Abstract

Increasing children's independence requires significant attention from adults, including teachers and parents. instilling independent character in children requires various stimulations that can support the formation of independence in children from an early age. This type of research is library research or library research. Sources of data in this study came from reviewing articles, journals, books and research results that could answer the formulation of the problem in this study. The data analysis technique in this study is data reduction, displaying the data and proceeding with outlining the conclusions. The results showed that the teacher's role in increasing children's independence was obtained from the competencies possessed by the teacher, namely pedagogic, professional, personality and social competencies. Stimulation in increasing children's independence can be obtained from routine habituation activities including 1) putting their own shoes in their place, tidying up their own cutlery, putting books and toys back in their place, Duha prayer, and toilet training. In structured habituation activities, children will be guided by the teacher according to the planning and implementation according to the theme of the activities in the Daily Learning Implementation Plan. Then the formation of independence in children can be supported by learning media, namely visual, audio and audio-visual media.

Abstract

Getting to know children in technology, especially computers, is very important to do as a provision for children to face future challenges and improve their thingking skill. The learning can be done through a game and without using technological device or what is called unplugged coding games. This study aims to find out how the implementation of unplugged coding games in improving thingking skills is carried out. The method used is qualitative method with a descriptive approach through a type of field research conducted at PAUD Harapan Ummat Medan Polonia with data sources 1 Principal, 2 teachers and 15 children from the mecca class. The results of the study found that in the implementation of unplugged coding games activities were included in the opening activities, core activities, and closing activities. Unplugged coding games activities carried out were in form of tradisional games of engklek, tansoa (sholeh-sholeha children’s ladder), origami, playing loosepart-based puzzels, combining dots, coloring pictures with codes, filling in missing numbers and solving secret codes using numbers and letters. By implementing unplugged coding games in learning, it can improve children’s thingking skill so that children are able to show experiencing failure, showing ideas, recognizing and solving problems.

Abstract

The need for learning facilities and infrastructure in inclusive PAUD (Early Childhood Education) is still limited. This study aims to contribute to every manager of inclusive and regular PAUD institutions in providing learning infrastructure needs for all students based on applicable standards or provisions. The research method uses a qualitative method of literature study. Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis carried out the data analysis technique, which consisted of data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. Data was collected from reading references such as articles, books, and inclusive PAUD POS issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture. The study's results found that each characteristic of children with special needs has different needs for facilities and infrastructure. In addition, it was found that several infrastructure facilities could be designated for other different types of children with special needs characteristics, such as rooms, equipment, media, and student learning resources. The conclusion is that inclusive PAUD institutions need to provide modified infrastructure based on each characteristic of children with special needs so that they can be used inclusively.

Abstract

Meningkatnya insiden kejahatan seksual belakangan ini membuat orang tua semakin khawatir. Mengenalkan pendidikan seks sejak dini kepada anak-anak dianggap penting untuk mencegah kejadian yang tidak diinginkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami persepsi orang tua mengenai pengenalan pendidikan seks pada anak-anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan melibatkan tujuh orang tua sebagai subjek. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dengan para orang tua. Analisis dilakukan dengan mereduksi data, menyajikannya, dan kemudian menarik kesimpulan. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kurangnya pengetahuan orang tua menjadi salah satu alasan minimnya pengenalan seks kepada anak. Banyak orang tua beranggapan bahwa seks adalah topik tabu yang dilarang untuk dibicarakan di lingkungan mereka. Ada dua faktor utama yang menyebabkan rendahnya pengenalan pendidikan seks dari orang tua kepada anak, yaitu: a) faktor pendidikan dan b) faktor sosial-budaya.Kata Kunci: Persepsi Orang Tua, Pendidikan Seks, Anak Usia Dini.

Abstract

Keluarga merupakan lingkungan utama yang berperan penting dalam membentuk karakter serta mendukung pencapaian perkembangan anak. Perkembangan sosial emosional anak usia dini sangat dipengaruhi oleh stimulasi yang diberikan orang tua melalui interaksi dan pembiasaan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pola asuh orang tua yang bekerja dalam mendukung perkembangan sosial emosional anak usia dini. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara langsung dan observasi terhadap empat orang tua dengan latar belakang pekerjaan yang berbeda. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan teknik Huberman-Miles. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola asuh yang diterapkan orang tua bervariasi pada setiap anak. Perbedaan ini dipengaruhi oleh faktor tingkat pendidikan orang tua, lingkungan, serta budaya yang berlaku, termasuk gaya pengasuhan turun-temurun yang dianggap efektif. Pola asuh tersebut membentuk cara orang tua dalam memberikan bimbingan, disiplin, dan dukungan emosional, sehingga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap perkembangan sosial emosional anak usia dini.

