Abstract

This research aims to find the influence of Self-directed Learning (SDL) and mathematics disposition on mathematics learning achievement of students.This research is an ex-post facto research. Population of this study is the whole student in one of senior high school located in South Sulawesi academic year 2017/2018 with the total of 638 students. 180 students were selected by using disproportionated stratified random sampling method where the number of sample for each level was 60 students. Data were obtained by using ordered scale instrument of self-rating scale of self-directed learning (SRSSDL), mathematics disposition questionnaire and test of mathematics learning achievement. data analysis technique applied was multiple linear regression by using software IBM SPSS Statistics 24. The results of data analysis show students’ self-directed learning is in intermediate level, students’ mathematics disposition is in high level and students’ mathematics learning achievement is in low level. Simultaneously, Self-directed learning and mathematics disposition positively affect on mathematics learning achievement of students of SMA Negeri 9 Maros, where 18,66% of mathematics learning achievement can be explained by SDL and mathematics disposition simultaneously. Partially, the variable SDL affects learning achievement in the amount of 5,38% while the variable mathematics disposition influence mathematics learning achievement for 4%. Each increasing for one score on SDL will improve mathematics learning achievement for 0,164 while the increase for one score of mathematics disposition will improve the learning achievement for 0,281.

Abstract

Burung puyuh (Coturnix coturnix japonica) adalah salah satu jenis unggas yang banyak dibudidayakan dengan tujuan mendapatkan telur. Penggunaan tambahan pakan alami seperti suplemen dilakukan sebagai alternatif pakan sehat untuk meningkatkan produktivitas telur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan bubuk temulawak sebagai suplemen terhadap produktivitas telur burung puyuh. Metode yang digunakan adalah meta-analisis dengan melakukan pengumpulan artikel dan jurnal relevan dengan menggunakan data sekunder hasil ekstraksi jurnal dan artikel yang terkait. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan bubuk temulawak sebagai suplemen tambahan pada makanan burung puyuh tidak menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap produktivitas dan kualitas telur burung puyuh bahkan ada yang menunjukkan adanya penurunan produktivitas. Hal ini dapat disebabkan karena penyerapan nutrisi dari suplemen yang belum maksimal oleh burung puyuh, dosis penambahan yang terlalu sedikit, hingga kandungan dari suplemen temulawak yang justru mengganggu kinerja fili usus burung puyuh sehingga penyerapan nutrisi tidak dapat terjadi secara maksimal. Meskipun demikian, penggunaan suplemen temulawak memiliki pengaruh terhadap nilai skor kuning telur karena kandungan kurkuminnya yang mampu meningkatkan warna pada kuning telur.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan meta-analisis mengenai jamur Candida, yang dikenalsebagai patogen penyebab infeksi pada manusia. Dalam analisis ini, penulis mengidentifikasiberbagai studi terbaru yang mengeksplorasi penyebab, gejala, dan efektivitas pengobatan infeksiCandida. Hasil meta-analisis menunjukkan bahwa infeksi Candida sering terjadi pada individudengan sistem kekebalan tubuh yang lemah, seperti pasien diabetes, orang yang menerima terapiantibiotik jangka panjang, serta pasien yang menjalani perawatan imunosupresif. Gejala yang umumditemukan termasuk rasa nyeri, pembengkakan, dan iritasi pada area yang terinfeksi. Selain itu,analisis ini juga mengevaluasi efektivitas berbagai pilihan pengobatan, baik yang bersifat sistemikmaupun topikal, untuk mengatasi infeksi Candida. Berdasarkan temuan ini, pengobatan yangmelibatkan agen antijamur seperti flukonazol dan ketokonazol menunjukkan hasil yang signifikandalam mengurangi kejadian infeksi Candida, meskipun resistensi terhadap beberapa obat mulaimenjadi tantangan dalam pengelolaan penyakit ini. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan yang lebihdalam tentang patogenesis Candida dan memberikan rekomendasi untuk pendekatan pengobatanyang lebih efektif dalam menangani infeksi jamur ini.

