Abstract

Composite resin is a widely used dental restoration material due to its excellent mechanical and aesthetic properties; however, va-rious external factors, including exposure to chemicals in mouthwash, can affect its hardness. Red betel leaf (Piper crocatum) is known to contain phenols and have antibacterial properties, which are often used in oral health care. This article evaluates the ef-fect of immersing composite resin in DSM decoction on its hardness, analyses the impact of immersion duration, and compares its effects on various types of composite resin. This study employs a scoping review method, reviewing literature from data-bases such as Google Scholar, Science Direct, and PubMed from 2015 to 2025. The articles used were selected based on pre-defined inclusion and exclusion criteria, screened using the PRISMA method, and data analysis was conducted by synthesi-sing the results from relevant articles. It was concluded that soaking composite resin in DSM decoction reduces the materi-al's hardness due to the chemical content in DSM and the duration of soaking. Consideration of restorative materials and their use in combination with natural materials such as red betel leaves should be taken into account in dental practice.

Abstract

Turmeric is a medicinal plant that has many benefits. There are more turmeric production centers in Indonesia in Java and Sumatra, it does not rule out the possibility of turmeric production centers in Aceh Province, one of which is in Seulimum District. The limited knowledge possessed by turmeric farmers, both technology and the market, makes turmeric farmers prefer to sell directly their turmeric harvests rather than processing them first into other products. The purpose of this study was to determine the processing techniques, costs and benefits derived from the turmeric powder processing industry in Lamteuba, Seulimum District, Aceh Besar District. The scope of this research is limited to processing techniques, business feasibility analysis of turmeric powder. Based on the research results, it was found that the turmeric powder processing techniques in Lamteuba already used machine technology such as washing machines, slicing machines, ovens and milling machines. Production costs incurred amounting to Rp. 22,047,273/month with a monthly profit of Rp. 4,952,727. The R/C Ratio value is 1.22, meaning that the business is feasible to run. Abstract

This paper explores the interrelation between leadership and curriculum management in the educational context. Leadership, particularly by school principals, plays a vital role in directing and managing the effective implementation of the curriculum. Meanwhile, curriculum management is a systematic process that includes planning, implementation, evaluation, and development of learning content to align with student needs and current societal demands. The success of curriculum management is strongly influenced by the leadership style and model applied. Visionary and transformational leadership has been proven to foster innovation in curriculum design and execution. Through a descriptive-qualitative approach and literature review, this paper concludes that the synergy between effective leadership and organized curriculum management is a key factor in improving educational quality in schools.

Abstract

Peningkatan kualifikasi dosen merupakan aspek krusial dalam upaya meningkatkan mutu pendidikan tinggi. Portofolio akademik menjadi instrumen penting dalam pengembangan karir dan peningkatan kualifikasi dosen. Namun, masih banyak dosen yang mengalami kesulitan dalam menyusun portofolio akademik yang efektif. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan dosen Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Islam Indragiri dalam menyusun portofolio akademik. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan intensif satu hari dengan pendekatan partisipatif dan praktis. Pelatihan mencakup pengenalan konsep portofolio akademik, teknik dokumentasi kegiatan akademik, strategi penyusunan portofolio, dan praktik langsung. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan kemampuan dosen untuk menyusun portofolio akademik. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualifikasi dosen dan pengembangan karir akademik mereka.

Abstract

This study has significant implications for both theoretical and practical knowledge in human resource management. Theoretical implications include the reinforcement of critical concepts in human capital and motivational theories. However, the practical consequences are particularly noteworthy. The study provides actionable insights for organizations to enhance work discipline and individual quality through targeted training and development programs, thereby improving employee performance. The originality of this study lies in its detailed analysis of the mediating role of a particular quality, a relatively unexplored area in previous research.

Abstract

Purpose: Preconception care (PCC) is fundamental to preparing for a healthy pregnancy by reducing risk factors. However, there are still various obstacles to its implementation. This review aims to identify risk factors and barriers to accessing and implementing PCC. Methods: The research design used a scoping review compiled from articles obtained from four databases: PubMed, ScienceDirect, ProQuest, and Web of Science. The inclusion criteria include original articles published between 2020 and 2025 that are fully accessible, written in English, and reports on PCC risk factors and barriers. Exclusion criteria include theoretical articles without practical applications, research related to specific medical conditions, and articles that are not relevant to the research objectives. The selection process was conducted in accordance with the PRISMA-ScR (2020) guidelines. Data from selected articles were extracted and synthesized narratively in accordance with the Update Methodological Guidance for the Conduct of Scoping Reviews (2020). Results: A total of 896 articles were found in the search. After screening, 14 articles were selected for analysis. These articles represented eight countries, including Ethiopia, the United States of America, and Australia. Low PCC knowledge, poor obstetric history, and maternal age were the most frequently discussed risk factors for PCC. Meanwhile, barriers to PCC implementation were attributed to the lack of PCC guidelines and service standards, low PCC education and promotion, and low motivation and knowledge of healthcare workers. Conclusion: The implementation of PCC remains hindered by policy limitations, system readiness, and health worker capacity, underscoring the need for further research as a basis for developing comprehensive guidelines.

