Abstract

Abstrak Peraturan BPOM Nomor 23 Tahun 2019 menjelaskan bahwa kosmetik merupakan kandungan zat yang biasa digunakan untuk dapat mendukung penampilan dan memberikan aroma dan tampilan bagi tubuh, dengan tujuan memberikan manfaat positif bagi tubuh. Sehingga tubuh yang menggunakannya tidak memberikan efek samping baik dalam jangka pendek maupun jangka panjang.  Hidrokuinon merupakan bagian senyawa golongan fenol. Senyawa fenol adalah bagian dari senyawa yang dapat mengalami oksidasi, apabila senyawa  fenol tidak terjaga dengan baik dan dalam keadaan terbuka dapat mengakibatkan warna dan pembentukan oksidasi yang disebabkan terakumulasi dengan udara dan menyebabkan adanya ikatan lain yang terjadi. Adapun tujuan untuk penelitian ini, yaitu menganalisis kandungan hidrokuinon pada kosmetik cair. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan HPLC (high pressure liquid chromatography) atau kromatografi cair kinerja tinggi (KCKT). Prinsip kerja dari HPLC, yaitu melakukan sebuah pemisahan komponoen analitik berdasarkan kepolarannya dan adanya indikasi yang muncul dengan bantuan detektor dan diirekam pada kromatogram. Untuk sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kosmetik berbahan cair yang dipilih secara acak. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penyuntikan ulang larutan hidrokuinon yang dilakukan sebanyak 6 kali diperoleh nilai standar baku pembanding dengan waktu yang digunakan adalah 6,132 menit dan 506730 µL/menit. Dari hasil tersebut menunjukkan kandungan yang ada pada sampe kosmetik cair yang telah dilakukan tidak ditemukannya kandungan hidrokuinon atau negatif dan tidak menimbulkan adanya peak yang keluar pada menit tersebut.

Abstract

Siamese oranges in Sambas Regency have the potential to be processed into food products that provide regional characteristics. The area of this plant land is evenly spread over 19 sub-districts in Sambas Regency. However, the total area of plantations owned by Tebas District with a range of area is 1,240,235 per year 2015-2020. The potential of the land area owned by Sambas Regency can have an impact on productivity by-products, so that efforts are made to reduce the incidence of fruit that does not match market demand, processing Siamese orange waste into Jelly Spirals is carried out. Participants who joined in this process were 30 participants and divided into 5 teams with each team consisting of 6 people and divided. The approach used in this activity uses the participatory action research (PAR) method. Participants are people who focus on citrus agricultural products. The results of this activity received a positive response from the community because it provided new information on processed Siamese oranges as raw materials and provided new experiences from this processing activity.

Abstract

Pineapple fruit is a fruit that has distinctive characteristics ranging from aroma, color and shape. This fruit contains many nutrients that are beneficial to the body including bromyelin, vitamin C and other nutrients. This community service activity aims to improve the community's ability to utilize local food ingredients that have the potential to increase village superior products. The problem faced by Sajad Village is that there are frequent losses because agricultural products from pineapples tend to have lower prices to be sold to the market, besides that this loss also causes the motivation of the farmers to decrease. The preparations made in this activity are pineapple syrup, pineapple jam and shredded pineapple and packaging is done on preparations that have been processed. The method used in this community service is through outreach and training. After the training process was completed, each team evaluated the preparations that had been made and the testers were given the opportunity to give their opinion. Based on the activities that have been carried out, the community in Sajad Village, Sambas Regency, is satisfied and helped by the preparations that have been carried out. Another result that can be seen is that participants begin to understand that pineapple has many derivative preparations that can be utilized and are aware of the advantages of consuming pineapple.

