Abstract

Mastitis is an inflammation of the udder that often affects dairy cows in the production phase. The impact of mastitis losses is quite large, including a drastic decrease in milk quantity and quality. Mastitis can be caused by antibiotic-resistant bacteria in dairy cows, including Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus spp or Streptococcus spp. The results of a recent study stated that the prevalence of mastitis in Indonesia reached 83%. The Coliform Mastitis Test (CMT), used worldwide for early detection of mastitis, has a specificity of 80.6% and a sensitivity of 82.4%. Semen Village Unit Cooperative (KUD) is a cooperative that is the center of milk production in Blitar District, which accommodates the milk of dairy cows from smallholder farms in Blitar District. The high incidence of mastitis caused by the presence of bacteria resistant to antibiotics encourages counseling on mastitis and identifying bacteria that cause antibiotic resistance. Extension activities are carried out by presenting material about mastitis caused by the presence of bacteria resistant to antibiotics with lecture techniques (PowerPoint slides), videos, questions, and answers, and demonstrating the California Mastitis Test on milk samples as an early detection test, as well as identifying bacteria that cause antibiotic resistance. This series of counseling activities is an effort to reduce the incidence of mastitis through increased knowledge and understanding of the community.

Abstract

In general, guidance and counseling teachers in educational institutions serve as key figures in fostering students' emotional intelligence and addressing behavioral conflicts. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study research design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique follows an inductive method involving three stages: data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing with verification. The findings reveal that teachers implement strategic efforts to enhance students' emotional intelligence through the integration of Islamic religious education values into the learning process. These strategies manifest in two domains of commendable student behavior—inside and outside the classroom. Within the classroom context, students demonstrate the ability to resolve problems wisely, express concern and empathy towards peers, and remind one another of their academic responsibilities. Outside the classroom, students exhibit emotional resilience by not reacting negatively to bullying and by exercising self-control to refrain from verbal aggression. The incorporation of Islamic religious education into the emotional development process underscores the teacher’s dual role as both an academic instructor and a moral guide who instills spiritual values in students’ daily conduct. This study affirms that strengthening students' emotional intelligence can be effectively achieved through a pedagogical approach rooted in religious values and humanistic principles. The role of religious education becomes pivotal not only in shaping students' cognitive and affective domains but also in building a resilient and emotionally intelligent character that contributes to a harmonious school environment.

Abstract

Project-Based Learning (PBL) is increasingly adopted in educational settings, including MKWU, to foster active engagement and practical skill development. However, managing student religious activities within this framework presents challenges, particularly with manual attendance tracking and inaccurate point calculations. This research aimed to develop a system religious activity for students and mentors, utilizing the User Centered Design (UCD) approach. By employing the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model, data was collected from 240 respondents through questionnaires. The findings revealed a 99% positive perception of the system regarding its effectiveness, ease of use, peer support, and resource availability. Key features, such as real-time attendance submission and point updates, significantly enhance operational efficiency and accuracy. The study concludes that this UTAUT-based evaluation system effectively meets user needs and boosts engagement in religious studies, marking a shift from traditional manual evaluation methods that often lack real-time feedback and comprehensive metrics