Abstract

The application of information and communication technology (ICT) in public services provides significant opportunities for the development and advancement of rural areas. However, rural governments, as the frontliners in providing public services, face challenges due to a lack of human resources with skills and knowledge in ICT. Therefore, there is a need for continuous efforts to enhance the capacity of human resources through sustained community service activities. The objective of this Community Service Program (PKM) is to improve the quality of public services through the implementation of information and communication technology at the Palewai Village Office. The execution of this program is carried out through three stages of activities. The results of this community service effort include recommendations for using a website as a public information platform, harnessing ICT in public services, and allocating budget resources for infrastructure and facilities that support ICT implementation. This article is of great importance as a reference for carrying out community service activities, especially those related to enhancing the quality of public services through the utilization of ICT in rural governance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak Academic Self-Efficacy (keyakinan diri terhadap kemampuan akademik) dan Time Management (manajemen waktu) terhadap Academic Performance (kinerja akademik) mahasiswa perguruan tinggi di Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada fenomena rendahnya kinerja akademik mahasiswa, yang diduga terkait dengan kurangnya keyakinan diri dan keterampilan mengelola waktu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode Partial Least Squares (PLS) melalui SmartPLS untuk menganalisis data. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa di Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir, dengan sampel sebanyak 150 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik 10 x jumlah indikator. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dengan skala Likert 5 poin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Time Management memiliki pengaruh yang lebih dominan terhadap Academic Performance (β = 0,698, p < 0,05) dibandingkan dengan Academic Self-Efficacy (β = 0,167, p < 0,05). Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa kemampuan mengelola waktu secara efektif lebih berdampak besar pada peningkatan kinerja akademik. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya program pelatihan manajemen waktu dan penguatan keyakinan diri mahasiswa melalui mentoring atau konseling akademik. Dengan demikian, institusi pendidikan dapat merancang strategi untuk meningkatkan kinerja akademik mahasiswa melalui peningkatan kedua faktor tersebut.

Abstract

Guru memiliki peran yang sangat penting yang diharapkan memiliki kemampuan dan terampil dalam penggunaan dan pemanfaatan teknologi yang berkembang sesuai zaman. Kurangnya pengalaman guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi pembelajaran dalam merancang media pembelajaran menjadi landasan terlaksananya workshop pembelajaran ini dengan tujuan dapat membantu serta memudahkan guru untuk berkreasi dalam merancang isi pembelajaran dan melakukan evaluasi terhadap pembelajaran. Penelitian terdiri dari dua tahap yaitu tahap persiapan dan tahap pelaksanaan yang mana pada tahap persiapan diawali dengan mencari sekolah mitra, narasumber, dan segala keperluan untuk keterlaksanaan workshop sedangkan tahap pelaksanaan yaitu segala rangkaian peroses pelaksanaan workshop mulai dari pemberian materi oleh narasumber sampai terkumpulnya LKPD yang dibuat oleh peserta workshop. Ada beberapa hasil dari pelaksanaan workshop ini yaitu peningkatan keterampilan guru-guru di SMA Negeri 8 Makassar dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi AI dalam merancang pembelajaran, pengembangan konten edukasi berbasis AI, kolaborasi dan peningkatan pengalaman, sampai dengan peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran yang berlangsung di dalam kelas.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze the effectiveness of the "Rembulan" baby massage service innovation at Lontar Health Center, Surabaya, in reducing stunting prevalence. This service enhances infant health and well-being through massage methods that support relaxation, optimal growth, and motor development. In the context of efforts to reduce stunting rates, the program focuses on infants and children under two years old who are at risk of malnutrition and growth delay. This research employs a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews, field observations, and secondary data analysis. Respondents include healthcare workers, parents, and stakeholders directly involved in the baby massage service. The results indicate that the "Rembulan" baby massage program increases infants' nutritional intake by boosting appetite, optimizing digestion, and improving sleep quality. These benefits contribute to better growth and development, reducing the risk of stunting. The study concludes that baby massage innovation has significant potential as a non-pharmacological intervention in public health programs. This service is effective when integrated with nutrition education and continuous health monitoring. Proper implementation can make baby massage a comprehensive solution in government efforts to reduce stunting prevalence in Indonesia