Abstract

Kelapa merupakan salah satu tanaman yang memiliki banyak kegunaan pada tiap bagian tubuhnya. Olahan turunan yang dapat dikembangkan mencakup buah, batang, daun dan bagian lainnya. Sambas merupakan salah satu penghasil kelapa yg cukup besar di provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Sehingga tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis estimasi VCO yang dapat dihasilkan berdasarkan luas lahan yang ada. Untuk menghitung luasan ini memanfaatkan sistem informasi geografi menggunakan software Qgis 3.33. Dari hasil analisis ini diperoleh luasan lahan kelapa berjumlah terdapat 7 wilayah kecamatan. Untuk pembagian sebaran wilayah dan besaran yang ada di Kabupaten Sambas yaitu Tangaran (58 ha), Jawai (9.915 ha), Pemangkat (1.830 ha), Jawai Selatan (1.167 ha), Selakau (3.711 ha) dan Salatiga (7.008 ha). Dan estimasi VCO terbesar berada di Kecamatan Jawai dengan produksi yang dihasilkan dapat mencapai ± 9.915 sampai dengan  ± 12.889,5 liter. Sedangkan untuk prduksi terkecil berada pada wilayah Tangaran dengan jumlah estimasi produksi VCO adalah ± 58 – ± 75,4 liter. Pemetaan potensi lahan kelapa ini merupakan kondisi terbaru yang dapat menggambarkan kondisi kelapa dibagian pesisir Kabupaten Sambas. Hasil dari data tersebut menjelaskan bahwa adanya potensi yang besar terhadap hasil produksi VCO di Kabupaten Sambas (±  69.405 buah kelapa/tahun (butir)) yang dapat berdampak terhadap peningkatan ekonomi dan dapat terpenuhi kebutuhan industri skala secara nasional

Abstract

Borax and formalin are chemicals that are prohibited by law as food additives. Borax and formalin contain preservatives that are harmful to the body. There are many uses of borax and formalin in processed food circulating in the community so students must be more careful in choosing healthy foods. This socialization aims to increase students’ knowledge about the dangers of borax and formaldehyde and to be more careful in choosing food. The activity was carried out at Tebas 3 Public Middle School, on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. The socialization method used in this activity focused on communication, information, and education activities. The result of this socialization is that students become more careful in choosing nutritious foods and know the characteristics of foods that contain borax and formalin. Tebas 3 Public Middle School students who are in their teens need a balanced nutritional intake and must consume healthy and nutritious food so that the socialization of the dangers of borax and formalin can increase the knowledge, concern, and understanding of these students

Abstract

Penyampaian pesan-pesan melalui poster, leaflet, dan multimedia diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu cara efektif dalam meningkatkan edukasi gizi pada kader posyandu, ibu balita dan anak sekolah bahkan pada sasaran yang lebih luas.  Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah mengedukasi kader posyandu, ibu balita dan anak sekolah berbasis media di Desa Sukawening. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat yang diselenggarakan Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan Immanuel Bandung tim Program Studi S1 Gizi diantaranya ceramah, video, poster, drama, musik dan demonstrasi.Hasil yang didapat, diantaranya: 1). Terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara pengetahuan kader dengan sebelum (13,4) dan sesudah (16,9). 2) Adanya perbedaan signifikan pengetahuan ibu (0,000, p value < 0,05) setelah diberikan edukasi dengan media. 3). Dari 65 orang siswa kelas 4, 5 dan 6 memiliki nilai rata - rata 9,6 dalam menjawab soal pre-test dan nilai rata - rata 13,2 dalam menjawab soal post-test. Secara stastistik, p value < 0,05 (H0 ditolak) maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan signifikan antara pengetahuan siswa di SD Sukawening sebelum dan sesudah diberikan materi penyuluhan tentang gizi seimbang dan sarapan pagi. 4). Menunjukkan bahwa dari 41 orang siswa kelas 4, 5 dan 6 memiliki nilai rata - rata 9,8 dalam menjawab soal pre-test dan nilai rata - rata 12,9 dalam menjawab soal post-test. Secara stastistik, p value < 0,05 (H0 ditolak) maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan signifikan antara pengetahuan siswa di SD Nenon sebelum dan sesudah diberikan materi penyuluhan tentang gizi seimbang dan sarapan pagi. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah bertambahnya wawasan pada kader posyandu, ibu balita dan anak sekolah di Desa Sukawening setelah diberian edukasi dengan menggunakan media.

