Abstract

Elementary education in Indonesia remains predominantly characterized by rote learning and teacher-centered practices, which constrain students’ critical thinking and meaningful engagement. This participatory action research investigated the implementation of deep learning pedagogy in a rural elementary school (SD Negeri 019 Bonan Dolok, Mandailing Natal, Sept–Oct 2025), involving 50 teachers, 75 students (grades 3–5), and three university researchers through six collaborative cycles. Multiple qualitative instruments—observations, reflective journals, interviews, and artifact analyses—were employed to capture pedagogical and behavioral transformations. Findings indicate a progressive shift from transmissive to inquiry-oriented teaching. Teachers increasingly used open-ended questioning, extended wait time, and authentic local contexts. Students demonstrated higher participation, analytical reasoning, and collaboration, although progress varied across ability levels. Key challenges included limited instructional time, assessment misalignment, and teachers’ initial discomfort with shared authority. Collaborative reflection and peer learning communities emerged as pivotal for sustaining innovation. Deep learning proved attainable in resource-constrained environments when supported by reflective professional development and school leadership. Theoretically, this study extends deep learning and contextual teaching frameworks into underexplored elementary contexts, identifying reflective collaboration as a critical mechanism for pedagogical transformation. Practically, it proposes a scalable, context-sensitive model for implementing deep learning in rural schools through participatory teacher development, offering actionable guidance for educators and policymakers seeking to foster critical, creative, and collaborative learning.

Abstract

Background: Research on Arabic language education at the postgraduate level in Indonesia remains fragmented and thematically repetitive, highlighting the need for systematic mapping.. Purpose: This study aims to examine the development, thematic trends, and methodological patterns of Arabic language education research at the postgraduate level. Method: Using a descriptive bibliometric design, 113 postgraduate documents (104 master’s theses and 9 doctoral dissertations) archived in the institutional repository of UIN Alauddin Makassar between 2015 and 2024 were analyzed through total sampling. Bibliometric analysis was conducted using VOSviewer to visualize keyword co-occurrence, density, and temporal trends. Results and Discussion: The findings reveal a significant increase in research productivity, particularly in 2023–2024, with dominant themes focusing on teaching methods, learning outcomes, and digital media integration. However, thematic diversity remains limited, indicating a tendency toward topic repetition. Abstract

Urbanisasi yang pesat di kota-kota besar Indonesia, khususnya di kawasan perkotaan dengan kepadatan penduduk tinggi, menyebabkan keterbatasan lahan untuk pembangunan fasilitas komunal yang mendukung kegiatan sosial, pendidikan, kesehatan, dan rekreasi. Pengabdian ini bertujuan merancang Gedung Serbaguna di RW XII, Kelurahan Merjosari, Kota Malang, sebagai solusi untuk mengatasi keterbatasan ruang tersebut. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR), pengabdian ini melibatkan masyarakat dalam proses perancangan untuk memastikan desain yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan lokal. Desain Gedung Serbaguna mengintegrasikan konsep ruang multifungsi, modularitas, dan pemanfaatan ruang vertikal, memungkinkan pemakaian lahan yang lebih efisien dan fleksibel. Selain itu, penerapan zonasi aktivitas untuk memisahkan ruang sosial dan ruang privat, serta penggunaan material ekspos seperti beton dan batu alam, diusulkan untuk mengurangi biaya pembangunan dan pemeliharaan. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa desain ini mampu meningkatkan efisiensi ruang, memperkuat interaksi sosial masyarakat, dan mengurangi biaya operasional jangka panjang. Pengabdian ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan desain ruang komunal yang adaptif, berkelanjutan, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat di kawasan permukiman padat penduduk.

Abstract

Tebing Lowo yang terletak di Desa Pongangan, Kecamatan Manyar, Kabupaten Gresik, merupakan kawasan bersejarah peninggalan Kerajaan Majapahit dengan potensi pengembangan wisata yang berbasis budaya dan ekologi, salah satunya keberadaan Goa Lowo yang menjadi identitas desa dan destinasi wisata yang menarik minat pengunjung. Namun keberadaan wilayah ini mengalami penurunan kualitas wisata akibat dari penurunan populasi kelelawar karena perkembangan permukiman yang semakin padat, serta adanya lahan bekas pertambangan kapur yang ditinggalkan tanpa pengelolaan. Oleh sebab itu, diperlukan pendampingan dalam perencanaan konsep desain wisata berbasis sustainable tourism. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskripsi kualitatif dengan pendekatan sustainable tourism. Pengumpulan data meliputi observasi lapangan, analisis kondisi fisik lahan tambang, wawancara dengan masyarakat sekitar, serta kajian literatur mengenai pengembangan desain wisata. Konsep desain yang dihasilkan menekankan pemanfaatan elemen alami seperti tebing kapur dan Goa Lowo sebagai daya tarik utama, disertai penerapan prinsip sustainable tourism rendah emisi, material ramah lingkungan, dan tata sirkulasi yang adaptif terhadap kontur. Konsep Desain wisata terbagi menjadi tiga zona desain, yaitu : zona utama ekonomi, zona budaya dan sosial. Hasil konsep desain wisata Tebing Lowo dapat dioptimalkan sebagai destinasi wisata berkelanjutan, dengan perencanaan desain secara holistik, partisipatif, dan berorientasi jangka panjang, sehingga mampu menciptakan nilai ekologis, edukatif, dan ekonomi yang berkelanjutan bagi masyarakat Gresik.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of contextual learning in increasing students’ learning interest. The research was conducted in Class X of UPT SMAN 25 Bone with a total sample of 57 students. The study employed a Pre-Experimental Design with a quantitative data analysis technique.The results showed an increase in the average learning interest score from 31.02 before the treatment to 32.86 after the treatment. Based on the paired sample t-test, the increase was statistically significant (p < 0.05).Thus, it can be concluded that contextual learning is effective in enhancing students’ learning interest. These findings recommend that teachers apply contextual learning as one of the strategies to improve students’ learning interest.

