Therefore, emotional literacy of the students, especially the ability in managing emotions and developing social interactions were not adequate yet. The implication shown that at the elementary school being investigated, massive education based on emotional literacy still not being conducted yet, hence it was recommended to conduct emotional literacy education through habituation or integrated learning activity in the school.

Abstract

Student Worksheets (LKPD) are rarely used in learning, especially in poetry appreciation learning. This is necessary for the development of the LKPD so that it complies with the requirements for preparing the LKPD and integrating the appreciation model into the LKPD. The aim of the research is to present the results of the needs analysis for LKPD based on the appreciation model in poetry learning. The approach chosen in research is qualitative with data collection methods through passive observation, structured interviews, and document content analysis. The research was conducted in 3 elementary schools in Tasikmalaya City, participants were taken from class IV students and teachers. The results of the research found that: (1) learning has not yet led to the stage of appreciating poetry where students only focus on theory, writing and reading poetry; (2) learning has not used the literary appreciation model; and (3) only 1 out of 3 elementary schools uses LKPD in poetry appreciation learning and has not integrated the appreciation model into LKPD. The results of the research that have been presented will have an impact on the poetry appreciation learning process being less than optimal, therefore it is necessary to develop LKPD based on the appreciation model.

Abstract

Teaching modules by several educators in class IV elementary schools in poetry appreciation learning has not used a specific learning model. However, it still uses a general learning model. So this research was carried out to identify and analyze for teaching modules, then it will be developed into poetry appreciation learning in fourth grade elementary school. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this research are educators and Indonesian teaching modules. The research was conducted in February-March 2024 at two elementary schools in Tasikmalaya City. Researchers collected data by carrying out observation, interviews and content analysis of teaching modules. Data analysis using the Miles and Huberman model involves three main stages: data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that: (1) the components in the teaching module used are not in accordance with the components in the Badan Standar Kurikulum dan Asesmen Pendidikan Nomor 003/H/KR/2022; (2) there is no learning model specifically for learning poetry appreciation; and (3) in teaching poetry appreciation, educators have not yet aimed at appreciating the content of poetry. From the research results, it is necessary to develop a poetry appreciation teaching module using a special model. Therefore, researchers suggest that when creating teaching modules you should pay attention to the components in the teaching module, the learning model used, the material to be studied, and the needs required by students so that learning is in accordance with the objectives to be achieved and learning becomes more effective and efficient.

Abstract

This research is motivated by advances in educational technology to improve the quality of students' learning and the importance of using digital media to make the process of literary learning activities easier to understand. One of the literary lessons that is introduced to students is poetry appreciation. The poetry appreciation learning process requires digital learning media to help students understand, appreciate and assess the content of poetry in the poetry appreciation learning process. This research aims to analyze and explore the need for developing digital learning media for poetry appreciation in class IV elementary schools. This research uses a method, namely a qualitative descriptive method. The data collection techniques used were observation sheets, interview guides and content analysis. Based on the results of the analysis and exploration of the learning media needs of the two educators, it shows that there are educators who still do not use digital learning media or media that is specific or focused on learning poetry appreciation. It is hoped that further research can reveal learning results from analysis and exploration of the need to develop digital learning media in accordance with the stages of poetry appreciation, including students being able to understand, appreciate and assess the content of the poetry presented.

Abstract

With the prevalence of digital technologies worldwide, their inclusion to increase student motivation and comprehension in English vocabulary, especially at the elementary level, is an important factor. This paper aims to explore how to develop Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning media as a fun tool for learning vocabulary. This study focuses on developing an AR-based flashcard that uses three-dimensional (3D) visualization and native-speaker audio for pronunciation to help elementary learners master English vocabulary and increase engagement. Applying a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model, five systematic phases (needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation) involving diverse participants (students, teachers, and experts) and multiple methods (interviews, surveys, expert validation, and classroom observations) were conducted. The result shows that AR-based flashcards can enhance students’ vocabulary mastery by providing interesting and engaging 3D content and native-speaker audio pronunciation as sensory enhancements. This innovative research on the combination of an interactive 3D visualization and an audio supplement provides students with more effective assistance in mastering English vocabulary. Furthermore, this research can serve as a reference for developing innovative, technology-driven learning tools that address current educational needs. The result indicates that AR-based learning media can be used effectively to enhance students’ motivation to learn English vocabulary, thereby improving their learning outcomes in the early stages of language education.
