Abstract

Background: Budidaya udang diwilayah pesisir pantai sebagian besar menjadi pencaharian bagi masyarakat di Aceh Utara. Pemberian pakan udang dilakukan secara manual pada saat pagi dan sore dengan cara menaburkan pakan ke dalam tambak. Pemberian pakan tersebut tidak efektif karena terikat dengan waktu dan ukuran pakan yang diberikan. Hal tersebut yang melatar belakangi tim pengabdian memberikan pengetahuan dengan memperkenalkan prototipe berupa teknologi alat pemberi pakan secara otomatis. Metode: Metode yang dilakukan adalah observasi, perancangan dengan cara merakit dan sosialisasi, serta memperaktekkan secara langsung penggunaan alat otomatis tersebut. Hasil:  Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa petani tambak udang sangat termotivasi untuk dapat segera menggunakan alat pakan udang otomatis karena sangat tepat dalam memperbaiki manajemen pemberian pakan sehingga dapat berkelanjutan agar ketahanan pangan terjaga. Teknologi yang digunakan berupa mikrokontroller Arduino Uno, sensor ultrasonik sebagai pendeteksi volume pakan, RTC sebagai modul pewaktu, Lcd sebagai penampil informasi hari, tanggal, bulan, modul relay, driver motor, dan motor DC. Kesimpulan: Harapan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah akan memberikan pengetahuan dan temuan baru untuk petani tambak sehingga petani mampu merancang pemberian pakan udang secara otomatis untuk memudahkan pemberian pakan agar meningkatkan produktivitas serta menghasilkan kualitas udang.

Abstract

Abstrak Keandalan jaringan distribusi adalah salah satu Key Performance Indicator (KPI) PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara. Data gangguan PLN UP3 Lhokseumawe yang ada saat ini, 7% gangguan disebabkan karena material jaringan, 35,9 % gangguan belum diketahui penyebabnya dan selebihnya gangguan terjadi disebabkan karena hewan, pohon, trafo, dan tiang. Salah satu penyulang paling banyak terjadi gangguan adalah BR-10 di Tahun 2020. Panjang penyulang 110,63 kms melayani daerah kerja ULP Bireuen dengan beban puncak mencapai 1.148 MW. Sampai dengan Agustus 2020 total gangguan sudah mencapai 27 gangguan. Dilakukan inspeksi menggunakan teknologi camera wireless. Camera direkatkan pada stick 20 kV untuk melihat komponen jaringan yang mengalami potensi kerusakan. Hasilnya ada 29 titik temuan dan dilakukan pemeliharaan. Hasilnya penurunan gangguan penyulang BR-10 pada bulan September 2020 menjadi nihil gangguan.Kata kunci : Kamera, Stick, PenyulangAbstract Distribution grid reliability is one of the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara. Concerning disturbances, according to PLN UP3 Lhokseumawe , 7% of disturbances were caused by network material, 35.9% were unknown, and the rest were caused by animals, trees, transformers, and poles. One of the feeders with the most disturbances was BR-10 in 2020. The length of the 110.63 km feeder served the Bireuen ULP work area with a peak load of 1,148 MW. As of August 2020, the total disturbance has reached 27. Inspections were carried out using wireless camera technology. The camera was attached to a 20 kV stick to see which grid components have potential damage. As a result, 29 points were found, and maintenance was carried out. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini memaparkan perhitungan secara ekonomis konsumsi energi listrik pada rumah tipe 54 dengan sistem 220 VDC. Simulasi kedua sistem dilakukan dengan software ETAP. Instalasi dalam simulasi sistem dilakukan terhadap bebanbeban rumah tinggal dengan kabel yang panjangnya disesuaikan dengan jarak menuju beban-beban. Nilai arus, tegangan dan resistansi saluran dapat diketahui dari hasil running program. Nilai rugi-rugi sistem juga dapat diketahui melalui report manager. Perhitungan perencanaan pembangkit listrik tenaga surya (PLTS) ini diarahkan sebagai analisis perbandingan biaya sampai kepada biaya perawatan. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa rugi-rugi total pada instalasi rumah sebesar 0 watt, ini terjadi sebab pada software ETAP hasil simulasi diperlihatkan dalam satuan kWatt.Kata kunci : Energi Listrik, Rumah Tinggal, Sistem 220 VDCAbstract This study describes the economic calculation of the consumption of electrical energy in a type 54 house with a 220 VDC system. Both systems were simulated using ETAP software. The installation in the system simulation is carried out for residential house loads with cables whose length is adjusted to the distance to the loads. The value of current, voltage and line resistance can be known from the results of the running program. The value of system losses can also be known through the report manager. This solar power plant (PLTS) planning calculation is directed as a cost comparison analysis to maintenance costs. The simulation results show that the total losses in home installations are 0 watts, this occurs because in the ETAP software the simulation results are shown in kWt units. Abstract