Abstract

This study aims to uncover the hidden meaning within the Opinion section of Tempo magazine's April 2024 edition. The research employs a quantitative descriptive method with critical discourse analysis based on Van Dijk's model, utilizing data collection techniques through reading and note-taking. In analyzing the data, the researcher applies strategies of identification, clarification, and interpretation. The findings indicate that this study examines the structure and characteristics of opinion discourse in Tempo magazine's April 2024 edition using Van Dijk's approach. The key findings of this research include: (1) Structural analysis of the opinion text reveals alignment with Van Dijk's three discourse structures—macrostructure, superstructure, and microstructure. (2) The analysis of discourse characteristics identifies several features based on Van Dijk's theory, including action, context, history, power, and ideology.

Abstract

This study was motivated by a problem identified in Grade VIII at SMPN 1 Sasak Ranah Pesisir, where students demonstrated low mathematical problem-solving abilities. This issue is suspected to have caused many students to perform below the minimum competency criteria in problem-solving. To address this issue, the researcher implemented the Collaborative Learning model in mathematics instruction, which is believed to enhance students’ problem-solving skills. The research question posed was: Does the Collaborative Learning model have a greater impact on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities compared to conventional learning among Grade VIII students at SMPN 1 Sasak Ranah Pesisir? This study used a pre-experimental method with a static group comparison design. The population consisted of all eighth-grade students at SMPN 1 Sasak Ranah Pesisir. The sample was selected randomly after conducting normality and homogeneity tests on the population data. Class VIII.4 was designated as the experimental group, and Class VIII.2 as the control group. The instrument used in this study was an observation sheet and a test on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. Data were analyzed using hypothesis testing with the t-test formula. The results showed that the calculated t-value (tₕ = 2.290) was greater than the critical t-value (tₜ = 1.673), leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis (H₀). Using SPSS software at a significance level of α = 0.05, the p-value was 0.026, which is less than α, confirming that H₀ was also rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that the Collaborative Learning model positively affects students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities, showing higher results compared to those taught using conventional methods in Grade VIII at SMPN 1 Sasak Ranah Pesisir in the 2023/2024 academic year.

Abstract

This research aims to scientifically test and prove the influence of Tax Service Quality, Implementation of e-filling and E-billing on Individual Taxpayer Satisfaction, a case study of taxpayers registered at KPP Pratama Pondok Aren. This type of research uses quantitative research, in-depth analysis in the form of numbers. The population in this research is individual taxpayers at KPP Pratama Pondok Aren. The sample in the study was determined based on the simple random sampling method. The number of respondents sampled in this study was 100 respondents. Data was collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using multiple regression using the SPSS version 27 program. The research results show that the influence of Tax Service Quality, Implementation of e-filling and Implementation of E-billing has a significant and significant impact on Taxpayer Satisfaction. This shows the importance of these independent factors in increasing taxpayer satisfaction in the case study of taxpayers registered at KPP Pratama Pondok Aren

Abstract

Background: Stunting remains a critical public health issue in Indonesia, threatening the well-being of future generations. Community involvement, particularly by health cadres, is essential for effective prevention. However, structured assessments and follow-up initiatives to enhance their participation remain limited. Objective: This study aimed to evaluate health cadres' knowledge, roles, and skills in stunting prevention programs. Methods: A mixed-methods design with an embedded approach was applied in three phases. Phase 1: A quantitative survey assessed stunting knowledge among 193 cadres across 10 stunting locus villages in Bangka Belitung Province, Indonesia (October–December 2022). The survey tool was adapted from previous studies and analyzed using the RASCH IRT model and descriptive statistics. Phase 2: Qualitative data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 20 cadres selected from the survey pool, and analyzed thematically. Phase 3: The same 20 cadres were observed conducting anthropometric measurements to assess skill accuracy. Results: Knowledge levels were generally low, with 52% of cadres scoring low to very low and only 48% achieving moderate to high scores. Three themes emerged: 1) cadres’ perspectives on the causes and consequences of stunting, 2) their roles and actions in stunting prevention, and 3) their experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. Observations revealed significant inaccuracies in anthropometric measurement techniques. Conclusion: There is a clear need to improve cadres’ knowledge and skills, especially in anthropometric assessment. Recommendations include implementing certification-based training, introducing innovative and standardized measurement tools, and offering accessible web-based learning platforms. Nurses play a crucial role in supporting cadre training and ensuring accurate growth monitoring at the community level.