Abstract

The phenomenon of sexual violence against children in Indonesia, which has increased by 300% in the last decade, demands a preventive approach through early childhood sexuality education, yet still faces strong cultural resistance. This research explores the dynamics of parent-teacher collaboration in implementing early childhood sexuality education at TK Tunas Harapan Banyuwangi, focusing on paradigm transformation, collaborative mechanisms, and their impact on children's protective understanding. Employing qualitative educational ethnography with an interpretive-constructivist paradigm, the study involved 12 parents, 6 teachers, and 1 principal during March-June 2024. Data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions, and document analysis, then analyzed using the Miles model with triangulation for validity. Findings reveal paradigm transformation from resistance to acceptance through andragogy-based "parent classes," three-pillar collaborative mechanisms (shared vision building, synchronized capacity building, and communication protocols), and positive impacts including enhanced children's body awareness, changes in family communication patterns, and transformation of teaching practices toward child-centered approaches. This research contributes to developing locally-based collaborative models for sexuality education relevant to Indonesia's sociocultural context.

Abstract

The Minangnese are an ethnic group in Indonesia that reside in West Sumatra. It has characterized by an emphasis on harmony in all aspects of life. Despite this emphasis, the Minangnese recognize that conflict is a natural occurrence. The study aimed to investigate the effect of religiosity and interpersonal attachment on forgiveness through agreeableness and neuroticism in the Minangnese ethnicity.  Minangnese ethnic participants were selected by considering the following criteria, namely citizens of and living in West Sumatra Province, claimed to be Minangnese people, Muslim, and living in West Sumatra Province for the last 10 years. Using a stratified cluster random sampling method, 205 Minangnese individuals were recruited and administered five questionnaires to assess forgiveness, agreeableness, neuroticism, religiosity, and interpersonal attachment. The results indicated that religiosity had a significant influence on forgiveness in the Minangnese ethnicity, with this influence being mediated by agreeableness and neuroticism. Specifically, religiosity was found to have a positive effect on emotional stability and a negative effect on neuroticism, as well as reducing hostility and anger and decreasing anxiety. These findings suggest that religiosity and agreeableness may be important factors to consider when seeking to understand and promote forgiveness in the Minangnese ethnicity

Abstract

Salah satu fenomena yang umum terjadi di Nusa Tenggara Barat adalah praktik grandparenting yang dominan dalam pengasuhan anak usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi pengasuhan grandparenting dalam membentuk kemandirian anak usia 5–6 tahun di Lingkungan Tembelok Kota Mataram NTB. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap tiga pasangan grandparent yang menjadi pengasuh utama cucunya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pengasuhan grandparenting dalam membentuk kemandirian anak dilakukan melalui empat pendekatan utama, yaitu strategi keteladanan, pembiasaan, dukungan emosional dan penghargaan, serta bimbingan moral dan religius. Keempat strategi tersebut membentuk sistem pengasuhan yang saling melengkapi dan efektif dalam menumbuhkan kemandirian anak secara fisik, emosional, dan moral.

Abstract

Indonesia is a nation marked by extensive diversity encompassing a myriad of languages, ethnicities, and religious affiliations. While some studies support the positive implications associated with this diversity, others argue that it harbors the potential for social discord, particularly within distinct religious communities. This research aims to scrutinize the dynamics of mature religious sentiment and Islamic knowledge concerning Muslim-Christian relations, specifically exploring their impact on social prejudice among Muslim students, who constitute the majority and hold prejudicial views towards Christians. The investigation was conducted among Muslim students aged 18-22 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia (N = 254). Employing the structural equation model (SEM) technique for analysis, the findings reveal that mature religious sentiment exerts a direct influence on social prejudice, both independently and mediated through the agreeableness trait. Additionally, Islamic knowledge pertaining to the Muslim-Christian relationship directly influences social prejudice without the intermediary of agreeableness.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the Islamic counseling values contained in the Saman dance poetry and how these values are applied and lived by the Gayo community. The Saman dance, a cultural heritage of the Gayo community, is not only an artistic expression, but also reflects the Islamic counseling values that this community firmly holds. This study uses qualitative research methods with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and text analysis of Saman dance poetry. The results of the research show that the Saman dance poetry consistently depicts Islamic values such as piety, morals and social values. The Gayo community applies these values as a guide for Islamic counseling in everyday life, strengthening social and spiritual ties within the community. By highlighting the relationship between traditional art and Islamic values, this research provides further insight into how art and culture can be an effective means of conveying Islamic counseling messages and strengthening moral values in local communities. The implications of these findings can help in the development of Islamic counseling programs that are integrated with cultural heritage in various communities.