Abstract

Community service performed at Immanuel Bandung School of Health Sciences aims to see the relationship of nutritional status and nutritional behavior to female students in MI AL-ISHLAH BANDUNG. Research design of this study was cross-sectional study. Sampling method was purposive sampling and number of subject mere 145 students of 3, 4, 5, and 6 done by purposive sampling with 145 samples of students taken from grade 3, 4, 5 and 6 grade in MI AL-ISHLAH BANDUNG. The assessment is done by using questionnaires pre and post test treatment. The results obtained from community service that is the nutritional status of female students in MI AL-ISHLAH with normal category (-2SD to 1SD), while for the nutrition behavior of female students in MI AL-ISHLAH BANDUNG included in the category less (<60%) . Based on the calculation by using T-test obtained results that are not significant (p-value> 0.05), this is due to lack of motivation in applying nutritional behavior

Abstract

The social context of contributions can be in the form of donations, gifts, or actions carried out by individuals or institutions to improve the welfare of society. Contribution is seen as a concrete form carried out by individuals or institutions which then has a positive or negative impact on society. The elderly are an age group that has entered the final stages of its life phase, which according to WHO has an age range of 60 years and over. Posyandu for the Elderly also functions as a forum for communication, technology transfer and the provision of health services. The purpose of this activity is to find out the activities carried out at the Lansi Posyandu in Sumber Harapan village. The flow of activities carried out when the elderly posyandu is implemented is first distributing serial numbers randomly and then filling in attendance according to the serial number obtained by each elderly person. After that, call the elderly according to their serial number and ask for their KTP to support filling in their data. First of all, the elderly will have their blood pressure checked, weighed, checked and followed by providing an understanding of their medical history and medication. The activities of the Posyandu for the Elderly in Harapan Village have contributed significantly to improving the health and quality of life of the elderly. This activity involves various health services, including routine health checks, distribution of medicines, as well as increasing knowledge about healthy lifestyles and body care.

Abstract

Socialization was carried out in Sebayan Village, which aimed to increase the love for eating fish in an effort to overcome stunting. Fish consumption is still lacking in the community because of the lack of public knowledge regarding the nutrients contained in fish. This socialization activity took place in November 2023 in Sebayan Village. The approach used in this activity was door-to-door. The number of respondents who participated in this community service activity was 65, with 53 female and 12 male respondents. This form of socialization has been approved by village government organizations. The results of this study provide information on fish nutrition in the community. In addition, this activity can also be an effort to help reduce the incidence of stunting. This activity has previously been given a briefing and strengthening knowledge on the love of eating fish. Another aspect of this activity was that it was smooth.

Abstract

Applying a clean and healthy lifestyle is one of the measures to prevent the massive transmission of COVID-19. This study aimed to determine the application of a clean and healthy lifestyle and social-physical distancing carried out by Indonesian students during the new normal of COVID-19. This research was conducted in June 2020 with a cross-sectional study approach, with the number of respondents being 5,924 students in Indonesia. The technique of filling out the questionnaire was done online by Google Forms. Furthermore, respondents would be asked to fill in the available consent letter and answer questions. Based on the results, most respondents were female students with majors in health (3,982 respondents) from undergraduate study programs (2,529 respondents). The place of residence during the pandemic was staying home with the family (2,715 respondents). A clean and healthy lifestyle involves several variables. Those were included touching eyes, nose, and mouth; using hand sanitizer; keeping a mask; opening the door with elbows; touching public equipment; shaking hands; touching with family; washing hands with soap; cleaning; changing clothes; washing masks; personal equipment; and washing hands directly after arrival had a significant relationship, with p<0.005, and p<0.002 for soaking clothes was also significantly related. Therefore, the clean and healthy lifestyle conducted by respondents could be undergone improvement. Also, respondents did not follow the health protocols, which might trigger COVID-19 transmission.