Distribution of electricity that is too far away can cause the power flow that flows in the distribution channel to be significantly reduced. This also occurs in the PLN distribution line in Krueng Raya Aceh Besar, which is 95 km away, so that the voltage value is often below the standard value. This study analyzes the use of dispersed generators as an alternative solution to overcome this problem while increasing the efficiency of the electricity distribution system. However, the operation of distributed generators can have an impact on distortion harmonics in the voltage, current, and frequency of the power flow in the distribution network system. This study is focused on analyzing the penetration impact of dispersed wind energy generators on the distribution line by conducting simulations using ETAP. The results can increase the average value of the voltage profile by 0.077 kV or 0.39%, reduce power losses by 6.628 kW and THDv values ​​by 0.004% to 0.018% and THDi by 0 on all buses. Penyaluran listrik yang terlalu jauh dapat menyebabkan aliran daya yang mengalir dalam saluran distribusi berkurang secara signifikan. Ini juga terjadi pada saluran distribusi PLN di Krueng Raya Aceh Besar yang jaraknya mencapai 95 km sehingga nilai tegangannya sering berada di bawah nilai standar. Penelitian ini menganalisis penggunaan pembangkit tersebar sebagai alternatif solusi untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut sekaligus meningkatkan efisiensi sistem distribusi listrik. Namun, pengoperasian pembangkit tersebar dapat menimbulkan distorsi harmonisa pada tegangan, arus, dan frekuensi pada aliran daya dalam sistem jaringan distribusi. Studi ini difokuskan pada analisis dampak penetrasi pembangkit tersebar energi angin pada saluran distribusi dengan melakukan simulasi menggunakan ETAP. Hasil penelitian dapat meningkatkan nilai rata-rata profil tegangan sebesar 0,077 kV atau 0,39%, mengurangi rugi-rugi daya sebesar 6,628 kW serta nilai THDv sebesar 0,004% sampai 0,018% dan THDi sebesar 0 pada seluruh bus.

Abstract

In order to maintain energy security and independence due to the decline in fossil energy production, especially oil and gas, as well as the world's commitment to minimize greenhouse gas emissions, the Indonesian government continues to optimize the use of new and renewable energy. Aceh has a new renewable energy potential of 16,882 MW with a wind energy potential of 894 MW. This study aims to analyze the potential of wind energy in the tourist area of Bukit Goa Japan in Lhokseumawe, Aceh, to be used as a source of lighting energy in the area. Wind speed measurements were carried out at 08:30 AM to 08:00 PM. Time interval of data collection every half hour at a height of three meters and five meters from the ground directly and by installing a wind turbine with a maximum power capacity of 400 W. The results showed that the Bukit Goa tourist area in Japan has an average daily wind speed of 0. 7 m/s which has the potential to produce an average electric power of 8.9 W when using a three-blade wind turbine at a height of three meters from the ground, with peak power obtained at 11:30 AM which is 13.33 watts. Meanwhile, wind turbines that use five blades do not produce any power at all. Meanwhile, at a height of five meters the daily average wind speed is 0.63 m/s which has the potential to generate a power of 9.98 W with the peak power obtained at 01:00 PM which is 14.85 W.

Abstract

Watering and fertilizing are very important to maintain the quality of the oil palm seeds. If the oil palm seeds are not watered regularly the soil will dry out while the oil palm seeds generally need to maintain adequate soil moisture and require a loose textured soil medium. So far, farmers have not optimally fulfilled the needs for water and fertilizer for oil palm seeds because they still use manual and traditional methods. Technological developments have made it possible to create irrigation and fertilization techniques automatically. In this study, a prototype of an automatic watering and fertilizing system was designed and realized for oil palm seedlings using the NodeMCU ESP8266 as the main controller in addition to RTC, humidity sensors, relays, water pumps, LCDs, and smartphones. RTC is used for fertilization scheduling, humidity sensors to sense soil moisture levels, relays as automatic switches that turn on and off pumps, water pumps to pump water and liquid fertilizer, LCD to display information, and smartphones to monitor conditions and processes of watering and fertilizing coconut seedlings palm. The test results show that the prototype tool can work well. When the soil moisture is read by the humidity sensor less than 30% (dry soil condition) then pump one is activated and when the soil moisture is more than 60% (wet soil condition) then pump one turns off. Furthermore, fertilization can take place according to a predetermined schedule where the second pump will automatically activate with a duration of 20 seconds for each fertilization period.