Abstract

A deep understanding of entrepreneurship is needed to address the potential of students who are still hesitant to enter the world of entrepreneurship, despite their significant potential. Lack of knowledge about cooperatives and entrepreneurship, therefore, requires increased student participation.This study employed an ex post facto quantitative method. The sample consisted of eleventh-grade AKL students. Data analysis revealed that 38.5% agreed and 61.5% strongly agreed, out of 26 samples. The t-test analysis yielded a t-count of 5.840 > t-table of 1.7108, with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. The results of this study indicate a significant influence of school cooperatives as a learning medium in increasing entrepreneurial interest among eleventh-grade AKL students at SMK Negeri 1 Bone.

Abstract

Regulasi emosi merujuk pada kemampuan untuk menilai, mengendalikan, dan mengekspresikan emosi, yang seharusnya berkembang pada masa dewasa awal dengan dukungan orang tua. Di Indonesia, fenomena fatherless cukup banyak terjadi, sekitar 20,9% anak mengalami keterlibatan kurangnya peran ayah dalam pengasuhannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh kurangnya peran ayah terhadap regulasi emosi dewasa awal di Kota Samarinda. Sebanyak 390 mahasiswa dewasa awal berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan desain kausal asosiatif, data dikumpulkan melalui Skala Peran Ayah (Fathering Scale) dan Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) yang keduanya telah teruji validitas dan reliabilitasnya dengan skor Cronbach’s Alpha 0,966 untuk skala peran ayah dan Cronbach’s Alpha  0,868 untuk skala ERQ. Analisis regresi sederhana menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan peran ayah terhadap regulasi emosi dewasa awal (F = 80,638; p < 0,001), dengan koefisien regresi sebesar 0,107. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat absensi peran ayah, maka akan semakin tinggi pula tingkat regulasi emosinya. Nilai R² (0,172) mengindikasikan bahwa absensi peran ayah menyumbang 17,2% terhadap variansi regulasi emosi, sementara 82,2% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu dalam pembaruan multidemensional tentang peranan ayah dalam pengasuhan yang mana disampaikan oleh Lamb (2010) tentang pentingnya keterlibatan ayah tidak hanya penting pada masa kanak-kanak tetapi juga pada masa remaja dan dewasa awal.

Abstract

Background: High-risk pregnancy is a condition that can lead to complications and threaten the health of both the mother and the fetus, potentially resulting in morbidity or mortality. Several factors contribute to high-risk pregnancy, including maternal age under 20 years or over 35 years, short birth spacing (<2 years), and grand multiparity. Objective: This study aimed to assess the level of knowledge of pregnant women regarding high-risk pregnancy before and after counseling at the Sanrobone Health Center. Methods: This study used a descriptive quantitative design with a pre–post approach. The population and sample consisted of 52 pregnant women, selected using total sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire consisting of 20 questions related to knowledge of high-risk pregnancy, administered before and after counseling. Results: Before counseling, 8 respondents (15.4%) had good knowledge, 17 respondents (32.6%) had sufficient knowledge, and 27 respondents (52.0%) had poor knowledge. After counseling, the proportion of respondents with good knowledge increased to 21 (40.4%), those with sufficient knowledge were 26 (50.0%), and those with poor knowledge decreased to 5 (9.6%). Conclusion: Counseling significantly improved the knowledge of pregnant women regarding high-risk pregnancy. Strengthening educational interventions is essential to support early detection and prevention of pregnancy complications.

Abstract

Background: Stunting is a growth disorder in children under five characterized by inappropriate height-for-age (TB/U) measurements. Various preventive efforts have been implemented, including routine classes for pregnant women that provide education about stunting to improve maternal knowledge and awareness. Objective: To describe changes in the level of knowledge among primigravida pregnant women in the second and third trimester before and after receiving stunting education. Methods: This study used a one-group pretest–posttest design involving 32 primigravida pregnant women selected through purposive sampling. Knowledge was measured using a structured questionnaire administered before and after the educational intervention. Results: Prior to the intervention, only seven respondents (21.9%) demonstrated good knowledge, while twenty-five respondents (78.1%) showed poor knowledge regarding stunting. Following the educational session, the number of respondents with good knowledge increased markedly to seventeen (53.1%), while those with sufficient knowledge were fifteen (46.9%). These findings indicate a substantial improvement in knowledge after the intervention. Conclusion: Educational intervention effectively increased the knowledge of pregnant women regarding stunting. The notable improvement between pretest and posttest results highlights the importance of health education as a preventive strategy for stunting.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan memanfaatkan limbah pelepah kelapa sawit menjadi briket biomassa guna meningkatkan nilai ekonomi lokal dan mendukung pengelolaan lingkungan di Desa Suka Mulya, Kecamatan Dayun, Kabupaten Siak. Metode yang digunakan berupa pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pretest–posttest yang dipadukan dengan sosialisasi dan pelatihan pembuatan briket kepada masyarakat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa briket yang dihasilkan memiliki kadar air sebesar 7,40% dan memenuhi standar nasional, serta memiliki ketahanan mekanik yang baik meskipun nilai densitas masih perlu ditingkatkan. Selain menghasilkan produk energi alternatif ramah lingkungan, kegiatan ini berdampak pada peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat yang ditunjukkan oleh kenaikan signifikan nilai posttest. Kegiatan ini berpotensi menjadi model pemberdayaan masyarakat berbasis pemanfaatan limbah lokal yang berkelanjutan.
