49, with the majority of students falling into the Good and Very Good categories, and none in the Poor category. These findings align with constructivist theory, which emphasizes the importance of concrete experiences and visualization in understanding abstract concepts. Simulation media proved effective in enhancing student engagement, strengthening conceptual understanding, and fostering independent learning as well as representational skills. Thus, simulation media is recommended as an innovative learning strategy for science education in elementary schools.

Abstract

Educational culture is a fundamental element in shaping the character and identity of students. East Flores, as a region rich in traditional customs, religious values, and social solidarity, has a distinctive and contextual educational culture. However, the development of modern education, which tends to be uniform and oriented towards academic achievement, poses challenges in preserving local values. This study aims to examine the educational culture in East Flores and analyze the urgency of integrating local wisdom into the modern education system. The research method used is a literature study with a descriptive-qualitative approach to scientific literature, education policies, and relevant research results from the last five years. The results of the study show that the educational culture in East Flores emphasizes a balance between intellectual, moral, social, and spiritual aspects. Families, indigenous communities, religious leaders, and schools play an important role in the character education process. The integration of local wisdom into the curriculum and learning is considered capable of increasing the relevance of education and strengthening the identity of students amid the tide of globalization.