Abstract

This community service aims to provide education to MSME actors related to Online Selling Strategies in the International Market so that there is added value and profitability for MSME business actors in Gerogol Village. The target of service is MSME actors who are registered and already have a business license in Gerogol Village. Problems are solved in three stages of activities, namely preparation, implementation and evaluation. Preparations were made by conducting preliminary interviews to find out the conditions in the field regarding the basic problem of non-development of MSMEs in Gerogol Village. The implementation was carried out by providing counseling on how to create added value for the businesses of each MSME actor in Gerogol Village. Evaluation of activities is carried out for each stage by collecting and concluding data from each stage of the activity. The results of the Online Sales Strategy in the International Market counseling activity for MSMEs in Grogol Village, West Lombok, show a high level of enthusiasm from MSME actors because there are new opportunities to increase business scale and profits.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the Influence of Regional Taxes, Regional Levies, and Profits of Regionally Owned Enterprises (BUMD) on Public Service Performance. The population of this study is data on budget realization reports for the last 9 years within the scope of the Government on Sumbawa Island. This study uses all populations as a sample, as many as 5 districts and cities on Sumbawa Island with 45 realization budget report data. The method used in this study is multiple linear analysis with the help of the SPSS version 20. This type of research is associative research with a quantitative approach. The variables in this study are Regional Tax, Regional Levy, BUMD Profit and Public Service Performance and the data used is secondary data. The results of this study show that regional taxes do not have a positive and significant effect on Public Service Performance, regional levies have a positive and significant effect on Public Service Performance, while BUMD profits have a very positive and significant effect on Public Service Performance.

Abstract

Background: The utility of stress ulcer prophylaxis (SUP) in critically ill children is a subject of ongoing debate, particularly in patients who do not present with classic high-risk features for stress-related mucosal disease (SRMD). This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of ranitidine for preventing gastric bleeding in a heterogeneous cohort of critically ill children. Methods: A single-center, prospective, open-label, randomized controlled trial was conducted in a tertiary Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Indonesia. Children aged 1 month to 18 years admitted to the PICU were randomized to receive either intravenous ranitidine (1 mg/kg/dose twice daily) or standard care without prophylaxis for five days. The primary outcome was the incidence of overt gastric bleeding. Post-hoc power analysis and multivariable logistic regression were performed to contextualize the findings. Results: From 243 patients screened, 60 were randomized (30 per group). The cohort was predominantly composed of infants (60.0%) with respiratory distress. Overt gastric bleeding occurred in 1 of 30 patients (3.3%) in the ranitidine group versus 3 of 30 patients (10.0%) in the control group. This difference was not statistically significant (Relative Risk [RR] 0.33; 95% CI 0.04–3.11; p=0.612). After adjusting for a baseline imbalance in age, the odds of bleeding remained non-significantly lower in the ranitidine group (Adjusted Odds Ratio [aOR] 0.29; 95% CI 0.03–3.20). The study was found to be severely underpowered (16% power), and none of the bleeding events were clinically significant. Conclusion: In this small, underpowered trial of predominantly low-risk critically ill children, ranitidine did not significantly reduce the incidence of overt gastric bleeding. These findings, while limited by significant methodological weaknesses, do not support the routine use of SUP in similar pediatric populations and underscore the critical need for larger, more definitive trials to inform evidence-based risk-stratification strategies.
