Abstract

The Craftsperson's Strategy in Preserving the Pa’tannun Weaving from Sa'dan North Toraja in the Modern Era. A thesis of the Social Science Education Study Program, Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, Universitas Negeri Makassar. Supervised by Muhammad Zulfadli and Rusdi This study aims to: (1) identify the strategies employed by artisans to preserve and sustain Tenun Pa’tannun as a form of local cultural heritage; and (2) analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that influence these preservation efforts. The preservation of Pa’tannun is essential not only because of its economic value but also due to its symbolic meaning, cultural significance, and its role as an expression of Torajan identity that is increasingly pressured by modernization. The results of the study indicate that (1) artisans implement key strategies to maintain the sustainability of Pa’tannun, including the transmission of traditional weaving skills to younger generations, design innovation and product diversification, as well as the use of digital promotion in the modern era. (2) Based on the SWOT analysis, the main strengths lie in the uniqueness of weaving techniques and the cultural meanings embedded in Pa’tannun, while the identified weaknesses include limited capital and the lack of regeneration among young artisans. Opportunities arise from the increasing public interest in ethnic products and cultural tourism, whereas threats stem from the development of the modern textile industry and the declining interest of younger generations in traditional crafts.

Abstract

Second language acquisition in early childhood is interesting to study. The purpose of this study was to determine the Arabic language acquisition ability of teachers' children at the Darussalam Parmeraan Islamic Boarding School, to find out the problems faced by teachers' children in learning Arabic as a second language at the Darussalam Parmeraan Islamic Boarding School, and to find out solutions to difficulties in learning Arabic as a second language at the Darussalam Parmeraan Islamic Boarding School. The research method used is qualitative and descriptive research using case studies. The data collection methods used are observation, interviews, and documents, and the data analysis methods used are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results of this study indicate that the methods used in the learning process at the Darussalam Parmeraan Islamic Boarding School include direct methods, audio-lingual methods, presentation methods, and question-and-answer methods. The learning media teachers use are appropriate and interesting for children, such as pictures, paintings, picture books, games, and audio visuals. The difficulties experienced by children are easily forgetting the vocabulary that has been taught, and children have difficulty pronouncing letters and vocabulary, pronouncing "ro" as "lo". The solutions to overcome these difficulties include getting teachers used to communicating with children directly using Arabic, teachers helping children master pronunciation through continuous practice, providing examples of clear letter pronunciation, and using learning media. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for improving Arabic language learning for children.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine 1) the characteristics of black sarong weaving (tope le’leng), 2) identify the supporting factors and obstacles faced by housewives as economic actors through black sarong weaving, and 3) analyze the role of housewives as weavers in improving family economic conditions in Bonto Baji Village, Bulukumba Regency. This study employs a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with artisan housewives and village officials, as well as documentation. The data analysis technique used in this study is thematic analysis.The research findings indicate that 1) The process of weaving black sarongs involves several traditional stages, including the preparation of raw materials (warp threads and natural dyes from tarung leaves), the dyeing process, thread winding (appaturung), pattern formation and thread arrangement (anggane), and finally weaving (attannung) using a traditional loom. 2) The main supporting factors are increased purchasing interest due to the symbolic value of the sarong as a cultural identity, price variations that cater to various segments, and a self-employed work system at home. Conversely, inhibiting factors include promotional strategies that remain conventional (word of mouth), the dual burden of domestic and economic roles, and age-related factors that reduce the physical productivity of artisans. 3) The role of housewives in Bonto Baji Village reflects the implementation of the Triple Role of Women (reproductive, productive, and social). Productive contributions through weaving provide significant additional income to meet children’s food and educational needs, thereby enhancing family well-being and economic stability.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are: first, to identify phonetic difficulties in pronouncing hijaiyah letters and the factors influencing them among students of MTs Ma’had Salafiyah Chasanul Hidayah Tanjung Medan, Rokan Hulu. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through direct observation, semi-structured interviews, document analysis, and pronunciation tests to analyze students’ ability to articulate hijaiyah letters accurately. Then, the data were analyzed descriptively through data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification of interview and observation results. The findings indicate that, first, phonetic difficulties lie in the inability to distinguish similar sounds, challenges in pronouncing pharyngeal (halqiyah) letters, and differences in students’ abilities. Second, the influencing factors include weak phonological awareness, mother-tongue interference, educational background, and psychological and physiological factors. Therefore, improving pronunciation skills cannot rely solely on practice but requires a comprehensive and integrative instructional approach. This study recommends developing technology-based, integrative phonetic teaching methods, enhancing teacher training, and conducting further research to examine the effectiveness of multimodal strategies for sustainably and contextually improving students’ pronunciation accuracy.  Keyword: Arabic Pronunciation, Phonetic Difficulties, Phonological Awareness