Abstract

The turbine can be a component that plays an important role as an energy converter that produces power in a picohydro power plant (PLTPH). The turbine used in this study is the Kaplan Turbine. The Kaplan turbine is a type of reaction turbine with a head of 1.58 m. This research examines the effect of variations in the number of blades on turbine rotation and output power in pico-hydro power plants (PLTpH) using Kaplan turbines so that voltage, current, power can be generated which affect the torque value and the efficiency obtained in the PLTpH prototype. This study aims to obtain a turbine runner with the number of blades that can produce the highest efficiency, so a variation of the Kaplan turbine runner is made with a number of blade runner variations, namely 4 blades, 6 blades, and 8 blades. The results showed that the addition of the number of blades produced the highest output with the number of blades 6 which produced a turbine rotation of 218.1 Rpm, generator rotation of 2433 Rpm, generator voltage of 19 volts, generator power of 1900 watts, and torque of 17.5 Nm. Nilai efesiensi yang dihasilkan yaitu 26,62 %. The results of this research are expected to be a reference and help improve human resources to develop power plants in rural areas, and open up opportunities for the community to develop small-scale power plants, namely pico-hydro power plants.

Abstract

Broiler chicken is a superior breed that has high productivity. Ammonia odor that pollutes the area around the cage is a problem in broiler management. Due to the activity of microorganisms in feces, unabsorbed protein amino acids, and other non-protein nitrogen (NPN) compounds break down into ammonia gas. In addition to damaging the environment, NH3 gas can interfere with animal performance, making them susceptible to disease. This research aims to solve the problem that comes from ammonia by measuring and designing an automatic ammonia gas controller based on Arduino using an MQ-135 sensor. If ammonia levels in the cage are greater than 5 ppm, ammonia levels are controlled by spraying liquid smoke to limit ammonia gas emissions. The results of this study show that the tool is able to reduce ammonia gas levels to 8 ppm. Ayam broiler adalah jenis ras unggulan yang memiliki daya produktivitas tinggi. Bau amoniak yang mencemari area sekitar kandang menjadi masalah dalam pengelolaan ayam broiler. Karena aktivitas mikroorganisme dalam feses, protein yang tidak diserap asam amino, dan senyawa nitrogen non-protein (NPN) lainnya terurai menjadi gas amoniak. Selain merusak lingkungan, gas NH3 dapat mengganggu performa hewan, sehingga rentan terkena penyakit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi masalah yang berasal dari amonia dengan metode pengukuran dan perancangan alat pengontrol gas amoniak otomatis berbasis arduino menggunakan sensor MQ-135. Jika kadar amoniak di dalam kandang lebih besar dari 5 ppm, kadar amoniak dikendalikan dengan penyemprotan asap cair untuk membatasi emisi gas amoniak. Hasil dari penelitian ini alat tersebut mampu menurunkan kadar gas ammonia hingga 8 ppm.

Abstract

The electricity distribution system generally starts from the generation, transmission, and distribution systems. In the distribution system, there are two channels, namely primary distribution with a voltage value of 20 kV and secondary distribution with a voltage of 220/380 V. Distributing electrical energy often experiences problems, one of which is the occurrence of energy losses during the distribution of electrical power to customers. Energy losses are energy losses due to technical and non-technical factors. This study evaluates energy losses due to technical factors in the express extension PL 03 and LW 09 PT PLN (Persero) ULP Lhoksukon. The method used to assess energy losses due to technThe calculation results show that theological factors with ETAP software simulations and more detailed technical shrinkage calculations, namely by calculating conductor and transformer shrinkage on the repeater. From the results of the ETAP simulation, it is obtained that the voltage losses of the PL 03 and LW 09 Lhoksukon ULPs still meet the standards according to SPLN 1: 1995 for a voltage of 20 kV where the limits set are +5% maximum and -10% minimum of the system voltage. The drop Voltage of PL 03 Extension is 7.6%, and LW 09 Extension is 8.25% of the nominal voltage of 20 kV. From the calculation results, of Drop Voltage of the PL 03 Repeater is 5.5%, and the LW 09 Repeater is 8.5% of the nominal voltage of 20 kV.