Abstract

Perkembangan kecerdasan buatan (AI) yang semakin masif telah mengguncang fondasi-fondasi konseptual filsafat hukum, terutama dalam hal pemahaman tentang realitas, norma, dan subjek hukum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah kembali konsep-konsep dasar filsafat hukum (realitas, norma, dan kode) melalui lensa kerangka Tiga Dunia Karl Popper, serta merumuskan kerangka filsafat hukum yang responsif terhadap era kecerdasan buatan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian hukum normatif dengan pendekatan filosofis, konseptual, dan kasus, yang dianalisis secara kualitatif melalui metode interpretasi, analisis konseptual, dan hermeneutika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara ontologis, AI merupakan entitas lintas-dunia yang eksis di World 1 (fisik) dan mencipta objek di World 3 (produk pikiran), namun tidak memiliki World 2 (kesadaran subjektif), sehingga AI tidak dapat dikualifikasi sebagai subjek hukum atau agen moral dalam pengertian klasik. Secara normatif, munculnya ”hukum kode” (algoritma) menantang diferensiasi Popper antara hukum alam dan hukum normatif, karena kode bersifat deterministik dan preemtif. Secara aksiologis, penggunaan AI dalam sistem hukum menghadirkan ketegangan antara efisiensi dan nilai-nilai keadilan, dengan risiko diskriminasi algoritmik yang mengancam moralitas internal hukum. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perluasan ontologi Popperian melalui gagasan ”Dunia Keempat” sebagai ranah digital dan algoritmik, penerapan prinsip transparansi, akuntabilitas, dan proporsionalitas, serta reformulasi konsep subjek hukum dan tanggung jawab yang tetap berpusat pada manusia (human-centered AI).

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji konsep moralitas internal Lon L. Fuller dan relevansinya terhadap pembentukan peraturan daerah yang responsif di Indonesia. Peraturan daerah sebagai instrumen otonomi daerah seringkali menghadapi tantangan berupa minimnya partisipasi publik, inkonsistensi regulasi, dan kecenderungan represif yang menjadikan perda tidak aspiratif terhadap kebutuhan masyarakat lokal. Penelitian hukum normatif ini menggunakan pendekatan filsafat hukum dengan bahan hukum primer berupa karya utama Fuller The Morality of Law serta bahan hukum sekunder yang membahas pemikiran Fuller dan teori hukum responsif dari Nonet dan Selznick. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedelapan prinsip legalitas Fuller (generality, promulgation, prospectivity, clarity, non-contradiction, possibility of compliance, constancy, dan congruence) menyediakan kerangka prosedural yang menjadi prasyarat bagi terwujudnya perda yang responsif. Implementasi moralitas internal dalam pembentukan perda di Indonesia diwujudkan melalui naskah akademik yang komprehensif, partisipasi publik yang bermakna, harmonisasi regulasi yang konsisten, serta kesesuaian antara aturan dan implementasinya.

Abstract

Based on the results of observations made by researchers in class XI MIPA at SMA Negeri 1 Banuhampu, it was found that the problem in this study was the low mathematics learning outcomes of students, this was because the learning process was dominated by teachers and students tended to be passive in learning. Seeing these problems the researcher provides a solution through the application of the brainstorming learning method in linear programming material. Because the brainstorming learning method can increase student learning activities and make learning outcomes better. This research was an experimental research with the static group comparison research design. The population in this study were 4 classes XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Banuhampu. Based on the research and test results of students' mathematics learning in the sample class, the data obtained were not normally distributed and were homogeneous. The calculation results obtained in the discussion through the u-test standardized z-test obtained that = 3.3784 and = 1.65. The calculation results show that . This means that the test decision H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the use of the brainstorming learning method on the mathematics learning outcomes of class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 1 Bahuhampu in the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

The performance of hospital employees greatly determines the quality of services provided to patients. Factors that influence the effectiveness of employee performance are gender differences and the ability to work in a team. This research aims at analyzing the effect of gender and teamwork on the effectiveness of employee performance in Harapan Sehat Hospital Meulaboh. This research uses qualitative data that is the respondents’ answers on the research instrument. The population of this research is all employees of Harapan Sehat Hospital Meulaboh which totaling 132 people. This research applies saturated sampling as the technique which means that all the population become the sample of the research. The data analysis is conducted by using partial test (t-test) and simultaneous test (F-test). The results of the study show that: (1) gender has a significant effect on the effectiveness of employee performance; (2) teamwork has a significant effect on the effectiveness of employee performance, and; (3) gender and teamwork simultaneously have a significant effect on the effectiveness of employee performance.
